intel valley the marauders winners of four out of their last six coming off a tie versus perennial power in the 3628 oxnard back on september 24th we're about set and ready to go here live from lima nemo six goals on the season chris romero and lima converging on that attack and disaster momentarily averted for santa monica still struggling for possession santa monica the corsair is now with it has that one poked away ball's going to go out of bounds should stay with the corsairs along with brian gutierrez on the ball now that's kalyn williams williams sends that one back to goal santa monica with a little long ball over the top doesn't find its mark meanwhile abc takes control aaron pass that'll go to the far side out of bounds back to the marauders and the early going here this is the nelson garcia losing it gutierrez now with the ball gets it back defense is there a late tackle and there will be a free kick coming to the corsairs defense is there a late tackle and there will be a free kick coming free kick from midfield this one trying to get squirted in nearly finds its mark collision from the goalkeeper for antelope valley but now a counter opportunity for antelope valley ball played back there's a whistle and we're gonna have perhaps an offside intended target was lima daniel pantaleon end goal today for the marauders that's nifty footwork on the near side that by david rodriguez to foia it's gonna be a throw in kaylon williams with a long throw in and a bounce not technically a shot on goal but looks like nathan comey the goalkeeper coming up with it excuse me it looks like david rodriguez the freshman in gold for santa monica entry pass intercepted by the marauders good defense there by avc throw in coming for santa monica santa monica coming in off of their last two games both ties versus golden west and glendale this is juarez brandon gives off in the middle giving go and that one off the head of kalin williams good defense there into the hand of the keeper and pantaleon allow that to go the length of the field get these troops back the other way jose mendez cortez up ahead again looking for the forwards romero and lima williams on the back line that one off the mark but bounces to a marauder gutierrez back to williams williams an imposing figure on that defensive back line for antelope valley gutierrez intercepts miscommunication gutierrez gives it away santa monica that pass off the mark abc will take over in the middle of the field gutierrez turns on it nice touch pass opportunity here that one off of the foot of lima back to the core centers and a counter opportunity for santa monica no numbers two on three can they make a move and this one will be the first corner kick of the match corner kick looking for the back post dangerous ball and that one nearly into the goal for santa monica but it goes wide right see if we can get a replay on it we see the ball carry him off and that one just wide right we'll have a pretty good look at it again so avc gets away with one poor defense off a set piece but antelope valley oh back hill beautiful just nearly finding the mark but that one nearly over the head of the keeper for santa monica and rodriguez corrals the ball for the corsairs and we remain scoreless here in the eighth minute that ball out of bounds looks like winnard lost it gutierrez to himself gets away from him excuse me cortes solid defense from abc pestering santa monica and the corsairs get up quick turn on it near side this is romero romero goes five hole and this one out of bounds will be a corner or a throw in deep i think it's gonna be a corn i think it's gonna be a corner no the header from williams will go out of bounds santa monica will take over santa monica inching themselves up the field as it's brandon juarez looking to bring it in for the corsairs juarez sends it back and that went right to gutierrez excuse me cortes cortez off fabian duran duran does that one eek through romero converging on it finally wins it tafoya makes a move duran loses it that's terrific defense on the back line in the 12th minute scoreless closest opportunity was santa monica time of possession pretty equal you're maybe saying that antelope valley a slight edge a dangerous ball but it's not going to get there is pantaleon puts in some work that's a forearm shiver clearly a foul getting chippy out there early on dennis danielson garcia the offending party on that one and kalyn williams says hey i got your back see if we can modify the graphic here for you williams a little give and go he won't be able to catch up to it it won't be a goalkeeper that's a nice play by williams not allowing that to go out for a goal kick it's gonna be a tough throwing robert vargas going to check into the ball game for antelope valley williams with one heck of a throw in dangerous spot there was an opportunity for fabian duran we go back the other way for santa monica duran quickly converges defensively from the midfield position out of bounds off of durand will stay with santa monica in the 15th minute throw in for the corsairs doesn't really find its mark back and forth santa monica with an entry into the hands of pantaleon is dangerous ball up the middle does not find its mark marauders stay with it here's lima lima beautiful touch pass that one finds romero romero trying to cross it in and the back heel not there that's a terrific effort see the little helpers out front corsairs take possession goal kick for pantaleon that's a terrific turn in the midfield santa monica maintain maintains possession that's heredia heredia enters in comes to the near side finds his mark turning on that one was denison garcia nothing doing there another opportunity for santa monica it's been the spirited first half for the corsairs they come in with the inferior record meanwhile avc five one and two only one loss on the season and off of uh well i don't want to i don't know if you want to call it a moral victory but a tie versus oxnard it's no easy feat get the marauders maybe a little bit caught on their heels here a couple flashy plays but that's pretty much it the opportunities the better ones have gone to santa monica they maintain possession here which is rogelio cruz cruz over to mcdonald mcdonald near side comes to juarez juarez on the ball gives off winner that's good touch denison he's been active here in the first half terrific ball winner enters in and that one handled nicely by pantaleon yeah that's just a just a terrific ball but pantaleon makes a play again the corsairs on the move with possession no pressure from the defense finally one squirts away but right to a corsair player that one poked away winner with an opportunity out front pantaleon again and we see the replay i just kind of sloppy play pantaleon with another bailout juarez off the garcia garcia couple nice plays here in the first half for the corsairs enters into the middle denelson gets it back from cano the defense is there from williams williams comes away with it williams nice touch give and go yes williams with a head of steam ahead of the pack this is not offsides williams with an opportunity crosses it up and nobody's home let's watch this one again as kalyn williams comes free and nobody home oh can't believe it romero was in the vicinity but the timing's just not there and that that entire play really spearheaded by the effort of caitlyn williams makes the interception gets a giving go in the midfield and then makes a play let's see it again look at that no i mean just duran may be on the back line but late to get there a in for the marauders and they have freshman forward local product from lancaster high school easy to spot out there with the flaming hot cheeto hair hair color throw in for abc and a with it loses it goes out of bounds that's off the corsairs it's going back to the marauders so n a thought about throwing it instead he'll get ahead of the pack here's a throw-in from the far side that ball well out of play throw in from the near side this one headed over by victor jimenez corsairs again with it sebastian alvarez luna newly checked into the ball game for santa monica this ball gets ahead dangerous position for pantaleon is the flag up it looked like there was no sense of urgency with pantaleon how to play no the flag was up it will be an offsides and a free kick see how he play there from victor canau trying to snake bite that one romero plays that one in nothing doing there nice touch great ball opportunity go lasso let's see that one one more time that's just a terrific effort and a play up front look at the touch pass score it off the quick restart santa monica gets caught standing look at this ball from romero excuse me not romero look like tafoya maybe and it was victor jimenez with the goal it's one of nothing antelope valley back to live action oh just like that abc up one nothing some fancy touch passing in the middle of the field catching santa monica flat on their heels santa monica with a nice ball through duran with a play on it did he touch it with the hand that one batted away some back and forth there no whistle possession will stay with smc in santa monica in a dangerous ball there we go kick oh it's been a terrific first half for daniel pantaleon you another dangerous ball here that one from the wrong side roughly 16 minutes in change here in the first half it's been a lot of stoppage time here but one nothing courtesy of victor jimenez from david rodriguez to foia on the assist might be a couple assists on that play there were a couple of really unbelievable touches to free up jimenez that's a handball no call that's good defense pantaleon coming out of his post to kick that one away to foia again up ahead but that one gets away from him dangerous ball off the head comes near side danger zone williams bats it away but this one poked out of bounds can be another corner kick this time awarded santa monica winner readies the kick and that one nearly found the mark pretty dangerous play here that one gets through williams maybe chicken winged it that's a great play on the far side disaster averted no goals on the tally for santa monica i have a couple subs here looks like one of the little helpers might need us up they're looking for lima he's the dangerous man did he win a corner kick rodriguez instead we'll go kick it away back to the marauders it goes lima loses in the middle of the field lima with 12 points on the season six goals that doubles up second on the team in both categories jimenez i believe with his third goal on the season now check that his fourth was second on the team coming into today's matchup lima with six on the year 12 points avila cortez also with a pair of goals and a the dangerous freshman very athletic very fast freshman forward two goals on the season as well lima it's turned around winner nice ball out front that one headed away nicely that's terrific defense by abc pretty pretty nice ball with touch from winner and nothing doing due to the defense from anila valley juarez off to duran or excuse me cano cano in pursuit would be the first man there no it's duran that one poked back cano fabian duran kicks that one out of bounds santa monica will retain possession as they bumping the midfield no whistle williams comes off pokes it off of a santa monica player well ever since that play from williams the the momentum seemed to have shift shifted in favor of abc he makes a play on defense gets an offensive touch near assist with a great crossing pass nobody home on that but shortly thereafter avc who had been fairly quiet in the first half wakes up scores the first goal of the game from victor jimenez jimenez who we see on the screen right here in the marauder maroon winner tafoya directing traffic will he get it back he will but he'll kick it out of bounds this is be a goal kick didn't know if it was gonna go on the other side of the flag or not came near side to the back line it'll go rodriguez will take it williams in pursuit he'll try to flip the field marauders in pursuit right to duran dangerous spot jimenez turns on it that one in for a goal let's see that one one more time sloppy defense a lazy ball to the back line and rodriguez gives it right to durand touch pass crosser lima his seventh goal of the season most dangerous man on the pitch for the marauders puts it home we'll have another look of it this time on the near side cam and we see everything unravel here it goes to duran jimenez with the cross and near side corner for lima two nothing antelope valley now we're gonna go out of play back to the marauders santa monica with possession at the midfield can they muster something up here at the end of the first half canoe with some room sends that one over the crossbar and out of play lima makes a play gives it off to jimenez it's been lima jimenez the goal scorers just have for the marauders not a shocker there as the statistics on the season would have told you that coming in duocore newly into the ball game mcdonald with it near side looking for a crosser sends a dangerous ball inside but handled well by tafoya that when kicked out of play by romero it'll stay in santa monica will retain possession coming up in the 40th minute here in the first half corsair is trying to get numbers forward that one off of the hand and out of play of avila duo corey gives off to juarez williams flips the field but right to rodriguez well the margin for air if you're on your heels against this team with finishers like jimenez and and lima is pretty thin because you make a mistake like we saw there from rodriguez in the second goal they're going to make you pay and it was jimenez fabian duran fabian inside looking for lehman not enough on it to find it its intended target lima bumps his man out of bounds and it's gonna be a free kick for santa monica duran with a good idea probably looking for a little give and go action there between himself and lima but not enough on the pass to get there in think that one kind of initiated there by duo corey and do a corey gets up he's fine pantaleon they kick it away challenge forward at midfield one by the corsairs and then one back and then a collision by tafoya incidental na loses the ball numbers here for santa monica if they can make a play on it and na late with that challenge this might be a free kick and do a corey again the man on the deck juarez will come in and i wonder if they're gonna have a talk with na if we can see what happened here oh not entirely sure what happened there but we'll step away momentarily rotter's up two to nothing you would look like he maybe caught one to the nose it's gonna be a freak kick in a pretty dangerous spot here see if we get the signal here a challenge in the middle and this is going to be an even dangerous even more dangerous spot corsair is now in business with a chance to cut the lead in half at the end of the first half or in stoppage time this one trying to sneak through any pokes that one away and will that perhaps do it for the first half no be throwing for the corsairs this one will not stay in bounds throw in do a corey give and go back post nobody there was a marauder head it gets it out of harm's way and that'll do it for the first half and we go back to the goals the first from victor jimenez and we'll see it again and then we'll see goal number two jimenez again involved in this one see an errant cake from rodriguez fabian duran handles it perfectly sets up jimenez who then sets up the leading goal scorer on the season for antelope valley lima marks here's tafoya to foia off of santa monica no they'll say it's off of tafoya ain't no argument from tafoya so probably the right call pretty advantage point of it up here so you see it on the monitor santa monica in the white working right to left here in the second half the marauder maroon that ball in it for a goal and out of nowhere it's canoe i mean there really wasn't much there uh here's the ball nice header pretty good spot just a dangerous strike and bam two to one santa monica striking first blood in this second half whoa so the corsair is on the board it was a slow start to the first half for avc battle for the ball between gutierrez cano the intended target here he'll have another crack at it it looks like he's free and duo corey has this one saved by pantaleon look at this ball here you talk about dangerous pantaleon gets a hand on it wow hello valley seeing enough they're going to get some substitutions here i wonder what the conversation is being had here are they saying that this is going to be a penalty no that won't be the call i wonder if there was a card issued unsportsmanlike illegal substitution not entirely sure what the conversation is see if we get some clarity from sports information director here at antelope valley college by endeavors pantaleon will take it away into a sea of white and blue this one pinballed up into the sky a slip there gutierrez able to maintain possession to foia meanwhile in the midfield that's a nice play from gutierrez because he obviously slipped on the ball but able to maintain possession instead of giving it up duran loses his footing gutierrez taps it out we're awaiting word from byron evers sports information director for avc see what that long conversation was about that ball gets away from cortez cortez meanwhile gets it back loses it pretty good defense there from santa monica heredia up ahead and that one headed away terrific defense by abc on a dangerous ball already again on it working against tafoya gives it off brings it near side to luna canoe score the game's first goal for santa monica as that ball squirt through pantaleon kicks it away jimenez working for it duran no gonzalez kicks it up ahead to a corey was there but pants alone there first abc will try to counter defense there again josh rodriguez duo corey just falls down say get up let's get no whistle there from the ref the corsairs maintaining possession in the middle of the field and cano has that one get away victor cano with the first goal on a fantastic strike from outside of the box we'll watch it again a nice ball found its mark for sure as you look at the first goal nothing doing there this pantaleon comes away with it it'll be a goal kick dangerous action there duo corey does that one go over the crossbar ten minutes gone by here in the second half santa monica with a goal early in this second half cutting the lead to two to one for the marauders throw in near side duran along with lima in pursuit lima wins it lima looking to enter it in he does romero turns on it and scores well much like the ball out of nowhere and the throw in starts from diego chavez to lima lima with a beautiful ball inside romero turns on it fires chris romero 3-1 abc physical play in the middle of field and again starting to get chippy out there we saw it get chippy in that first half with denison garcia getting into it with brian gutierrez that time it was sebastian alvarez luna bit of frustration great ball and a great turn lima to romero for goal number three on the night for antelope valley this one a terrific ball finds canoe canoe converged on by a sea of maroon and the ball tapped away good defense there from the marauders lima in pursuit of this one can't get to it in time josh rodriguez up ahead corsairs entering the ender into the top of the box miscommunication key lon williams wins it to foia in the middle of the field quick touch give and go gutierrez fabian duran duran up ahead has that one squirt through the legs of a corsair defender back to gutierrez jorge chavez chavez enters into romero give and go chavez with a head of steam looking to cross and that one defended well by the corsairs as that one is hit out of harm's way out of bounds off of the marauders it'll be heredia entering it in keno near side canoe heredia radio waiting for numbers to get forward doesn't have the opportunity chavez kicks this one away and some good action two-way action from both teams but on the night it's the marauders getting the better better of it up two goals three to one in the 15th minute of the second half lima we'll allow some numbers to get forward dangerous ball there duran a lot of green in front of him but that pass intercepted nicely by sean mcdonald mcdonald now with it in the middle of the field on the santa monica side free kick mcdonnell pushing for some room here as heredia will go on the restart that ball pass the goal line it'll be a goal kick for avc the corsairs and they look like he might have sent that off of mcdonald dangerous ball will not find the mark do a corey intended target heredia looking for canoe it's going to find his mark you know we'll handle it looking to get past his defender and abc backline not having any of it duran to any do corey from winnard and good pressure there by the defense of the marauders to foia late challenge from about 30 yards out a nice bounce too duran will throw in has lima lima with a head of steam challenged by the goalie and i wonder if there's going to be a call here there's going to be a discussion here because the way it played out we'll have a replay of it here for you what's up lima's okay it looked like he might have just got the wind knocked out of him let's look at it here we'll have the throw in from duran that's just a terrific job and there's a challenge from the goalie incidental is that what they're gonna rule meanwhile another well i i have to imagine if uh if var was in play here we would have had a review and i think it might have went against rodriguez in goal for santa monica lead remains 3-2 antelope valley on top of santa monica kaylaon williams will enter it in from the near side henry goes back this might be a corner no they will rule it a goal kick possession for santa monica in pursuit battle for it between duran heredia duran still working tafoya comes away with it enters ahead looking for lima lima and purser in pursuit excuse me lima's gonna win it this is gonna be tapped out of bounds at a corner one let's go back to the play here and the challenge from rodriguez i don't know if rodriguez made contact with the ball and if he doesn't isn't that a penalty dangerous ball and jimenez almost puts that one in lima some contact and gabriel rodriguez fortunately he did not pick up a free kick in favor of the marauders as lima will allow keylon williams to throw in williams off of the head of a corsair and a corner kick that looked a little suspicious might have a first card of the game here yeah that was a little late i think that's there's easily a case to be made for a yellow card for josh rodriguez clearly late right balls away comes in late comes in low with a player in midair that's it's a dangerous ball no sign of a card here this is a it's a rough spot for a set piece tough ball on goal from avila avila saved by rodriguez and we're back the other way for santa monica do a quarry poked away broke away by cortez heredia with a goal in this one enters in to mcdonald one tap to the bounds by fabian duran that's a great ball if you can get to it winnard enters into duocore in the box contact late contact made no call made cano meanwhile lets it fly into the hands of pentalone quick restart both teams a fan of that look at this ball here and i mean that's pretty late winner makes a terrific play oof wow and tafoya on the play looked like he hurt himself on the challenge tafoya is going to have to come off to foyer with an assist in this one assisted on the opening goal to victor jimenez oh taj winner with that ball there that easily could have been a penalty inside of the box there with a late challenge that ball nearly finding its mark ivor that pokes it away let's hope dafoya is okay he's gonna come off he'll be subbed in for fabian duran looking for lima lima a little tired out there has it sale just past them so abc clinging to a one goal lead easily with a couple calls going in favor of santa monica this could be a tie ball game corsair is coming in with a record of two three and two overall losses to el camino and chaffee ellie harbor with some momentum coming in a couple of times versus golden west and then glendale respectively and a forces this one out of bounds it'll be a corner kick pantaleon pokes this one away after the corner kick from winnard heredia great ball mcdonald's saved by that's that might be a penal and indeed it will be heredia in the box well pretty vociferous crowd here but we're gonna have a pretty good look at it as heredia is challenged from behind she it looks like heredia just slips and doesn't make contact with the ball it's a fortuitous circumstance here for santa monica that was saved by pantaleon and a counter n a has that one go off what a save by daniel pantaleon look at this pantaleon guesses right preserves the 3-2 lead in the 45th minute look at this save from daniel pontaleon wow that might have been the last hurrah for santa monica been a valiant effort from the corsairs but pantaleon has been fantastic this evening for the marauders that's your player of the game jimenez with a goal and an assist but a couple of of opportunities in the first half that could have gone really awry for the marauders had it
