[Applause] [Music] in 2009 arasanya began training at city kickboxing the chinese brought me over as a journeyman for their guys to beat up on because obviously they want to film what they got uprooting himself and moving to china so they gave me a name you know for sure uh halo that means the black dragon you did 81 fights in kickboxing i think oh 75 and 4 with 29 knockouts it's like i can unlock the cheat code in the game you just hit god mode the legend of the last style bender was about to be born by one king in the ring three times twice at cruiserweight and then heavyweight which is 100kg fighters do not make a lot of money until they are at the top level 28k fight kickboxing honed israel's most powerful mma tool is striking his 75 wins forged a unique style that was in the first heavyweight tournament so that was my second fight that night and the guy he was the favorite i think to win that made him a must-see attraction [Applause] would you like to see him come back yes i would i think that he would be a good addition to this michael jordan announced today he's coming back to basketball jordan returns to the nba on nbc at noon eastern yes that was 636 days ago so 21 months after his last appearance in an nba game only five months after his number 23 was raised to the rafters in chicago michael jordan has returned and he's wearing number 45 a lot of special moments in nba basketball usually the opening game of the season the playoffs seventh game of the series the finals i don't know about you but i got the goosebumps for this one this is very special the moment is nearly at hand michael jordan's return to the nba whereas jordan is the undisputed goat like there's i mean really no debate make a wish [Applause] you know he's the greatest has ever played greatest we ever play yeah you you go right there no question about it [Music] [Applause] [Music] like you said bill he was a celebrity he wasn't a basketball player he was a [Music] celebrity and i'll tell you as a kid growing up you know in high school i can't even describe what that was like you playing megatron y'all know what mecca tried to do we are here at ford field getting set for the 12th all-time meeting between these two franchises featuring once again number 81 calvin johnson in there you just don't have the nickname megan trying just to have megatron man if anybody just been growing up on the transformer days man megatron boom perfect timing what an incredible interception by ride that one goes in the time capsule you won't see a better one than that i'm sitting right there okay for eight years he worked construction by day and fought by night earning purses of a few hundred dollars coming into this fight has won 12 fights in a row 11 of them by knockout the marvelous marvin hegler [Applause] marvin had to grind his way up in the fight game good uppercut is a real honest work he's in there he's putting pressure on he's moving his hands all the time now runs his record to 41 2 1. his perseverance through the corrupt world of boxing was one of his strongest attributes is it true that joe frazier once said something to you a long time ago that you had three strikes against you three strokes can you tell me about them one was that i was black second one that i was a sophomore and the third one that i was good he was right yes he was right 46 fights and still no title shot in the bad old days of boxing it was not uncommon for worthy challengers to be overlooked ignored and bypassed especially if like hagler they come from out of the way places without connections in the boxing establishment i really felt as though i never got the respect and which i deserve in the beginning part of my career it was his intensity and his whole attitude to the game that meant you know we could all identify with him his relentless aggression had made him a fan favorite from the new york yankees the shortstop number two derek jesus number two it was an absolute honor to watch derek jeter i have not a negative word to say about this man i love him i'm gonna miss him there's a palpable tension here at the ballpark and when derek comes up this inning this place will get very loud [Music] [Applause] history someone like derek just doesn't come down the pike very often the undefeated heavyweight has signed to fight in the hbo title unification series and he'll face trevor berbick the wbc title holder probably sometime this fall and if taishan should beat burbik he would become the youngest man in history ever to win the heavyweight championship berber was the last person to fight ali and he heard ali very bad when you fought him was there any revenge 100 yes no doubt about it i said oh i can't wait to get help him and larry holmes the fight brought out all the a-listers and tony danza i laugh at tony danza and i'm super creepy rob lowe in the morning i'm making waffles so now the moment of truth is not far off this will be the wbc heavyweight championship of the world he could go into the record books tonight if he can capture the title from the reigning champ trevor berbick this is what mike tyson has trained his whole life for this is what customato and jimmy jacobs train this man for i believe he will be the youngest heavyweight champion of all time and remains dedicated interested and without any distractions i believe that eventually you'll go down in history as the greatest heavyweight champion because she's always talking about the situation you're saying you know if you really took a deep interest in it you will be champion of the world and you'll say with no problem you'll be changed there is electricity in the crowd i've got goosebumps on the line the wbc heavyweight championship of the world wow all right it would have been it would happen to any fighter because at this particular point i was throwing what can i say hydrogen bombs heavy punches with murderous intentions you talk about being on the stage on a moment and capturing that moment [Applause] this is round two the wbc heavyweight championship of the world trevor perfect and mike tyson that was the coming out that was the star going on broadway and saying i am a star look at me he's down he'll have to take the standing eight down as he absolutely destroyed him he knocked him all over the ring it was over in two rounds and at that time you thought this guy is going to be the champion for a decade or more tyson seized the title in spectacular fashion he goes down he should be able to get up from this his legs may be shut they are as trevor falls back as well mike is a boy prodigy he's 20 years old he is quite an incredible force in the heavyweight division but he's just a [Music] [Applause] devastating boy round mike tyson age 20 became the youngest heavyweight champion in boxing history his managers cornermen and friends ran to congratulate him tyson kissed jim jacobs [Applause] at 20 he was the youngest heavyweight champion in history if it wasn't for cuss this would nev this will never happen the idea i'm the youngest champ in the world the idea that it'll live forever the record i think will never be broken and it's what i can say he's probably up up there right now saying you did a lot of mistakes you did a lot of mistakes lynch was traded by the bills for the seattle seahawks will people remember how this guy ran the football or where they just go substance over style the methods of habib are not glamorous [Music] khabib comes in he's got five guys what the workout is gonna be is one by one khabib is gonna work out with each guy until each guy gives up [Music] my coach said the workout was 90 minutes the first guy was the most talented guy made it 20. watch how long it takes this camera guy to show us the round number perfect timing [Applause] [Music] habib's training turned him into a relentless pressure machine his grappling is literally on another level it's completely advanced when he grabs a hold of guys you see talented rappers guys along those lines just get dominated from the opening horn he attacks bringing his opponents to the ground then emptying their tanks [Music] ten eight rounds against different guys finishing different guys only losing one round taking fights on short notice taking on former world champions but man they're like a pedophile just relentless here and it's all technique mike i mean he's obviously very strong as well but his technique is stellar he's always in the correct position the biggest lead was 25 points at 28-3 with under two and a half left they go 91 yards here they'll have a chance to tie it edelman comes down with a football they're saying it's a catchy [Applause] that ever did [Applause] double-digit comebacks my name is wolverine was the dallas cowboys with two the pats have three in the last four seasons he's going for the kill buddy best ever best ever in my book he's not going for the field goal with gaskowski he's going to the fun zone no in between absolute money disgustingly sick the best there is what i do but what i do isn't very nice they have completed the greatest comeback in super bowl history led by the greatest quarterback tiring after at a certain point but somebody need to do something about it five titles since 2002 let's talk about the streak of 31 games that he had 32 in a row giannis has one game with 45 points harden has a left did you see him put the brakes on hard has more 50 point gains this year than larry burr and shaq in their entire career oh james hard stepping back [Applause] that's [Applause] texas too much sauce when we think about the legacy of muhammad ali what he did in the ring is not what we think about because he was doing gandhi outside of the ring and he could knock out anybody in the world the guy could hold court and the poorest of the poor right up to the white house when he walked in he lit up the room i mean he literally moved faster and lighter on his feet than most welterweights damn he was fast yeah look at this but the movement the side to side it was like there's no heavy weights that ever moved like that no fun like in 67 all right it's a vicious vicious game you would not lose another fight or nine years two hits of the gavel and that was it it was over connor's got ferocious power [Applause] his style was tactical aggression a relentless crowd-pleasing assault of unconventional kicks and precision targeting for your winner by tko victory from dublin of ireland that's my 10th mma win eight of those our first round tkos and kos all my wins if i knock out give me the belt give me the belt for the cwfc featherweight championship of the world from dublin ireland notorious conor mcgregor do you think you've really earned the shots at a bonafide world title and he answered back yes how many people do i need to knock out the main thing to succeed in this game is to either be me or fight me everything else is peanuts listen listen three rounds for the featherweight strap perfect timing conor mcgregor in the gray dave hill in the well mcgregor is going to be so fired up here i think you could probably hit him with a truck and he keep coming good head check one of the things i'm blessed with i have many shots in my arsenal i have many moves i can box i can keep i have many different weapons in my in my in my arsenal our lovely jumping switch knee from conor mcgregor the variations started moving to the back is this going to be his first ever submission victory [Applause] there it is it is all over notorious conor mcgregor is victorious here in cage warriors he wins a featherweight build some extreme scenes here in dublin as we are showered with celebration a fantastic footballer he is now the first irish-born fighter in mma history to win a world title in his hometown of dublin ireland [Applause] here we go this is one this is when legends are made paul first down [Applause] you know even though there was less than 30 seconds to go drew brees drives the saints down i mean of course that's the way the game's going to end big big hit put on case more pressure sheldon rankins came through so now we have 10 seconds to go peter it's like this is how this is going to happen again this is all another right here vikings have their own 39 it's third down here's keenan drop it off [Applause] touchdown unbelievable vikings [Applause] [Applause] so [Applause] this is the second carter calls a timeout mcgrady will make the pass mcgrady looking looking looking carter's gonna get a shot off in the year 2000 carter announced his arrival to the world in what would become arguably the greatest dunk contest performance ever this guy was doing stuff back in the day these kids still can't do to this day i really thought the top was going to come off of the building i have never seen that before here is the man that this crowd wants to see this is what everybody's been waiting for it's the climax of the night and we're going to see what vince carter can really do right here i was in another world i felt like mario just powered up to super mario [Applause] this building just exploded you dunk it and put your arm greatest junker ever was beth carter vince carter um i might have to go with vince carter also over michael that was a dream of mine a lifelong dream being in the dump camp test was a lifelong drink i wasn't afraid to fail it's over oh my goodness gracious it is over you remember the reactions of shadow kg whale i mean you talking about guys have seen dunk contest before seeing you don't it was just different surprising absolutely no one vince carter won you and vince you think you would have got it here no why i will enter into things i know i can win i [Applause] he's from just his tremendous amateur pet degree body punching has also been known to be devastated if you give golovkin an opening what we do know and what we've seen is that he is so heavy-handed known for his devastating knockouts in the rings golovkin comes to knock you out and so far as an amateur and as a pro he's almost always done it he boasts a knockout ratio of nearly 90 percent golovkin with five first-round knockouts in his career and that starts with the feet a lot of times when you see a puncher like golovkin everybody focuses on the upper body tiger woods has knee surgery how much time was he expected to miss i've been in a boot for my achilles i've been on crutches to take some pressure off the knee and my back of all his amazing usg performances that one probably has to be at the top given his physical condition tiger woods obviously arrives as the story because frankly the last time we saw him was at augusta national what are doctors saying scott this is his third surgery on the same knee questions remain about how he will perform says he'll do everything he can in order to be fit it was one tournament that he wanted to win more than any torn up wincing in pain after uh after multiple shots i mean he just looked forward to that time you know obviously um preceding the event when it got close to the time he was in poor health condition with his knee [Music] and just the drama that i think we saw especially saturday afternoon the back nine through sunday and of course the playoff on monday to make contact his right foot is slipping and i can hear the clutch in the knee in case you just tuned in now you're with us plus one with a double boat you know bogey and uh fire behind rocco i mean he was hitting it incredibly bad his knee and his leg were in poor shape and he just couldn't play he shared with me then that tiger had a basically a partially broken leg and a torn acl and i'm like mark how can he possibly play and he goes the us open means so much to tiger that he is going to absolutely give it a try [Applause] just really one of the more dramatic us opens in modern history [Applause] he can do some things in golf my oh my oh my watch this saturday afternoon it looked like he was leaking a little bit of oil on the back nine he makes two eagles and chips in for birdie on 17. there's no lead big enough when tiger woods is chasing you because he can just make shots when he's got second eagle on the back for tiger woods and he's in the position that he's been in that's put away 13 previous major championships rocco clinging to a one-shot lead and just kept hitting a remarkable shot after a remarkable shot and we all saw him wincing in pain because of his broken leg and torn acl he had trouble walking little players that's a pretty darn good shot i don't think he could have imagined it would come down to tiger with a putt to time and force an 18 hole play off he comes down that 70-second hole with torrey pines needing a birdie to force a playoff against rocco media set again for toddler woods in a major championship [Music] expect anything different [Applause] and wins a third us open championship a guy who is two victories away from beating sam sneads all-time win record and then he gets caught texting stack sticks danny came up here from california to kick some canadian ass and all you canadians don't like me now but you'll like me when i leave the ring i'm here to fight george of the jungle but he better watch out for that knee thomas denny came looking like shao khan from mortal kombat [Music] gsp handed him an old-fashioned beat down round one started training the martial arts at age seven to gsb you got george say pierre who is uh known for his uh shitsu abilities get over here he just muscles his way through anything because he's just such an incredible athlete it's not even funny [Applause] rush [Music] [Applause] when it comes to training george is all business he's not about being emotional he's about being strictly effective in the early years of mma there weren't many who had well-rounded training and so george was one of the first that started to have a bit of everything you were either a striker or a grappler some cross training was essential but fighters leaned into their strengths gsp's training was ahead of the game my name is pete's secret weapon spread unfortunately i should be at home with my family and friends on this holiday weekend but since i'm here i might as well finish some unfinished business with george saint pierre being the canadian champion didn't pay much fighters were contractually obligated to paint ads on their backs in order to draw additional revenue gsp was so strong he could latch on to opponents and end fights before they even began it was his quick assault style that earned him the nickname rush after just five professional fights gsp was called up to the big league compliments him but not a perfect team he carries this team rarely do players carry teams to wins much less championship you're not going to avoid the magic michael thing and we got out on him about 12 to 2 and i said i'm gonna i'm gonna really rattle his chain so i went over there tapped him on shoulder and said hey man if you don't turn in the air jordan we're gonna blow you out today jimmy his eyes got big you see that tongue coming right here now way out and he's looking at me [Applause] [Music] jordan scored the 46 that was the the one loss of the series [Applause] michael has a streak in him competitively that i've never seen in anyone before i think michael jordan had the perfect body it's long it's lean he can run yeah you pretty good job everything was perfect [Applause] michael jordan in 1991 came down on us with the right hand turn now he's switching mid-air to the left [Applause] [Applause] you should not talk trash to michael jordan antonio margarito had been busted using illegal hand wraps dipped in plaster of paris before a fight against shane mosely the plaster hardens upon contact with moisture forming a cement-like barrier around the hand margarito walked into the ring today at 165 pounds 17 pounds heavier than manny pacquiao much bigger guy than anybody pacquiao has ever fought for margarito was disgraced he'd beaten great fighters using concrete hands he was a cheater so it's okay to feel joy when watching what you're about to see you know about the giant screen overhead here in cowboys stadium the picture appeared you heard the roar and emmanuel stewart it's inevitable and the millions around the world who wish they could be here ladies and gentlemen let's get ready to run [Applause] a much bigger opponent his biggest opponent ever what what did it show you tonight with a big left hand and then flurries and backs margarito off again i didn't have them losing a single round all manny pacquiao the worldwide phenomena continues [Music] harold letterman is still given every round in the fight so far to manipulate and obviously the fight's not over but how good is he emanuel i think he's one of the best fighters i've ever saw at least what we call a natural [Music] the power the explosiveness he was a once-in-a-lifetime fighter a vicious beatdown of a guy who outweighed 17 pounds in the ring [Applause] [Music] margarito has a vicious beatdown to remember his fifth consecutive conquest of a significantly bigger man he was now an eight division champion eight belts in eight weight classes unparalleled unmatched unequivocally the greatest the game would go down as one of the wildest super bowls in history they benched him 21 in you are about to die at the hands of the children of thanos boom perfect timing by malcolm butler unreal butler was used as a shelter on that terrible storm in the fourth quarter they said we will keep something in reserve to show peyton manning something different let's see if they do that here i feel like we have fate and destiny on our side [Music] where the hell is the water for these people why can't sandwiches be dropped to those people that are in that superdome dome in the wake of the storm one of the worst on record a new storm has loomed in the form of how to rebuild and resettle the area and he's got another colts first down at the 36. they're motoring now we have the strength of not only a city and a community but i feel like an entire country we cannot stress enough the danger this hurricane poses to gulf coast communities urge all citizens to put their own safety and the safety of their families first by moving to safe ground it makes me oracle feel is alive and roaring as we get set for game seven the finals when he was down 3-1 to a 73-win team the all-time winningest team now three to three in the nba finals because of this historic run all season long do you feel like there's a legacy on the line oh yeah legacies on both sides you know no team in the history of the nba had come back from a 3-1 deficit [Applause] [Music] this is the kind of movement that can be overwhelming pass right through the hands of carrick james a two-handed slam green leading the break green pass stolen by james and morwen's all alone y'all must have forgot who i am yeah because he went at steph curry every chance he got left-handed james and the golden state warriors will go to the locker room with a seven-point lead here comes irving irving drives past green the foul every batman needs a robin oh and a sweet move from kyrie woodland fans haven't celebrated a championship in any major sport in 50 years [Applause] when golden state goes on one of those runs doing whatever it is that they do it might be too much for this cleveland cavaliers character-wise the only triple doubles in the history of the game seven of the finals were from jerry west and james worthy until tonight as lebron james with 26 10 and 11. at the moment of truth lebron james made the key defensive style irving drives hop step inside close it up misses rebound taken by iguodala bring a dollar to curry back to your goddamn oh blocked by james lebron james with a rejection coming back from a 3-1 deficit being the first team in nba history to do it in an nba finals winning back-to-back games at the oracle the comeback against the 73 win warriors is the greatest in nba history when you do the impossible and they did it it's over it's over cleveland is a city of champions once again believe in cleveland savor it soak it in the kid from akron has come home the cavaliers are nba champions and the impossible dream has come true [Applause] time to celebrate a title the curse destroyed 52 years of torment and anguish has been washed away adele he's a kickboxer from san luis obispo it was a brutal time for the sport where there was no consensus on how to train and fight put it mma let's chuck had a relentless come forward style so what round was it round four i think you saw more action in these four rounds than you sure value for money and floyd's whole career i'll just leave about that two undefeated champions the hatton fight sold out in less than an hour let's get ready for floyd mayweather versus ricky hat the crowd was almost entirely pro hatton [Applause] the rich powerful and famous all flocked to the event a diverse and star-studded celebrity group honey you think kfc is still open wesley snipes just on the other side of denzel here brad pitt and angelina the undefeated fighting pride of manchester england [Applause] hitman he was beating up popular good fighters and he was unpopular with most people actually blind aka money but they paid to see him lose and that was his stated strategy behind the scenes and then later on he admitted it floyd mayweather's on a completely different planet it was a clinic mayweather embarrassed happening [Music] k owing the undefeated fighter in the tenth round well he's one of the great pure boxers who ever lived [Music] he is never cheated himself he always was in condition he had no off nights [Applause] floyd mayweather is the best boxer in the world six-time world champion five different weight class 20 championship fights i fought the best from all over the world from de la hoya to ricky hatton and the list goes on and on i have nothing else to do nominations of cheers and catcalls definitely the favorite here as far as the crowd is concerned as ken norton as far as the odds are concerned it's george foreman the most menacing heavyweight of all time it would be george foreman i was going to be the best heavyweight that ever existed he is with ken norton and the reason for that of course is that he doesn't like george foreman one bit do you really believe ali it here man yeah the man went 24 rounds with me broke my jaw in the first round i was in shape and soccer fight in those days he was a bully the people around him were afraid of him foreman had really brutalized the people who trained him and they were terrified of him the hell he gave me as fast as i'm as accurate as i am i couldn't whoop ken norton i had beaten the best in joe frazier no doubt about it i had beaten the best people had something to say about that i said you know what i'm gonna kill one of these fellows then they'll shut up and it looks like norton has really been staggered foreman was a guy who destroyed frasier destroyed kenny north once again muhammad ali found himself in great demand the wbc and the wba mandated the fight the public certainly wanted it and the media clamored for it i think george foreman will knock muhammad ali out and it'll end muhammad ali's career all the boxes were scared handlers were scared the only person that didn't appear scared of foreman was ali the foreman that fought ali 40 you know 37 knockouts undefeat unbeatable guy's never going to lose everybody was scared about muhammad ali himself [Applause] have you bought many guys who were talkers in their ringing no i never get a chance to talk much [Music] by the time you get to know the fellas all over as for the fight itself discussion centered not on who would win but on how much punishment foreman would dish out time may have come to say goodbye to muhammad ali and now we understand that george foreman is about to make his way through the ring because very honestly i don't think he can beat george foreman cosell was convinced that ali is washed up [Applause] this guy was the closest thing to a human monster i i'd ever seen before he was certainly the scariest boxer look at this now as they stare muhammad ali beginning to talk to george bowman they're really putting the stare on each other i looked him in the eye to stare them down and said oh george you were in school when i was beating sunny listening in the past four years beyond two rounds in any fight [Music] he knew that the one weakness in this monster was thought of as unbeatable was his stamina the first round all of a sudden get off the ropes and he would just say shut up i know how to do it well i would say the realm was very evil and ali totally got into the guy's head and he didn't even realize it [Applause] it was muhammad ali's fertile mind this time he did it with character and he said i'm going to weather this stone road for dope there was something that was invented by muhammad ali that night i say i don't understand those tactics joe staying on the ropes and letting him it just shows you the power of intellect and intelligence and how that can compete against anything and believe me i was a big powerful giant in the ring with muhammad i mean the knockout artist he stood up to me foreman setting him up against [Music] i really did and really thought i had him beat up in the body had him tired continues to talk continue against george foreman he does away with his opponents one after another in less than three years george not going that type of distance a long time he was treading in water you know never been in before this is the furthest that george foreman has gone in a flight since 1972 this is the right hand ali is definitely confusing missing the shots that he missed it drained him nobody knew the strength of muhammad ali he was man landlord just like archie said grabbing him and he emptied the guy's tank i was afraid he was going to get killed by a george foreman that many of our young viewers don't know is i thought he was hurt i thought his body was hurt he came back he hit foreign because he loved them [Applause] yes i'd hate to predict in any fight but my goodness those people who said foreman would win in a flash have certainly been proved wrong in about the seventh round he asked me that all you got george that that was like a nightmare i couldn't believe it i just knew i was gonna knock him out in a few seconds after eight rounds down him laying on the canvas listening to a referee i was embarrassed [Applause] make it so
