Can Am X3 vs. Defender on TRACKS! (Utah Mountain SXS Adventure)

we going to do today put all our eggs in the same track basket that's a good one put our eggs in the same track dude we're here for adventure so uh yeah this is uh day three for us here now at Beaver Creek Lodge just a beautiful establishment in the most place maybe in the world absolutely great experience out here we've been runting sleds uh and today we're going to take these side by sides out on tracks which are also rental units yeah they've got it hooked up here everything you need is right here if you want to have a great time it's right here we're going to have a great time out there our plan today is to take a Maverick X3 and conquer the world dude conquer the mountains we're going to the top of the Rockies and these things now if you come out here for yourself and you run a side by side on tracks what we're going to do today is probably not what you should do what you're going to want to do but you know we'll see what happens we're just going to see if it's achievable you know which is going to be you can achieve anything if you just if you just try and you bring Justin anything is possible yeah I don't know how I got thrown at that okay uh so we got these two we're loading up uh couple gentlemen out here are going on snows to guide us into the Wilderness and uh we're going to see if we survive but it's going to be a good day regardless Rockies dude we're here we're there it's there we're here [Music] I want to do it what EX exactly what we doing right now bud just driving around in tracks man know I feel like I'm just driving a tank yeah it feels like it I'm warm I'm happy I'm having a good time like this is perfect yeah I'm just out here driving around dude I can't hear a word you're stand what not even anything jbo what he said I am setting everyone up the eariler can't get your numbers ready are you guys uh ready to go and blue b yeah we're waiting for Steve to radio say he's ready yeah make sure he's on the right channel uh we're all on the things already slow be careful the glasses crack it's broken slow all right so we've been out on a little Trail Cruise here just absolutely beautiful checking out the rocket with the fresh snow a little slower face gorgeous but uh we found a little nice off Trail section here on our way to lunch so Mikey's going to take this X3 out just run around a little bit get a feel for it see how he does I think this will tell us how the day is going to go yeah exactly whether it's going to be great or horrible test her out just a little bit go eat some lunch and if it looks good then we just we hit her hard send her into the boonies mm that sucker does look cool a monster of a machine I mean that was pretty dang good yeah that was nothing it held RPM all the way up didn't really look like it decent momentum all the way up see what it's like in a downhill yep now he's coming down a little steeper part of the Hill mik Mike I can't find brakes M all right we're got catching a little speed there okay hang onys mik also fun fact the brakes ice up really quickly seems like maybe that's what happened there man that thing was cool it looks awesome coming at you what a beast H than I thought it's throwing so much snow all right see what these guys are doing now lining up the big hill well line up better go up I'm trying line up we not going up the hill little chiling back here close the door let me assess zoom out here just to give you an idea it's a pretty sizable Hill and that's got a lot of snow on it oh yeah a little bit fresher powder or steeper oh it oh bu it no no oh [Music] no oh I think it would have went I I think so it it looked like it was still trying to dig but he probably didn't want to completely bury it yeah yeah which is maybe smart but all right hit number two we got a little more momentum hopefully they're in their old tracks oh Jesus got it Mike do it m oh boy oh boy stay in it stay in it stay in it got it yeah got it you got it I really don't want to have the big scary hill again but we do it looks like he's taking the same line down yeah Mike Michael M that's a big hill you see yeah actually tough to see scale through video I get it but it's big look at that unit oh hey good rip boys what' you think of that visibility low I don't know if it looked cool if it was super lame but in here it was so fun it looked cool it looked cool that's a big hill that is it big hill coming down that other Hill is just terrifying it turns out yeah that's some deep steep did the brakes freeze up on you that one time cuz it looks like you came down the hill at about 80 M hour I mean he just chose it he just chose the rip Mike Mike Mike Mike I respect it oh TR give his girl just a second to C you know calm down you know yeah let's go get some lunch you ready for some lunch my man I'm ready get out of this car all right we're officially in the back country this is where things could get a little bit spicy the X3 is pretty proven at this point it's on back country tracks Got Deep lugs on it the old Defender is not also definitely head here and uh it's the first time we've really had her off the trail so we're just going to cross our fingers it's already a bit of a challenge but we're still moving so wish us luck Bo this is definitely giving me uh like 2019 winter orientering Vibes but we almost died the Wilderness of the upper peninsul of Michigan and had to sleep Outdoors attive 30° weather cuz all of our stuff broke it was a bad time ually we don't repeat that today but well judging by our fuel level we might end up doing that today you know you really can't trust these fuel gauges okay sure we've heard that from DG before meted up stranded on the highway deal we're going to stop back here and get a run at this mother we're going to make sure that they make it yeah let them clear the hill I mean they're going up at a high rate of speed oh yeah doing great up there oh maybe not so great boys O Come on Defender we're on the wood come on oh oh wow there's almost not a chance hell we're going up oh no she'll Chu right up all right man and we won't run out of gas either come on baby she's chugging come on baby come on baby all right maybe low listen we're going to take around low cuz we were losing too much track speed there oh yeah all the RPS basically going the same speed oh we got 13 mph track speed she's ripping come to make more power in Reverse it just not make more power in Reverse big run up got the tracks packed a few more times uh we'll see you guys in a minute when we actually get to the hill yeah check we're going to put it low and creep up it I think that's going to work I honestly think it's going to fly right up it yeah now that I'm looking at it with it sitting here if nobody cares I'm just going to go do that right now I think we're good now that looks like okay apparently this hill is way more packed than the other one so we're going to check it out see if the X3 can do it it is a solid climb though doing [Music] great man is it slowing down no I think it's good all right there she is I think he's going to make that run a few times hopefully pack it down for the defender all right we're here with the defender we're at the big boy climb I was late getting the camera out you caught it X3 has already made the sucker it was slow but it did it did it fine just slow but steady and I you know it's always tough to get a scale of a hill on video but standing here at the bottom of this I'm saying this Snow Hill is as tall as China Wall it's a big hill yeah it's big hill big hill it's a long climb up deep snow so pretty impressive strategy here boys in the exterior going to go up and down pack the lane and the old Defender is going to give her a run see if we can do it I'll be honest with you confidence extraordinarily low very low try anyways still got to try confidence is high bro confidence is high he's right he's right we're sorry it's totally fine he says confidence is high but there's a reason he's waited this long to try it listen he literally just told me he literally just told me his confidence was low 45 seconds ago that thing looks what a beast didn't hear anything like a belt go so I ideally they just got out of the throttle that might have been high range yeah might have might got to go back to low yeah we're good we're good they're moving yall ready we're h i I guess we're hitting this bounty Hill and we're not hitting the line that those guys hit X3 we're going fresh line here we go we're making our own way all the speed let's go come on Defender Max effort just [Music] not I mean it's creeping I don't know if I have enough battery for this going to be the long oh no try it one more time there's what we got stuck last time maybe a little less than halfway up we'll see if we can high mark it okay okay okay okay going oh my dude that's pretty good like feel like we got a bit of a better run here we got a bit of a better run here yeah we're definitely moving faster oh boy heck yeah heck yeah guy going on we are still moving you shouldn't have said it I was trying my best to push you did good great effort you are almost there though I know like you are at the hump I think if You' have stayed out of his track you'd have been good I think you need to take the middle line I agree it was a last ditch thing and it did not work out as soon as we stuck in there we were done so I think you have to stay on that hard pack and out of people's track regardless of one more time one more time one more time never one more time just another time just another time one more time always breaks one more time it's all the time after that too all we're going for it all right we got a little less gas this time a little lighter no problem he coming down the hill where it's going yeah try to this yeah right there this all the way up stay for us yep H Cur okay 11 mph that's good oh this sucker's cruising she is chooching she is on the Cho [Applause] train come on I don't know that's uphill I don't think it works then is just barely creeping oh boy try to not make D that was a solad effort just ain't quite got her gentlemen we've reached a point all right here's the deal we've been out here in the back country we're trying to make this hill this is our Bounty Hill of the day x3's Ben up it we tried about six times with the defender gotten really close basically refused to leave here without that Defender going up this hill so we're fixing to force it up the hill we got the old yank rope out we're going to hit the front of it and we're going to daisy chain our way all the way to Victory going to be a pce c yep you guys see that Peak we're going there that's where we're going to be that's 900t up 900 ft 1,00 ft climb let's do it 3,000 ft it's crazy guys ready let's do this let's do it we're ready with you Mikey here you get what you're ready oh the ROP slack the ROP SL I see it oh boy that's a rough start but I think we got it yeah Justin's taking a nap up there now yeah I think just full Giver dude out the wood back go faster Mike okay oh come on X3 I can't get out I can't get out of it I got to stay in it when that happens don't like to give her more gas I think he's on the wood still climbing though still at that 8 milph we got to miss this hole this bad hole oh no oh drift right drift right no oh he's [Music] done that's [Music] it yeah Houston this is 104 uh failure over yeah update from uh Houston we did not make the climb also not going to you guys we are out of field uh this is Houston uh out for out of fuel uh yeah Justin can you grab the fuel over out of fuel over Houston L you want me you uh snatch yall off of this here Hill yeah I why you go ahead and give me a tug on my snatch ready yeah big go holes y them rope to the rescue just absolutely killing it now hopefully we can avoid a collision on the way down yeah trucker ruppy ducky we made it to the bottom over time to refuel there all right unfortunately boys and girls the only things to actually make the hill snow bills make the hill X3 on really aggressive tracks makes the hill unfortunately our Defender girl over here just didn't have all we needed so which is tough Bill to swallow was super fun though honestly both of these things in my opinion overachieved we got way further out here climbed way bigger Stu than I would have uh expected based on our relatively poor experiences in the past with track vehicles so if you guys want to come out here and do this you should go to Beaver freak Lodge and rent these suckers and rip I'll tell you what though snowmobiles don't discard those suckers proba that you need to have those the real absolutely the real treat for now as Mike would say the sun's going down and we're almost out of gas she might even be gone you'd say at this point but Storm's a bruin storm is actually a Bru it's com ass one com think it's time to maybe go back warm up get cleaned up and uh Place some Uno yeah they got aggressive last night like 2 hours in one game all right thank you guys so much seriously for everything you do this is an adventure that I've been trying to go on basically my whole life I started snowmobile when I was very young always wanted to go to the snow to the mountains of snowmobile have never been able to do it so you know this is new experience for a lot of us minus Justin's done it once but yeah let's talk about this freak of nature again over here this guy want my ass you know I kind of did hold out on you guys and didn't tell you something about my first S mobile I ever had it was a lynx yeah and that's why me and the lynx were one it was a 1980 articat lyx 295 yes it did 45 mph about 35 if I had my brother behind me on the tube J Justin is a sandbagger if I've ever seen I was great out here so yeah seriously thank you guys we're not done yet on this trip we got another ride day coming tomorrow morning more action so thank you
