Best Glass Material in Blender Tutorial 2023

how to make clear glass in blender we have here a cup model that I get from the kit Library so you can use that or anything you have to follow with us before starting we need some lights in the scene so you can add that for me I will use this basic add-on called quick environment to add a studio lighting switch to render View and put the engine on Cycles then add a camera in the scene let us open a new work window for the shading part hit the new button to add a material delete the principal bsdf and with shift a add a glossy material we also need a refraction Shader since we need glass with shift control and right Mouse button we can mix those two together in the mix Factor add a fresnel node and to get the ior value you can do a simple search online for clear glass it will be around 1.5 so add this number in the fresnel and refraction and make sure the roughness value is zero on both nodes by now if it looks more of chrome to you than glass you need to flip the mix so just put the refraction at top and there you have it simple glass material for you to use at any occasion and if you want to go deep in the glass making I have for you a more advanced tutorial to watch see you guys next time stay sharp goodbye
