Beginner Goalkeeper VS Expert Goalkeeper - What's the difference?

in today's video i wanted to find out what's the difference in skill level between a complete beginner and an expert goalkeeper so i'm just on my way to the pitch now to meet dec our deal gk known as one of the best goalkeepers on social media i'm super interested about today to see how much a good goalkeeper really does make a difference let's get down to the pitch and meet him so we're with deku just to give you some context he's a full-time goalkeeper trains five times a week even had his own brand of goldie gloves which are worn by professionals so yeah he knows what he's doing and he's up against me who spent a grand total of about eight days between the sticks so here's how it's going to work i've took 10 aspects of the goalkeeping game and we'll have 10 attempts at each challenge leaving us with a score out of 100 and i'll analyze the scores at the end of the video to see how much difference it really is so we put in our gloves did a warm-up and then it was time to get into the first challenge first up is corners how well can you take the ball in the air with pressure from a defender oh yeah [Music] next up we've got 1v1s and this is essential to being a good goalkeeper [Music] one [Music] good save is that what i was doing wrong on that one well you were running out and well yeah you you're sort of turning your back yeah you literally just gotta be brave and look at it i mean you probably get one in the face but you just take it [Music] [Applause] all like free kicks now 10 each [Music] okay distribution challenge next you want to throw the ball into the mini goal out of 10. [Music] [Music] oh but the challenge is just to hold on to it basically just to catch it next up we've got a handling challenge each catch gets harder how high can you go jeez [Music] reaction saves gonna wet it up and then what 10 saves each you versus me yeah and hopefully this is going to make you react so yeah you face the goal i'll say yep turn and when you turn you'll get an idea from me but like um yeah and then it's gonna be out into the corners and you've got a spring oh [Applause] yep that's ridiculous handling oh great hands next up we've got throwing distance and this actually showed a big difference between the both of us i'll show you the exact figures and distances when i round the scores up at the end of the video [Music] oh my god that's the longest one yet okay it's a little reaction challenge now you can be on the line touch the mannequin dive hopefully save the ball straight back up do that five times and just see the difference [Music] oh that side just feels really awkward to me [Music] [Music] that's unbelievable so i just realized this is something the difference between like a really good keeper for someone like me you don't care which side the ball goes there no diving in there where's yeah for me that's a lot worse [Music] [Music] oh [Music] [Music] oh and finally we've got reaction power shots from the ball launcher expect some insane saves in this round [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] yes [Music] [Music] [Music] oh dick that's so bad i should so say that's nice [Music] that was a good save so after that on real save it's time to check out the final scores so first up we've got the crosses i got six uh 10 deck got 10 1v1 is the same story pretty much everything the throwing accuracy was massive difference handling massive difference throw distance massive difference you can see a bit of a trend going on here so apparently he's always saved zero he got three shot stopping was pretty close actually ball launcher and then overall i got 39 he got 81 massive massive difference i hope you guys enjoyed this video make sure you check out deck in the links down in the description and yeah this just shows how much of a difference a good goalkeeper can make thanks for watching and i'll see you next time peace
