what's up everybody blue gabe we're up on the kissimmee river on my airboat i got kelly young her mom her mom's boyfriend a cast net and some cameras and i've been daydreaming about this little pothole of water right here for a long time so we just put in about a mile away run the airboat all the way across and when i pulled up to this pond right here gators went everywhere but that's not what we're here for look at all these fish busting right here all of these fish are stuck in this little pothole and will soon be gator food but we want to know what they are never done a video like this i'm literally going to take my good cast net and throw it out here could be shad could be bluegills we don't know what it is but one thing for sure we're about to find out and you guys are gonna watch as i do it now there's probably i would safely say over a hundred alligators in this body of water right here i'm hoping that there's not gonna be one right here where i'm gonna throw my cast net i'm hoping we get some cool crazy fish that's what we're about to do right now i always put my cast net in my mouth i can't do it over my shoulder i put it in my mouth i load it just like this about half the net i hold it with my thumb and my finger finger you guys whatev whatever's about to happen is going to be insane i guarantee you you hear kelly say oh my gosh she's behind the camera hey here goes nothing oh my gosh you just spooked a gator over there let's see i feel stuff i don't know what i got though i hope you don't ruin your net what do you think i have no idea oh look a baby oh my oh god look at that i can't even pick the net up look at all the babies that is insane look at this come over here closer oh my gosh hold on you know what's crazy you want to know what's crazy is there's not a native fish in the net i guarantee you there let me see let me see let me see four 500 there's over 100 pounds of fish in here and not one of them belongs in this water system look at that one is that an eel before we turn them loose look at that armored catfish on top of armored catfish walking catfish tilapia there's not a single chant there's not a single channel cat nothing look at this this is why all these gators are in here here's one single native war mouth look at that that's the only one i see here's a tilapia that's non-native we've got all these armored catfish which destroy our water systems because they burrow into the sides of the banks there goes a walking catfish oh that's what i saw look at him watch him walk that's why they call that a walking catfish holy cow this is this is the most devastating one of all of them this is that cute little fish that you see in people's fish tanks that eventually got turned loose because it got too big or something like that into our waterways and now is causing millions and millions of dollars of destruction that's an armored catfish a a pasta bis or pleco whatever you want to call them i actually did a catch clean and cook on those in my channel i wonder kelly if we put all these things right here on the bank and move the boat if these gators will come up and eat them now i know some of y'all are wondering why i'm not putting these fish all back in the waterway right now they're all non-native they're all terrible for our environment i'm gonna pick through here real quick and see exactly what all we got look at this my net's probably destroyed but that's okay look at that you guys wonder what turning exotic fish out of your fish tank do look at this that is insane and that was one little section right here look at that gosh kelly get on the airboat we're gonna crank up and move and we're gonna see if they come up and eat there's not one single native fish here on the bank all non-natives i've got a plan if this works it's going to be epic let's get on the boat all right i got the boat cranked we're going to just move over there 100 yards away and see if these gators will come up and start eating [Music] [Music] right here all right you guys so i think our plan is going to work we just moved over here we're about 100 yards from that little body of water and what a lot of people don't realize is an alligator has an extremely good nose he can smell from a very long ways i know that from studying them and i know that from hunting them i'm a gator hunter at heart that's what i grew up doing if you get up wind from an alligator he will smell you every single time so we moved right over here we're going to get quiet for a second i'm going to get on the other side of the boat and duck down and we're gonna see if they will start going up there and feeding on these catfish all right you guys it's working right now we have a smaller gator like eight foot long and he's nosing up to him all the catfish are sort of trickling down to the water and if there weren't gators there most of those little walking catfish armored catfish plecos would all end up back in the water you know why because they breathe air they don't need water to survive like all of our native fish do holy cow dude there's a freaking like 11 footer coming oh ho lee macro look at the size of that gator see how he turns his head up on its side like that that was like national geographic stuff right there you guys i had high expectations from this video because i i had a feeling that my plan was going to work i never knew it would work this good kelly just slipped right up to the bank she's only 20 yards from the water 20 yards from a body of water that has over a hundred alligators in it her mom and her mom's boyfriend's just behind her look at these alligators holy cow dude that is insane i tell you what though i've only thrown the net one time let's crank this boat up the gators have actually backed off and it's weird because only two of them really fed on those catfish the rest just got up on the bank and we're getting sun again it is a little bit cooler alligators are cold-blooded creatures which means they need the sun to survive so when the sun's out and it's not extremely hot they will be on the bank basking in the sun warming their bodies so now let's pull back over there and throw the net one more time and i'm really gonna dig in and show you guys the looks of these fish what they are in the names of them let's go you want to know what's the most crazy thing is these fish have been out of the water now for 30 minutes gators have been feeding on them and look they're still alive look at that these fish is cute and as bubbly as they are in your fish tank are devastating to florida's native waterways and to our native species of fish they overpower everything and they multiply by the millions all these fish right here were from one cast net throw i say we throw the cast net again and just see how many we can catch in the same exact spot just 30 minutes after i threw here i think it will be just as many or more look at this fish right here this is probably one of the most unique fish out of all of these this is what we call a walking catfish you see his side fins he will grab them and actually start walking these fish can literally walk miles these are what were called armored catfish and i know that there's guys that come up here and catch them commercially and take them to new york and sell them but they are 100 percent non-native and terrible but fortunately guys i was just filming down there and there's a couple hundred giant white pelicans there's spoon bills there's big ibis there's pond birds wading birds by the thousands that will all be thanking me as soon as we leave let's throw the net look at all of these little fish flipping there's thousands and probably millions of them but right now i'm getting heck away from this water because i don't want to get eight hopefully i didn't get an alligator i feel a lot of stuff moving maybe i got a gator this time i don't know let's hope not [Music] [Music] look at that dude we have a serious issue in our waterways in florida with non-native species now it's like a minefield it's crazy because i was expecting them to get hung up a lot worse than that than they are ow look at that nothing in there belongs in these waterways not one of them so once again we've got walking catfish little cute baby plecos that are devastating everything hard-bodied armored catfish they don't burrow the armored catfish burrow these don't really burrow but these multiply by the kozilians and they take over an ecosystem and eat all the good nutrient stuff that the other fish including grass shrimp thrive on so they're bad and that's really it we have a couple different species of those just tons and tons of bad fish i thought maybe i'd catch a crawfish something absolutely nothing that's so crazy you guys if you have freshwater fish tanks and you have a fish that's too big unfortunately you need to kill it because when you turn it loose in our waterways this is what happens all right you guys this was a unique video we're here for kelly who's behind the camera to do a snipe hunting video we got rob and her mom behind us we're going to take them snipe hunting for their first time as well if you don't know what a snipe is go to my last snipe video it's like four videos down and watch it and then watch kelly's when she up uploads it because it's going to be a good one too but right now we're ending this video we're going to deal with all these fish put them in a spot where nobody can step on them and get the heck out of shape like jake always says see y'all [Music] so [Music] [Music] that's all folks [Music] you
