[Music] hello [Music] amen so if you would go with me to romans chapter 5 verse 1 says therefore being justified by faith we have peace with god through our lord jesus christ now the peace with god is certainly different than the peace of god peace with god is the work of jesus christ on calvary where thy icon us just as if we have never sinned it is not that we did anything to merit it it's simply that when god looks through the blood of christ jesus we look white come let us reason together though your sins be as scarlet i will make them white as wool when he looks through the blood of christ jesus we look white when he looks around the blood with still skull i was flying to africa the other day with bishop jakes and a few others i was doing something there and i wanted to be unnoticed in the night as i was reaching for my dr dre headphones and i have this little red light that i look in the dark for things and it's interesting i just didn't want to you know everybody else trying to sleep you know that kind of stuff and and as i look through the red light and turn the headset on it has a little red light and the red light that i was looking at it through caused the other red light to look white when i removed the red light it was red the light didn't change the light was still red but when you look through red it looks white peace with god has nothing to do with anything that we do peace with god comes simply by the work of jesus christ on calve now the peace of god is a process through sanctification through the holy spirit which means i can truthfully say that all of us have peace with god but all of us have not yet achieved the peace of god that's a process all right so now he continues and he says by whom also that's by jesus christ our lord we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand and rejoice in the hope of the glory of god and not only so but we glory in tribulations also knowing that tribulation work at patience patience experience and experience hope and hope maketh not a shame because the love of god is shed abroad in our hearts by the holy ghost which is given unto us i would read a little bit of james uh chapter one beginning at verse two and it says my brethren counted all joy i'm trying to get there i don't think i got there yet when ye fall into diverse temptations knowing this that the trying of your faith work at patience but let patients have a perfect work that you may be perfect an entire wanting nothing if any of you lack wisdom let him ask of god that give it to all men liberally and upright if not and it shall be given him but let him ask in faith not wavering for he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed for letting not that man think that he shall receive anything of the lord a double-minded man is unstable in all his ways i'm concerned uh primarily about two words one patience and experience patience of course is from the greek word hupamoni and experience is from the greek word nakamaza that is to remain under until there is an approval i just want you to look at somebody like you're angry with them and tell them i've been approved now look at somebody like you love them and tell them i've been approved tell somebody else you've been approved now holla we are approved that's what i want to talk about the book of romans is regarded in some circles as paul's treatise or paul's presentation of the gospel and somebody asked the question how can it be defined as the treatise of the gospel or his presentation of the gospel and my sister is here somewhere thank you jennifer dinner and not have the signature or the character of matthew mark luke and john how is it that it can be defined as the gospel when it doesn't deal with the historicity of jesus it doesn't deal with the uniqueness of his birth the uniqueness of his life his teaching the uniqueness of his death burial and resurrection and yet still it is defined as paul's presentation of the gospel matthew mark luke and john show us and very definitely deal with christ's humanity and what they show us is that he lived in a particular time in history in a particular geographic location and that makes him human because all of us will adjourn in a particular time in a particular place and yet still jesus didn't go further than a hundred miles from where he was born but the uniqueness of his presentation leaves something out in the gospels when we see the gospels we get the historical presentation but we don't get the theological philosophy that surrounds what happened when he's adjourned and so it is paul now who breaks us into the philosophical theology that surrounds the sanctification propitiation redemption adoption and of course justification we don't see that but we don't get those definitions in matthew mark luke and john so paul's presentation of the gospel goes behind the scenes of the historical presentation and gives us the philosophical so that we believe jesus to get in here but we know him to stay it's one thing to believe him based on the record it's another thing to have the theology that gives you the strength to hold on in difficult times he opens up in chapter one and what paul does in chapter one is he turns one barrel of the shotgun against mankind in general and what he says is that when man should have received and been grateful he refused to retain god in his own knowledge and because he refuses to retain god in his own knowledge god says all right you want to put me on trial then i tell you what i'll do i'll give you a mind that can't try anything oh oh yes i told you a while ago when people are sinful it's not just because they're criminal it's because they're crazy because god gave a mind that was triulus because man decided that he wanted to put god on trial to see whether or not he wanted to deal with him do i have just a little time i have a little time it's critical here because man chose not to retain god within the parameters of his own thinking and that of course is because of free will god gave free will and to give free will what god has to do is reduce his omnipotence to allow the creature in his space to have any choices that god himself [Music] might or might not like uh it's a critical piece because he puts the man he he lowers yes he lessens his omnipotence allows the man to make choices and he puts himself on the shelf to see whether or not the man would choose him now notice now how in theology is called divine self-effacement where god reduces himself to the point where he will allow the creature the right or to choose him if the creature is not allowed to put him up for choice then he does not have free will because free will must also include the creature's ability to choose or not to choose the creator but you cannot not choose the creator and expect things to go on as if you did because if god is not a part of your choices then what you have done is just eliminated the substratum of all of your intellectual capacity and ability anytime you refuse to choose god things can't follow you as if god is with you ah something's pushing me here you know i can do that anytime i do that anytime that's not the anointing that's just me all right so don't worry about it it's it's a critical piece here because uh what man does is man wants to enjoy the freedom to choose and if he chooses and god is not a part of the choice then god does not have to send any extra chastening the man will automatically be chastened by his own choices i don't get your chastening and you don't get my chastening because my chastening is predicated on what i choose to do now when man chose not to have god and retain god in his mind what happens now is that his mind becomes so triulous that he can't even understand the significance of the opposite sex when a man is running his hand through the hair of another man and running his hand down the back of another man and running his hand down the legs of another man he's not criminal he's just [Applause] because he chose not to retain god in his knowledge god gave him over to a mind that cannot figure out what to do ah can i can i read now we want the choices we we want the choices but we we don't want the consequence of our choices we want to choose uh now now now because god because he he decrees or because he divinely self-effaced as it relates to his omnipotence he did not reduce his arm initiates which means that he knows what we're going to choose before we choose it but if every time we chose something that he didn't approve of and he interfered then we would not have free will free will necessitates that i can choose whatever i want to choose but the problem is i have to live with the consequences now we use that against god we do it all the time and we say something like you know well lord if you knew that man was going to treat me like he did you should have never let me choose him lord you know if that woman was going to treat me like that you should have never let me choose her how could you let me make that choice well when mama told you to leave the man alone that was god when your best friends told you to leave the man alone that was god when the woman he was with told you you don't need him that was god and when the man himself said now baby you don't need to mess with me uh that was god but you had to have him and so now you got to leave i wish somebody to help me uh chapter number two he turns the second barrel of the shotgun against the jewish people he said now you had the pentateuch you had the torah you have the law you had the pillar of cloud by day the pillar of fire by night and you wouldn't serve god by chapter number three he proves that all have sinned and come short of the glory of god in chapter four he picks up with justification and he points out that we cannot justify ourselves no more than abraham can have a child at a hundred and sarah at 90. just as that is a double impossibility so it is that you and i cannot justify ourselves because indeed and in fact our trial-less mind was so reprobate that we didn't even choose to come to god independent of him drawing us we're here because we were chosen in him before the foundation of the world and we could make that choice unless he first saw or dragged us it would seem then that according to the issue of justification and that's where we're going now that it would be an easy ride and it would be just you know we just slip right in and just make it through without any difficulties but the truth of the matter is that god has to raise us to bring us from what we used to be and how we used to think to the way that he wants us to think you see we were processed and we were socialized in a negative environment and our proclivity and tendency is to operate within the parameters of the environment that we were socialized in i mean the first words that god spoke to abraham he said to abraham he said one i want you to leave your father's house i want you to leave the place of your birth i want you to leave your country i want you to leave your land essentially not in that order he started would leave your land it was um it was karl marx that said that land ownership is the substratum of wealth and stability and god said to abraham i want you to leave your land i don't want you when you walk with me to associate anything material as your strength for being with me i want you to leave your land then he said to him i want you to leave the place of your birth it's spinoza who said that we are the poor what our pool is the genetic pool we draw from is what we become and what god is saying now i want to socialize you differently because of the blood of jesus i don't care what's running in your blood when i run in your blood you're going to be different than what your mama's mama's mama's father's father's father used to be then he said i want you to leave your father's house because sigmund freud said we are no better than the way we were developed in our early childhood and so what god is saying now is i need you to change your mind set and that's why there is a process to bring us from one level of life to the next level and it all begins with the transformation of our mind i want to bless you i want to take you to another level but you have to be able to make the leap from the way you were socialized the way you were brought up and where i want to take you you've got to be able to move from the halt the lame the crippled the blind into a space that i want to take you and so the question then becomes will thou be made whole and the answer is i'm about to heal somebody in here but i'm only going to heal one somebody by this pool i don't want to waste my healing so i want to know are you ready to take the step from the way that you were socialized the way that you were brought up from the way that you were manipulated and orchestrated by those who were around you are you ready now to make the quantum leap to be where i would have you to go and in order for that to happen you just can't walk in and walk straight into the mindset that god would have you to have and so he points out now that there is a relationship between tribulation and the stability of the christians walk and that's why i borrowed james a little bit because what james is saying is that there is a relationship between tribulation and the stability of a child of god's walk if i don't have to face any tribulation then i will not develop as an individual but in a love relationship where there is tribulation it oftentimes questions my credulity and my credibility and veracity as it relates to my god he loves me and if he loves me then why do i have to go through anything why should i have to face difficulties of life because anytime we think about love we think about being protected we think about being covered in a manner where we don't have to go through anything i mean if you love me why would you allow me any kind of pain at all but it seems here as if there's a proper way to handle trials and there is an improper way to handle trials and i speak this everywhere because it's important for us to understand particularly with the economic situation in our country that we have to handle trials properly the proper way to handle trials as james put it to us in verses 2 through 4 is count it all joy when you enter into diver's temptations now he's dealing with temptations and he calls it divers and what that simply means from the greek is it's variegated it's round trials it's square trials it's rectangular trials it's it's it's polka dot trials it's paisley trials and and it's not something that you thought through you're not always the initiator of what you have to go through sometimes you got to go through stuff just because you were in somebody else's space and you had to deal with the collateral damage of the way they operated and next thing you know you are in a storm over who you are with sometimes people put you through hell just because they want to and some people do it through carelessness and some people do it through their own malicious disposition and attitude sometimes you have been put through trials just because of the home you were born in you didn't determine who your parents were and before you know it you're being developed socially in a psychologically debilitated arena that affects your life later because you just came up in the wrong home and you had nothing to do with it he said the proper way to handle that is to count it all joy and the reason you counted all joy is because your maturity level has taken you out of the situation into the results of the situation in other words i'm looking at an horrific situation but i have projected my spirit out of the situation into a place of revelation as to what this situation is going to make out of me i'm not going to have the same kind of mechanism that did the choosing that got me into trouble because i've entered into diverse temptations and i've been whipped enough to know that i don't need to rush into making any decision about anything that's going to be life effective because of the temptations and the trials i have faced i've learned to slow down and make sure that i've included god in the process of my decision making and so he says count it all joy because it's building your character i have allowed it to come into your space so that i can make you strong enough not to be in a hurry about anything but rather to be cool enough to know that if god is not in it then i don't want to be a part of it anyway i wish i knew that years ago because i wouldn't have stumped my toes and i wouldn't have lost my mind had i understood that the trials around me are not there to destroy me but rather to make me better oh god no no you can't just take my time because i'm not going to be too long it's critical now because i never saw the association between double mindedness and trials i never understood that if any man lack wisdom let him ask god he's saying that you cannot not walk with god positively because you're going through some stuff right now he says now you've got to have enough wisdom to understand that what it is you're going through is being orchestrated manipulated and controlled by god it is god forming you in the middle of something you regard as negative and sometimes god has to push you to the very edge of your mind in order for you to change your mind i don't know about you but you say you see sometimes i walk outside of the principles of god and when you walk outside of the principles then you need miracles can i can i say it another way the more you walk in principle the less you need miracle the problem we need so many miracles is because we don't walk according to principle and can i take it further the only time i am nervous about my enemies is when i'm not walking according to principle because if i'm walking according to principle there is nothing my enemies can do with me oh yes yes yes yes because when i'm walking according to principle if my enemy gets into the hedge that's because god has ordained a situation for revelation uh can i can i say that again when i'm walking into principle the enemy can't get to me uh you see it was as much a miracle for job to get in trouble as it was for us to get out of trouble why because job is walking in principle and as long as he's walking in principle it will take a miracle for the enemy to get in the miracle was that god removed the hedge and he removed the hedge in order to give job a revelatory experience that he couldn't have had if he was sequestered in the hedge let me put another way i can can i work just a minute uh-huh we gonna shout after a while but i got to work i got to have something to shout about now jesus jesus jesus is a friend of lazarus he's a friend of martha and he's a friend of mary and their friends and john in chapter 11 allow me the digression uh in chapter 11 expense the first six verses trying to show us just how close jesus was to this family and yet still when they were sick and the word was sent to jesus uh he just didn't go you know can i talk a little bit uh pastors let me talk pastors now now most of us who who have churches of of of god smiled on us we got a few members we generally have a staff of ministers who go to visit the sick and you know they go to visit the sick and i look at it as uh here i am the body of an octopus and all of the people who serve with me are my tentacles and so you send somebody over to visit one of your members and they go over there and they first thing they ask is and did they pass to call you come on man the reason i sent you over there is to represent me now why are you going over there starting some stuff asking the sick that i call you are my phone call you you represent my visit you know how it is when people don't respond when leaders don't respond when people are sick that's why martha said if you hadn't been here my brother would not have died wrong wrong wrong i have allowed the enemy in the hedge because i only give revelation to my friends i don't give revelation to my enemies i only give revelation to my friends and i chose you so that i might reveal to the world that i am the resurrection and the life he that believeth on me though he were dead yet shall he live and he that liveth and believeth on me shall never die so i had to create a situation in order to give you a revelation he created a situation for revelation and called the jehovah jaira he created a situation for revelation and call it jehovah rophica he created a situation for revelation and called it jehovah rava he created a situation for revelation and called the jehovah's sycamore and he's creating a situation for revelation in your life and he says when i create the situation count it all joy because i'm getting ready to take you to another level i feel like preaching i'm gonna tell you touch your neighbor seven times that's it uh i'm not borrowing one yet uh the trials then must be approached with joy based on the realization of what the trial is going to make you you want to be anointed but you're not just go rub on somebody that's anointed and end up anointed you're gonna have to go through something you're gonna have to be broken a few times just just just broken and just broken if i break you twice you can only feed two people if i break your three times you can touch three if i break you 40 times you can touch 40. well some of us had to be broken a few thousand times in our lives so that we might touch people of all sizes of all types of all kinds so when i'm being broken i must give god praise because he doesn't break until he blesses he has to bless you so you can take the breaking so he can distribute you to many different people so instead of complaining while you're going through he says count it all joy i feel like it's preaching here uh where am i patrick all right good uh it's it's critical here because it leads to patience uh y'all sit down y'all so now we got work to do and at least and patience completes us it takes the edge off of being in a hurry about anything so that's now why he says we glory in tribulations also because satan you're bringing it on thinking you're going to destroy me but what you're going to end up doing is making me better i will not be bitter but i will be better and that's why i give god praise for all of my enemies because my enemies get me blessed my enemies help to move me to the next level my enemies help to uncover the weaknesses that i have so that god can fortify the weaknesses because of my cognitive involvement in the move of god oh god give god thanks for your enemies your enemies just help you to find out who ought to be in your space and who ought to be eliminated from your space that's what tribulation does all trials do is help me to distinguish who is who in my space and now you need to be reduced you need to be increased you need to be moved over there you need to go over there when i was going through something you left me to go through by myself you were with me on the mount of transfiguration but you couldn't hang with me in gethsemane now you were there when it was time for praise but you didn't know when i lost my house you know when i bought it when we had the party but you didn't know when i lost it oh i didn't know you were going through all that all tribulation does is help you to figure out who needs to be around you and who needs to be gone that's all it does it helps you to figure out who your friends are and who your enemies are you know sometimes you have people around you that really get envious when you're blessed uh as long as you're complaining about what's going on in your life oh let's go to lunch but let somebody call you and ask you how you doing oh i'm doing fine all right see you later you want to go to lunch when i'm hurting but you see me later when i'm doing all right i wish somebody to help me here oh god it's critical because he says i want you now to glory uh catch your mind and it really means to glory on account of a thing that is exalt because of something because god moves you to next levels in very scandalous scandalization from the greek where paul says the preaching of the gospel is scandal often dare in the latin a very offensive where jesus says blessed is a man who is not offended in me and it's easy to get offended when your expectation and your experience don't come together that's when you go double-minded because i'm expecting something but i'm experiencing something else the prophet should have told us that we were going to experience financial decline in america and because we didn't get the right word we were not equipped to handle having to downsize i wish somebody'd help me but the truth of the matter is the tribulation will prove whether you're real or your memoryx i may lose my house but i'm not going to lose my mind i may lose my job but i'm not going to lose in my mind because i don't need my mind for the next job because you lose a man don't mean you ought to lose your mind because you're going to need your mind for the next man because i lost a woman don't mean i'm going to lose my mind and i got news for you give somebody high five for the first time and say neighbor never say you have lost everything because a child of god cannot lose everything as long as i got god i'm ahead of myself y'all sit down y'all sit down uh i i gotta remember where i am uh it's it's it's your glory in the thing you got a glory in in a and they exalt him because you know where it's going notice how god operates he chooses joseph and he says to joseph what i need you to do is i want to make you second man in egypt and i want to make you second man in egypt and the question is why because of egypt no i want to make you second man in egypt because i want you to cover israel well who is israel israel are sons of jacob well who are the sons of jacob joseph's brothers but what did joseph's brothers do sold him as a slave after contemplating killing him now his assignment is to cover his brothers but his brothers sold him into slavery now if joseph couldn't understand the significance of the tribulation it would have made him bitter and not better had he been bitter he would have blown his assignment because he would have used his power to destroy the brothers that sold him into slavery and we should understand it but instead he looks at his brothers from a lofty position that they helped to create because had they not treated him like that he wouldn't have been where he became so now he looks at them and instead of being angry he simply says you meant it for evil but god meant it for good so i'm not gonna sit here and let my enemies feel like i'm dead the devil is alive come on devil do what you want because at the end of the day god's gonna use everything you throw at me to make me what he wants me to be i feel something pushing me here when you understand this the article here in tribulation uh you know sit down we work a little bit uh uh it's coming uh pressing together it's it's oppressing together it's an oppression it's an affliction it's distress and the article suggests and the article yes suggests that this is natural uh peter helps us with that when he says think it not strange don't think it foreign don't think it's outside of the operation of god when you're going through something it's god ordained because when he's not working on things around you he's working on you and at the end of the day it's not what you have it's who you are i am who i am in a bentley but i am who i am on a bicycle i am who i am in a brioni suit but i am who i am in a jogging suit you see god will use the things in order to make me what he wants me to be because at the end of the day he's not coming back from my house he's coming back for me and if he's got to take losing my house in order to make me what he wants me to be then he'll do just that i feel it here and when i know how i'm coming out and i know how much better i'll be i praise god for the new me that the trials and the tribulations are bringing there is always a separation between my anointing and my appointing and i've got to learn how to operate wisely when i am the anointed one but somebody else is appointed david learned how to be the second man in a first position you've got to understand how to navigate when you are under even though you've been anointed to be over don't lose your mind while you're under because you have been anointed to be over i feel something give somebody high five number two and said neighbor act wisely give god praise while you're going through it because you know where it's coming out at the end of the day this will not kill me this will make me better and i'm praising god already for what he's going to use me to do after i come through this trial i'm praising them for the revelation i already have after i come through what the devil thinks is going to destroy can i take it further oh god i feel i feel something coming on now then he says this and i quote he said it does not simply mean when we are in tribulations but also because we are so the tribulation becomes the ground of glorying unquote now here's where the holy ghost kicks in because my next level the exaltation is not in the tribulation themselves but the beneficial nature that comes out of them it's because god has chastened me and now i'm seeing the effects of the chastening and that is i've learned how to call on him better i've learned how to feel his presence better i've learned how to in all thy ways acknowledge him and he will direct my path i've learned how to stay before him because his power now moves in a greater way and i understand that there is a certain anointing that comes when i'm going through something that i can't find when i'm not i wish somebody would understand me there's a level of comfort and consolation that he brings into my spirit when i'm going through a horrendous circumstance and i love it so much until i'm crying out to him lord what else do i have to go through so that i can feel your presence in a way i felt it when everything was going crazy on the outside lord what else do i have to go through that will increase my worship that i can lift up and enjoy your name even though i'm flat broke i'm enjoying you with a wealth that's coming out of the depth of my soul and i'm reaching for you in a manner that i've never reached to you before so i'm praising him for the condition i'm praising him for the situation because i'm not walking by situation i'm walking by revelation that no matter how rough it is i'm coming out with a mighty hand oh yeah so now it produces something then and the writer says what it accomplishes is hopamone and hopamone is a steadfastness it's a constancy it's an endurance one of the etymologists put it like this and i quote the characteristic of a man who is unswerved from his deliberate purpose and his loyalty to faith and piety even by the greatest sufferings can i preach like i feel it my brother was up here earlier and i heard him preaching in the midst of a painful situation and as he was preaching i noted that he didn't swerve from his purpose but he held on to the truth of god even though he was going through losing his mother can i talk to you a little bit you've got to learn to stay focused in light of your calling and whatever your purpose is you got to let the devil know i might be hurting but i'm still focused i might be talked about but i'm still focused i might be mistreated but that ain't gonna stop nothing i might be looked at as i'm least but that ain't gonna stop me cause i know my purpose and i know my destiny and it doesn't matter what you throw at me i'm still going to be here doing the will of god i might be crying but i'm still moving i might be hurting but i'm still praising i might be down and out but i made up my mind that i'm going to hold on to the purpose that god has placed in my life we might as well have church come on pat i'm tired of lecturing i feel like having just a little church give somebody high five for the third time and say hope money you got to remain under if it's causing you to get closer to the lord don't try to jump out of it just stay there till god gets through with his work don't run from it don't run out of it just hold on to the lord begins to move you to the next level give some money high five for the fourth time and said neighbor you can't go back to egypt you've got to keep going forward you've got to keep moving to the next level you can't go back to egypt you gotta get by bitter water you gotta get by the amalekites at refedeem you gotta get by everybody at jordan you got to keep moving through a high you gotta get through till you get to the river and you can't turn back i don't care how rough it is in front of y'all that's where you got to go so you can't keep crying every time you run into a situation that i want to go back to egypt ain't nothing back there god's taking you from slavery and he's moving you to ownership and if it remains hopamone i'm going to stay in this wilderness till god brings me to the promised land i'd rather be free with trials than to be somebody's slave making bricks i feel like preaching in here touch some money beside you i said keep going forward because you've got to get over these hurdles in order to become all that god has called you to be so i got to hope omoney i got to stay under it i know folks don't like the new direction but you got to hope i'm only you got to stay there with it until you overcome every opposition in your spirit i feel something pushing me right about now and hopamoney turns to documental and i might as well close this out because i feel church coming on i feel something getting ready to happen up in this house give somebody high five for the second to the last time and said neighbor i've got to hang in there i got to hold on because i feel the next level is about to take place i'm one pain away from my victory i'm one care away from my deliverance i'm one heartache away from being who god has called me to be i'm one i'm one just one can i preach like i feel it now hopeomone leads to documental and dr marzo means to go through a checked the oil then they put it back together they drove it back through the desert check the oil check and see the wear and tear on the order then they made some adjustments put it back together put it in a wind tunnel had the wind blow over it put some dummies in it and crashed it then put some dummies in it and let something crash it against the side then they tore it down put it back together then they put it back in and ran the test again well i'm just coming to tell you that i've been tore down i've been driven in the rain driven in the snow then the lord pulled me down checked my out made some adjustments that he put me back in the wind tunnel had some dummies crash me on both sides then he pulled me back down put me back together then he set me up then he put me in the snow ran me in the rain then i crashed then he pulled me back down then he put a stamp approved i feel like preaching in here somebody how i have been approved so i've been approved for another level been approved for a fresh anointing i've been approved for a bigger church i've been approved for a bigger walk i've been approved because for the last time said neighbor i stayed there when others would have left i cried when i was gonna walk down i could have left a long time ago but i stayed there and i took it i praised him when i was down i praise him when i was hurt i praise him when other people wouldn't praise him i lift him up even when i'm sick so devil eat your heart out i've been uprooted i feel like preaching in here i feel like lifting him up can i take a limit off of what i calling of god is without repentance you don't have to take it back because when he gave it he knew everything what you did did not surprise god he knew it before he gave you the gift so now just get over it you've been abused and talked about enough get over it that's part of the penalty of but now it's behind you get up get back in your ministry get back in your purpose and i promise you you'll be better now because of that than you were before it happened touch somebody tenderly the bible says what's of the things we bind on earth abound in heaven whatever we loose on earth is loose in heaven he was talking about the gospel i want to accommodate the text and use it for prayer squeeze one hand by the name of jesus i bind doubt about discouragement i bind low self-esteem i bind every negative thought ayah every negative thought every i can't make it procrastinating postponing spirit right now i come against it i come against it in the mighty hand in the name of jesus i buying right now i bind whisperers i bind a pine i find the broken heart in the name of jesus i find it right now i'm buying manipulation i come against that spirit now i find the spirit of failure in the name of jesus now squeeze the other hand i lose joy i lose a fresh anointing i lose the next level thinking i lose right now financial prosperity i lose it in the name of jesus i lose creative ideas creative thoughts are creative songs new messages new sermons new everything right now in the name of jesus and i claim it done i claim it done i receive my approval i receive my certificate i receive it in the name of jesus and i'm ready to move out move up move up and get it done in jesus name i'm going home to do it i'm going home to accomplish it i'm going home to reach it i'm going home to declare it i'm going home to move in it and i speak it right now somebody loose your hands give god a celebration celebrate your approval celebrate your renewal celebrate your rejuvenation celebrate your anointing celebrate your wisdom celebrate your creativity somebody ought to celebrate who you are in christ jesus give him thanks give him praise [Applause] i want you to go with me for a few minutes i was going one way uh and then you know i remember the old time preacher would say the lord changed his thought as if as if the lord didn't know what he wanted him to do before the foundation of the world it's the preacher who didn't know what the lord wanted and so i think i caught up now go with me to daniel chapter 3 and i won't keep you long uh you know some messages you can get into and and find a way out of quickly uh others you get stuck you just gotta go all the way in daniel chapter three of course we all know the story very well of nebuchadnezzar and the king of course made an image of gold and i'll read very quickly whose height was three score cubits and the breath three score thereof six cubits and he set it up in the plane of dua in the province of babylon this is daniel chapter three and of course the king he sent to gather together the princes of governors the captains the judges the treasury as the councillors the sheriffs and all the rulers of the provinces to come to the dedication of the image which nebuchadnezzar the king had set up then the princes of course they repeat all of them they gathered together unto the dedication verse three of the image at nebuchadnezzar the king accent up and they stood before the image that the king had set up and then and herald cried aloud to you it has commanded all people nations and languages that at the time you hear the sound of the cornet flute harp sac but sultry due summer and all kinds of music you fall down and worship the golden image that the nebuchadnezzar the king had set up and who so there's always you know there's always something and whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace therefore at the time when you hear of course the sound of the cornet flew to haarp sac but sultry and all kinds of music all the people the nations and the languages fell down worshipped the golden image that nebuchadnezzar the king had set up uh wherefore at that time certain chaldeans came there and accused the jews they spake and said to the king nebuchadnezzar o king live forever thou o king has made a decree that every man that shall hear the sound of the cornet flute harp sack but sultry do summer and all kinds of music shall fall down and worship the golden image and whoso has not done to worship it that he would be cast into the midst of burning fiery furnace there are certain jews whom thou has set up now and i imagine they emphasize who thou has set up over the affairs of the province of babylon chad raj meshech and abednego these men o king have not regarded thee they serve not thy gods nor worship the golden image which thou has set up the nebuchadnezzar in his rage notice now rage and fury commanded to bring shadrach meshach and abednego and then they brought these men before the king nebuchadnezzar speaking to said unto them is it true oh shadrach meshach and abednego do you not ye serve my gods now notice now he separates his gods from the golden image nor worship the golden image which i have set up now if he be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornered flute heart sack but sultry inducible and all kinds of music you fall down and worship the image which i have made well but if you worship not ye shall be cast this same hour in the midst of a burning fire furnace and who is that gaul that shall deliver you out of my hands shadrach meshach and abednego answered and said unto the king oh nebuchadnezzar we are not careful we're not careful at all to answer you concerning this matter if it be so our god whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fire of furnace and he will deliver us out of thine hand o king but if not be it known unto thee o king that we will not serve thy gods nor worship the golden image which thou has set up now notice 19 then was nebuchadnezzar full of fury and the form of his visage was changed against shadrach meshach and abednego he commanded the furnace to be heated seven times harder than it was he got all his mighty men and told them to throw them in the fire and of course the mighty men died outside the fire and the boys were alive in the fire and he looked in the fire and he was astonished in verse 24 and rose up in haste and spake and said unto his counselors did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire they answered and said unto the king true king he answered and said lo i see four men loose walking in the midst of the fire and they have no hurt and the form of the forth and the real interpretation should be is like one of the gods like the son of god look at somebody with all the ebullies you can muster and tell them i'm not built to break when you consider and i i think i should consider nebuchadnezzar first because nebuchadnezzar believe it or not ones a very narcissistic egomaniacal tyrant he was extremely have you ever seen anyone who is really sold on themselves and it's interesting that he [Music] conquered nineveh a city that was claimed never to be conquered at the age of 17. he conquered nineveh at the age of 17 and he conquered them with fifty thousand men who the historians called scythians the scythians were regarded as the fiercest group of human beings who had ever lived at the time and they were so mean and so cruel that when they conquer people they would tie the foreign soldiers to their chariots and they'd pull them apart running the chariots in four different directions and nebuchadnezzar controlled them not with any sort of council not with any kind of government nebuchadnezzar controlled them by the fierceness of his own personality and character he controlled these men uh by the age of 25 he was world ruler he conquered and he controlled the world by the age of 25. can you imagine having a narcissistic egomaniacal tyrannical person who controls the world at the age of 25. now i don't mind being around people with power if they're mature enough to handle it and my mother's here just wave your hand mom it's good to see you and uh it's all right to be around people who have great power as long as they have balance it's like giving your child power over you and over everything around you when they aren't mature enough to be able to handle it nebuchadnezzar was the kind of fellow that you just didn't play with because you didn't know where he was at any given time he may choose to put an image up of himself and the image according to history was not of one of his gods but the image was an image of himself and the three hebrew boys obviously they confronted him in a very powerful manner and they stood up against him in a way that showed they believed in god i'm going in here very easy because i want you to understand that it is difficult to grasp that they could have had any faith at all particularly with what they had been through and let me argue from another point of view whenever you see any kind of battle in the old testament you will understand that the battle is actually a battle of gods it's the battle of gods because each nation went before their god before they went into battle and it was assumed then that the god who was most proficient the god who was most powerful would give them the victory in battle the interesting thing here is that god jehovah has never had an image of himself put up he would not allow an image of himself because any image of himself would have to be garnished by our sensual perception god has always allowed himself to be outside of our sensual perception which means that none of us have seen him we have not smelled him and when the bible says oh taste and see that the lord is good he's not speaking about tasting him literally but rather it's metaphorically to indulge yourself in the things of god and wonder how great he can be you i have never heard him audibly i've heard people said the lord spoke to me but he has never called my name audibly i have never heard him say noel noel i need to talk to you i i haven't quite had that privilege and i have not touched him with my hands because he leaves himself outside of our sensual perception whereas the other nations they were able to form gods and they drew their gods and they had their gods in visibility and of course uh my god cannot be brought within the parameters of sensual perception because how do you form the shape of an omnipresent god i mean what shape would you have of him it was always a battle of gods because each nation would go to their god and the children of israel's difficulty was that he would not allow himself within the parameters of sensual perception i think i like that because what he does is when he takes himself outside of our sensual perception then he has to speak to us on a spiritual level that means that the relationship with god cannot be cognitive it can't be intellectual really it's got to be spiritual and it's where his spirit speaks to my spirit over the bridge of faith and then he lets my spirit talk to my mind can i go over that again i'm going i'm with the bishop tonight so i'm going to talk to this group you see because of sensual perception sensual perception limits you to whatever your senses can garnish but when he takes himself outside of your sensible perception what he's saying essentially is that the relationship that i want to have with you is not cognitive or intellectual but the relationship that i want to have with you is very spiritual in order to grasp this even further we think a little bit about the holy spirit that maketh intercession with groanings that cannot be uttered a groaning that cannot be uttered is not a it's not um if it can't be uttered there is no sound at all which means that god is making deposits in your spirit that you are not cognitively aware of he spoke to elijah if i may go further and he spoke to elijah in a steel small voice and please tell me if you will what is a still small voice it is a voice that you're not picking up audibly but rather it's going to your spirit see god has left himself outside of our sensual perception so that he might deal with us deeply in our spirits and then he lets our spirits talk to our minds about an assurance that is not intellectually deduced it is not cognitively achieved because it's something that is just in your spirit i feel something happening already now it's interesting because somebody's holding out on me and the fact is how can you have peace which passeth all understanding if your relationship with god is simply intellectual because if the peace he gives you has to be a spiritual peace that your mind cannot even conceive of why you are so peaceful according to everything that you have cognitively deducted you should be one mess right now but because he has made a deposit in your spirit and he has spoken to your spirit you have an assurance that you cannot even explain ah somebody's still holding out on me uh i think i'll take it further there were two boys in their mother's womb there were two boys in two separate wombs uh one's name was john and the other was jesus the two boys were unconscious in their mother's womb i know jesus is god but he was not reading the jerusalem tribune in his mother's womb if he's human at all he is unconscious in his mother's war the two mothers came together i think it's mary who went out into the country to visit elizabeth and the two boys were in their mother's womb separated by two thin layers of cutaneous tissue and yet still when the mothers came together the bible said that john lept in his mother's womb because he was in the presence of jesus to show you how spiritual it is the man john the boy is unconscious in his mother's womb yet even in his unconscious state he receives revelation of who jesus is and indeed and in fact he receives the holy spirit without saying hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah jesus jesus jesus jesus now years later the conscious john sends word to jesus oh god i wonder do you get it the unconscious john had no doubt about who jesus was yet the conscious john sends messages and ask are you the one or should we look for another and i just rose to tell you don't ever let your mind talk you out of your revelation it was a battle of gods you see it was a battle of gods and notice if you will that the three hebrew boys uh hannah and i and the three hebrew boys had on been on a steady decline it was not that they had just walked into babylon and they were standing as real i say advocates or ambassadors from israel if you notice the decline you will find first of all that they were defeated by nebuchadnezzar because israel couldn't actually be defeated by anybody if they walked according to the principles of god i am not afraid of my enemies when i'm walking in principle uh-huh you got haters everywhere but i'm not afraid of my haters when i'm walking in principle it's when i'm walking outside of the principles of god that i have to worry about the rumors and about who is going to bring me down because as long as i'm walking within the parameters of the principles of god then i don't have to worry about what anybody has to say because it's the principle that protects i don't want to be too hell to skelter here but jesus said to his disciples he says obey my commandments and abide in my love because as long as you're walking within the confines of my commandments then no weapon formed against you can prosper the enemy can only get you when you're walking outside of the principles of god uh many of us say well we have angels to protect us well what is an angel an angel is a messenger it is not the angel that protects you as much as the message that the angel brings because if you walk within the parameters of the principle it doesn't matter how many haters are around you and i'll just give you this one if you don't have any haters you're not that gifted [Applause] and it's significant peace here and it's very important because israel would not walk according to the principles of god the lord raised up nations to chasten them to bring them back within the confines of his work he would raise up nations and because everybody thought it was a battle of gods then they thought that jehovah had lost his power if you look through isaiah you see often where he tells them i am god and beside me there is no other if you think that you're being defeated because some other god is greater than me you're making a mistake i'm the one who's whooping you through them i raise them up and i take them down because if you walk according to my principles you never have to worry about any i want you to see the extent of the spirituality and the connection of the spirit that these fellows had with god now first of all they have lost the battle and secondly they are taken out of their homeland they are the most pristine and the most significant of all of the fellows in israel because nebuchadnezzar made sure that he collected the most pristine the most physical pulchritudinous magnanimous splendor he made sure that they had no blemish that they were intellectually alert and astute enough to understand his astrology and to learn everything that was significant to his nation he took the best of the best the creme of the crab i mean he took the fellas who were just everything now not only had they lost the battle they lost their place not only did they lose their place they also lost all of the treasures that belonged to the temple not only did they lose their place lose the treasures lose the battle he took him over and he made eunuchs out of them uh-huh yes he did indeed can you imagine now i'm serving god and i'm on a downhill slide i'm on a downhill slide where we have lost the battle we have lost all of our precious and all of our sacred stuff we have lost our place and now we have lost our manhood with all of the beauty and the wonder of who we are we will never produce an offspring because nebuchadnezzar has made eunuchs out of all of us now can you imagine where faith could possibly come from when they have been losing from the day that they lost their battle all the way to this day and yet they had the unmitigated gall and audacity to say to the king we are not going to bow i feel it here i just got a few minutes to go i promise i will not keep you long when you understand that the percentual perception is always against faith because what you have is sight against faith and every child of god has to deal with the reality of your environment the things that you see and the reality of the things that you don't see the greeks when they talked about fear they talked about fear from the word phobos and it means flight and anytime you see phobia of any kind that's the root the etymological root word is phobos and it means flight that which causes one to be scared it's something that introduces terror and and and the terror generally comes from your sensual perception from what you see around you for what you hear and and then of course they added another word to it and this word is delia this is not something that comes necessarily from the outside this is just an attitude that an individual has you can raise two children and one's very bold and the other is just timid just timid by nature not timid by circumstances just nature some people are just timid just scared to do everything some people are just shy it's the word that paul deals with when he talks about timothy and timothy he wants him to be bold and he doesn't want him to be timid he wants him to be able to partake of the affliction of the gospel and so it's not just an act now the delia speaks more of a spirit it's the kind of way that you are now can you imagine being timid by nature and then being scared by circumstance you know i'm already timid please for god's sake don't bring anything around me that's going to be scary because my genetics already lead me to be timid now there should be a certain amount of caution in everybody's life because caution helps you to assess circumstances and teaches you how to position yourself but when it comes to being in a situation that you have absolutely no control over then you have to be able to trust uh i'm here to tell you for those of us who trust the least we want to control the most because if i can control it then i don't have to trust it uh-huh you know that's why he gave you a beeper that's why he gave you all of those machines so that and he's already timed how long it takes to go to the grocery store and get back it ought to be 15 minutes over 15 minutes back i'll give her two or three minutes for the groceries and uh to get in and out of the car and after that i'm calling because the more you can control the less you have to trust trust comes when you're in a situation where you don't have any control it's either you're going to trust or lose your mind i feel something happening i'm i'm coming i'm almost there it's critical because now the word for caution to the greeks then became reverence and godly fear and the whole idea is if i'm going to fear anybody i need to fear god who can put both body and soul into hell fire i don't need to fear anybody less than god because god is the only one who has total charge over everything so even though i'm on a downhill slide i'm not connected to god through my sensual perception i'm connected to god through my spirit which means you can mess with everything i can sensually perceive but you can't break my spirit uh i feel it here uh let me go to the text very quickly i just want to talk a little about the hebrew the hebrew word for fear is per heart and it's a very strong verb of fearing with the emphasis on the immediacy of the object of fear in other words you're doing fine until something shows up that sets you off to the point where you even begin to tremble it's a strong emotion of fear i don't know have you ever been there but i've been there in my life where i was just about having a panic attack anybody familiar with panic attack it's the kind of place where you can't find any peace it's the kind of place where you think you're going to lose it at any minute and generally it has been stimulated by something that's external that's trying to become internal it's trying to break into where you see satan just doesn't want you to have experiences without leaving a mark what he wants you to do is go through something that leaves you psychologically debilitated so that the next opportunity for you to make a move you're so caught up in the past with the things you have failed in that you will not take a step that is guided by the spirit of god oh he wants to break you down have i told you touch your neighbor yet or it's coming just hold on uh it's a critical piece because now it's the object that causes fear that allows the subject to tremble and the whole point is to intimidate and and break you down to feel as if you cannot stand in the midst of what's about to happen the lord said to the judges in israel he said fear not the face of men don't let any social position or any adversary in any litigation intimidate you and sway you from your judgment if you know this thing is right then stand to it the next hebrew word was one that is to pursue or cast down it it's a word that talks about driving and the enemy wants to drive you and again we're talking about external stuff we're talking about horrific people horrific situations that are designed for the outward display to generate an inward breakdown how long are you going to be there with all of your talent and allow some little chip that's missing to keep to keep you from being all that you can be when are you going to get over what you didn't achieve yesterday for what you can achieve tomorrow when are you going to allow yourself to be released from satanic control over your mind because you are already gifted but what satan wants to do is use your sensual perception to cause your environment to control your thinking what god wants to do is allow your faith in his spirit and word to talk to your mind to tell your mind that you're not driven from the outside but you're driven from the inside and when you stand up with what's inside what's outside has got to bow down oh i feel something helping ah just give me give me just a few more minutes and i'll be through you see now faith on the other hand is the substance of things hoped for it is actually the hypostasis of things hoped for it is the holocaust of things not seen so what we have now is we have substance and we have assurance or conviction it's something when you can have a conviction that has nothing to do with your sensual perception i'm looking at a horrific situation but i am convicted that this situation does not determine where i go it is not my circumstance that controls me but rather it is my faith in the mighty god uh can i take it another way moulton and mulligan when they look at the word hopostasis they regard it as a title deed and what it says essentially is that this is a title for what i have hoped for in god i buy properties all over the place in fact i just bought some way over in some island and i haven't seen it yet and somebody said well how do you know you have it i say because i have the title i don't have to see the land in order for me to declare it's mine because i have the title uh milton and milligan says that faith is the title of the things that you have believed god for yeah can i preach just a minute uh uh uh for for 45 years caleb had the title he had never walked in the land but he had the title now touch somebody for the first time and tell them i'm entitled uh for everything i believe god for i'm entitled i'm entitled to be more than i am because i've been restricted by fear because of my circumstance but now that i've connected to god and i believe god i am entitled to the things that i have believed him for i'm not going to keep you too much longer i feel it coming on when i looked at the text and i understood this that there are some unseen realities and what i need is internal evidence of ownership and this is what i call assurance it brings us then to the new testament word pistes and this is a firm persuasion or a conviction of something that i believe if you don't believe it who will uh if you can't stand up for what you believe who will you have to stand up on it and you don't need a committee to become what god would have you to be i feel it now all right just keep me right there uh it's important to understand why god has left himself outside of our perception our sensual perception and i'm glad he did because no one of us can dictate to the other one of us how we conceptualize our god i don't have to have your concept of god i am free to have my own concept of god because he's left himself outside of my sensual perception you can't draw a picture of my god and i know that we're in the same church but each one of us have an idiotic sacred concept of god it's idiot it's completely distinctive because i can't believe god the way you do and you can't believe god the way i do because it's idiosyncratic it's mine and i see him where you don't see him and you conceptualize him where i don't that's why we fellowship because it takes all of us to put together the complete picture of the mighty god if you choose to make him small that's your business but you cannot impose a small god on me because i choose to make him big and that's what i want him to be oh i feel something happening in here oh god i feel it just uh give me just a few more minutes it's true now then that fear has an object but faith has an object also and you've got to decide is your god bigger than what you're looking at is your god bigger than nebuchadnezzar because even on the down he'll slide from being the pristine princes of israel to becoming eunuchs losing even their manhood they still had the nerve to stand before the king and say first of all knowledge says he's able but faith says he will but commitment says if he don't even do it we're still not going to bow i'm almost there i feel something give somebody a high five say he's almost there it's a critical piece here now because i used to simply think that that faith on the one hand said that he is able and faith says he will of course knowledge says he's able but he's sovereign which means that he's god he may or he may not the issue is we're still not going to bow i can't lose if i die because if i can't live for what i would die for then my life is not worth living so i can't lose if i die and i sure can't lose if he delivers me the only way i can lose is if i bow and that's and that's not what i'm going to do i can't lose if he brings me out and i can't lose if i die believing but if i bow then you have got the advantage over me so king let me just tell you i am not going to bow which means you can't win if you kill me you can't win if you leave me alive you can't win because i am not built to break uh i feel something happening here uh take my house if you want take my car if you want walk out on me if you choose turn your back on me if you want to but that's not going to break me because i'm not built to break i feel the holy ghost here i just come to tell you there's been trying times and these have been hard times particularly for us who walk in the kingdom of god because for 25 years we have heard nothing but health wealth and prosperity for 25 years we have given in every offering and by now all of us should be millionaires the word is that more of us are losing our minds than any other time in the history of the african-american race and we're losing our minds over things i feel like preaching now but please tell me can you frighten lazarus with death he already died before and i don't know why you're losing your mind over being broke you've been broke before [Music] i feel i am in just a little church i feel like having a little church give somebody high five and say neighbor i'm not built to break i've got too much anointing to fall apart i've got too much of the word in me to let the devil cause me to think that i'm gonna lose my mind i'm not gonna lose my mind over losing a house because i'm gonna need my mind to decorate the next one i'm not gonna lose my mind over losing a man because i'm gonna need my mind to be good to the next one i'm not gonna lose my mind over losing a woman because i'm gonna lose my mind to make sure the other one is all right give somebody high five say i'm not losing my mind cause i wasn't built to break if i was going to break i'd have broken a long time ago because i've been to hell and back and i'm still here lifting up the name of the lord if i were going to break i would have broke when satan had my house twisted and turned upside down but i found out through the test and the trial there's something on the inside that no matter how low i get it bounces back thought i was gonna walk out but my anchor holds and grips the solid rocker i'm not built to break in the middle of the storm because the reason the house is still standing is not because of the storm the storm may blow the winds may come but the reason the house is still standing is because it's built on the right foundation shake somebody's hand for the third time and said neighbor i've been built on the right foundation i've been build gonna heat the fire hot and we're gonna cast you into the fiery furnace that was separate see i i assume that delivering them from the fiery furnace was the first two because nebuchadnezzar said i'm gonna put you in the furnace and who is that god that'll deliver you out of my head which makes now for a separate issue because the first issue now is to be delivered out of the fire the second is to be delivered out of his hand you see see you can have a boss who is seeking to fire you and she tries in january and fails she tries in february and failed so even though you've been delivered from the incident you're still not delivered out of her hand because she's still the boss [Applause] he will deliver us out of your hand now when daniel was in the lion's den god spoke to him but he didn't show up when israel was coming out of egypt god delivered them but he didn't lead the charge so why is he in the fire see he's in the fire not to deliver them from the burning fiery furnace because they were already delivered from that when they were put in there and walking around what he showed up to do we over here in crenshaw district this is crenshaw and we used to be over on uh on hoover now we got a little more sophistication we went out to gardena but but you all know when somebody's being punked [Applause] yes yes yes and he goes because now he says i see a fourth one and the fourth one looks like one of the gods you were punking my boys outside the fire now i'm getting ready to punch you inside the fire and what i'm saying to you nebuchadnezzar is touch my boys again mess with them again mess with them again if you feel like it understand who you dealing with you ain't dealing just with these boys you dealing with me and nebuchadnezzar swore that day that they would worship no other god because he is the most god's getting ready not only to take you out the situation but deliver you out of there [Music] oh shake somebody's head now you're gonna shake it off and before but pray after pray that the eyes of your understanding be enlightened that you may know three things and the third is the exceeding greatness of his power to us what who believe a friend of mine said something to me in one of my most gloomy times he said to me he said no who's in there thinking with you psychologist miami he said he said ain't nobody up here thinking but you you're the one doing the thinking in here so whatever you allow yourself to think is either going to break you or strengthen you who's thinking in there every negative thing that's been suggested you don't have to think on it nobody's controlling your thought mechanism but you so so what's everything's a pure honest good report think on the things that strengthen you sometimes you gotta eliminate to elevate and you got some people around you that just got to go they got to go father you said to us whichever things we bind on earth are bound in heaven let's say things we loose on earth or loose in heaven you gave us that authority squeeze one hand i find out a bind low self-esteem a buying depression a bind discouragement i find every negative thought that would flow through my brother my sister right now i bind worry and anxiety i come against that spirit right now i come against it with everything that the holy ghost has to give in the name of jesus i find it now i find shortsightedness i bind procrastination get up shake yourself move move while it's day for the night cometh when no man shall work this is your season and i squeeze the other hand i loose power i loose anointing i lose creativity i loose direction revelation i lose everything you are right now in the name of jesus somebody loose your hands and give god the praise give god the prayers give him the praise i will not
