Hey everybody. Let's get straight into the food. I
ate here for one week... every day. That's how much I was addicted to the food here. This is their steak
& eggs... well sort of. I'm at Pho-4-Real. You can check the description, as usual, for more details.
As you know, I just came back from Vietnam. I'm not Vietnamese, but I was just infatuated with the
food and the culture, and had a great time. Pho-4- Real has about 4 locations here in Las Vegas...
one in deep Henderson. Thankfully you don't have to go as far as Vietnam to find some really good
food. This is their sizzling steak and bread...the "Bánh Mì Bò Né" I love any kind of steak & eggs.
I took the onions and I kind of flipped it onto the sizzling pan to see if I can get it to grill
a little bit. This was your average steak & eggs. It's not extremely special, it's not tenderloin, but
it's just hearty steak & eggs. I think it would have been better with two eggs, but it was still
really good. I used to have this very same dish at Orchid Vietnamese, but now they're no longer
in business. This is really really good with the bread. The steak has a slight seasoning on it. It's
almost like a very slight marinade, that you can barely tell. The bread was not as good as I had at
Orchid, but it was still good enough. And I usually like to put my steak & eggs in here with some
of the vegetables, and make my own steak sandwich. It's kind of surprising that you'd find something
like this in a Vietnamese restaurant. But the Vietnamese cuisine has been influenced by a
variety of other cultures as well, including the French. That's where the baguette came from. This
is something that just caught my eye from the menu, because I came here for traditional Vietnamese
noodle soups. But I couldn't resist the steak & eggs, and I couldn't resist making my own steak
sandwich again here, at a Vietnamese restaurant. I love cheese steaks... any kind of Subs with meat
and vegetables. And the Bánh Mì is something that I really like. But you have to put your own steak
in there if you want to make a sandwich like this. Thick chunks of steak with fresh vegetables in a
crispy baguette. And I even added the egg in there for extra goodness. But you don't have to eat it
like this. You can just have your steak & eggs and use the bread as just a side dish. One drawback
is that, for the amount of food, I think it's a bit pricey at $17.99... about $18. But it was good to the
last bite. Another thing that I really like about this place is you can order side dishes. You can
order some of these as main entrees, but they give you the option to just get it as a side. So it's a
bit cheaper. This is their barbecue pork chop. More accurately, the Vietnamese marinated pork chop. For
$8, you can get this as a side dish... it has a delightful marinade... a little bit sweet. But I think
the flavors are deeper than your Korean Bbq. You can get it as a side dish and enjoy it with
your meal. Because sometimes I feel that one entree is not enough for me. Looking at the menu closer, I
found that they also had an option to get oxtail as a side. $10 for this amount of oxtail.
And real oxtail. A couple videos ago I mistook the beef bones for the oxtail, and I got grilled for it
pretty good. But anyways, this is oxtail. And I love oxtail. And I can get it as a side here. It comes in
a little bit of broth... I think it's the same broth they use for their phở. They also have short ribs
for $8. And look at this short rib. This one that I got was huge. I'm not sure if I'm gonna
get that big of a short rib every time I order it. Now how was the quality? Actually it was a little
bit disappointing. I thought it would be super tender, but the meat was a little bit dried out. I
think the reason for that is that they boiled it for too long. Because they have a big pot in the
back where they make the broth, and I think it was just boiled and boiled and boiled again... where
the meat kind of dried out. All the fat content just got boiled into the broth. The broth is super
good by the way. The short rib is also the same. A little bit dried out. But if you're a meat lover
like I am, I didn't have a problem with it. And I got a couple pieces that were still tender. I was
just dipping it in the broth and eating it. But you can use a little dipping sauce on the side, such as
soy sauce. Or just ask for some salt and pepper. But either way, you get a ton of meat. And even though
it was a little bit dried out, I still loved it. Because I just love eating meat. They did fall
right off the bone. It's just that I think it was boiled too long. Would I get it again? I probably
would... knowing myself. I just can't resist extra side dishes of meat. I'm not sure if the other
Vietnamese restaurants in town have this kind of a side dish option. They do have extras that you
can add for your soups and your noodle soups... such as: more meat for your soup, or more noodles, or more
broth. But I don't know if I've ever seen oxtail and short rib available as an option for side
dishes. It's also one of the better places to get their most famous dish... the phở... the rice noodles
with beef, in a beef broth. The broth is more than just the beef broth. It's boiled for days, and uses
all kinds of seasonings. If you've never tried this dish yet, it's most comforting, most soothing,
and one of the most amazing broths that I know. And the extra side dishes of oxtail and short rib
just made it more fun and more interesting. Here I got my beef brisket and rare steak and tendon, in
my phở. And the huge quantity of meat can make a carnivore's dream come true. Look at the brisket.
It has some of the fat on it... has the richness... still, the meat... a little bit dry. It's not like the
most premium phở that I've ever had. But the broth is really good and I added more oxtail into this
phở noodle dish. And most of the time you season it with spices if you like. But if you don't like
spice, or if you don't like extra seasoning, you don't need to. You can go for the straight basic
flavor. But the noodle is soft. The rice noodle is so delicate and pleasing. All of this in a
very good broth. It's one of the most addicting dishes that I know. And because it's served with
fresh vegetables, texturally, this is an amazing combination as well. Especially when it's cold. You
get a hot broth that's so good, and with the soft noodles and the meat. And then these sauces. Usually
the Hoisin and the Sriracha is what I mix. And some people will eat it this way... dipping the meats
into the sauce and just lay it over the top... add a little bit of vegetables for crunch. And you get
the meat, the noodles... in that broth... with some of the vegetables. And like I said, texturally
it's amazing. It's an amazing combination. I really like the fact that it comes with a good
amount of meat. There's so much meat in here. The brisket is just wonderful. I like the rare steak
also. This is another dish they have here, that I think is one of the best for this kind of a dish. This
is the "Bún Riêu" The menu says crab vermicelli soup. So it does have crab cakes in here, but it's
seasoned with a variety of things, even seafood and pork. It comes with fresh vegetables... the fragrant
herbs. And as far as the flavor goes, this is one of the best I've ever had. Orchid also had another
good one, but you know what happened... they are not in business anymore. It also has blood cakes. And then
the fermented shrimp paste, which adds deep flavor. But if you're not into all those items, you can
omit those, and you can still have a good meal. Another place mentioning is "Pho Bosa." This place
has one of the best "Bún Bò Huế" that I know. But first let's look at their bánh mì. Their bánh mì looked
really good too, They're Vietnamese sandwiches. The bánh mì has become so popular there's a lot of
places you can get it. There's one place on Sahara near Valley View or Arville, that has one of the
biggest ones I know. It's about a foot long (30.48 cm). Here is a pretty good size too. It's about $11. The only
bummer was that they were out of a lot of items. They're very high tech here. They have a robot
server, like from my revolving sushi video. They also have this... automated system, and even paying
and everything. The only downside to this place is that they charge you gratuity. But the Bún bò Huế...
the spicy pork-hock soup... this is one of the best that I know in Las Vegas. Now the menu will say
spicy beef noodle. But it does have pork, pork leg, or pork-hock, or pork leg hock... however you want to
say it. And it is really good. It has some sausages, blood cakes, some vegetables, and a spicy broth.
It's hard to find a good one here in Las Vegas. Pho Bosa, I must say, is one of the best. And going
back to "Pho-4-Reak" they also have one of the best. This is about the same price as Pho Bosa,
$15.99. Many other places in Las Vegas will have this dish, but they won't have the flavor that
you can find here, and at Pho Bosa. Comparing the two, I would give a slight edge to Pho Bosa for
flavor. But this place is a close second. There's plenty of meat, both beef and pork. Most people who
are not Vietnamese only know phở and bánh mì. But I highly recommend you try this dish. You'll fall
in love with it. It's an awesome dish. But that's gonna do it for me for this video. Thanks for
watching, and we'll see you on the next video.
