thanks for being here bill thank you congratulations on the gig you know a lot of times it takes somebody a new cast member while to pop on that show you kind of pumped right away because you did an Al Pacino impression yeah and everybody in our office was talking about it you know on Monday they're like that guy that's especially funny where did you study a lot of Pacino's films to get him down how did you come to that impression oh no I watched him on the his acceptance speech money Emmys for angels in America watching that he was kind of like just totally into like the peripheral and like weird things did you do Pacino for your Senate live audition yeah yeah I did Pacino is how we're interviewing his new maid staff it was like all new maids the honey is like giving them instructions yeah it was like it was like if I walk into this kitchen and I see a cantaloupe on that table [Music] [Applause] [Laughter] you know about you is that you were you know a lot of people talk about being discovered you truly were discovered percent live in a very unusual way you know you didn't have a manager it's not like you sent in a headshot or a tape Lauren Michaels just heard about you is that right yeah and kind of not in your normal way so yeah I was in a really small sketch group in LA and Megan Mullally his brother-in-law Matt Offerman was in the sketch group and we just did a show and she showed up to it minute- on Meghan came by from Wheeling Grace and I was like oh my god I'm a camel Holly seriously for the great afterwards she was like oh you're really funny and I was like oh thanks you know I was like why she came to the show and and then like two months later she called me on the phone and said oh so I told Lauren Michaels about you and he'd love to meet you is that okay and I was like no how dare you I like working in eating Donuts sugar no here's about you and then this this whole thing happens but you you weren't unfamiliar with with show business you had worked in show business but behind the scenes is that right I was a production assistant in LA for like like six years or so and I was at some big films yeah I worked on collateral damage sure I know you like so you've got to really be around swardson eager a lot what was your impression him you it was crazy we were like we were in the jungle like where they shot like predator like in Mexico and and everybody just has like long-sleeve shirts and like hats and like we're just covered in bug repellent cuz there's like bugs everywhere it's just like totally insane and Arnold's just hung like he just hang out like well that with no shirt on like in boxers it's like smoking a cigar like playing chess and Bob's are coming around the mosquito is half filled with blood oven flexes and [Applause] [Laughter] turns an Al Pacino yeah yeah you said he was playing chess is he's a chess player huge like chess fanatic and that was like the hardest things he like play with someone from you know like a crew member anybody walking by Lulu you know what I mean and they're like oh you know and I had to like take him to set you know and we would be waiting for hours like where's Arnold was on earth and he's playing chess with people so I like we devised the thing where we like write a little note and slip it to his opponent and be like lose exclamation me like all right whoops the borough board you know and he caught on to it you know he was like what is the [Applause] you lose yeah I don't have a good mind went away to I don't know anything you know I know I know a lot of young people today probably aren't familiar with one of my favorite actors of all time is James Mason yeah he's in Lolita and he's in a star is born I mean just just this incredible I think one of the great film British actors of the of the 20th century and and so it's unusual that you do with James Mason in program I did it for my audition how did you get into James Mesa yeah well my parents were like huge fans like old movies and stuff like I grew up watching him but um in my audition I did James Mason at a donut shop with an expired gift certificate for it doesn't don't it was like yes excuse me I would like to buy a dozen donuts reduce you don't select your biggest bottle of use I'm sorry I see what's today's date how much would the dearness without the gives people just do James Mason from the movie [Applause] okay we're a very funny guy and thanks a lot for something by our show appreciated this weekend Jack Black is hosting Sarah net live and he's one of the funniest people alive with musical guest Neil Young something you guys got a good one yeah this weekend [Applause]
