grab some cork place mats I want to paint the back sides of the place mats white I'm going to be decoupaging over this side so I need a nice clean and bright surface for under the napkins now that the paint is dry it's time to start working with the napkins with the napkin layers apart so I'm going to give each napkin a little bit of a softer look I can use a fine paintbrush and water to do this now that my napkins are ready it's time to start attaching them to the cork place mat I'm using a transfer and decoupage gel now that the de coupage medium is dry I can start to remove the excess pieces of napkins the final thing I need to do is brush a layer over the of the decoupage medium over the entire surface grab one of these three drawer bins from Walmart I picked up some half round pieces of wood and I need to cut them down to roughly 4 and 1/2 in each now it's time to attach them to the drawers so I'm just going to put a dab of glue on each piece of wood and put them all the way across the drawer now that everything's dry I'm take this outside and add a coat of spray paint grab some collapsible storage cubes from Walmart and some paint stir sticks measure the width of your storage Cube using a utility knife score the measurement line make these cuts on all of your paint sticks sand the cut ends of the sticks so there are no rough edges wipe some wood stain on the top and sides of each paint stick let them dry completely lay the paint sticks on the side of an open storage Cube start to glue each stir stick to the storage cube panel with a hot glue gun next time you are at Walmart grab a large plastic bowl or pasta bowl and a cereal bowl flip the large bowl over and apply a ring of clear adhesive glue around the perimeter of the bowl bottom to secure the two bowls together take some decorative rope and hot glue it around the center where the two bowls meet fill this bowl with water and add some floating candles [Music] time to break out of jail that is the Walmart ball jail you also need some green reindeer Moss start by spray painting the Walmart ball with moss green spray paint separate the large pieces and stretch out any chunks that are thick with a can of General spray adhesive Spritz a small portion of the ball with the adhesive take a small patch of green moss and press it onto the ball in the sticky area press and hold for a few seconds to make sure it sticks continue to spray the ball and attach the green moss to the outside once you cover the entire ball with spray adhesive and Moss give the entire moss covered ball an overall coat of the spray adhesive head on over to your local Walmart and grab their $7 Mirror Place the mirror directly in the center of the table just as you would a regular table runner clean off the mirror with some glass cleaner to remove any f fingerprints or smudges then start styling your table you want to pick up two bowls make sure they are ceramic or glass and that they are heat proof I took them home and I'm going to give them a coat of spray paint once the paint is dry these Bowls have a really nice textured look I'm just going to use some really strong glue to adhere them together in the top Bowl I am going to add three Wicks I'm just going to use a little bit of hot glue to secure them to the bottom then I'm going to grab two wooden skewers and wrap the wick around the skewers this is just going to hold everything in place great way to make your own candles is to reuse existing candle wax I have a couple of these Dollar Tree tall pillar candles and I'm going to place them in some boiling water now make sure you're wearing gloves these can get really hot and I'm just going to gently boil this until all the wax is melted pour the wax from all the candles into a metal container with a handle I'm opting to add a little essential oil for some scent and now we're just going to pour that melted wax then you're going to want to walk away for about 24 hours when it is completely set you can trim the Wix down and use your candle take a fabric place mat and flip it over using the storage Cube insert Trace around the insert on the plac mat once traced cut the fabric Square from the plac mat with a hot glue gun glue the plac mat Square to the side of the Open Storage Cube take some favorite yarn and make a pom pom with a pom pom maker using a large needle or upholstery needle thread one tail of the pom pom and insert it through the upper center of the glued placement through the storage Cube and not the two tails together on the inside of the storage Cube let's run on down to Walmart and it's time to grab your favorite inexpensive bucket we got to get those handles off next we're going to take that bucket and flip it over we need to set in two strips of wood that are going to fit right on the edge next stick them on there make sure they fit then you can use some hot glue just flip it over and press it against the plastic so do that to both pieces right on the edge and just hold it down till it sets next flip the bucket over and what you're going to do is grab just some small little screws so just take your drill and put it right in two or three in each strip of wood will be just right and that's going to hold it in place now it's time to put on the wheels and we're going to mark it one inch from each side of the wood we're going to put four of these legs on and we're going to drill it now it's time to take that hot glue put it right on the edge of the hole there and put the leg on look at this they are excellent now it's time to go ahead and decorate the bucket just take again our favorite hot glue put it right on the edge just stick it right on there just go ahead and set it all the way around and we're going to go around the whole bucket once you get that on it's time to take a little bit of your inexpensive fabric cut about 12 in wide we're going to use that hot glue again and we're going to fold over the edge what we're going to do do is fold it over the bucket it's going to cover all that plastic get that glue right on that last bit of rope right there we're going to take this all the way around the bucket today's project is going to require some closes pins and a small bucket the close pins are easy to take apart all we have to do is use some hot glue we're going to do that with multiple amounts all the way around now on the bottom I grab some rope from Dollar Tree put a little bit of hot glue push it in place just keep going all the way around now it comes time for stain next we need a wood or plastic hanger I took a square put it against the Inside Edge and Mark 90° we're actually going to cut on this line once we do that turn your bucket over and then we're going to hot glue our legs on if we do four of these across from each other it makes it nice and steady and stable put one of those last bits of rope that I have on there bring it around to the front and I'm going to tie a knot on it let's create an anthropology dupe so I'm going to grab a couple different styles of this pretty paper and I'm going to cut it into 4 in squares now I'm going to paint a thin coat of mod podge onto a white ceramic tile now I'm going to press these two together seal them in really good get any bubbles out now I'm going to come back and add a top coat of mod pod I'm going to repeat this with about 35 tiles I cut a piece of plywood to size and I'm going to paint the top using a white chalk paint now I'm going to place a ful length mirror right in the middle now to attach the mirror to the wood I'm using Gorilla Glue once I've got the mirror down I'm adding this board and some weight and I'm going to let this set for 24 hours now I'm going to dry fit the tiles into a pattern around the mirror for the corners where I have a little bit of a smaller space I'm actually just going to use a square of paper so the first thing I'm doing is adding a little bit of water to the wood with a paintbrush now for the tiles I'm using Gorilla Glue again and then the two are pressed together and I'm going to let the whole thing set for 24 hours grab a plastic bin from Walmart for this project I'm going to start by drilling a few holes into the side of the bin this is going to be four handles down the road then I'm going to flip the bin over and I'm going to drill four holes one in each corner of the plastic bin I want to dress this bin up so I picked up some gray and white patterned Fabric and I've cut it down to size so that it is the right height of the bin now I'm going to use some spray adhesive to adhere the fabric to the plastic when I get to the corners I am going to to cut up the side and then I can just fold these two pieces over each other creating a really nice looking seam to add the handles I'm going to locate the hole that I drilled with my finger and then just poke through the fabric with a pair of scissors now I can thread the jute through and tie a knot on the inside to secure it in place now I'm going to add some feet to the bottom to raise this up off the ground and just make it look a little nicer grab some hot glue and put a bead of glue along one side of your lampshade and then add some twine or jute and we're going to wrap that around the lampshade until we cover the entire thing after you have all your tassels made we are going to add these to the bottom of our lampshade and I decided to hot glue these you could use a needle and thread and tie them and sew them on the edge but this worked out perfect you are going to Simply trim off the excess Tails there are lots of ways to to decorate your home with things you already have did you know that your toothbrush holder is really great home decor cut small stems of faux wall and turn the lights on with the remote instant wall scon grab some fabric softener and your favorite color of latex paint take some poster board and measure and cut out squares lay the poster board squares on the rug in a checkerboard pattern so you can make sure that all the squares fit mix together one part latex paint to one part clear fabric softener and stir completely you will notice that the mixture thickens quite a bit add just a little bit of tap water to thin that out holding the poster board squares down with one hand start to paint in the open areas between the squares it's a good idea to paint all the squares lightly and then go back and fill in with more paint continue to add paint to each Square until you get the color density that you want this rug can be used in so press and hold until the glue dries place in the pot and fill with any other empty spaces with additional styrofoam take the styrofoam cone and cut it so it's about 3 to 4 in tall take a metal straw do this for the for the top and bottom of the shade continue the lamp makeover by spray painting the base of your lamp I hope this inspired you to give a tired and worn out lampshade a stylish makeover hand sew a simple over under Stitch around the perimeter of the place mats but pause about 2/3 of the way through stuff polyfill stuffing in between the two plac mats to whatever thickness you want then continue sewing the remaining space with the jute twine and tie off with a knot at the end using the upholstery needle and yarn sew the pom poms at different points around the perimeter of the pillow style your Jud pom pom pillow on a sofa or chair grab a basic Lazy Susan I thrifted mine and spray painted black use some hot glue in the center of a juk place mat and attach it to the best light or even style as a cool coffee station in your kitchen clean up an old planter pot and give it a makeover fold the bottom of a j place mat under and glue it so it is secure do the same for two more place mats and then glue the place mats together on the sides wrap the connected plac mats around the planter pot and glue the end together where they connect your plants will love this new textured planter pot thanks for watching home talk see you next time I grabbed glasswar from the thrift store and mixed Modge Podge with food coloring and then covered it on the outside of the glass make sure to apply an even thin coat so it doesn't drip when they were completely dry I applied a second coat and let that dry overnight I melted some old tapered candles I wrapped the wick around a wood scw and placed it over top next I poured the hot wax into each glass and let it cool we are going to make some beautiful home decor items using clear Elmer's Glue we are going to fill this vase with the clear glue then we're going to add in some clear and white decorative Pebbles now I'm going to grab some faux flowers now I'm just going to stick these into that glue once you've got them arranged just right set this aside and let it [Music] dry quick trip to my local dollar armor separate the layers cut the napkins so that you have enough to cover the body of the jar now I'm using some clear glue mixed with a tiny amount of water painted onto the side of the glass jar then lay down the paper nut and then using a piece of scrunch dark plastic wrap use that to pat down the napkin and eliminate any wrinkles that way draw around the lid because that will be the right size and cut out the piece of napkin Stick it to the bottom of the jar in the same way using the same process cut out a circle for the top and a little strip for the edge and stick it in place when it was dry I decided to give it two coats of a gloss varnish I have taken a battery operated Puck Light and stuck it into the lid of the glass [Music] jar we need a skinny roll of tape and we also need some clear Elmer's glue and our template for today is going to be an outside window we got to put some of that tape on the window now you can go ahead and take the tape and mask it to the grid that's already on the window or you can just go random like I'm doing it but the next step to this is way to grab that Elmer's Glue once we get some paint in there all you got to do is just go back and forth with it and it shakes up really nice next move on to your second color these are four colors we're going to go with now because it's on the Elmer's Glue it's actually non-toxic and I used a foam brush to transfer it to the window it's going to take multiple coats but the glue and the paint dries really fast you can actually put a coat on within an hour after you put on once it dries overnight you're going to take a knife and very gently we don't want to scratch the window if you try to pull the tape with it out using the knife it may pull the glue off just go ahead and start pulling the tape off it's another thing when you're done with this and you want to change it or just take it off later it peels right off we are going to grab a couple glass mason jars you're going to grab a small dish and you're going to fill it with clear glue in a little bit of water I used about 2 tbsp of glue and about about 1 tbsp of water then I'm going to drop in a little bit of food coloring then Stir It Up Until it's mixed really well grab your mason jar make sure it's nice and clean pour that dark blue mixture into the jar and swirl it around so it covers everything once you swirled it all around you can dump the excess back into the original container now we want to let this drip for a little bit let it drip for about 10 minutes take a paper towel wipe off any excess drips that are around the rim of the jar then place this upside down on a piece of parchment paper pop it in your oven at 175 for about 20 minutes after 20 minutes take it out turn it right side up and let it cool completely I'm going to take the piece of glass out and I'm going to draw a grid of squares and rectangles with black puffy paint when that's done I want to let that dry completely I'm going to use a little bit of clear glue and a few drops of paint so on that piece of glass where we added the puffy paint when it's completely dry I'm just going to use a popsicle stick and transfer some of those beautiful blue colors onto the glass but a little goes a long way because you don't want this to run over the black line once everything is done you can grab a toothpick and go back and just pop any of those bubbles that are in there then set this aside and just let it be grab some Elmer school glue for this rener friendly project first I gave my window a really good cleaning grab some masking tape to mask out an abstract design and then I'm going to take my Elmer's glue and pour it straight into the tray then I just rolled my glue onto the window I removed that masking tape before the Elmer's Glue could dry the carpet in my office needed to be replaced but it just wasn't in the budget but corn and crumpled paper was mixing equal parts of glue and water I made the paste for the floor using a wide paint brush I applied the glue to the floor making sure I got underneath the baseboards then I laid down the paper and brushed the glue on top I continued to apply the glue to the floor then the torn paper and then more glue over top of the torn paper I switched out my brush for a foam roller to cover larger areas but I kept the brush to use underneath the baseboard after the glue dried I applied stain to the floor using a foam roller after the stain dried I applied coat after coat of polyurethane using a lamb's wool applicator made this process so easy I made a trip to my local Dollar Store taking a terracotta pot I draw a very random shape taking the clear glue I pour some onto the side of the pot picking up some of the blue gravel and press it down I then put some of the silver glitter glue around the edge I'm going to stick these grasses and weeds to this glass cut off these extra bits on the bottom now I'm going to stick the tissue paper to the bars and I'm going to use a glue stick and then just rolling it pulling it tight on this side some more glue down and gently stick that in place too I'm going to go around and just trim head to the thrift store and pick up a set of matching glasses I'm grabbing a block of candle wax I'm going to take this all to the stove let it melt completely I'm going to set it aside and let it cool going to add Wix to these glasses now I can pour the wax into each candle and I'm going to let this set for a full 24 hours grab a Candlestick grab yourself a little container and pour in some mod podage then you're going to add a few drops of food coloring and just apply a coat over the entire outside of the Candlestick now I'm going to add a little bit of blue and then make another Candlestick Side Glass is covered just set these aside for an hour to so we're going to start with this cellophane piece here so I'm going to make the lines here go ahead and cut this put a clear dot or you could run a clear line and next I'm going to go ahead and place the celophane onto the glue and glass so I'll go ahead and continue putting the glue and the celophane up on all the [Music] blenders so I put two spoons of corn starch and two spoons of Elmer's glue and that's what we're looking for I'm going to use this really Lov L mandala stencil going very carefully I'm now going to apply it the whole stencil is covered and now for the Moment of Truth very very very carefully lift this off this is the next day now I left it overnight to dry also sanded it very lightly okay just going to give it one coat going to leave that to dry now I took the table apart separating the glass from the metal ring laid the glass on top of the mixure I mixed two parts white glue to one part Black Craft paint I outlined the Sun and once the lines had dried I cleaned up any lines that were too thick by cutting them away using a utility knife I painted the background using a 1in wide brush I added designs to each panel I gave the paint two coats of spray sealant I used a medium grit sanding sponge I painted the metal bright blue [Music] he
