[Music] a few flight hours and also 747 400 and i'm just going to prepare the cockpit initial preparation of the cockpit monitor radar display go around windshear ahead when's your ahead windshear ahead was it oh yeah so my introduction i'm mr jean-marc bruce the brother of jean francois for somebody they know jim francois more than me so i've learned in united states as a commercial pilot then atp then flight instructor in the dallas and back in france and in france i started with the earlier jet 24 36 35 sorry for the morocco king then back to france i work for air literally on metro sw-2 and atr 42 then i've been employed by air liberty on mb 83 then i have dc8 73 series in air evasion and back to air liberty on my own md 83 back to after corsair on 747 as uh first officer during uh i don't remember it was about three or four years as flight officer then captain so i'm cut 10 on 7 4 for about 13 years about i flew 747 android series 200 series 300 series hp and 40. and now i'm like captain on the 747 for corsair until i don't know when and francis now 17 100 hours i've been working uh outside funds due to a lack of work in the 85 year and uh i joined luxaire where i flew 11 years with luxembourg airlines and uh 27 737 218 737 uh 345 android series then i joined the savina as captain on the 737 with a virgin carrier national inversion carrier i flew two years in a hour with savannah thereafter i had the opportunity to join corsair on the long range on this beautiful haircut the 747 it is already uh 11 years i'm working for corsair i flew all types except the 100 series and well i'm very pleased to fly with captain boosters today and try to exercise our art the best way we can and i miss something for me as francis said so i am in corsair from 1994 so i fly for corsair it's about 17 years it's a long period and my flying time on 7 4 is about uh it's close to 12 000 flying hours on 7 4. i'm ready for the briefing captain so so we stopped uh from charlie six he's here so we put back on the uh taxiway with q2 then taxi to uh 14.08 today we'll depart without any ice flaps 20 and the in case of engine total or something like that so we'll have to follow the center line okay until 1800 feet free flight checklist safety beams are removed oxygen sets 100 percent set immigration flight incidents set the okay so we have the final so you can see here it's lfpo that's a the other indication for a only runway zero eight condition y wind zero outsider temperature is plus one and the q and h feet 17 so we'll take off today with the flaps at the 20 position air conditioning three packs on and any ice no any ice engines maybe we'll need the apis after all after so here let's come flaps 20 runway 08 the takeoff weight today is 292 474 it's very very like empty then we have the epr 1.33 the assumed temperature 58 and v1 vr2 138 146 156 that's it for the moment please acknowledge accept yes yes okay yeah [Applause] v1138 vr146 and v2156 mcp v2 156 heading 0175 fly level one three zero seven the one from four rocks [Applause] okay so you can start to push back again and time is fact zero ready [Applause] pusher gt n1 [Applause] on the right thank you are you ready for briefing yeah work of flax 20 3138 v2156 erner vina legal one victor inflatable one three zero check stop stop over here today is right thanks the channel one adc then you can taxi the airplane have an advancement to yeah back with the passenger controller thank you i have control thank you we'll overfly the great of course of friends first then direct leading to newfoundlands and boston new york and marion we can expect fair results online and can get you around 20 minutes thanks for listening back with you you have control i have the control and i am ready [Music] jacob thank you okay now actually ready for the party is ready for a ring foreign v1 what okay [Music] wow okay fight uh paris kidzai climb level 240 until fleming golf lima maximum indicator speed and decline to nine zero knots okay we'll give the speed section up to level two four zero so for your information we are now limited in the altitude because there are many airplanes here there are two airplanes here that's the uh one is uh 1700 below our level this one is uh below about uh thousand feet and the other one are up to check the other one has 7 000 more than our altitude this one 17 and 47. that's the reason why we are now stopping at 300 for the level normally we can fly 340 directly and now we are direct to lissat with his english bond i think it was time to get rid of this speed limitation because we are getting higher now and it was time to request no speed limit anymore to be able to catch up our climb speed which is actually today 0.83 and around that's really 10 knots and so now we are free to do so and are climbing to good levels 330 340. we are going now to uh request our oceanic clearance actually uh 45 minutes to go and so let's prepare it [Applause] request oceanic clearance 942 entry point is somax that is exactly stomachs requesting mach 85 for the cruise which is according to our company flight plan and we are calling shanwick and we expect somax revised estimate at one three three five three five we did uh we have two we lost two minutes okay we lost we lost three minutes okay uh requesting we're actually three five zero which level do you request you should be okay uh we are three five request 36 [Applause] flight level yes and uh max which level [Applause] knocks 37 okay yep just to confirm page one and page two okay send it goes now we have the answer from the center from shanwick course here received a clearance request 15 minutes to wait print and just wait for the clearance now okay we are going to um we are now clear die course to gapley and the captain is showing inside gably at top of the line [Applause] it's going direct to gapi uh we check gapley and nav we are actually reaching the cruising level and we do the course check for the just event record to send the data to the uh our maintenance office in paisoli we check the systems engines there is not much electricity the system is normally configured automatically fuel we left with a quantity of 95 tons of fuel we are remaining 85 tons roughly we burnt 10 000 which is a normal figure for the climb out we have no fuel in the center tanks just the wings and the fuel system is configured so that stronger pumps are just feeding all the lines we are just interrupted in our demonstration where is the reception of the oceanic clearance so so i read it and you can check so i read some axe are you ready so max 50 20 50 30 west 50 north 40 west 59th feedly west kobeb yankee quebec x-ray uh sumacs at 1335 maintained for level three six zero max decimal 85 end of message accept yes that's accept and print we just go on ats confirmation and the ocd clearance confirmation is received so actually we have now received our clearance across the arsenic airspace and it is recording our flight plan so everybody is happy [Applause] uh just returning to the cause check after the fuel we talk about engine conditioning systems you can see the selectors which have been set up there we just feed the master temperature from the cockpit to 24 and this is the other part selection are made ultimate by the cabin the first welcoming attendance at the command panel on the main deck and our passengers are getting a nice temperature now our park system air conditioning park is working properly they are out of the eye flow position which is the position during the the climate and the configuration from the blitz from the engines is just normal then we check the hydraulics unlock system is also nothing to [Applause] just normal and of course our doors are closed and hopefully we did not warm up the brakes during takeoff we have been cleared by the control of shannon up to level 360 we have actually 1000 feet to climb if we check the vertical navigation page we are actually on the cruise at level 350 which is giving us cruising mark economic [Applause] 0.833 at this weight [Applause] we are able to climb the computer says you are able now and atc agrees and we are clear to climb we select level 360 over there and to activate the climb we just need to push here it goes then we get through strength then have speed which shows that we are going to have this cost which is chrome coming up and v fp speed shows that you are going to climb with a actual economic cruise climb speed up to level 360 and we notice that it's the speed is increasing of course at higher altitude the standard call is thousand to go to be alert that we are just concentrated on the what is going on and we are using climb first which is more or less full stress as you notice and here it goes we are approaching 360. it was wide squared and the aircraft is self-leveling off now is catching speed win of pass which indicates that the power is going back returning to a normal setting for the cruise which is selected by corsair fly on the climb [Applause] climb power available we are maintaining level 360 and v-nerf pass shows that recurrence to the fms we have now the actual closing altitude which has been set to 360. and our new economic speed is 0.841 of course i haven't before and we are just uh following the pass which is the the only profile that the computer is has been setting up that's it it's so easy to climb so during the cruise we we've reached the point where the fuel has been decreasing fuel quantity is decreasing normally and we've been reaching the magic finger which is around the 73.2 round well we can see that the reserved tongues are just fitting into the main tongues so remember before if you've we had fuel everywhere there nothing in the center and nothing just stopped down going down from 95 85 and now we are 73 this time is shows that there are less fuel in the main town and now it's time to feed the reserve into the main town you will notice that on any any reproduction of the aircraft after a while this will be empty and those those valves will be closed but we will go on with this valve and this pump for the scavenge pump which will be running until we get more or less nothing anymore in the center that's it wait for the next fuel setup which will come later on and which is called tong to engine it's very nice you see at this altitude to be in the cruise in the sun but just remind that remember that of the flight is uh success is gained on the ground at the flight preparation and uh just let's review hopefully uh what what is the file we are pilots are working on to prepare their flight successfully um by corsair fly this is the kind of documents we are receiving from our agents flight ops agents and this one was prepared by an sophie a very clever girl and so this is just the first cover is just a resume of what is going to uh to happen today we will fly with this aircraft foxtrot hotel lima oscar victor love and we have funny registrations by ghost airflow and we are going to miami and uh the fuel density will be uh well they all had four departure time at that time we expect passengers uh it's not much for the this low season 168 passengers uh the weight hopefully and there are the no terms just a condense of what things are going on on different airports from pais only to the destination with hot alternates and landing alternates whether we see that inside the road particularly the special walls where we are flying to crossing the oceanic the ocean on the track on what are the weight what are the limitations about the performance of the aircraft and so on and so on just uh if you look inside there is a company what we call a company file plan for fuel computations and just a recording of uh of the flight later on each pilot has a copy and this is my copy katniss is his own what you can find there is well the flight number which aircraft how many passengers the the version of the aircraft uh information about which altitude and mark we are creating but the wind had wind we have 25 and not not edwin today uh the distance cone distance is 4177 miles which is headwind that makes a air distance of 400 and 400 miles four thousand and forty miles uh we have the fuel combination computations that on the captain's decision we will just finalize and then uh recompute all the different weights each pilot has his own copy so the challenge of the day is just to bring this nice aircraft love from only to miami uh the statues of the aircraft was very minor little things just a static who is missing we are we are 68 and one missing is not much then after the statues of the aircraft what is the challenge 168 passengers and some cargo today and one ton and 500 kilos cargo so that is what we have to do and uh let's consider if we can do it and how we can do it let's look at the well about the carousel we have also some special dangerous goods that we can check which is also not uh they are not so dangerous today so how to to challenge that we will be looking at the weather and we will be looking also at the airports to see if there are any deficiencies on on the departing arriving airports and under alternates let's start with the weather prepared by our agents and here comes tough and meta the forecast and uh just uh in the role from paisoli we have a support point on the shannon uh also saint-germs when crossing the atlantic on the other way we will just go down to miami and we can notice that the weather in miami is quite good and nearly no wind maybe some clouds 10 kilometers few clouds 4 000 just nothing good weather alternate weather and so on and so on then if we see what is the wind during the route that is the wound which is filed we leave early crossing from the north to jersey uh leaving england on the south west point courtway and then crossing direct to canada thereafter joining the u.s airspace we will be following all the calls down to miami and the statistic wing will be is reported on this chart and we will notice that we are most probably encountering our 25 at uh not win during on this on this trip there are some more details along the us coast down to norfolk and just crossing dike to miami and this is the listing which is uh will be compared to the one uh which would which will be loaded in the database just before departure if you look at the charts typical aeronautical charts the tmc and we will be following this hood by soli this one this one crossing and all the way down america a selection of also wind at different level this one is for our average cruising level level three four zero and there we can detect also the wind component and the temperature at the altitude which will be flown many many shots we have been studied the weather is okay we can confirm the flight what about the airports are they equipped to receive our big jumbo most probably yes because the jimbo is not requesting much this is a very versatile aircraft and we are nicely equipped with gps we can do air nav approach and normally we will be able to land in miami especially today that there is just nothing special just follow the deal where the vor isn't serviceable but that should not be a major problem a good reading of all the north arms about airports about airspaces and everything has been underlined by the ops agents and controlled by ourselves so we can be able to land on the equipped airport and this is uh now let's talk about the route we are following the road is filed according to flight plan and we will be as i told you earlier crossing via truck and earth along the coast this hood this is called a plotting shot where during the flight we will report our positions then we will be filing also uh there has been filed a flight plan atc flight plan where we can see that it is filed for our aircraft good registration good while this aircraft is nicely equipped and uh leaving from paris to miami we are able for a air nerve approach in the u.s lvsm we can also have very low minima for bad weather operation automatic approach so the atc file plan is correct but also we have to check the clearance to cross oceanic airspace and this is issue just information about the different tracks which allow us to cross atlantic due to so much traffic many trucks just to cross the atlantic today we will be using the track echo which is this one and which propose a certain amount of level in our direction westbound and which message has a identification number that we would we should be able to confirm with the otc controller so we are welcomed by the atc what can we check more than that the coverage of the gps is available for our aircraft we are flying using gps navigation and inertial system on standby the gps are working properly the satellites are working properly for our flights no problem we can go and one thing also due to regulation is is the crew allowed to perform a long flight this is today a very good flight nine hours is not too much which we can go up to 12 hours and that case the regulation says uh watch it you should not be too late otherwise you are limited on duty time if you have a second stop for example not the case today you should not be also delayed otherwise maybe the crew is out of duty and then it would be a real problem for the captain that's it knowing all those informations the captain decide on the final fuel he can he will be ordering to perform the flight the most economically so is just checking the probability of eventually a diverse well the flight will be something else that what is planned and so today the captain is confident captain you are confident is always confident and he decided to take for this trip 95 tons we checked the rates that will allow us to make the takeoff competitions and that's it we can leave the operation with a good flight preparation are you seeing uh we are not alone over the oceans we are just a meeting of a colleague up there 3000 feet above but uh let's show you uh what happens when we are just crossing a waypoint and especially waypoints where we change from uh center we change the center today uh now we are coming to leave we are going to leave uh shanwick and switch over to gander in canadian airspace we were just automatically transferred from as you noticed atc com established with a recall message so that means let's look at it and uh that means that we were before logan to gatwick to shanwik sorry prepare to switch over to ganda and automatically the the transfer was done ordered by the controllers on the ground and we received the answer that means that we are just well received by gander about our satellite communication what is cooking next is that we are approaching this point and before calling atc and establishing the communication cost check through hf we're just going to make to confirm our routing after this waypoint we are just on navigating on the true heading over the atlantic and this heading is 266 true and we will be leaving the next point after five zero numbers three zero west leaving on the heading 274 degrees 2 which is just shown on the map there and of course i've you know you all know the great uh circle line holes we are north hemisphere so we'll be leaving on 274 but entering the next point on uh well two which will be roughly uh 268 also so let's check our position so we are coming over our five zero knows three zero wires going to five zeros for the west so we checked it is the pop-up point then we checked also that we are leaving on the heading 274 and the distance to which this point is 381 miles and that you can check also on our on our documents this point is check let's make a few a fuel check we passed at 66 tons and uh 6 16 or more or less no error and then we can report on our log that's 330 turkish foreign okay uh foreign thank you okay uh now you have the configuration on the fuel which is uh each tank feeds each and his own engine well number four tanks four engine number three times to number three engines and so on we are on the line all the different other uh tanks are now empty i will just keep a line pressure just to be able to crossfit if needed uh if we go on then is the passenger temperature everything is smooth everybody is feeling well hydraulic nothing changed and the doors of course are still closed let's have a look where are we now we are just bound to this intersection which is called uh mgi we are just changing scale we go to large scale that is a plane too much data uh i give you only the airports will be just like that will be much better so we have uh cost the atlantic and we are now at the position where we did all this trip after six flight hours we are just there now we just left uh the last halifax area halifax mountain and we are approaching boston from uh boston we will be uh just uh flying along the coast will be in new york 40 miles will be in boston 40 miles will be new york norfolk and thereafter crashing die course to miami so the flight time remaining is about 202 hours and uh 50 minutes down to the south america if we look at the shots it's uh we have this big chart gypsum no advertisement for jetson but it's very handy this is more difficult to look at for your camera your video cam we are just coming from there along to the coast we will cross just boston charleston norfolk and we go to miami and uh just uh what we can say now is that uh our your producer michelle seems to be in boston now so uh let's join me to say uh hello michelle salford five six seven boston one three five eight today thirty five eight south was five fishes get it attached boston [Applause] two two zero [Applause] 97 boston [Applause] boston one two eight seven five twenty eight seventy five foreign [Applause] washington center one two eight point six five one two eight six five miami or seven photos today good evening jackson america in 1766. okay 1982 480 click sure good answer american 57 contact miami center 119 or 28 to have today 1982 america 57 good day mommy centered in crosstalk now for two weeks and falls jojo for 9 42 miami good afternoon [Applause] crossing three nine or zero down three sixteen of course at nine forty two months in the afternoon before the arrival in miami so we're not so sure because it's different of the wind the wind is full enough and the runways are east to west normally on the 80s 80s message we have runway west high news so our arrival is through joey osaki and georgios exeter and we are live via highlight cairns and then for french people is like our president sarkozy [Laughter] the hidden circle and the wine so we'll have the last uh [Applause] [Music] altitude is three thousand that end on the circle then highness is three degrees it's like a normal standard and we'll have a speed of one three zero which is about 700 feet per minute down the uh msa north is 200 feet and south is 2900 feet the missed approach is climbing to 600 then right climbing right turn to 3 000 direct gh speeds that's dolphin viewer and all and we'll enter dolphin view hold by a teardrop right left okay the minimums are uh 208 that's an ils localizer when we're 27. okay so when we land if we don't have the runway 27 it could be 26 left is always the last altitude before this end is 3000 feet okay so normally is 27 we'll see that when we land here 27 it's here i hope we'll get out from the runway tango 2 tango one and after on sierra or tango event and we have to cross by a uniform so be careful maybe this always in use and normally we go just in front of us in uniform to probably usually it's close to foxtrot 21 like this that's uh uh no out that's nothing sorry nothing party but be careful there are to identify it's not so easy to identify the letters u v or sierra make many confusions here for ceo so we have to be aware of that so no hurry don't be or re so that you see let's just put hs2 hs4 will never go down yeah okay it's okay any question no so i've put it here 208 which is the ils minimums vlf-130 and we know that special in america the change between fly level and altitude is 18 000. and the restriction speed is under 10 000. of course it's 250. any questions are you okay with that yeah okay so start the uh decent checklist yeah i've [Applause] yeah so now you can start the decent checklist check automatic three running data minimums 280 brf130 minimum is 2807. this entity is complete thank you so i i missed in the briefing to say we have about three or four tons uh remaining more that we need so you can hold about uh yeah okay thank you thank you located at julius five zero request one engine one minute idle one foreign this is sit down complete thank you very much so we are now in miami and uh see you within about three four days back to paris on this not the same aircraft the same company but the same registration that the semicraft type with udo and with francis thank you cu to start the captain i would say welcome to miami and i hope you enjoyed this flight and but stay with us we have to return see you later [Applause] michael or mike mitchell hi jack and i john francois john mark thank you see you at twitter you
