Can You Play Subnautica If The Map Is UPSIDE DOWN?

guys you might have seen this game broken before but you have not seen the game broken before like this hello my friends and welcome back to the cursed world of subnautica now in the interest of figuring out just how much we can break this game and still play it i was talking to lee23 the other day you know the guy who also made a lot of the other amazing mods for subnautica and who is a part of the return of the ancient mods team and now you got a few crazy ideas what we're gonna be doing today is flipping the game on its head literally with the mod mirror world now as you can see in the options this one gives you the option to mirror or flip the world around one of the three axes that's built in as well as choose the depth at which the map should essentially be if most of that sounds like mumbo jumbo dude that's totally fine let's just jump in and let me show you what this is all about alright a bit i mean this is something so i'm i'm walking actually 2000 meters underwater on the bottom side of my lifeboat it's just another day in modded subnautica isn't it what has pretty much happened here as you can probably tell the entire map has been flipped upside down including the life pod which is not moving now can we get in oh that is trippy something tells me that he was not meant to handle that in terms of animations but hey it works oh my god right so don't pay attention to the bottomless void underneath me i don't quite remember if i left the gargantuan installed or not i reckon we're gonna find out soon but this is so freaking cursed if i look like this it looks like i'm playing the game just normal but then i do that and it freaks me all the way out oh yeah no okay it seems that the fish orientation is actually to the world itself that is just so strange okay so i teleported to the koosh biome and of course that placed me above the map that's not ideal look guys there's the aurora down there are ghosts going to spawn i have no i mean i guess so or am i going to teleport this is so freaking confusing okay well i found the water surface but wait what's that oh no it's altera they finally come to collect all my debt for all those base parts i really ever look at from this angle oh look at that now we're approaching this from the bottom it looks like a a very strange version of the floating island maybe it's like these are the weird floaters oh man i have to see the floating island now all right whoa now that is is very different isn't it well let's look at the bottom or the top i guess first man you guys remember that purlin void mod i mean this looks exactly like that the rocks which are supposed to be falling down are falling up instead or well i guess they are falling down but this is so strange isn't it okay now i'm swimming down or or up through the island look at all this upside down broccoli that's strange what if i spawn a vehicle you know all vehicles kind of respect the rotation i want to see some of the deep biomes to see if you'd even be able to tell the difference you know besides being on the ceiling i suppose and here we are this is very strange first of all i have to say the ceiling off the lost river it looks like a completely unique biome i don't think i've ever paid that much attention to all these like caves and grooves but not that i'm here i mean you can tell that it has the lost river aesthetic it looks like a place we've never been to there's something very um very cursed about exploring the world this way for sure i also keep getting absolutely lost i find it's so difficult to navigate where you're supposed to go and also to figure out like if you're going up or down because technically the deeper quote unquote biomes are actually more shallow right now they're less deep than the shallower parts don't know what i just said this is so cool you know theoretically this should be completely playable i don't see any reason why you couldn't complete the game this way now okay the rocket might be complicated that's very very cool looks so strange a lot of these things you never see from this angle so it just looks uh weird this is different it actually kind of works these almost look like just like cooled magma that's been dripping from the uh from the ceiling that is very very cool look at the smoke very freaky this almost looks like the floating island by like strange look now before we wrap up here i just want to show you one last thing if you set the shallow's depth to zero you'll get something very very cool uh yep this is the entire map of subnautica upside down just outside of the water level look at that now guys you might have seen this game broken before but you have not seen the game broken before like this oh look even the aurora is upside down like completely upside down whoa look at that that looks so freaky this obviously the map is deeper here again quote unquote it's technically it's higher up this is just something else this may be one of the weirdest things i've done to subnautica yet and we've done weird things to this freaking game it looks like a completely different game here i mean you would probably have a hard time without the floaters pinpointing where we even are it's like no man's sky out here i really like it though now granted i don't think the game is completable this way of course but look at that oh whoa okay that's the gun upside down that right there is just strange enough to the point where i think we should just be ending this video the floating islands actually floating upside down guys i think we've done it i mean again we pushed the limit in yet another video on just how badly this game can be broken and still played granted not without water i think with the full water submersion upside
