CAPE TOWN is the MOST BEAUTIFUL CITY, South Africa Travel Vlog 2023, solo female travel

the miracle continues how many flights can you take until your luggage gets lost or [Music] damaged long time no flight I'm at the airport in Johannesburg and today we're going to Cape Town it's raining like crazy right now this was the first airport where couldn't use the Wi-Fi or where you needed like a phone number to use the Wi-Fi so I had to run around and find somebody who gave me her his phone number basically hi guys my name is Tina and I'm traveling around the world and in the last 3 months I have been to 10 countries and we are now in South Africa it's supposed to be like a 2our something flight so thank you we arrived in Cape Town yay best moment after every [Music] flight musing bold now because Uber is still not working no no worries thank [Music] you sorry a big do he's very friendly hi I need to take a shower I really like the landscape outside like when we drove here I saw the mountains and all it's so beautiful and this place is amazing and really big and they have a dog um yeah it's going to be great hey and good morning everyone it's my second full day here in Cape Town I arrived in the middle of the night basically and I thought I I quickly show you guys the Airbnb so this is my room got a little table here and I got another table there and this door leads out to the [Music] backyard hello hey guys so I just left my Airbnb today the first day where we're going to explore Cape Town when I looked up Cape Town online first thing I found this video that is called capton is the best city in the world so I got already like a bus card it's called like my city card and then I learned that there is another bus a red one you can get the tickets online and you buy a ticket for one day and then for this whole day you can take these buses so our first stop is an area that is called bab and there's supposed to be a museum somewhere I couldn't find the entrance I wanted to see the streets here and the houses it's popular because of the colorful houses here popular among photographers instagrammers the the houses in Bap are so colorful is said to be an expression of Freedom while on Le the houses had to be white when this rule was eventually lifted and their owners were allowed to buy the properties they painted all the houses in different colors I think it's a nice area to take photos and just take a walk and they also have some shops and cafes I found a cool place on Google Maps that I want to try out for breakfast it's called honest chocolate cafe and you know that I love [Music] chocolate forgot to do my hair today in the morning anyhow I got a cheesecake a chocolate cheesecake I got a brownie for takeaway I saw this in the video that I mentioned this guy was always buying Brownies so I kind of felt that I had to check how good they are it's by the way cheesecake Armond chocolate cake and it's a rich very rich chocolate flavor okay yeah that was a very nice coffee break rather coffee break than really a breakfast but uh I'm on my way to the VA Waterfront I decided to walk because I haven't been really walking in a while if you prefer to get there faster I would recommend to get a car oh okay yeah I arrived at the waterfront and I don't see that much water so far but I'm also on on the side where the shopping center is because I wanted to take a look at a shopping center and noticed a couple of things like some of my bags that I'm using are broken and here's an aquarium as well the VA Waterfront there are a lot of shopping and entertainment opportunities VA stands for Victorian Alfred and it's name after Queen Victorian Prince Alfred and Prince Alfred is the one who ordered the construction of a new Harbor it's quite a big area so you can spend quite a bit of time here Cape Town Harbor is the oldest working Harbor in South Africa you can relax at the waterfront join a boat tour or insert month do whale watching I got nearly everything that I wanted to buy castle Yeah Yeah Castle right thank you so much so that worked my driver just dropped me off here in front of the castle the castle of Good Hope Wikipedia told me that this is the most well preserved 17th century architectural structure worldwide that's a thing they just told me that today and tomorrow there's a jazz festival and so people who want to see the castle cannot go in Merry [Music] Christmas let's see if we have more luck with this Museum here district 6 became one of the main Urban targets for Destruction under apartheid as it was a community representative of diversity on a number of different levels it was a cute Museum I'm just contemplating if it was expensive or not but I'm really confused about the prices nowadays can't keep track anymore really this place is amazing I got an avocado [Music] toast I mean the food was good and everyone was nice but I was sitting there maybe for 20 minutes they were asking me like four times if I'm finished eating the fun fact about this Garden is that it's the oldest Garden in South Africa which I think is is a thing it's another beautiful day here in Cape Town and today I'm going to go to the beach when you come to Cape Town you have to leave Cape Town in order to really appreciate its beauty let me show you what I mean oh my gosh guys look at this VI if you come to Cape Town you have to go a little bit outside of the city to have these amazing fuse I made a big mistake like the place where you cannot go swimming is sea point this is Cam's Bay mixed up these two places oh my God but it's beautiful Cam's Bay is a popular spot for Sunset watching dolphin sightings or whale watching it is incredibly windy here I think that's behind me everything in this area here is Camp's Bay and then on the side there's maen car stunning view over the Atlantic Ocean and then you have Table Mountain in the back and which I think is rare like you have the mountains and the ocean I mentioned before that I got a card for the my city bus now I'm really happy that I did that and not like the Red Bus the Red Bus is really for tourists and it's very touristy um you can of course also take like an Uber or a car in any way [Music] I got somewhere off the bus at C point right across the street there is ice cream place that I wanted to try but I'm not feeling like eating ice cream right now wanted to come to this place because I thought it's actually like a market like you know one of those Sunday markets or whatever but it's actually more like a like a food cord maybe M Market is a lifestyle Market in SE point with free life music food retail shops and bars it houses 30 different food Outlets I got a cheese wrap there is way more in this wrap than just cheese but saw a picture and I was like what's this the place itself was kind of bit like Korean they have a lot of like they have sushi they have like Poke Balls Asian inspired food like this orange sauce here this is very spicy but wrap really [Music] good I'm actually so full after my lunch but I really wanted to get an ice cream and I got strawberry and toona like this one chocolate bar that [Music] [Applause] you I'm sitting here at SEO and I have the best view ever now I remembered if you're coming here here is a pool so you can swim here it's a bit crowded anyway but today is like a Saturday I think it could be [Music] worse I just got off the bus at Somerset Hospital and I'm again close to the VA Waterfront but today we're going to a different place which is actually a farm market as one of Cape Town's most popular farm markets it offers fresh produced foods and handmade crafts from local vendors it focuses on sustainability and Community it's like so crowded there is like literally no space to walk I I hated the music that were're playing I [Music] mean hey everyone so it's the next day and I'm today on my way to a place called Fran was that right yes and it's a place that I would not have been expected to go to here in Cape Town but I'm very excited fuk which literally means French's corner is a small town in Western Cape and one of South Africa's oldest towns so here's our first stop we just arrived at a it's a v Vineyard it's beautiful it's amazing our first stop on this tour was a Vineyard as F and its surrounding areas is famous for its wine the tour company that I use is specialized in wine tours in this area they will be able to tell you a lot more about fruk and its surrounding areas seven years on the [Music] leaf think I've never done wine tasting before but it was very interesting they their wine here organically and the company I'm doing this with is called Four Seasons I'm going to put the link in the description box below FR which located about 75 km from Cape Town which is about a 45-minute drive with car we are taking a quick stop here at this prison this is a prison this was the last prison where Nelson Mandela was [Music] in okay guys we're going to get some I would say brunch [Music] here I got an X Benedict and an orange juice it's amazing place like it looks really good and let's try the [Music] food guys look at this view oh it's so amazing got everywhere around us we got those mountains it's windy here so we were just driving through Frank and uh up this hill mountain and look at this view oh God franer was mentioned in Time Magazine as one of the top 50 places in the world to visit we're going to take a look at the shopping street and see what they got here what I really like about Cape Town but also front trick is that there are a lot of artists art galleries and shops selling art me I feel while I was contemplating if I should go to either Table Mountain while I'm here or to Boulders Beach as I'm on a budget I'm usually not doing everything I mean Table Mountain is impressive and the few that you got from up there is really impressive you know at Boulders Beach they got penguins for the today's trip I decided to take an Uber an Uber ride has cost you at least 15 plus Euro even more 20 30 I don't know hey it's super windy here and crazy hot so my driver dropped me off here somewhere and I'm trying to find the entrance it doesn't really look like it but there are signs oh yeah can I get a ticket here oh no oh my God it's so windy can you see that but the few is always amazing like Boulders Beach is one of Cape Town's most visited beaches and the only place in the world where you can get close to African penguins if you've seen Penguins before this probably not new for you but they're not really moving a lot aren't they um for me I think it's the first time that I've seen penguines up close here something oh my gosh wow it was really nice it was a little bit different from what I did so far on my trip what you can also do is walk along the coast they have this nice walkway [Music] here I got a sandwich here I just learned that the whole area has no water at the moment went and see the penguins that told me I can't use the toilet because there's no water but they didn't really tell me why which reminds me of something that I heard online that sometimes in South Africa there's something that's called load shedding turn off the electricity in certain areas in Cape Town to save electricity and it hasn't affected my Airbnb yet which is why I forgot to talk about [Music] it hey guys thanks so much for watching don't forget to subscribe if you want to
