Best Support Cards for Bard & Paladin | Lost Ark

so today i want to go over some of the best card sets you can use for both bard and paladin as support classes there are so many card sets and i know the card system in general can be very confusing so i'm going to help break it down for you today and the best part you can actually use the same card sets on both of these classes if this video helps you out please like and subscribe i'm also streaming lost arc on twitch so catch me there for live support content links in the description alright so right off the bat i want to explain something very important about the way that your heels and shields scale as a barred or paladin player you need to know this because it's the whole reason for your choice in card sets if on barred you hover over your wind of music bubble or on pally your holy protection bubble you will see that the shield will be given to your party members based off of your max hp this is the same on both bard and paladin for all of your shielding skills including your shielding awakening skills this means the more hp you have personally the bigger shields you give to your teammates regardless of how much hp they personally have and not only do your shield scale off of your health pool your heels do as well this means that your healing identity skills on both classes along with a small heal on holy protection for paladin all heal based off of your hp as well so as you can see your own health bar is one of the most important stats as a support class in order to provide the best shielding and healing possible which leads me into your card sets which are entirely focused on raising your hp if you press alt c you can look at your card collections and within this i want to talk about the field boss 2 and farewell weapon 2 sets if you've been opening your card decks and using all of the cards which you should be by the way please don't throw away your cards you can expand your deck with crystals or stockpile cards on an alt but don't toss them then you probably already have a few cards from each of these sets you can hover over the set effect details to see how many cards you need to activate a deck and what bonuses you get based off of how many cards you have equipped for both of these sets you can see that at two four and six cards respectively you get a four percent increase in max hp for a total of 12 bonus and this is great especially early game as it means that you can mix and match cards if you only have four of one set and two of another you can equip those mismatched cards and still get that 12 percent bonus in hp you can actually see that's what i'm doing here as i only have 5 out of 7 for the field boss 2 set there are additional awakening facts that you can receive from awakening the cards which you can do by using duplicates of the cards this is another reason to not throw away your cards even if you already have the same one equipped keep your cards guys awakening sets takes a very long time so it isn't something that you need to be worried about right now and really the awakened effects for these decks don't enormously help you out as a support either so i wouldn't worry too much about it each level that you awaken a card the little gems under their pictures you get one awakening level and you need 18 levels total to get the first awakening effect at least for field boss 2 which means you can mix and match these levels based on which cards you get as long as they equal 18 total levels meaning you don't have to get every single card to level 5 to awaken it i recommend going for the full field boss 2 set once you get the cards as this deck is slightly better than the farewell weapon 2 set later on this starter card set is something you will use for a very long time and honestly you don't need to swap off of it ever if you don't want to as that hp increase is always useful much later down the road as a support you could also use the forest of giants and the will meet again card sets together which are both three card sets for damage reduction which is useful for self defensives the biggest downside of these sets early on is that they really only shine once you awaken them which like i noted earlier takes a very long time to do for reference it takes 16 of the same card for it to hit level 5. however since these two damage reduction sets are very good to awaken i recommend waiting to awaken your hp card set unless you're very sure that you want the bonuses it gives in case you want to awaken other sets down the road awakening is very costly since it costs not only duplicate cards but also a lot of card xp so it's good to make sure that you know what you want before you commit to it so really i wouldn't worry about those sets right now i just wanted to let you know that they could be an option in the future if you ever wanted to swap off a field boss 2. also aside from a few cards you can buy from wandering merchants and certain ones that drop from quests getting cards is very rng reliant which is another reason both getting and awakening card sets can take a while and like i said before bard and paladin use the same card sets so if you're playing both classes then you're in luck because card sets are roster bound i hope this helps you guys beef up your hp bar and give out all of the shields and heels and i'll catch you all next time
