BROKEN FORD 351 CLEVELAND WHAT WENT WRONG?

g'day guys it's the clever king here um these wolves have heard in my last video that i've had a bit of an issue with the engine in the ute my brother's helped me pull it out then with the tough red xz we've pulled the engine out we had a hook i i actually when something went wrong and i've been driving it hard really hard guys i'll put into this edit a couple of the pulls i've done with it [Music] wow [Music] oh this guy guys beautiful skyline [Music] all right show us what you've done i heard a bit of a funny noise i drove it home and i thought it might have done a conrod bearing because i've been revving it way beyond what the camshaft is capable of and the valve springs but as we've pulled the heads off and pulled it down i didn't see any pistons that have kiss valves or nothing like that you would not believe guys it actually looks really good we'll kind of a bit stumped everything the engine's down about 65 000 cases now in my you i estimated at about easy 450 480 horsepower the heads on the ground to you that we were running afforded by ben gutt so straight bar extremely works he goes this is a bit funny you have a bit of a look what happened to the fel pro intake 65 000k and with an edelbrock air gap seen that a few times started to let go so something i might have to put a bit of a note in the comment section of my video where i say to use these gaskets and say to check them maybe every you know 30 or 40 thousand never be developed at the combustion chamber on these heads that all the powers made in the chamber guys have a bit of a look at these they've been kissed up just a little bit big valves heavily ported i don't know if you can see it's hard to get these heads are crazy guys very nice guys they've got that nice arrow it's beautiful the runners are turned to the direction of the port they came off an xt that was running high tens and uh they went to four v iron heads and uh i picked them up but i've seen three done a few things on them all right let's have a bit of a look so this is it was a budget bottom end to you guys so suck crank sock rods flat top pistons we had a look all the pistons were good all the balls were good it still got the honey in the balls and we had a bit of a inspection the roll master's still tied the power bottom balance is still good on the seals it's a hour diet crank you would think there'd be no issue with one of them all the roads turns around really nice but when you come back this way what's that no yeah guys i broke a crank no way guys that's the crank it's rolled around can you see that goes way all the way through clean snap to be turned but what what can you do guys that is the first time i've seen a cleveland crank snap became on the way power to about 6200 or something that i'm running in here and i've been wrapping it well beyond that but um something i never expected to see have a look at the loose i've only ever seen drove at home i drove home it still drove guys guys he pulled up the driveway and i knew you should have heard it i've only ever seen a photo of one cleveland crank cracking at the front somewhere i've never seen one correct they're normally right here on the front nose well guys never seen anything like it were you giving it much bro not at the time but in the days leading up to the ones leading up however i sure was all right i'll pull out another bottom ends i've got inside we'll chuck something together and maybe reuse the cam and a few things from this bottom end so you can move them well the pistons all look good on that so be able to save a whole lot of this i'm just up for a new crank i've got a prank sitting around too i've never seen anything like it all right guys make sure you smash it like and subscribe the amazing thing is guys ford's the way they've built them i always joke about this and i go a broken ford still runs good guys this thing drove back with a broken crank oh that's the that's the break look at her just clean guys wouldn't want to put a bit of skin in there don't don't do that but you'll break your crank isaac was doing a fair few of these and then you getting around you'll have to do a bit of a compilation bro all your pulls so he actually really gave this engine a lot of punishment so i've done really well we use it as a bit of a workhorse too and it's unfortunate that it's off the road now but guys well we did not expect to see this we thought maybe it was a um a is that the more modern uh 6303 likely yeah from a black block 351 up the front here once again that's a big letter i thought they were the stronger ones they are meant to be the stronger pranks guys there you go wow so that's it bro you take that off from the list breaking crank don't do any more we'll have to sort this out we just thought we'd get a little simple guy show you exactly how we discovered it rip it down obviously the heads and everything's good but yeah we might be just doing a bottom end spot bro what do you reckon to go through your collection make a bit of a choice a couple of engines here i'll pull something out that's sitting around i'd obviously don't want to pull out
