As a teacher, I was covering my face and cowering through the whole video. We devise these classroom policies that we think are so smart, and inevitably a situation will arise that makes the policy very problematic. You can just see it on the guy's face: "Fuck me fuck me I didn't think of this that poor girl I'm an asshole I'm going to get caaaaaanned and suuuuuuued fuck my life fuck it fuck.........."

But yeah, the way he takes it seriously by apologizing shows he's a great teacher. He didn't anticipate how his policy would backfire and is accepting full responsibility. The fact the students even pulled it (and that the teacher is impressed by their clever joke, which I totally am, too!) shows they have great rapport.
