In this tutorial I'll show you how to create a shake transition in Premiere preview let's get to it so here we are in Premiere I've got two videos on the timeline and in order to create the transition first we need to create an adjustment layer so come to the project panel click on the new item icon and select the adjustment layer make sure you match the sequence settings of yours click ok then drag and drop it onto the timeline one track above the videos now I'm going to trim the adjustment layer down to a desired length so it is easy to work with first I'm going to come to the point of the cut and move 10 frames to the left one two then bring the start of the adjustment layer here then go back to the point of the cut and move 10 frames to the right this time two and bring the end of the adjustment layer here so now we've made the adjustment to be 20 frames in length and we can start applying effects let's open effects panel and the first one is transform search for it and add it to the adjustment layer now head over to the effect controls panel and here under the transform settings we're going to create keyframes first let's come to the start of the adjustment layer and then create keyframes for position by clicking the stopwatch for the position and the scale now let's move one frame forward and set scale to be 125 and that's done in order to get rid of any black bars or black spaces showing through the video because we will be moving it a lot now we're going to move forward few frames at a time and randomly adjust the position value so I'm going to go two frames forward so that would be total of three frames from the initial position keyframe and then I'm going to randomly adjust the position so maybe focus on the top left corner of the video so I'm going to bring this up and something like that then let's move three frames forward one two three and now let's say focus on the bottom right corner for example so bring this down and move it over you don't have to copy me exactly just feel free to experiment with the value so again I'm going to move three frames forward maybe move this to the left and slightly up and here you get the idea and once you reach the end of the adjustment layer and while you are at the end of it make sure you reset the values for position by clicking on this reset parameter icon and also for the scale reset then move one frame back and set scale to be 125 and after you created the keyframes if we preview this we should have a video that is moving around a lot and one thing it's missing is the motion blur we can add it directly via the transform effect so in the shutter angle if we set this to say 180 this will give us a decent amount of motion blur you can set it to a higher value if you want more motion blur but I think a 180 looks fine here so this is what the motion blur applied and now I'm going to spice this up by adding an RGB splitting effect on top of the transition so come back to the effects panel search for VR digital glitch drag and drop it to the adjustment layer scroll down to the VR digital glitch settings open distortion and set everything to be 0 here so decrease everything of the adjustment layer and create a keyframe for color distortion at zero percent or at zero move to the point that the cut increase the color distortion to a maximum that's a hundred then go to the end of the adjustment layer and set it back to zero so now if you preview this we should have a nice RGB splitting effect on top of the shake transition so let's do that again and that is how you create a nice shake transition in Premiere Pro I hope you enjoyed and learned something new thanks for watching see you next one peace out
