Bricklaying without a labourer!

so I'm on me Jack Jones today the boys are all uh well I say the boys Tom's booked today off uh me brother and Jason are at work and the young apprentices cuz he's not cuz he can't get to this job it's a bit far for him he's uh gone to the other job he was on so I'm on me Todd today maybe tomorrow maybe the next day I'm not sure yet uh there's a lot of trench to be laid but I genuinely get through quite a lot of work on my own I find I'm quite i' I've worked on my own a lot in the past especially in Subs very easy to make money in Subs even on your own I say very easy it's not actually very easy it's actually physically very demanding so you do have to learn to pace yourself cuz for instance I remember i' done a sub on me own and I'd done like 700 CS worth of working in a day and then the next day I was and I didn't do all so you do have to uh I do that in general anyway even when I got a hug carry I tend to work really hard one day and then less hard the next day and then I sort of relax but anyway I'm knocking out for myself loading out for myself and laying myself see how we get on should we we got uh probably two 300 trench to lay or something like that easy peasy all right let's go and have a look right so we are going to take this flank through here bit of a pain in your ass with them up there so I'll have to slide a few blocks down I'll make it work these are lovely love lovely there right so I'm going to drop a few of them slide them down the little Hill uh and then get stuck in how many to lay today let's have a little look so it must be what 15 30 40 must be about 45 50 blocks long 50 blocks on 1 2 3 4 5 250 250 Trent through there bit of touching up to do there bit about with that I should have this done today and then we'll be on some screws tomorrow I love trench oh just is lovely and lights I remember gloves on for me health and safety mate tells me off all right top loading out um I'm just going to clean these up so I can reuse them take off anything that's been knocked it's only the edges and uh by then I should be able to chuck a gauge in uh I'll use up what we got and then chck to load more down a lot in there there some diesel anywhere come on all [Music] every day for it right got the first 75 blocks in they've just gone on their brake so I'm going do a little bit more loading out chck and have a gauge in so I now know that one tub does about 75 blocks I think there's about 75 in the next section so I'll uh get that put roughly in the middle get cracking on for [Music] is [Applause] [Applause] hey [Music] get in there can't h is he can't all right so we've got this wall in travel full left if that I'm probably just going to do a half a gauge it is4 to 1 half a gauge I'll fill that fill that and use the rest up in that that's not straight so it's got a kick in it and bit setting out and cuz it gets a bit awkward uh I don't want to waste my time knocking up muck that I'm not going to use so I'd rather just do a half a b at a time see how we get on just uh tip it down if you want and I'll slide it off that'll do you lovely top driver right I'm just going to go through fill that in fill that in and then get started on here right I've stitched these two in I had to knock some of that down uh clean them up redo it few blocks across the top Stitch that in over there what's that 1 two about 10 blocks over there 20 blocks there it's about 150 day through there so I got enough down today uh I'm going to I've only got that much M left it's qu 2 I got to clean the mixer out uh get the tools in the motor it really is not worth trying to start this it'll still be here in the morning and I don't want to be absolutely shattered tomorrow from laying another 50 Tren or so uh cuz I got screeds over there to do tomorrow so I'll get this done tomorrow morning then I'll get started on the screeds screed are hard graft as well so uh I done a lot of footings on my own back in the day uh so 2:00 is usually a good time to go home or start packing up anyway uh when you're doing work on your own cuz you got to understand about the cleaning the mixer out getting the tools put away you haven't got your labor there so have to accommodate for that you really don't want to be knackering yourself out uh anyway because the next day you're going to be and you ain't going to want to do anything [Music] so a ninja best part of the day he yeah about me [Music]
