BYD SEAL PERFORMANCE! First EV I actually liked!

Ruel is ready for church shoot yeah right and at church no so anyways uh we are oh we got my boy Nar too we are headed out today we got byd downstairs with a brand new what is that the seal performance it's sick uh it's over 500 horsepower we're going to check it out right now let's go [ __ ] well literally there was something happening yeah where in your stomach yeah in my stomach and the what's up guys and welcome back to another episode horsepower cartel today we're in the byd seal performance and uh you know what that means the performance variant so let me just show you quickly what I mean by that that's insane then what do you think [ __ ] Fast Very F the g4ce is crazy and you're sitting in the back I can feel it you can feel the yesterday's pan yesterday's paneer roll you should capture my Expressions you know pushing we will in a bit for now we got r shooting on the outside so he's going to give us some cool b-roll shots but uh yeah let's talk about this car byd seal is uh one of the entry models from byd byd has been around since uh a few years now I think a year and a half I guess and they've been really making some noise in the market and uh so far honestly out of all the EVS I haven't heard any issues from this car so uh it's something really cool to definitely check out and look into if you're looking to move to the EV side and uh this performance model really got me excited so yeah let's see let's talk about it so the byd seal starts at about around early 40s um around like 42 43 laks for the dynamic model then they have a premium model which is a little more expensive I think it's around 48 and then this is the performance now each model obviously has its quir certain features on the battery and horsepower and obviously charging and range uh capabilities this car has uh 580 range 550 range but honestly the byd people told me you get about 450 in the city which isn't bad horsepower wise the basic one has about 204 which is the dynamic then we have the premium which has about 310 or 308 or something like that then we got the performance which is this one which has about 520 yeah we're going to do a test hopefully it drives up we're going to go to Mexico do a test and see what it does in the quarter mile I got my draggy with me one really cool Quirk about this car there's no badges saying that this is a performance now this is a really big Flex I love this never check this out there's no performance badge on this car the only way you can tell this is a byd performance the seal performance is by looking at two badges on the back one badge says all-wheel drive which is okay you know the rest of the models are rear wheel drive this model says all-wheel drive on the performance says all wheeel drive and on the other side it says 3.8s which means it's 0 to 3.8 seconds and honestly driving this thing I think is way quicker than that so got the good old draggy and let's see if byd can put their money where their mouth is or electricity where their plug is I know you guys might be skeptic on how how safe is this car you know it's been out is there any issues got the regular plug Point as all other EVS have and about it Catching Fire we had no cases in India of this car having any issues like that so byd India is really going strong doing good this got like a Euro 5 star crash test rating which is insane a lot of cars a lot of big Brands don't even have that but this one has a festar crash test rating and that's that's pretty cool it's good to know nine airbags in this thing nine freaking airbags n how many airbags you got I just got two damn this one's got nine and uh honestly the steering wheel actually looks like something out of a McLaren that's crazy I we got this screen over here never check this out you want to see a trick oh so you can have the the whole screen tilt over and have it vertically instead of horizontal but this is the gauge over here as you can see and uh it has your kilowatts which is your RPM I guess and then obviously your kilomet per hour got all your information on there but this infotainment system I'm going to come back to it in a bit later in the video and show you guys all the features like hi byd I feel cold okay I've raised the temperature by 1° now how cool is that literally well warm how warm is that cuz they just increase the temperature by 1° and crazy features on this really user friendly and easy to drive this car is really light even though it's in sport uh the steering wheel is really easy and good feedback when you put in normal and Eco there only three modes as you can see sport as soon as you put in sport you could really really feel the Regeneration on the braking like you only need to hit the brakes just start stopping really aggressive they got normal and Eco so we're going to put an Eco for now so check it out it has swing AC option so you can do focus and you can only focus it on us it has other features too like avoid where the AC will go right over your head but it will just circulate in the car and it won't be on you and obviously got free let me just flip this thing around real quick and you can actually here let me put this thing on free you should actually Focus the air where you want it I can actually feel it moving on me how crazy is that and we can increase the fan speed and as you increase the fan speed this increases too I feel like oh I guess you got to go like that but that's so awesome that's so cool and it's got the full inter interior as you can see buid it's got the full interior over here how dope Is that real easy to use like honestly out of a lot of touch screens a lot of these EV cars this has probably been one of the coolest things and check this out air purifier as well that's the inside right now I don't know if that's the outside that's definitely not outside but yeah turn on uh purification and it uh completely I guess uh recirculates the inside air from the outside and purify is it you know just in casee you do a hot box in here and your parents are about to get in you hit this button right here and you're good to [Music] go driving I noticed this little thing on the top of the screen it's saying 40 it's blinking 30 I guess that's the recommended speed limit because it is raining right now and this computer system is going crazy with the sensors and there's some things beeping and stuff but pretty comfortable car there what do you think very comfortable car but re seats a little bit uncomfortable but that's fine you're not used to it you're used to the luxury life like a mayback and stuff like that you know you've been spoiled even though bro you shouldn't complain you just spent 8 hours in the Gypsy bro this guy just drove by by just drove back from aabad in a gypsy for 8 hours but I'm looking at when I look back honestly if I didn't think this was a uh if I didn't know this was a byd I would think it's a Mercedes or something cuz but the interior is thick ass yeah the seats and everything are so cool amazing this got heated and uh cooling ventilated seats so here we go watch this hi byd turn on ventilated seats cool take got it turning on seat ventilation we have ventilated seats in the No No ventilated seats in the rear but the front two seats are ventilated heated and cooled as you can see it's got a big panoramic or panoramic moon roof fixed you cannot open it but I think it does uh I don't know it's not sunny today so you don't know how it's going to be but I just hope it it's tinted enough for the Sun so you don't get you know so it doesn't get too hot here and you catch a tan or something but if all you guys are wondering oh it's such a new uh company in this country like is there any after sale support well don't worry they got they got service centers and obviously showrooms and all basically if there's a showroom in your city there's a service center this one shout out to lmar cars shout out to my boy Millan for bringing this out and for them to lend this car and check uh bring the other SUV as well out up there where we sitting really nice of them so uh yeah if you guys are wondering what what is what is the deal at the market he like I buy this car what am I going to do well this has a 8year warranty on the drivetrain and the battery on the on the motor and the battery itself 8 years 160,000 160,000 uh kilm now when it comes to the basic electric parts and stuff of the interior and all the other stuff which a regular car has it's 3 years and uh believe it or not they even have a tire warranty for one year so when you buy this car and the battery the actual auxiliary battery which all these normal cars have the warranty on that is a year so pretty cool stuff I haven't really found out about the service thing how much it costs and everything I mean there's not anything you really have to service in this I mean there's no oil there's no motor so there's no oil you know you have to put in or keep doing oil changes but uh yeah you don't got to worry about nothing they got you you know this thing you know like I said regular charger just like every other EV the plug you know obviously the infrastructure is growing when it comes to EV cars so if you're looking to one especially in a tier one country or one city like Mumbai uh you have nothing to worry [Music] [Music] about apparently if you sitting in another car and if you see the seats of this car it feels like you're sitting in an ason yeah honestly like um the top portion yeah the top portion from the this part up like you think it's some exotic like you know either a German counterpart or you know British Aston Martin luxury super luxury and this Panic is huge but the build quality on this obviously being a CBU uh it's really good it's got alcantar or suede everywhere leather dashboard with the blue stitching which is pretty cool yeah we'll get it into the interior in a bit I'm really impressed and this McLaren steering wheel is just I'm loving it uh Millan was uh able to tell me that the speed limited actually has these uh sensors or cameras in the front where it senses the signs sign board of the speed limit and tells you what the speed limit is so let's see if that's true cuz we're about to get on we're on the coastal Road we're about to get on the main stretch now and let's see if it switches to 80 because see it has the ad ass it has level two ad ass which I'm not using right now but it has Lane assist so it's like I'm fighting with the car because it keeps cuz I keep going out of Lane but now it switched to 80 you see that now it says 80 that's pretty cool and I can't wait to hear this thing in the tunnel man it's going to be crazy n you excited for the tunnel run yeah very much let's see how it sounds better than a V8 and V12 na [Music] autonomous driving thing now and uh I don't know if I trust this actually I'm probably not doing it right hold on I don't know if this has Lane assist or it has the oh my God it does have self- drive that's crazy that is crazy I'm just going to you know keep my hands here gently but it's maintaining the lane I'm in this Lane and I guess it's sensing the um the lines obviously and I'm not touching the stering wheel little bit you scared not the dog you trust me you trust China I trust China yeah but it says please grab the stering but we're in ego so it didn't really take off it like I wanted to but yeah man pretty cool that's actually the first time I ever used it honestly I've driven Teslas before but I've never used it so staying in the lane I don't have to do anything just chilling but I think it has sensors where you have to constantly hold the steering wheel so I don't know what benefit that has it's pretty cool it's a weird feeling I'll tell you that n had a concern he's saying that what if please tell us your concern bro so what if after a few years once the battery pack go old and there's a leak on the battery power does one get an electric shock inside I don't know holding the staving and he's just electrocuted how do you pronounce that yeah too early in the morning you're you're feeling electrified electrified but as one yet I'm pretty much concerned about that this a curious question comment below guys what you guys think does they do do they get the Center Cent fresh yeah Center why why do they have this this is a just a gimmick function gimmick function Some people prefer this so what happens basically is when you turn on the Android auto or the Apple carplay it will rotate back to the landscape mode of course because you have the map vision you know Spotify or whatever you need so this is a 15.5 in entertainment screen 15.5 that's insane and this is your multi-information display yeah this will show you all the speed your tire pressure monitoring system what is this button this is your 360° camera okay that has a button on the stairing wheel that's pretty cool there is a manual switch okay wow any which ways when you AVM this is a overview through the car this is a 3 wow the the got the AR augmented reality that's so cool that's the other byd part over there and then it has the overview view so if you tap on the screen it shows you what under the car so there cameras under the car what happens here is the front and the rear camera already prerecorded and all that and just knows what's there you image wow that is really insane and obviously you have the augmented reality right here see as you can see that horse over there it's here as well what is this front view so there are different types of view you can manually adjust wow if you don't want the 3D screen you can just that's so cool manual switches so it's really like a Tesla it's just like a Tesla wow okay now let's check out the features okay what is that so this uh is a Android tablet as it this is your notification bar wow and uh it's got the quick everything like if you need to you heads up display what is the da this is driver attention warning okay just that when you when I was doing the um ads like it has these two buttons I was hitting this yes to activate it yes that is to uh switch on the lane keep assist oh that was the lane keep assist when you want to turn on the adaptive cruise control you have to press this set switch okay and then uh manually you can adjust the speed as well I guess I wasn't doing that what's this uh this is to maintain the distance between you and the front car so this is how much further and how much closer that is really cool okay so I wasn't using ad ass I was using Lan keep assist which is kind of like a ad ass you can say but I my hands W on the steering wheel as you saw you know did you get scared no so we did do a quarter mile run do you want to know what we ran noidea we did a 123 and 0 to 100 we weren't able to do 3.8 seconds but it was really windy and the conditions as you can see wasn't that great we did 4 seconds flat which isn't bad and the road is windy and you know obviously Mexico is not that great um especially in the lane I was doing this in so so the main highlight with the screen is the air condition yeah the air V yeah you can adjust it I already yeah I already already mentioned that what other cool features are we looking at uh this has a air circulation mode yeah I already spoke about that too when you go to the uh air purifier air purifier in this okay yeah air purification yeah it's really it's so easy to use that's user friendly that you end up thinking it's complicated cck random things but it's really easy you want you want your you know Heating and ventilation you know it's really easy you can it has the rear windshield and side mirror heating that's like easy it's just whatever you need is written over there it's nothing like hidden there's no buttons like you know you have to figure out everything is over here two wireless chargers it has two cup holders here this is your height adjustable cup holder yeah height adjustable how cool is that and push it down and put your cool gol box so temperature you can put your cool beers or Red Bull or whatever you want to drink in there how many degrees uh it will adjust according to the AC set temperature oh wow that's so cool so this is the traction control right here this are parking sensors parking sensors this one this is auto hold yes oh Auto hold I was trying to look for that okay Auto hold it does have Auto hold once you plug in the seat Bel Auto will and as a one main thing I really actually I pointed it out to you yesterday even though everything's on the screen God forbid your screen stops working it's a very hot day in Mumbai you have the AC controls right here manually which is really really really cool and has the auto button over here as well so it will automatically adjust it has this I think this is such a good feature because God forbid this stops working and you know your screen's not working which I don't you know you have warranty and all that you don't need to worry about that but you know you have a manual control you have a manual control here which makes a difference this is the gear knob you know drive neutral I don't know why it has a neutral honestly and a reverse as soon as you put it in reverse you get the thing you get the cameras and the parking sens AC ated um and then to put it in park you just hit this button here that's it parking sensor turned off and that's pretty much it man one more highlight about this entertainment screen is you get voice assistance so if you are too lazy High BD yeah we already spoke about that too lazy you can just ask the system to do what you need again yeah hi byd I'm feeling hot all right the temperature is going down by 1° that's so cool you want to roll down all windows seat heating ventilation yes that is yeah I did the seat heating ventilation volume control seat heating ventilation as well yes hi byd turn off seat ventilation sure I'll turn off seat ventilation that is so awesome and this car is a CBU it's a CBU completely built unit and this is Alcantara or sued this is sued this is suede okay squid you know you don't need Alcantara in this you know all components are soft touch all everything soft tou none of that plasticky stuff which you see in a lot of you know newer electric vehicles now um I know we when I saw this car yesterday it was at 125 km range obviously now it's at 70% now this car has a range they claim 550 580 580 sorry 580 claimed range but in the city and everything you can expect it around 450 to 480 that's not bad so right around right inside 500 which isn't bad and how long does it take to charge uh so with your wall mount charger it will come with 7.3 Kow charger so that will take close to 8 8 and 1 half hours for full charge okay from 0 to 100 but with byd uh this has the max capacity of 150 KW DC charger to be accepted with DC charger going on if you charge at a fast charging pump or a charging station it will take hardly 1 hour 10 minutes to full charge the car wow not bad yes as you can see has ambient lighting which you can also adjust through the friendly uh computer on here High byd change ambient lighting to Blue let me check it out it's going to change setting the ambient light color to Blue how cool is that hi byd change ambient lighting to purple setting the ambient light color to purple that is so cool that is so cool it has torque vectoring which is basically their version is intelligent torque adaption control so this thing must tell me that it will stop you from sliding so we don't like that actually you know where I come from we like sliding around but it's that's fine you know it's actually really good safety feature because torque vectoring in a power like in a car like this powerwise you need it but you can turn it off as well but you said it turns on by default by default when when you when you start driving start the car you have to manually uh turn it off and when you want to turn it on you'll have to manually turn it on okay okay so here we go all the settings you could steering assist mode you can put it in comfortable you can put in sport I love it it just says comfortable in sport like it's just so plain and simple breake assist again Comfort parking what's that uh that is once you uh put it on the reverse gear it will turn on all the sensors and the camera oh okay basically and this when you turn it off does have the easy exit as well so uh you have nothing to worry about i' everybody trying to get in so let's unlock the door for him and see the handles come out this has the handles on the car that come out it doesn't doesn't have the actual physical handles that you grab and pull that has I mean does but it pops out okay so the suspension so this has adaptive dampers in the suspension as well uh when you go ahead and here actually let me show you over here this is the um obviously the multimedia toggle switch to turn it on and off you completely turn it off and then you can turn it on this is the modes like I told you uh you can actually put it in normal and Eco and then sport three settings real simple nothing crazy you know there's no sport there's no Sports Plus or Comfort Pro whatever it's just normal Eco and Sport that's it and uh tire pressure monitor with uh temperature as well that's pretty cool temperature meter you definitely need it especially when you're doing Highway drives for a while you want to know what your tire pressure is at so you don't have any you know explosions while you're driving and it has the energy manager you can actually this is the regenerative braking B I realized when you're driving it starts breaking on its own which is pretty cool charging settings and everything smart charging so you can set the timer when you get home to char schedule charging wow that's so cool and consumption it tells you obviously it's probably really bad the way I'm been driving this thing but yeah awesome the audio system also yeah it's got It's got this uh dino audio which actually makes speakers for oneus OnePlus and this has customization modes Dynamic acoustic soft surround system then your cabin front or it has the focus for the oh it actually says D auto focus and this has 11 speakers and a subwoofer at the 11 speakers and a subwoofer let's actually hear this thing so we're going to go to the home menu go to Radio let's hear how it sounds increase the volume volum or set the volume some [Music] music hi byd mute the Audio I muted the audio how cool so sound system sounds pretty good uh where the settings for it oh no it's right here I think can't you just click on this uh one second this then go here you can do the same thing right wow so it has a volume assist to the speed as you mentioned and you can adjust the base and everything yeah that is customize oh it's got a full equalizer how cool is that you turn the base all the way up the sub get the mids that's how it should be so this interior man I have to show you guys so sick this stering wheel looks something straight out of McLaren like I mentioned it's got some storage over there as well big armrests and these seats I'm telling you man it literally looks like something out of a super car or some luxury segment car this is insane look at the leg room how cool is that don't mind my Bott bottle of water over there 2 lers I've been drinking a day actually four lers in a day you guys should stay hydrated anyways byd stitching in all the seats even the front and the back how cool is this and obviously it being all-wheel drive and not having the drive shaft cuz it has a motor in the front and the back there's no uh tunnel for the drive shaft so you have a lot of leg room and there's that huge sunroof so [Music] yeah all fancy with his clothes and his a espresso Martini it's a espresso martini what is it just two shots of coffee with ice it looks like two shots of vodka in there too bro real fancy today here we have the vyd here's the key real simple you can actually press and hold this and you can actually set the um AC to stay on you got to press and hold this for 3 seconds and the car starts you have to unlock it no just press and hold this button for 3 seconds and now the car is on so as you can see some really cool daytime running lights over here got some cool uh daytime running lights over here byd logo let's talk about some quirks on this car obviously no exhaust pipes comes with some nice Continental Tires here are the badges you got the byd seal got the all-wheel drive badge over there as you can see 3.8 seconds that was a flex they're talking about 3.8 seconds how cool is that so it's got the tail lights all around turn signals all LED really cool I love the design of this car and uh like I mentioned it's got the door handles that come in and out it's got a cool uh uh design to it I really like it you know really Tesla Model 3 Vibes really nice and you got these wheels which are these aerody disc type of design as you can see it's got the little slots over here obviously for the Dynamics to cool the brakes and everything as well yeah man it's like a little baby Tak hand you can see take hand on the budget byd sign over here the logo yeah let's check out the boot space go ahead and tap this twice and it's got a auto trunk pretty big boot space I think 400 L is what they said now the one downfall about this car it doesn't have a spare wheel so that's uh issue you'll have and here is my spare wheel hi spare wheel how are you just park it here parking got kush pulling up going to get his reaction of the BDS as you can see I turned the car on with the key you can see the wiper running as well and just in case you change your mind and you don't want to get in the car you can press and hold this again for 3 seconds and it will turn off now the car is off and just go ahead and lock it door handles go in and the mirrors fold what do you have to say first impression of the the byd seal definitely looks good the performance the perfect all right I'm going to try the Lane Cape assist and the ads so I have it set at 80 km per hour but it's not increasing the speed now if I do accelerate and I stop it starts reducing the speed automatically you can see the heads up display I have no hands on by the way I'm recording with one hand and I just have to once in a while gently hold the steering wheel but this is really nice and uh good for long drive is really comfortable I finally figured out how to work it you actually have to use this toggle on here to uh activate [Music] it oh my God so right now it's doing the autopilot autonomous driving and and uh basically if you don't hold the steering wheel it will tell you to grab the steering wheel and will start you see it's already slowing down because there's a car up ahead you can see the heads up display oh it stopped raining so I can properly talk about this car and do a walk around now it's got these vents on the side to bring in some cooling for I guess the brakes for the back or just some aerodynamic get but such a beautiful car it looks really nice honestly it's it's value for its money and even if you get the basic one the same Wheels the same bumpers and everything are available it's not like it's different it's not like it's on the performance it comes with the diffuser all models comes with it abs like I mentioned on the performance it's all-wheel drive and it has the badge right there 3.8 seconds now I'll post the draggy times that we did in Mexico I ran a 123 and uh 0 to 104 seconds but the weather conditions weren't all my favor so I definitely know it could do better timing or as good as what they listed it right now we're in the atto 3 just drove it for a bit pretty cool interior really different compared to uh actually pretty similar with the seats and everything but it's got these guitar strings on the side how cool is that just to hold your stuff and uh steering wheel and everything still got the McLaren cool looking steering but a smaller dis display big dis same display over here almost the same size similar buttons it has a steering control for that and uh I really want to show you guys the way you open this door so there's no door handles this is how you open it the speaker is how you actually open it how cool is that so finally we're done with the Drive NE what do you think lovely car but a bit unstable I believe yeah it must be the Crosswinds on uh in New Mexico and on Mexico there's some heavy Crosswinds because it is like you know Monsoon and you don't get that bad winds in also it is a bit unstable but it's a great car suspensions nice ground clearance is really good um also the leg room behind is really good as well good suspension so even if it's not self-drive if you want to get shered around this is a really nice car to look at if you're going in for a 3 Series or you know a cclass or something definitely I would definitely pick one of these up over there obviously being chines knes it loses his credibility but honestly if you had your fair share of Germans and if you're looking to spice it up a bit I think this is a really good option and I just can't stop looking at those seats in the back
