we'll do communion after the sermon after the message all right this is the time that we would ask that you would open your smartphone so i'm going to open mine you all take yours out that's fine and open the app okay so if you don't have the app let me ask you right now do not wait because there's always uh some that have not um actually downloaded i can i know that for a fact because i i can see how many people are downloading it all right and uh so this is really awesome we love the app please go get it right now here's how you do it go to either the play store or the app store whichever one is for you search for other words calvary hillsboro it's the first thing that you're going to see there it's free right now go and get it right it is so so useful it's got a lot of resources that we're going to highlight for you and i should also let you know if you are in the house whether in the sanctuary or in the fellowship hall if you do not have a device smart device you are welcome to borrow one of ours we actually have a number of tablets and you're welcome to check them out all right you can follow along the sermon notes as well uh as to register for things all of that is for you that main banner it will take you to the page where you can make reservations like that is the easiest possible way uh right and uh so i wanted to highlight that for you also go back cover 19 response tab uh the letters that i'm sending to the church videos that we put in and how things are going to work all kinds of resources if you need anything at all we've got a whole team of people on standby ready to help in any way that you might need it watch devotionals look at that tab always adding new devotionals they are just like that an opportunity to just grow in your devotion to the lord use a few more hands uh on our sanitation team these are the volunteers that are making every service sanitized ready for the next one and it's really easy because we have this cool backpack sprayer right that puts out this little mist and it's got like a two-minute kill time on the virus and it's like easy right so if you'd like to help us and you really love carrying around a backpack sprayer there's something really macho about that although that's not a feminine word but okay um click on that and you'll see a form there just fill in your information hit the submit button on the top right and we'll get in touch with you so love to have your help now go to the highlighted events let me highlight a couple of things first of all um notice that many resources are here especially for those that are watching the service at home online the kids search online that's how you connect the the students for the youth group connection is right here as well as far as how you get your kids connected through youth group it's a zoom connection on that one so they're gonna need password and all that stuff okay and also let me highlight while we're on this highlighted events uh there's a young adults gathering coming up uh on october 16th so if you're in the age group of 18 to 30. we'd love to get you connected to that ministry and draw everyone back together they're going to have some food some some time of just having some fellowship and some fun together so let us know that you're going to be there love to have all uh of that age group just gathered together we're excited for what god is doing with all of that uh generation as well last thing i want to tell you on as far as announcements pastor sean is going to be speaking tomorrow night out of matthew 14. jesus calms the storm and he'll calm the storm today and i want to encourage you you'll be blessed tomorrow night at that service now this is the time in the service we would normally ask our ushers to come ahead and receive our tithes and our offerings we will not be doing that because that's a common surface and the virus is spread that way so we're not going to do a collection of uh receiving of tithes and offerings all right so here's what we want to let you know first of all if you're either in the sanctuary or the fellowship hall there are what we call agape boxes uh put in the various places in either room but i want to just encourage everyone whether you're here or in the fellowship hall or online watching that all of this is made super easy on the app or website well let me show you for like for example on the main page for one-time donations you would click on give donate online also you can scroll down and log into your account everyone who's ever supported or donated has an account you say well i don't know that i have one then you click create one we would want you to get connected that way it's a great way to set up regular giving and track your giving and all that sort of thing and i should also say all of this is available on our website you just go to calvaryhillsboro.org right at the top over there it says members click on that and you'll see all of these same things available to you right there as i mentioned before what a lot of people do is just go to their online banking and set up automated bill pay that's super easy however you do it let me just say again how much it is appreciated thank you for standing by these are crazy days and it's just appreciated that you would stand with us through all of this all right that's all i have for announcements so church let's do a bible study i'm excited to ask you to open your bibles to deuteronomy we finished the study that we were doing in revelation and many of you know that we were studying in deuteronomy before this whole pandemic hit and and so we want to go back to that and before i do the uh the prayer over the the message tonight i want to ask also that we would pray for our president and for those in leadership over us the scripture tells us that we should pray for those in leadership and particularly now that uh he has been tested positive for the virus and many of those around him i just think that this is a time of urgency that we should pray for our nation and pray for our leaders amen so let's pray and then look to god's word father we do want to begin by interceding in prayer for our leaders our president his wife his his family and those in leadership around him as many have now contracted this virus and we just pray and intercede god just heal quickly restore fullness of strength and health we pray for our leaders as your word tells us that we must do and the need of the hour is clear god now we also look to our scriptures and say god thank you for sending forth your word and we open our heart tonight and say god use it in our lives use it to strengthen our our faith our heart after you we ask that now in jesus powerful name and everyone said amen and amen so here we are deuteronomy is moses really it is moses giving his last speech to israel before they cross the jordan right now at this point they're at the end of their 40 years they're on the other side of the jordan over by the dead sea area and they're just about to to cross that jordan and enter in moses is not going with them god has already said to moses you're not going over with the people of israel so he gives this last epic speech and you can sense right away that moses is calling for revival that's really what the message is about and that's why to me it's such a relevant book today because there's a need for revival right now for well what we are experiencing what we are seeing happening in the world right now these are crazy days this is a this is a year we will remember but i'm telling you that in very many ways it is the beginning of birth pangs there are more troubles that are coming upon the earth the lord told us we've been looking at that prophetic word in that way so the need of the hour is very much the same revival and you can sense the urgency in moses and i think that's right we need a sense of urgency this is not the time to kind of lay back and be casual this is the time to press in spiritually to be strong because this world is messed up this world is broken but just because the world is broken doesn't mean you need to be broken right you can be strong you can have a foundation and that's the whole point now you know that it's a call for revival when moses gives the greatest words that god has ever spoken did you know that in deuteronomy in this book are found the greatest words that god has ever said now the reason you say well pastor how do you know that because jesus told us that when when a a expert in the law came to jesus and said teacher what is the foremost and greatest of all the things that god has ever said and he he quoted from deuteronomy when he answered you shall love the lord your god this is the greatest word that god has ever said you shall love the lord your god with all of your heart that's the greatest word you shall love the lord your god with all of your soul you shall love the lord your god with all of your strength and all of your mind he's quoting from deuteronomy and then he said and the second is like it you shall love your neighbor as yourself that's from deuteronomy 2. and all these two commandments hang the entirety of the law and prophets or the old testament it's a call for revival because he's given the most epic words that god ever spoke now what is he doing he's setting before them a choice he says now i you must choose i'm sitting before you now life and death prosperity or adversity in other words the blessing of god or difficulty troubles adversity see there comes a time of choosing and i tell you i'm convinced that we are now at a crossroads we are at a time of choosing choose the path in which you will walk now he strongly you can just imagine he's strongly encouraging them to choose life how how do you choose life you choose life by loving the lord your god with all your heart that is what revival is and that is the path that he wants you to walk now here's what's interesting so he gives this epic message and and we come to this section here now where god after this epic message god brings moses aside and he says to moses this people when they cross that jordan he of course he four knows this people when they cross that jordan they will in fact go after strange gods the gods of the land in which they're going they will in fact forsake me and they will break my covenant which i made with him and in that day when they turn away from me and adversity and trouble come into their lives they will blame me god says they will blame me in that day and they will say this is happening because god is no longer with us and so that's where we come where he says to moses therefore i want you to teach the people a song to sing and i want that the words of that song to contain these very thoughts that they can sing these words that they would sing them over and over learn a song and have the words of that song contain the very heart of god that they would sing it with their children and be reminded again and again so that when adversity comes when they turn away from me that this song would be a testimony to them and that they would come home that they would come back see god this is i think a beautiful thing god says i know that they will go wayward but i'm telling you now i want them to come back i want them to come home so he wrote down the words of this song and that's really where we are here he then assembled all of israel and taught them the song until they knew the words because a song is powerful at that time there was literally only one copy of the uh the words of moses and he wrote them down himself that was the one copy and then he gave that one copy to the uh priest who began to write it but they didn't have what we have everybody in this room and the fellowship ball and at home you all got your own copy so you can read these words and be reminded again and again of god's heart but they didn't have that so he said let them learn this song and this song will be a testimony to them so that they'll never forget what god told them see songs have a very powerful way of embedding themselves in our in our memory you might say that's why that's why today so many companies you know they'll hire people to write songs so they can sell their products with songs it's i'm sure that's still going on i don't watch tv today but back when i back when i was a kid i remember some of the songs that you know companies would write and uh again i don't know the new ones right i just know the old ones right pop pop fizz fizz oh i want to really okay anybody remember that one see you got to be old to remember some of these songs you know hot dog armor hot dog i shouldn't even be singing these right but but you know you remember these old ditties right they get stuck in your mind right songs have a powerful way of doing them but more than that a song can stir the soul there's something about a song when it comes from the very depths of your soul that's very much powerful because it resonates your soul resonates with the words of that message and it becomes written on your heart all right deuteronomy 32 let's read some of it it's a bit of a long song we will read the the all of the verses uh at one of the wednesday services coming up the wednesday uh uh messages are a little behind that guy on wednesday is a little slow but we're gonna get caught up but when we get to this point we'll read all of the verses of that song but right now we're going to just read some of them that i want to highlight god's heart that comes through the song uh deuteronomy 32 let's begin reading in verse 7. this is part of the words of the song and of course i don't know the melody line nor do i know it in hebrew but verse seven remember the days of old you know remember okay that's terrible but remember the days of old in other words remember what god has done never forget never forget that's part of the song remember the days of old consider the years of all generations ask your father ask your father and he will tell you ask your elders they will inform you when the most high gave the nations their inheritance when he separated the sons of man he set the boundaries of peoples according to the number of the sons of israel in other words he looked out for israel first when setting the boundaries of the nations verse 9 for the lord's portion is his people jacob is the allotment of his god's inheritance he found them in a desert land let's let's recount this shall we let's sing the song let's recount this he found them in a desert land he found them in a howling waste of a wilderness he encircled them he cared for them he guarded them as the as the apple of his eye don't you love that expression as the apple of his eye like an eagle you can just imagine the powerful word stirring now like an eagle that stirs up its nest he spread his wings and cut them he carried them on his pinions it's an aspect of wings right the lord alone guided israel guided him there is no foreign god with him he made him ride on high places this is what god did see he wants them to recount what god did he made them to ride on high places of the earth and and to eat the produce up the field he made him to drink honey from the rock and oil from the flinty rock there's a real depth to this curds of cows milk of the flock fat of lambs rams the breed of bashan some of the best in other words goats with the finest of the wheat and the blood of grapes with the blood of grapes you drank wine okay these these are the words i want us to look at there's obviously much more but these are the words that i want us to highlight because it captures god's heart for israel and now for us starting with this the lord has done great things for us that is the theme the lord has done in fact there was a song that we used to sing some years ago in the church maybe some of you remember it see it stuck in my mind all these years the lord has done great things for us the lord has done great things for us and we are glad so very glad right maybe some of you remember some of these songs that's the point of singing such a thing to be reminded do you remember he says verse 7 sing this remember the days of old ask your fathers they will tell you in other words never never never take god for granted see when you look back over your life see how many people would do this i know i can i can look back over my life and i can recount the amazing ways that god has blessed my life that he has poured his favor that he has watched over my life i can recount them oh i've said many times i want to write a book god has done so much to reveal his hand in my life how many people whether you're here in the fellowship hall or at home how many people would say oh yeah i can recount i can look back and i can tell you that god has done great things for me how many people would say that very thing i know this god has done great things you see that's the idea you want to strengthen faith one of the ways that you strengthen faith is when you remember what god has done never ever never forget no take it for granted remember be reminded sing it sing it as a song that's what he's saying sing it sing it sing it again and then he adds this to the to the song and you are god's portion god loves you so much he says you are my inheritance you're my portion verse eight it says an interesting thing that it says when the most high gave the nations their inheritance or their portion he set the boundaries of the nations according to the number of the sons of israel in other words he looked after israel first when setting the boundaries of the nation he considers israel special no i don't object to that i think that's a wonderful thing because he's giving an example to the world of his heart and because he has a very similar heart for you by the way and and then it tells us that when he he set the boundaries of the tribes he was watching over the tribes of israel when he set their boundaries even levi the tribe that got no land inheritance he says oh i have an inheritance for you i will be your portion and then god his inheritance his portion is his people deuteronomy 26 18 just a few chapters back the lord has today declared to you he has declared you to be his people a treasured position now god says a powerful thing he says you are a treasured possession as he promised in a similar way the scriptures say to the church in regard to the church similar things similar promises known as ephesians chapter 1 verse 18 i pray that the eyes of your heart may be opened or enlightened open your heart open your eyes i want you to see this so that you will know the hope of his calling and the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints like that's his portion he you are a treasured possession see one of the ways to understand the value of something is by the price that was paid for it you are a treasured possession and i will redeem you i will redeem you he says by the greatest price that is possible to be paid i'll redeem you with the blood of my own son that's how treasured you are to me that's how much i love you he says sing that sing it in a song that you'll never forget it first corinthians chapter 6 verses 19 to 20. do you not know i've combined these ideas here out of these verses to see the point do you not know that you're not your own for you have been bought with the price a great price the highest of all prices was paid for you revelation 5 verse 9 and they sang a new song saying word speaking of singing a song revelation 5 9 they wrote this song worthy are you to take the book and the break its seals for you were slain and purchased for god with your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation such was the price that was paid and then notice what he says recount this to them in this song recount it you were found in a dry place never forget the condition of your life before god found you now some people came to christ when they were young when they were children and so they don't have a before christ or a bc much praise god for that i'll tell you praise god for that but there are many who came to faith in christ after experiencing much trouble and adversity in the world he says he found you in a dry place never forget the condition of your life before you came that will make you appreciate what god did that will make you appreciate it he says he found him in the desert land that condition you see it's the same is true for you and me he found you in a dry and weary land where there was no water what a picture this that's it's picturing the world in which we're living right now we are living in a dry and weary land where there is no water and god is right now redeeming people god is redeeming people out of that dry and weary land where there is no water and i'll say to you especially those that are watching from home if you're experiencing that right now that you're living in a time or a land of dry and weariness god will redeem you never forget never forget it pictures the soul that's thirsty see i'm living in a dry and weary land where there is no water the soul is thirsty there's something deep in the soul that longs to be satisfied longs to drink deeply of that which is good and right and godly and righteous and have the soul satisfied but when he speaks of a dry and weary land where there is no water he's talking about the stuff of the world because nothing in the world satisfies the thirst of the soul like psalm 63 verse 1 oh god oh god you are my god and i seek i will seek you earnestly my soul thirsts for you my flesh yearns for you god in a dry and weary land where there is no water oh that's so what a what a great psalm that is i was thinking of an illustration you know one of the most famous rock songs of all time came out of the 60s i know a lot about the 60s i read all about it in the books but one of the one of the most epic rock songs of all time came out of the 60s 1965 it was a song by the rolling stones and it became kind of a kind of an icon of the of the day kind of an icon of the era because people could relate to it and uh some of you people who are a little older might remember i can't get no i can't get no satisfaction okay ignore the poor grammar there they had more thing more important things to do than learn grammar in the 60s like start a revolution but the rolling stones i can't get no satisfaction but i try and i try and i try that's the words of the song that's pretty much the whole song right there people love that song it's like the number one song it's like an icon of the era you know why people love that song because they can relate to it i can't get no satisfaction but i try and i try and i try maybe the problem was that they didn't understand the difference between a rolling stone and a solid rock see what i did there that was fun but when christ is your foundation that's the point when you have a foundation right when you have a rock and you know from whom blessing comes you know in whom you have believed you know in whom you trust then your soul can be satisfied to the full notice okay this is also psalm 63 verses 3-5 because your loving-kindness is better than life my lips will praise you i will bless you as long as i live you know what that that's an expression of a soul that's satisfied that's the expression of a soul that is filled and overflowing your loving-kindness is better than life that's why my lips will praise you i will bless you as long as i live god and i will lift up my hands to your name my soul is satisfied as with moral and fatness and my mouth offers praises with joyful lips and then next verse in deuteronomy 32 the next verse verse 10 speaks of the world from which he saved you when he says in a howling waste in the wilderness i took you from the howling waste in the wilderness that that's an apt description what a picture of the world waste there is so many there are so many lives that are wasted today what a god gave you a gift when he gave you a life he gave you a soul he gave you a gift like don't waste it don't waste it another expression that came out of the 60s i was wasted man i was wasted see if they're if they if they had a trip on drugs then they i was wasted that's a nap description don't waste your life here's what i'll say though i don't care how old you are i don't care how old you are if you look back on your life and you say well i've wasted you don't understand pastor i've wasted a lot of my life i will say to you this it's not too late to change your life it's not too late to come to a place where your life is no longer wasted you come and honor god with your heart and your life will not be wasted he will redeem whatever you got left he will redeem it for his glory don't waste your life notice because of what he says next i want you to have them sing this god watches over the apple of his eye he says you're the apple of my eye you see what he's trying to say never forget my heart my heart is after you my heart is after you he encircled him he cared for him he guarded him as the apple of his eye it's the it's the pupil right in other words i'm looking right at you i'm looking right at you my eye's on you you are the delight of my eyes see the apple of the eye means you're the delight of my i love to put my eye on you when the eyes of the lord range too and fro throughout the earth in other words the apple of his eye is israel in the same way god says he keeps you as the apple of his eye there's a song that that was very popular some years ago speaking of a song very popular song in the in the church his eye is on the sparrow some of you might remember this song beautiful beautiful song his eyes on the sparrow i want to just quote some of the words because it captures this very thought why should i feel discouraged it's a very beautiful song why should i feel discouraged why should the shadows come why should my heart be lonely and long for heaven heaven and home when jesus is my portion my constant friend is he his eye is on the sparrow and i know he watches over me i sing because i'm happy i sing because i'm free for his eye is on the spiral and i know he watches over me see when you put it in a song it's so powerful psalm 17 verses 7 to 8 wondrously show your loving-kindness wondrously show your loving-kindness o savior o savior of those who take refuge at your right hand keep me as the apple of your eye isn't that beautiful psalm 17 wondrously show your loving-kindness oh savior of those who take refuge at your right hand keep me as the apple of the eye zechariah 2 8 for thus says the lord of hosts he who touches you touches the apple of my eye in other words don't don't touch israel it's the apple of god's eye somebody might say well i don't feel like it i don't feel like he's guarding me as the apple of his eye i'm going through difficulties i've got adversity but then keep reading because the song of moses includes so much hope one of the things that it reveals he says i want you to sing of this god's favor covers you sing of it god's favor covers you verse 11 he compares the relationship god has with you like an eagle over her young it's really very powerful and and they he god uses many expressions and and analogies and pictures that they can relate to because the eagle is so grand he covers them see that analogy is this like an eagle with her young he covers them when they need protection but he'll stir the nest when they need to fly god will do both it really is a beautiful thing when you step back to recognize what he's trying to say he'll cover them and literally you know an eagle of course their their nests are perched very high and oftentimes in the direct sun but an eagle will literally cast his wings over the uh uh over the nest and and take the heat in behalf of the uh of the eaglet to give it that protection literally cover them with their wings but when it's time to fly he'll stir that she'll stir that nest it's time to fly psalm 91 verses 1 and 4 is such a beautiful picture he who dwells in the shelter of the most high will abide in the shadow of the almighty don't you love that verse right there to me it's one of the most powerfulest verses in the scriptures because it pictures for us this great promise he who dwells in the shelter of the most high will abide in the shadow of the almighty you see the call there come draw near draw stay abide in the shadow of the almighty like though you're wandering too far you're away from the lord you're wandering don't wander don't go far it says dwell in the shadow of the almighty he will cover you with his opinions that's an aspect of wings he will cover you with his pinions and under his wings you may seek refuge for his faithfulness is a shield and a bulwark now that being said the other aspect is also true the lord may stir up the nest because the lord knows when it's time to urge on to move you on to that which is greater and higher the eagles will build its nest high in the cliffs it keeps them safe it keeps them safe while they're young but they must learn to fly some years ago for our 25th anniversary we took a trip to alaska while we were there we got a tremendous view of eagles and nature of course is spectacular but we learned we had this person giving lessons and teaching right and so yeah we want to learn an eagle uh or a pair of eagles will mate for life start with that that's right there a great lesson they're made for life and then every year they just keep adding to their nests right and this is what we learned while while we were on this trip some nests can be more than 15 feet deep and 20 feet wide they just keep building onto it and he makes a comparison with the wave and the eagle and god's relationship to to to to you eagles teach their young to fly by stirring up the nest allowing them to stretch their wings and catch the air it's stirred into we're going to keep stirring this thing until you learn to to move as god wants you to move god wants greater things greater victories notice verse 13 he says he made him ride on high places set your life on higher places god wants you to live this life in a higher place in a greater way it's a picture of god allowing the troubles and the trials and your life he will use them to strengthen and increase your life for the purpose that he has for you see if you know that's true here's the thing if you know that's true that god can use the troubles and the difficulties he can use them to strengthen and to increase if you know that's true then you look for it and the troubles and the trials they come into a perspective i know that he orders my way and that he'll watch over my life and that god will show me the way through this god will show me the way through the wilderness and he'll use all of these troubles in my life i know he will that's faith imagine the fear of the young eagle trying to learn to fly but the fear turns to joy when he learns to soar in higher places those things that cause sorrow or pain are the very things that god can use to bring greater depth of faith and greater depth of faith brings a deep seated joy psalm 30 verse 11 to 12. you have turned for me he says you have turned for me my morning in the dancing there is a lot of grief in this life there's a lot of difficulty there's some mourning that you experience but you have turned for me my morning into dancing you have loosed my sackcloth cycloth is what one would put on if they were grieving of the loss of a loved one or something terrible you have loosed my sackcloth and you've girded me with gladness that my soul may sing praise to you and not be silent o lord my god i will give thanks to you forever then lastly this wait on the lord wait on the lord and gain new strength be patient be patient wait god will deliver god will help in time of need wait too many people they become impatient and they make a mistake don't make a mistake your impatience will drive you into a mistake don't be impatient wait god will do it he says those who wait for the lord will gain new strength faith increases when you wait with hope he will do it be patient don't make a mistake so excuse me isaiah chapter 40 verses 29 to 31 so i'm giving you some of my favorite scriptures here isaiah 40. it is he who gives strength to the weary and to him who lacks might he increases power the youths grow tired and weary and various young men stumble badly yet those who wait for the lord will gain new strengths they will mount up with wings like eagles they will run and not faint get tired they will walk and not faint what a powerful understanding what a powerful promise wait on the lord trust that god is able to work in your life that he is for you that he's with you psalm 127 epic psalm 127 verses 1 to 2 unless the lord builds the house they labor in vain who build it god is with you walk with him through this be patient let god show you his strength unless the lord builds the house they labor in vain who build it unless the lord guards the city the watchman keeps awake in vain it's vain for you to rise up early to retire late to eat the bread of painful labors for it is he who gives to his beloved even while he sleeps these are great promises wait wait on the lord let your heart take courage psalm 27 verse 14 wait for the lord be strong and let your heart take courage yes yes wait wait for the lord he'll do it you'll mount him with wings like eagles his favor over you is clear his banner over you is love never forget never forget what god has done he says it's a time of choosing it's time to choose how you're going to walk how you're going to walk in this life don't waste your life don't waste any part give god your heart your love and he will pour out to you the favor of god let's pray father thank you so much for showing us your heart your desire your spirit poured out your promises revealed and lord in this song we see so many promises but we also see a call it's time to choose time to choose how you're going to walk how you'll live your life church how many would you say tonight whether you're here at the sanctuary or in the fellowship hall or watching from home but how many tonight would say i choose you as for me and my house we will serve the lord ask for me and my we've made our choice we've made our mind we've set our heart as for me and my house we will serve the lord will you just raise your hand those at home just raise your heart god bless everyone who said yes to the lord god will do it god will walk with you through the course of this life honor him draw near to him dwell in the shadow of the almighty father thank you for everyone whose heart says yes drawn into a place of trust in nearness relationship god we thank you so much for pouring your life in your spirit revealing your heart to us now in jesus powerful name and everyone said amen and amen let's give the lord praise and honor amen amen church we're going to receive communion now so again those that are our home watching if you would go ahead and get the elements the bread and the cup i'm going to give you just a few moments the worship team is going to draw us in the presence of the lord now everyone that's in the room here and in the fellowship paul would you notice that now in this communion assembly that there's a little plastic cover and that will reveal to you the red and then the larger heavier cover when you peel that back will reveal then the cup so we're going to give a few moments that those that are home may go ahead and get the bread and the cup and we'll take we'll partake of communion together the worship team will lead us [Music] slow down take time [Music] breathe [Music] the thoughts in his mind [Music] always [Music] [Music] [Music] he's never failing he's never failing for i received from the lord thou which i delivered to you that the lord jesus and the night in which he was betrayed took bread and when he had given thanks he broke it and he said this is my body which is given unto you do this in remembrance of me first let's take the bread and recognize the truth of what he said this is the representation of the body of christ the righteous lamb of god given unto you he says as a remembrance it's a time to say to god you have done so much for me you sent your son to pay the price giving me hope and life and it's because of that son that i can partake of communion see it's a time to say thank you thank you god for all that you've done let's honor him and father thank you we do understand what an amazing gift you gave us when you sent your son to pay the penalty on the cross for every one of our sins we thank you the holy righteous lamb of god was given what a gift we thank you we honor you as we remember it now in jesus powerful name let's partake of the bread together in the same way he took the cup also after supper and he said this cup is the new covenant initiated in my blood do this as often as you drink it in remembrance of me for as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup you proclaim the lord's death until he comes and in that is the promise that he comes therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the lord in an unworthy manner shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the lord so let a man examine himself and let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup for he eats and drinks eats and drinks judgment he does not judge the body rightly let a man examine himself in other words the price was paid the blood was shed the payment made for the forgiveness of sin therefore let there be nothing that stands in the way of a full wondrous relationship to the living god examine is there anything that stands between you and god he's made provision he's made a way for that to be forgiven by the blood of jesus christ that which you hold in your hand represents it take the opportunity to become fully right with god let your heart be refreshed is there any business that needs to be done with the lord let's take a moment let's just take a moment need to say anything to the lord now is the time to say it we need to ask the forgiveness is made for that forgiveness that which this cup represents he wants you to have it i want you to have it i gave it to you i want you to have this forgiveness because i know that you need it so that your life can be right with god and you can draw near draw me or you're staying too far he says you're too far come nearer come near dwell in the shadow of the almighty let's take a moment just to do some business father thank you [Music] so direct our steps or order our way walk with us through this life to god we know that it begins with a relationship to you that's right and good and refreshed in every way so we thank you for the forgiveness that is made possible because of what this cup represents the blood poured out that day we remember and we thank you we give you praise we give you glory in jesus name and everyone said let's partake together of the coming jesus christ [Music] amen amen church isn't it good to be together in the presence of the living god let's all stand together would you mind putting your masks on if you would those in the fellowship hall would you put your mask on as well let's just stand and let's give god praise it's dwelling in the shadow of the almighty when you give him praise and worship from a heart that's right he dwells in the presence of his people let's give him praise and glory when we worship him let's draw near to the lord tonight god bless you look forward to seeing you soon [Music] and you who hold the stars who call the image by name we'll surely keep your promise to me that i'll rise in your victory you hold the stars [Music] to me [Music] [Music] he's [Music] is [Music] [Music] [Music] he's never failing always never
