Welcome to this quick guide where
I'm going to show you how to install Microsoft Store apps without the Microsoft Store. And if you get any value out of this video, please click the like button
and subscribe to the channel. But to get started with the guide,
if you want to install Microsoft Store apps without the Microsoft Store on
your Windows 10 or Windows 11 computer, I'm going to show you the best way
that I've found that you can do that. Now, just to show you before we start, if I do
a search on my computer for the Microsoft Store, you'll see that I don't have the
Microsoft Store installed at all. And also, if I go ahead and I click
on start and then go to my all apps. And I go down to M. There is no Microsoft Store
installed on my computer. Now, to install apps without the Microsoft Store, you can open up your browser of choice
and then you can go to this web page, which is the WingetUI web page. Now, I'll also have a written guide on the subject and I'll include this web
page in my written guide. And you can just get that from
the description of this video. But once you're on this web page,
you can download the WingetUI app, which is an app for your package managers,
which provides a graphical user interface. So you can install apps without the Microsoft Store through various sources like
Winget, Scoop, Chocolaty and so on. So to get started with this, just scroll
down and then click on download WingetUI. It's going to start the download
for the WingetUI installer. Then you can just click on open file. You can click on install for all users. Then you can click on OK or you can change
the language if you're not happy with English. But I'll just click on OK. Then I'll click on next, click on next again,
and then I'll just leave this on the defaults. But you can also perform a portable
installation if you'd like. Then you can click on next and
then you can click on install. Once it's finished, just make
sure that launch WingetUI is selected and then you can click on finish. And it's going to launch the
WingetUI app on your computer. Now, once it's open on your computer, just make
sure that discover packages is selected here. And now you can do a search for whatever
you want to install on your system. So this isn't just for apps that are
only available on the Microsoft Store. You can basically install
anything through the WingetUI. So in this example, let's just
install something like TikTok. So I'll just do a search for TikTok and then
you'll see that I get a result for TikTok. And the source that I'm going
to install this from is the Microsoft Store because it says winget:msstore. And you can also see the package ID here. Now, to install this app, just
select the checkbox here on the left and then click on install selected packages. At the bottom here, you're going to
see the status of the installation. And when it's finished, you'll see
that TikTok was installed successfully. Now, if I go ahead and I do a
search on my computer for TikTok. I now have the TikTok app installed on my system. And if I go ahead and click on that to launch
it, it opens up the TikTok app on my computer. Now, TikTok was just an example. You can go ahead and you can do a
search for whatever you want to install. If you want to install Minecraft, you
can do a search for Minecraft and then you'll find all of these results
for Minecraft that you can install. If you want to install Roblox. You can do a search for Roblox and then
you can just find Roblox on this list of results and select it and click
on install selected packages. So this is a great way of installing Microsoft
Store apps without the Microsoft Store. And WingetUI does more than just that. If you go to the software updates tab up here, you can also check for updates for all of the
software that you have installed on your system. And you can just click on update
selected packages and it's going to download and install all of the available
updates for those apps on your system. But I hope this guide has been useful. And if you got any value from it, please like
the video and I'll talk to you guys soon.
