Best Kitchen Layouts! Don't regret it after you move in!

that's cool today on well bailed home I'm gonna show you how we see a lot of people walk through a kitchen [Music] [Music] [Music] what a great kitchen now Andrea is going to show you how she recommends you walk through a kitchen okay so this is the kitchen nice yeah let's walk through it like we're actually gonna use it though okay yeah all right so pantry yeah door swings in so it's not in your way I like that right let's throw the fridge wide open it's often a nice big fridge but it gets a little close here which is not a big deal but be aware of that yeah is somebody sitting there yeah all right now let's use the doors and the drawers go ahead and give them a try soft clothes yeah which is easily to add it or removed from any kitchen so not necessarily a high-end feature cut meats but a nice feature I like it and it's quite popular right now so this bra hits hits the fridge but it's almost all the way out so I just put a little stop on there try out the oven all the way yeah that's good the lots of room to take things out there's room to walk by it so it's not really a safety hazard mm-hmm nice 36 inches wide you've got lots of counter space on each side as well so if you're cooking that's fantastic sink location is a big a big deal for a lot of people here it's situated so you can look out the backyard some people might prefer that it was in the island either way you want enough dish washing and drying space for dirty dishes and whatnot nice close access to the dishwasher from the sink yeah that's good lots of room to walk by the dishwasher I can open the door is across from the dishwasher I got actually still got by yeah I can be heating up a burrito okay I also love that you can access the right here I mean you can't always have that but it's sure nice yeah because you're barbecuing outside it's easy access to here so here is a great example of a simple layout in a one-bedroom suite you still have to walk through it though to make sure it works really well are we starting yeah all right carry on all right Stefan why don't you open up the fridge well I like it that it's whether it swings the right direction for starters the dips putting some groceries away a space up here for microwave or I could go with the taller fridge yeah pretty high cabinets for a bit extra storage mm-hmm smaller appliances but you know Oh lay it out quite nicely yeah it is you know roomy beside the sink for some dishes you know we don't have room on the other side Byrd clean dishes but we make that work and again your expectation is lower it is so as long as there is room for dishes and room beside your stove yeah and I like that this is higher for head space when you're washing dishes yeah that's important for you you don't have to drip water on the floor when you're transferring dishes into your dishwasher a big fan is vented I mean yeah it's a tiny little kitchen but yeah we tried everything we opened all the drawers and the appliances and whatnot [Music] so the takeaway here is don't just stand back and look at the kitchen enter the kitchen open everything up make sure it's functional and make sure it works for you whether the kitchen is large and very high-end or small and more affordable you need to know what you're paying for because you only get what you pay for if you get what to look for [Music]
