the end of time as we know it is rather preaching the great battle armageddon is upon us how will this final chapter all play out in the final days of man answer is documented in the book of Revelation turn with me to the book of Revelation chapter 1 verse number 5 and from Jesus Christ who is the faithful witness and the first begotten of the Dead and the Prince of the kings of the earth unto him that loved distance from our sins in his own blood now as I said last week verse 5 gives us a very wonderful picture of Jesus Christ first of all he's the faithful witness secondly he's the first begotten of the Dead now that's as far as we got last week we had to stop right there in the middle because we ran out of time so that's where we're gonna pick it up notice that Jesus said he is the Prince of the kings of the earth but that's really a bad translation he is not the Prince he is the ruler the reak word there's our cone it means ruler over also he is the ruler of the king over all the kings of the earth you see the very first time that Christ came he came to redeem us he did not come to establish his kingdom here upon the earth that wasn't his purpose in coming the first time his purpose was to save us from our sin but the second time that he comes he will establish his kingdom here upon the earth and he is going to rule over all the kings of the earth now what's kind of interesting and we're going to get to that just in a little bit we're going to be those kings that he's going to rule over but he will rule with the rod of iron as the king of kings and Lord of lords now in the last part of verse 5 and into verse number 6 John becomes overwhelmed by this revelation of Jesus so he breaks into spontaneous praise and worship but in doing so he gives us great insight into what Christ has done for us look at the last part of verse 5 and we're gonna read into verse 6 unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood and hath made us kings and priests unto God and his father to him be glory and Dominion for ever and ever amen John was Pentecostal he had to Amen I want you notice that but notice it says that we are cleansed by his blood now I can remember being a child growing up in church and we would sing those songs about being washed in the blood of the Lamb and I always was confused because when I would cut myself and I would start bleeding my mom would say don't get that on your shirt you know you would hold that finger away or whatever because blood stains right and so I was always confused that we're going to be washed we're gonna be made whiter than snow by the blood of the Lamb because that just doesn't seem to make sense but here says we're cleansed by his blood but we need to understand that what he's really saying is we're washed from our sins by his sacrificial death you see blood represents Jesus Christ's sacrifice will death and let me explain why that is the problem is we have a New Testament mentality and not an Old Testament mentality and without understanding the Old Testament you really don't understand the New Testament so let me show you what I'm talking about in Leviticus chapter 17 verse number 11 God said the life of the body is in the blood I have given you the blood on the altar to purify you making you right with the Lord it is the blood given in exchange for a life that makes purification possible now let me read that again because I want you to catch this I'm only going to read the parts that I want you to see the life of the body is in the blood it is the blood given in exchange for a life that makes purification possible you see the life of the body is in the blood so blood represents life now when blood is poured out on the altar it represents a life being taken you see when we sin the punishment was what death the penalty of sin is death now God is a just God what does that mean it means that sin must be punished he cannot go and just purify you and say your sins are forgiven without being just so sin must be punished so a life is gonna have to be taken so when Jesus Christ came he had to give his life now the life of the flesh is in the blood so we're told that blood represents a life being taken it represents a sacrificial death so when we're told that we've been washed in our sins in his own blood it means we've been washed from our sin by his sacrificial death but it gets even better not only have we been washed from our sins but we've been made kings and priests that's what he tells us in verse 6 now it's priest what is our purpose as priests our purpose is to serve God as Kings we're going to rule with Christ on the earth during the Millennium now what we rule over is determined by how faithful we are or we were why we lived here upon the earth did we use our gifts our talents and abilities to serve God and to glorify Him were we good stewards on this earth did we put into practice the Word of God if so we're going to be rewarded if not we're not going to be rewarded and that's what Jesus taught in the parable of the talents turn with me if you would to Matthew chapter 25 verses 20 through 28 this is the parable of the talents notice what Jesus taught the man who had received the five talents brought the other five master he said you entrusted me with five talents see I've gained five more now notice what the master replies the master replied well done good and faithful servant you have been faithful with a few things I will put you in charge of many things come and share your masters happiness in other words you're going to get to rule with me is what he's saying come and share with me in my position I will always be king of kings and Lord of lords but come rule with me now let's move on the man with the two talents also came master he said you entrusted me with two talents see I've gained two more his master replied well done good and faithful servant you have been faithful with a few things I will put you in charge of many things come and share your masters happiness then the man who had received the one talent came master he said I knew that you are a hard and harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed so I was afraid and I went out and I hid your talent in the ground see here's what belongs to you his master replied you wicked lazy servant why would he say that because God has given us gifts talents abilities in other words he has invested in us and because he has invested in us he wants to return on his investment he expects you to use his gifts or your gifts your talents and your abilities to serve God and to glorify Him now what happens when you don't then God says that you're wicked not only are you wicked but you're also lazy now notice what else he says he's told him that you should have put my money on deposit with the banker so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest that's the least you could have done and notice this take the talent from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents now as I said before while John was writing all of this down he was so overcome by what Jesus has done for us and with who Jesus is that he just broke into spontaneous praise and worship notice what the last of verse success to him be glory and Dominion forever and ever and then he says something interesting amen now amen means surely or truly or so be it in fact writers would commonly use this word amen to reinforce or to emphasize what they had just written and that's what John is doing to him be glory and Dominion forever and ever amen in other words he's emphasizing this the glory and the Dominion of Jesus is going to be his for all of eternity the glory will always be his the Dominion will always be his and you need to understand that now verse seven introduces the theme of the book look at verse 7 behold he cometh with clouds and every eye shall see him and they also which pierced him and all Kindred's of the earth shall wail because of him even so here it is again amen now this is the bay theme of Revelation Jesus is coming back now people make no mistake about it Jesus is coming back and when he returns three things will happen and this first tells us what those three things are number one every eye shall see him now you know for a while that kind of threw me and the reason it did is because when Jesus comes back we know where he's going to appear what about the people on the other side of the world the scripture says every eye shall see him but what's kind of interesting is the world tells us what's going to happen in the skies and I believe it's gonna be so supernatural doesn't matter where you are it's gonna wake you up how many of you heard the Thunder the other night the electricity went off at our house woke us up and I'm telling you it was loud well I'm here to tell you when the supernatural happens in the skies when Jesus returns it doesn't matter where you are you're gonna know if something has happened Jesus has returned but not only that the Bible says that the Battle of Armageddon every nation is going to be coming against Israel now we noticed as we've seen the Gulf War and the Iraq war that the media is right there and it's amazing to see how even poor people begin to have TVs with satellites can you imagine the media being there and the Battle of Armageddon because they're gonna see Israel conquered but all of a sudden the sky it's going to light up every camera is going to be there you're gonna see it on TV every eye will see him the second thing that's going to happen is Israel will repent and be converted I want you to notice the phrase those who pierced him that phrase is a reference to Israel because they are the ones who are responsible for crucifying Jesus Christ now that is not an anti-semitic statement that is a biblical fact when I say that do you're always going to have someone that's gonna write me a nasty email God loves the Jews of course he does you're gonna find that out after the rapture when the church age ends God's focus is no longer on the church where will God's focus on the juice his chosen people God's promises to Abraham will be fulfilled but you need to understand something the Jews were responsible for the crucifixion of Jesus Christ that's a biblical fact look with me if you would in John the eighteenth chapter verse number 36 Jesus is before Pilate Jesus said My Kingdom is not of this world if it were My servants would fight to prevent my arrest by who the Jews it was the Jews that arrested Jesus it was the Jews who wanted to put him to death you know the Romans just kind of put up with as long as she don't cause a revolt as long as you're not causing problems in the streets then we're going to let you go but it was the Jews who arrested Jesus Christ now jump down to verse number 38 says what is truth Pilate asked with this he went out again with this he went out again to the Jews and said I find no basis for a charge against him in other words her Pilate is and because the scepter has been taken away from Israel what that means is they no longer can fulfill the death penalty they can no longer fulfill the law because the law the Mosaic law stated that there were certain crimes that were to be punished by death but what's interesting is the scepter had been taken away they no longer had that right to rule their people and to enforce the death penalty so now when they arrest to Jesus the best they could do is take them to the Roman government so here they take him to Pilate and Pilate says well I found nothing wrong with him why should i why should i punish him and he says one person is supposed to be loosed at this time the year and of course they want Barabbas they don't want Jesus they want Jesus to be crucified now I do want to say that this was the purpose for Jesus coming they were working in accordance with God's plan so I want you to understand that but let me show you one more verse for good measure this is a messianic prophecy look with me if you would in Zechariah chapter chapter 13 verse number 6 I just want you to see it was the Jews who were responsible for crucifying Christ that's not an anti Manek statement its fact but there's a reason this is important we're gonna see this in just a minute Zechariah 13 6 says and one shall say unto Him now this is a messianic prophecy so who's him Jesus the Messiah and once you'll say unto the Messiah what are these wounds and 9 hands then the Messiah shall answer those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends he came into his own in his own received him not so the phrase those who pierced him refers to the Jews to Israel they rejected Jesus as the Messiah now the question is will they ever believe the answer is yes but just like Thomas Israel must see before they believe and what John is telling us is they shall see and when they see Jesus and he comes back they will reap with grief and they will wail because they have rejected him as the Messiah and they crucified him now Revelation chapter 1 verse number 7 is quoting from Zechariah chapter 12 verses 9 through 11 so if you would turn with me there because this is a reference to the Battle of Armageddon now when will Jesus appear the Battle of Armageddon at the Battle of Armageddon all these nations are going to come against Israel and it's going to look like they're just going to wipe him off the plan of the off the planet and Jesus returns at that moment does he do anything he simply speaks the word and all the greatest armies of the world the battle is over because that's the power that he has now what's kind of interesting is this is talking about the Battle of Armageddon and it's talking about Israel so look at Zechariah chapter 12 verses 9 through 11 on that day what day the Battle of Armageddon I will set out to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem and I will pour out on the house of David in the happens to Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication on that day God is going to pour out a spirit of grace and supplication now let's go further they who is they Israel they will look on me the one they had pierced and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child and they will agree bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son that's what John was referring to that's verse number seven in Revelation chapter one and they that pierced him they will mourn why will they mourn because this is the Messiah they rejected and when Jesus comes back they thought they had bought all this time that they are serving God and when Jesus comes back they're going to see that the very God they thought they were serving they had rejected and there we go they're going to wail and they're going to mourn in grief over this now in the very next chapter chapter 13 verse number 1 it tells us that Israel at that time will repent and be saved turn to Zechariah chapter 13 verse number one on that day now what day is that the Battle of Armageddon the day that Jesus comes back a fountain will be open to the house of David and the inhabitant of Jerusalem to cleanse them from sin and impurity now I want you to notice it says a fountain will be opened what fountain is he talking about what did we just read in the preceding verse there's going to be a wat a spirit of grace and supplication the fountain that he's referring to is the spirit of grace and supplication that was just mentioned in chapter 12 verse number 10 that we just read he's going to pour out a spirit of grace over them and they're going to repent and they're going to be saved and God's promise to Abraham will be fulfilled if you've ever studied the book of Romans in the eleventh chapter Paul is dealing with the nation of Israel he wrote about this he saw what was going to take place he understood the book of Zechariah he knew what John knew look with me if you would in Romans chapter 11 verse 25 and 27 or through 27 I want you to understand this mystery to your brothers and sisters so that you will not feel proud about yourself so that's one of the things that has caused anti-semitism and let me just say this we as a nation better bless Israel we as a nation better be on their side the day we stop protecting Israel is the day that God stops blessing us that is his chosen people and you better understand that now Paul is writing to us the Gentiles he says now I don't want you to get too proud about yourself some of the people of Israel have hard hearts notice this this is the key but this will last only until the full number of Gentiles comes to Christ and so in other words after the fullness of the Gentiles all Israel will be saved as the scriptures say the one who rescues will come from Jerusalem and he will turn Israel away from ungodliness and this is my covenant with them that I will take away their sins but notice he said all Israel will be saved when on that day Jesus returns this nation who has a hard heart who has has rejected Jesus Christ on the day Jesus Christ returns they're going to see him for who he is they're going to realize this was the Messiah this was the Son of God that spirit of grace and supplication will come over them and all Israel will be saved that day now I'm not talking about in the past I'm talking about all of Israel at that time Wow but it's not going to happen until when Paul totus did you notice that some of the people of Israel have hard hearts but this will last only until the full number of Gentiles comes to Christ so this is not going to happen until the fullness of the Gentiles comes to pass now I want you to underline that clause full number of Gentiles comes to Christ in the last part of verse number 25 the King James Version and the new Americans refer to this as the fullness of the Gentiles now does everyone know what the phrase the fullness of the Gentiles means fullness of the Gentiles okay let's talk about this first of all let's not confuse the fullness of the Gentiles with the time of the Gentiles Christians have the tendency to do that how many have ever heard of the phrase the fullness of the Gentiles how many have never heard of it okay Paul writes about the fullness of the Gentiles how many never heard about the time of the Gentiles okay great you won't confuse the two in fact you're going to be ahead of the Christians who've heard of the two and have confused them so let me make a distinction between the fullness of the Gentiles and the time of the Gentiles all right the fullness of the Gentiles refers to all of the Gentiles who have become believers and are now part of the church generally speaking notice he said some of the Jews the reason he said some of the Jews actually the majority of the Jews have a hard heart they've rejected Jesus but he made this comment this has happened that the Gentiles might come in the fullness of the Gentiles so generally speaking the church is made up of who Jews know you see in the Bible there's only two classes of people there's only two different types of people what are those two types of people Jews and Gentiles if you're not a Jew you're a Gentile it doesn't matter if you're American if you're Chinese if you're Indian whatever it is you are a Gentile now the interesting thing is this church generally speaking is made up of Gentiles because the Jews as a whole have rejected Jesus so the fullness of the Gentiles refers to all of the Gentiles who have become believers and make up the church the fullness of the Gentiles began on the day of Pentecost and when will it end at the rapture at the rapture at that point the tribulation will begin now if you're pre-trib that's true if you're mid-trib you've already been in the troop you for three and a half years now if you'll notice on my chart we've got the rapture of the church happening before the tribulation starts I'm gonna go through this and show you a pre-trib rapture the majority of scholars believe that I hope and pray for that but I'm going to show you as we go through the pre-trib but when we get all the way over here to the seventh trumpet the mid-trib I'm going to show you why there is a possibility I hope and I pray that we don't have to do that but there is a possibility that the rapture might happen at mid-trip alright and I'm going to show both I'm going to teach it from a pre-trib position but I want you to understand something there is a reason why God is holding off on things so what the fullness of the Gentiles is is when the last person or in other words it's the time when the Gentiles have a chance to come into the church so when the last person who's going to accept Christ on their own freewill is saved the rapture is going to take place now people that gives a whole new meaning to 2nd Peter chapter 3 verse number 9 turn with me to 2nd Peter chapter 3 verse number 9 notice what it says the Lord is not slack concerning his promise as some count slackness but he's long-suffering towards us not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance what's he saying he wants everyone to be saved now as a general rule the Jews are hard-hearted and they've rejected the Messiah they don't even want to hear about it but who are receptive to the Gentiles this is the fullness of the Gentiles it's referring to all of these Gentiles who are going to come in now the interesting thing is when the last person is going to accept Christ with their own freewill is saved the rapture takes place and the fullness of the Gentiles is over at that time the focus is taken off of the church and the focus is on who the Jews that's why we're showing a pre-trib rapture what takes places when the rapture takes place this is the church age in fact we're going to look at the seven churches that this is written to we're going to go through and we're going to see there's a three-fold application for the seven churches and as we go through the churches once that rapture takes place the focus is no longer on the church because the church is gone people now I'm not saying that people won't be saved during the tribulation some people will be saved how do we know that well the Bible tells us 144,000 are gonna be saved what's interesting is we talk about the sealing 144,000 are going to be sealed do you see this right here in chapter 7 144,000 are going to be sealed what a sealed mean there's a greek word spreads oh how many of you remember that we're sealed by the Holy Spirit 144,000 are going to be saved and we're going to explain how all of this is going to take place but here's the interesting thing when the church is gone all of a sudden the focus is off of the church and the focus is now upon the Jews but that does not take place where is God pouring out his love and his blessings now his love and his blessing is being poured out upon his church the Gentiles Wow that's pretty good in fact I I'm glad that the focus is on us now as I said once the rapture takes place and the tribulation begins the blinders are going to come off of Israel 144,000 Jews will become believers and witnesses for Christ now you need to understand that doesn't mean that all of Israel will all of a sudden repent and be saved that is not what John is saying that's not going to happen until Christ returns when Christ returns all of Israel will be saved for they will see Jesus was the Messiah does that make sense now that's what Cariah chapter 12 verse number nine all the way up to chapter 13 verse 1 in Romans chapter 11 verses 25 through 27 is talking about now that's the fullness of the Gentiles let's talk about the times of the Gentiles or the time of the Gentiles Daniel talks about in fact the time the Gentiles is is all through Jesus talked about it we're gonna see that in just a second what is the time of the Gentiles what's something completely different it's not the same as the fullness of the Gentiles the time of the Gentiles is a Jewish phrase that denotes Gentile domination it began in 605 BC when Judah was carried into the Babylonian captivity and it's going to end only when Christ returns not at the rapture but at the end of the tribulation now during the time of the Gentiles the Jewish nation is subject to what Gentile domination now some of you might be saying oh wait a minute that's not true Israel is a sovereign nation let me tell you something the reason they're a sovereign nation is because they listen to America we tell Israel what they can and can't do we tell them how they're going to act and how they're going to react let me tell you why that's possible because this is the time of the Gentiles this is the time when the focus is upon us but more importantly this is the time of Gentile domination it began in the Babylonian captivity and it happened as a result of Israel's disobedience and that's going to stay that way all the way until Christ returns but because it's Gentile domination that's why it's referred to as the time of the Gentiles let me give you kind of an example here birthdays are big in our house except for my birthday's because I don't really care about birthdays but in our house we don't have a birthday we have a month of birth does that make sense a birth month is what you would say Macie kind of started that when she was little we had a party for and so after it was over did you have a good birthday sit that's it I didn't know that was my birthday well what did you want to do well I wanted to go to Tulsa so we went to Tulsa we bought her some stuff so did you have a good birthday well is that it I said well yes you want to go well I wanted to do this - so she stretched it out and it went probably what two or three weeks does that make sense and that became kind of a tradition now we don't just have a birthday we have a birth month and Myka took advantage of that and so now we just kind of have Macy and Micah's birth month and we just celebrate the whole month well what's kind of interesting is when we refer to its Macy time during during the month of June it's amazing time July I knew that let me leave the camera Maci I was just testing you it's Macy time August I got that right right August is my good time I'm a guy all right the only reason I'm able to get my wife's birthday is because it's four days after mine so when they celebrate my birthday it's like oh my gosh what I'm gonna do for Lisa okay but it's Macy time it's mica time now it's the same way with the time of the Gentiles because the Gentiles are dominating it was never meant to be that way if God would have been at the center of Israel's heart if they would have accepted the Messiah if they would have been there willing to do what God wanted I'm telling you they would have been a shining light to all of the world and it wouldn't have been a time of the Gentiles but it wasn't that way and because of the domination of Gentiles is now referred to as the time of the Gentiles does that make sense now Jesus mentioned this in the Book of Luke chapter 21 verse 24 let's look at this and they will fall by the edge of the sword and will be led captive into all the nations and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles until the time of the Gentiles be fulfilled now do you believe that the Jews want the Dome of the rock on the holy ground where the temple is supposed to be you better believe not they don't want the Dome of the rock up there in fact in their mind it's that holy place is being desecrated by the heathen but they can't do anything about it now what we're going to find out is when the Antichrist comes on the scene and he creates this peace treaty the tip was going to be rebuilt but you know what's interesting Ezekiel says the Dome of the rock will still be there and there will be a wall that separates the two and even God will talk about how they are desecrating holy land even God sees that now what Jesus is saying is that the Gentile domination is going to last until he returns now at that time the time the Gentiles is over you want to know why because who's going to rule now Jesus and what did John tell us to him be glory and Dominion in other words authority or power forever and ever to reinforce him to emphasize it all men when Jesus returns he is the king of kings and Lord of lords he will rule over all kings there will no longer be Gentile domination he will rule with the rod of iron if any nation gets out of line and will study that they're gonna have to answer to Jesus Christ there's a curse that will come upon the nation who does not bless and serve god that's amazing now that's the difference between the fullness of the Gentiles and the time of the Gentiles the time of the Gentiles will end when Jesus comes back all right now for number three remember I told you that three things will happen when Christ returns number one every eye shall see him number two Israel will see him and they will be converted and here's the last thing all nations not just Israel will mourn over him every nation will know that Jesus Christ is the Messiah every nation will know that Jesus Christ is the Lord and they will grieve over the fact that they have rejected him as their Messiah and what will take place every knee will bow every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord now Paul wrote about this to the Philippians turn with me if you would to the book of Philippians chapter 2 verses 9 and 11 therefore God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names but at the name of Jesus every knee should bow I noticed this in heaven and on earth and under the earth and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father now I want you to notice that it says in heaven and on earth and under the earth all those who are saved right now when we're raptured we'll gladly bow to the name of Jesus we'll gladly confess him as Lord in heaven those who are on earth when Christ returns they're going to wail they're gonna grieve if they're not destroyed but they're going to bow to Jesus and they're gonna confess that he is Lord and those under the earth the Damned they will bow to the name of Jesus they will confess that he is Lord at the great day of judgment right before they're thrown into the lake of fire now my prayer for you tonight is that if you haven't bowed your knee and you haven't confessed that Jesus is Lord that you will tonight because when you die is too late oh you will bow your knee you will confess that Jesus is Lord but you will be the one under the earth if you've heard my teaching that series I did on the moment you die when a Christian dies their spirit immediately goes to heaven but for a non-believer their spirit goes to hell and you need to understand that hell is not eternal state the lake of fire is hell is just a holding place for you and from the great day of judgment and on the great day of judgment because your name is not written in the book of life you will be thrown into the lake of fire the Bible tells us in the Book of Luke and one of the parables but at Hell actually has different degrees there are different levels of Hell based upon your knowledge of Jesus Christ and how much you rejected him so my prayer is you're not forced to bow your knee you're not forced to confess him as Lord you will do that on your own free will who knows you might be the last one that God is waiting for and the fullness of the Gentiles will be complete you see the reason the rapture is not taking place is because God is not slack concerning his promises he's just not willing that any should perish he's wanting everyone to come in but there's gonna come a time when that last one okay there's the last one that makes up the fullness fullness means completion when the completion of the Gentiles everyone that's going to be saved comes in the rapture takes place now look at verse number eight I am Alpha and Omega the beginning and the ending saith the LORD which is and which was which is to come the Almighty now of course we all know that Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet if you don't know Greek you know that right if you know Greek it goes kind of like this Alpha Beta Gamma Delta Epsilon Zeta add a theta o to capital M mu nu zai I'm a crown PI Rho Sigma Epsilon Phi side PI o got off my side Chi Omega I get that right anyways you have to kind of say it in like I have to do the ABCs you know when I'm looking up a word in the dictionary how many have to do this ABCD Yemen and o-p-s tu VD you know you havin to do that but I kind of have to do that with great but anyways even if you don't know Greek Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet and you know that but at the same time they can be used as a figure of speech and when they're used as a figure speech they summarize all of the other letters and John was actually using Alpha and Omega as a figure of speech it means the beginning the end and every sing in between now we have a similar fit similar figure speech that we use today how many ever made this comment well I know the material from A to Z anyone ever said that now did you mean you only knew the beginning in the end now I know in the beginning I know the you know everything in between I've studied at all I know it all ask me any question I know it from A to Z that's basically what Alpha and Omega means Christ is the Alpha and the Omega in other words he is the beginning he is the end and he is everything in between he is eternal just like the father now sometimes this doesn't click for us but we need to understand that Jesus was in the beginning with God look with me if you would in the book of Colossians chapter 1 verses 15 through 16 it says Christ is the visible image of the invisible God in other words what we taught on last week you want to know what God is like look at Jesus he is the visible image of the invisible God Wow he existed before anything was created not before earth was created he existed before angels were created he existed before anything was created and he is supreme over all of creation why supreme over all creation pastor Alan for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth he made the things we can see in the things we can't see such as Thrones kingdoms rulers and authorities in the unseen world in other words he created those things you can't even see with the microscope that's what Jesus did everything was created through him and for him so he was in the beginning with God even before all creation at the present time he's everything in between remember at the present time he is alive and he's sitting at the right hand of the Father look in Acts chapter 2 verse 32 and 33 God raised Jesus from the dead and we are all witnesses of this now he has exalted to the place of highest honor in heaven now notice this act God's right hand and the father as he had promised gave him the holy spirit to pour out upon us today just as you see in here today but right now he's sitting on God's right hand and he's the end he will consummate the end of the world and he will take us into eternity which we're going to see when we get to the 21st chapter of Revelation that's why John says he is the Lord Almighty now we need to understand that term almighty because that term cannot be correctly applied to human beings but we do it all the time we'll talk about well man that teams almighty or that persons almighty really that is a wrong application of the word Almighty you see Almighty is translated from the Greek word Penta corridor which means all-powerful if we get technical it is actually a compound word it's made up of two words as many of the prefix pan which means all and crack toss which means strength power or might now when you combine these two words together it means he is all-powerful he has all the strength it's kind of amazing because when Jesus comes down and he has his host of of army with him we kind of think oh my gosh phoo we haven't got the first 10 we're not in verse 9 yet are we we kind of think that man there's gonna be a battle because you know the Bloods gonna be so high and all of this no you missed out people how did he create the world he spoke it into existence we're gonna see that a sharp two-edged sword comes out of his mouth and that symbolism that John uses but the reason he says that is because a sharp two-edged means it does two things it creates and it destroys just by the word of his mouth he can create just by the word of his mouth he can destroy when he comes he sits down and everything's there and you got all these mighty weapons you know Reagan was going to create the Star Wars warfare do you remember that we had the Patriot missiles so if they shoot that up we can shoot it down I'm here to tell you all of that advanced weaponry is gonna come and it's gonna look like Israel doesn't have a chance and all of a sudden the sky's gonna light up Jesus is gonna be there and it's like what's this one guy gonna do he speaks since done it's gone it's over what do we get there it's gonna be so cool
