[Music] [Applause] [Music] sciatica is coconut there's heaps of day trips to do it's really it's about ten minutes out of town it's very centrally located to go and explore north and south today we're heading to a place we've never been before it's called josephine falls it's about sixty case south of Cairns coconut and there's also another little place on the way which I'll show you on the way back here it's come for bender boulders but we've since been there before there's a very Care Bear took us about an hour to get here easy draw bottle haul I turn off about Aden I've six or seven minutes off the highway into the car park and then it's a 700 meter walk yeah and it's even um well check it so bitumen footpath beautiful so like through the rainforest and that I kind of feel like we told you we have meaning but can't feel over again no we have but I think a lot of these swimming holes and that would feel the same anyway when you're walking into them so we'll get to any here and see if we have no art all right it's gonna be nice I mean oh look at this hi can we get your own water slide over in the corner into this pool that is just for a HC [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] here to check out when you get to the top of the waterslide come and look at the waterfall holy look at this slight little sandy spots for the kids little Rapids and then down the waterslide up and down on the rock slide pop Charlie was a bit bit funny about it I think the bumps heard it on the way down the slide and if you were to I think I got back screaming like a Wally Oh headin down as well so that was pretty funny but Jack woulda stayed there all day you better just stay there right out up and down that slide what a temper is wicked we're here in October though so remember that any earlier in the year the waters probably with bloody fresh but what do you reckon it was how many times do you get in a slide bill how many times you yes I Jack it was so cool so anyway might be a pity to judge spoonfuls the bhindi used to be in my tomorrow why probably number one really good tip he's gay because the tool boxes come that's why we lady just had to two of us buses rock up I'll probably close to lunchtime yeah sorry there's really not enough room down there for any more than 15 20 people you know the rocks start to get a bit busy so that's us throughout here but start had such a good time josephine falls [Music] so we have just pulled up at a little free camp south of Cairns it's called forbidden boulders so the campground is good it's not very big so what are we got if we fit 15 or so vans in if you're nice at the time but it's only a two minute walk if that down to the boulders which is a beautiful spot for swim very scenic great spot for photos are there's a toilet block at the campground and also beans as well but clean up after yourself otherwise places like this will get shut and then ever I'll have a winch or because the minority can't look after their own bloody mess [Music] all righty so today we're gonna head out of cans again it's only twenty two K's we're going from cans coconut but first stop will show you the best coffee that we found it's the Newell Street Cafe it's called tattooed sailor coffee roasters says back in there grabbing a coffee it's only like five or six minutes so hang on a second she's ringing me it's in Cyprus hello yes please anyway after we get our coffee we're gonna head out to a place called the crystal cascades and another little place it's either called fairy Falls or fairy pool and you just have to go searching for that one it's a bit of a I don't know if it's a secret or you know it's just not well signposted and not many people go there but only about half a re out of tier from where we're staying and we'll go and show you that it's going to be good last somewhere in there I think kids loved it so what do you reckon okay hopefully there's some more slides and rocks and swimming holes eh well there is we know there is but the weather well as you can in tropical North Queensland you can look around it's like starting to get a bit muggy a bit hot and over storm clouds and stuff rolling in so anyway I don't know how long we're gonna get some look good weather for anymore it is the end of October so let's get into that season where we can pretty much copy right next up crystal cascades so here's the walk to crystal cascades it's all paved all the way up by Tom what do we just find out decays to get the actual waterfall it's pretty hard you're not keen on walk in the hole 1.2 guys but are we gonna take about half an hour about 270 meters up the track look for these little shoots like this and it takes you down to these little swimming Isles and waterfalls and literally you've probably been walking like two or three minutes from the car park so I reckon got kids and you like to enjoy it like ass don't push it too hard just swing through here look at this not this [Music] I've been Jason mountains are cake [Music] [Applause] all right that's crystal cascades we're gonna roll out of here now we were going to show you fairy pool fairy falls but we hit some others coming out there reckon there's about ten armors in there end up it's only seriously there's only enough room for two people to jump in so when you're gonna come back early one morning and go on his ciri pool huh but if we don't I'll just show you some videos of footage of our style it's a bloody Ripper spot [Music] oh here we go we're on the sky route okay this one takes you up it's be partly on the star oh it's nice but this one will take out to the top range to a place called Carina now you can do train on the way up we did last time we can do the kuranda trail take you up and the sky route there or you can do the sky rail up and the Train down today we're just going to do the sky route up and back we're going to get off at a few stops do the Ranger walk check out the lookout and then we're going to float around up and just check it out look at this look at this view so how long did she sat Tikes mighty to the top Oh an hour to an animal like other time you get on the stop off do your range of all can you look out and stuff so I'll let you know yeah should I spend at least half-day full-day plan to hang around look it is a week at you look at this so pretty cool once you get up to Carender it's just got all these walkways every I'm sorry if I've got this little lamp on me shoulders because she doesn't want to walk it's really nice it's an easy walk if you don't have a key on your shoulders it's a pub on the corner that we just spotted in if we didn't have kids are this humming that'll be us for the babies but we're gonna yell find an ice cream store in a park or somewhere for the kids to hang yet um and we'll get a feed as well why would you get bill did you get it what happened the ramen rising boss [Music] hi guys welcome back to another episode this one's gonna be 48 hours in the Daintree here we are we've just come across the ferry rocked up into the Daintree rainforest and we've got a couple of cool days to show you I had no one to rely on driving around in a passenger den dreaming when I'd ever begin to start my but when I move to this to be on the stage but the curtain enclosed you walk to you and that's when I knew check this out this is Princeton Beatrice is unpaired right so if you want power there all the way along the main road section which kids are screaming even though it's not that busy it's still on the road you come down to the unpowered section and you literally back straight on to the grass to the beach I'll take you through here it's like 45 sites or something I'll mate said ah and there's only about four people here so we are here in the start of November and it is pristine Hey look at this what is a bit dirty could it's been a bit windy offshore but 45 seconds and I walk straight out onto this beach from the caravan hahaha ah I love it yes there's even I'll give you the info if you go left when you hit the water you go into I think it's called Graham River National Park if you go down that way there is a boat ramp and stuff there's also a swimming enclosure out here but look of it so anyway 30 good spot I'm gonna unhook go for a bit of a drive and see if I can't find somewhere to go for the fish been hanging out to go for a fish for ages so anyway pretty stuck with this come and check it out a Brampton Beach campgrounds this is pretty bloody sensational [Music] while we're here hat brims to beach or just want to show you something I've got done in care that's the first time I've ever done it cuz I'm usually too tight to pay for it but I got the car detailed by professional it cost me 300 bucks he spent about five hours on it and holy hell how good is the car look bud I asked Beck about 47 times can you please cut and polish the car dear and what you tell me in a few more words than that anyway but look at that apart from a couple we have got a few stone chips that I'll need to get a bit of a touch-up paint on but look at that all the bush pinched dropping is gone out of it and the gloss is back on us she looks brand new hey Lily is good hmm so yeah you can see why I love the car woman mrs. someday well man hey so this is what the sites look like this is number three you drive in here you've got plenty of room to drive in and around and you'll be able to put your own little beach access over there so I'll park up take you for a look check this out you get in your van in here alright a I know we get as in here it's got a fireplace built up out of these big rocks and then he can just walk straight down onto the beach you have your Caravan tucked up under the trees it so tear you up you're leaving cans we're heading towards Cairns check it out mate make sure you look up near Branson Beach and come into this National Park because it is pretty freakin amazing oh wow look at that as he keeps on hi how good is it there's not one person here I haven't seen anyone else do time mate what something go for the kitties all right we will prize tonight we're maybe a bit short on time so it is done the Nobel Prize it's a match bottom bench for the kid 'lets tonight keep them happy you like that bill lawsuits nothing wrong with a cloudy boy is that bill it's called bed oh I know I can actually it is October by the way there you go it's the 9th of November and although it's absolutely beautiful here so I look at it oh yeah hey these North Queensland whether it is it's just actually turned it up a notch setting up in the mugginess stakes yeah it's today's different hey the communities just keep you today and it's just I'm hot I'm sweaty it's ready buddy man so anyway I'm usually before we head off somewhere I'll do the outside stuff pack it up roll it up hook it up and uh thank you boo make sure the bids are clean hatches are shut the TV's only can I stop you here for a second do you always make sure the hatch is the show not always yes I have been known to stop out that uh and she makes logically foods and organizers water for the car investors excuse me but you have to it's all that teamwork you can't let one person do everything as much as I keep telling dick that make sense it just doesn't work and you can't leave long-term on the road unless you've all got a job and you're all well you're why I did that's right and the kids have day little jokes as well I do they claim they're guys let's think Oh as long as they don't go back oh they do their beds and they've got other little jobs not necessarily associated with the pack Arthur but they do help me set up I always pull them out out and they bank bags in they've passed stuff out of the band so yet anyway well we're here pretty much the only stuff that comes inside from our normal outside setup is the chairs we throw one over there and Beck hasn't put usually guys down the side there and our beach bag goes there and then that's it everything else lives in the outside boot and the mat rolls up on the front drove around behind the deflector so sorry I just add we do get a lot of questions about how we basically store our stuff in this Caravan so while I'm doing the dishes I'll just quickly show you this is very typical our plates and everything got this pullout drawer here for all that Cup all that cutlery or um yeah cutlery in there and utensils down the bottom here yeah and below that to drop down door for like can't cans and tin food and stuff and then same under this one for movies this one under here's another drop down if you drop that we just keep like YouTube eggs protein powder nutribullet bloody yeah and a couple of big Tupperware containers and stuff so that's where most of it lives and then up up that side those three are all food there's a drop-down table under there that's for more food and Ivan trays and veggies and stuff and then there's another one under the fridge that's got our big pots and pans and stuff yeah yeah and then there you go it's pretty good it works Hey we had a lot of input into this tool I have a lot of storage and drawers to where we want it and that's another reason why we don't have an oven because it's a big kick-ass drawer there yeah so there you go everything works it's accessible the kids can get it excuse me the kids can get it as well which is kind of handy yeah all you got to remember is this is only a twenty foot nine van and we're a family of five that live in it full-time oh no where we going back where up to anyway today just down the road not far at all I don't know how many case maybe like 50 or 60 or something if that so we're going to go there and there apparently you can see like cassowaries in the wild Foster King on the side of the road and that sort of thing but it's just a beautiful outlook there - I've seen a couple of photos that anyway look it there we're gonna dump hard unnie in Ingham on the way through his file things are fair but is it sorry in a sale and then today is our wedding anniversary so happy anniversary I'm so smart and tomorrow's my birthday guess how old I am I know I am self anyway that's it let's go - anybody will show you around and hopefully hopefully I can catch a bloody fish that's what I want for my birthday I want to catch the bearer at anybody come on fish [Music] radio we have just rocked up to anybody hey kids you excited ha have a look at this out the window well anyway you can even swim here there's a whole swimming net straight out there look at the color of that water in that Beach and the van park is guess what right yeah here's the sights thanks just going into the office there I've no idea how much it cost yet but far out I don't care this looks crazy look at there say Eddie Bay's really in for these fellas and he's come straight past the van good job he's walking around the car following hey you guy give that me crazy well to make sure you don't leave any food out cuz you'll come in look he's always gonna scare these people still did you see freak yeah good is it busy oh no it's not this it's not that perfect n thing I think two nights might be five or six bay and it's safe you can sit in here and just swim what do you think of this boat I can tell you why we can do it here we've got no kids around annoying us well we're here at the beach and then BOOM there's the van and car and Justins cooped up I chopped it up and just as cooked up a beautiful pasture and this is pretty special whoa look at that these palm trees here swing around and come down here we spent about an hour down here today swimming that's like a swimming and closer just here and you cruise back up here is a surf club in general store and the office to check in by this place way I don't know we're never be near boat but on raiding it pretty buddy oily all right excuse my lovely morning face but the day after our wedding anniversary is Justin's birthday so it's funny we're at every game we've got literally no service at all and a couple of birthday messages just come through for Justin suit he's just ducked down to the beach to get his birthday messages and Jack and I have been cooking up his brekkie but um it's gonna be a lovely day we've got mint weather we don't typically do presents for our birthdays and I think that's just we've always done that cuz we've always been mad savers and hey I've got some new clothes last week cause he's a bogan and needed some new clothes but every year to 18 months I'll just go into a big shop for him anyway so I got some new clothes and he wants the new go for eight so yeah we're gonna make the cake later aren't we excited [Music] I explained how you got some new clothes and you're getting a GoPro all right you have to check this out huh Eddie Bay the caravan park is only a 10-minute walk away we've just come around the rocks here and then look at the paradise that is all around anybody right actually rainforest rocks and the clearest blue water and it's absolutely the best temperature swimming net enclosure up there is lots of people been snorkeling and spearfishing around out here as well oh I tell ya I don't know a list of number-one and top ten places keeps changing a lot but I think a couple of things make this place epic and it's the fact that it's November we've got no wind epic weather and there's no one here but there's no crowd - you're so I'm not sure if they charge the kids I think it's pretty short I'm pretty sure it's a flat rate 37 bucks a night for power like that's just unheard of in Australia now unheard of and I are really it's all oh least million lost it where I got like 25 it's a tiny little Park it is beautiful market not busy and you give this look at this Eddy bite I'm calling it fact it's in the top ten easy [Music] seven [Music] well well good morning from Eddie Bay anyway we just want to show you something free space we get up a new sunrise down then together it's kind of nice yeah 5:30 but do this that is pretty nice it's like bitter cloud there didn't make it the most perfect sunrise but you should have seen it before the actual Sun come on so crazy pretty late anyway it's been four days of pure perfection I absolutely loved it so actually get on check it out strippers thrown up come here during the peak season because there's no beautiful spot in North Queensland so today we took on down the coast a bit I think we only got about 30 days so it's not very far but there's another cool spot I will show you as well so you know what make grab a coffee and [Music] [Music] so we have ended up at Mission Beach and I tell ya it ain't a bad thing look at this so these are the unpaired sites right all the beachfront ones unknown our I'll come in here what do you reckon how much was it 27 here we go it's a long story no $27 for an unpowered beachfront saw and it's all the face here based on two adults and two kids like anyway I'll take you for a look this is it we have got Oh number 13 look at this this is like a foot path that goes left another one that goes right so you can walk your way into town a little boat ramp it takes you out well to what I can only explain is pretty much North Queensland paradise can you freakin believe it look too bad I 27 bucks I think that's done gone over there right he was a swimmer net enclosure Danny and that's Mission Beach down there said the main center of town is literally I don't I father made his day on the beach the spirit of cranes am i back alongside a train there's one today some other yeah we want to do the game barcode we don't attack kids supposed to be luxury so you can't do it kids are the trouble it's purely crazy saying I want to be that good I'll be like son cares to ristmas [Music] [Applause] [Music] so this is the marshals camping area look at that you can just pull up and park wherever your laughter's heaps of cool sports it's huge money he can park oh my you can feed hundreds of people any there's little fire pits scattered around the joint toilets bit of shade so flat I like it but they've been I'd say they've been doing a controlled burn in the last day or two so there's a lot of half was still sort of a bit smoky and on fire and and I was microsphere real safe camping in the middle of that when the rest of Queens ain't so far we might just have a look at the Falls and then have lunch a bunch and get moving I think just so we are we're not on buddy Firewatch or not yeah anyway this is it buddy nice alright so there you go that's Murray Falls thanks pretty buddy nice we're here in November as well so there's not much water coming down and still pretty damn nice now Betty Empire not allowed to swim anywhere along the base the Falls here so you have to go way back there's two swimming holes back at the day use area just out from the campground so we'll go there and say those easy walk only like a two minute walk down the boardwalk to get here where are we when tonight and it's charging in the wet season is sick right I so we've decided that we are not going to stay at the top there it's a bit bloody hot and the fires are still going and stuff but check this out would you come down to the dais area this is perfect for the kids look at this what do you reckon by all the kids are straight into it go again Jack that's the slide so this is like a little version of Josephine carefully oh man I'm gone in you coming we are heading into the paluma range National Park and today we've decided we got a hit up big Crystal Creek Camp Creek campgrounds [Music] my singing only one Bandung games let's do it big crystal look at that looks to be draw it in the back there but oh I like this place but riots like the Caribbean is talking to me chicken maybe this we're pretty unlucky there's a total fire ban yeah I know where right here self-contained one which is cool but anyway there's plenty of room on here there's big sites for vans easy to get in I think this space we got even though he'd get to is on the one saw it it's awesome I like it anyway what crack a beer and can't find out with its water hole is a well hey give my fingers for a birthday or something I know just um a good special at willies so if you bought a counter Peroni actually I'll go back to the start of the story I mean I asked him back but I just can she get me a spoon of glass because I'm sick of drinking beer out of a tin when you bought 30-pack it just doesn't taste the same can you just get me a glass what could be glass so I can have a beer out of the glass anyway doing the groceries the other day and lo and behold outside bullies boycotted Peroni get a spoon and glass for free and I'm well I'll lock the AK because I'll not give me two as well I saw a bored accountant to throw knees anyway we're all set up at big crystal creek anyway if you're one remember we're such a beautiful backdrop but I'm gonna pull this and bloody enjoy it I'll tell you I've even had me screwing a glass in the freezer to get it frosty I'm poor to be a wall but I reckon I reckon I reckon I reckon got a lot of fresh fruit and nuts and stuff so I'm not gonna go check this out I'm gonna I've made the asteroid on my map version of it for go dates strawberries coconut mango banana with some peanut butter on it kuku and some roasted usually and a couple of Hartman's right but we're gonna plate this up right the good fight for this so tasty happy of that all right are you reckon hang on what do you think of it plenty oh it's sorry tight these men for me a couple of times before so good delicious which runs on beaches that's the fresh mango and everything it's not there oh yeah fresh coconut leaf and a Mission Beach cracked it open Oh punky bus been that much of a thing oh okay wait you know how we can do that with a blender only a free camping at Crystal Creek it's because we've got an back hey tell me earlier it's not even 7:00 o'clock yet the sun's come up about 5:00 Darien dear hey the geese a clicker in heaven funny event they get it's a couple every two penny there's a blind bunny he'll take bread Eddie and super calmly oh yeah this is it this is our van this is a creek this is the campsites I'm the main guys we're pretty lucky none of them fell off last night mounted on the roof so a pretty stoked with that because it would work a samurai yeah nice is this I'll walk last night we witnessed they came fire burn and Wow hey I'd seen photos of it why I seriously did not think it was going to be that sort of intense please please fries you what do you records act they just um hey let's look at how quickly it goes dad okay quickly it's gone [Applause] and that's it before this that early beach with Sundays you might have already seen that episode we did it if a while ago on our way through we dropped in and did our on our own with Sunday renting up like a bear bot boat yo we took it out and we put that episode out already's but if you haven't seen it check out the previous is in the speed you'll see it this one it was hard for us our car had a blown engine and we got stuck in cans for like four to five weeks waiting for it to get fixed so we sort of just had a day trip around and it's not normally how we would have traveled but a bad place to be stocking them no but I reckon you still would have got some good info out of it we went to some good spots and then especially once we picked up the car and comes in places we stayed cool it's really funny because a lot of people say to us I don't you get to see it going back to the same places because we never do we actually hit some epic spots on the way down and we found a few more that we need to hit on the way back so it's gonna be good so anyway you would have seen like I said that we'd Sunday one and the McCoy one now we are sort of all caught up right so this is this is back to 2020 so what we're gonna try and do this year it's gonna stay more current so you know kids kids having so I'm gonna put him out after we've been to the places so it's easier for you guys to follow last year it was hard because we'd started the series and then the car blew up later on in the year and anyway I was just be hard to try and keep the flow going this year we'll be all sweet and now we've got some really cool stuff planned so I'll tell you that you know what do a whole episode just on 2020 plans I think I want to say a massive thank you if you haven't seen already we've got a patreon page
