hey guys and welcome to be castled a game that is a cross between uh foundation and they are billions wave defense it's really cool um right let's jump in and we're going to play i'm going to set it to unlimited we're going to see how long we can stay alive now we're going to play on the flatlands map there are various different maps to play on uh we're going to play on combat difficulty 3 which is like the standard starting uh starting difficulty and we'll have standard everything else what have we got here we've got we've got some wolf dens now the wolf dens are useful in the early game as like protection because they will attack enemies who are attacking you we do need some stone and there's some stone over there and then there's some stone over there this this this might be a difficult oh no actually because we can do it okay so we've got we've got stone stone stone we need sunstone as well and we've only got one there which is going to make life a little bit difficult uh yeah yeah there's no more anywhere out here so we would okay this is gonna be this is gonna be a fun one i'm gonna have to take these wolves out like relatively early so that we can expand into this area oh this is gonna be a fun one guys all right let's um let's put our castle in like there i think boom it's in now as soon as they build this we'll get our starting resources and then we can get on now i gotta say the game's fun the game is fun i've i've been playing this a little bit right we've got our resources now the first thing i'm gonna put in is uh a woodcutter which i'm gonna put over here i think so i'm gonna claim this at this area for 40 wood and then i'm going to get resources i'm going to get a sawmill put in now i don't want to knock any trees down if i can avoid it so [Music] i can i only lose one tree if i do that oh if well if you'll actually go in come on go in okay nah i'd lose more no let's try let's put it there then i don't want to lose trees trees very valuable resource very valuable resource okay next thing i want to do is um okay so your people spawn every so often let's get let's get mine you start with five swordsmen let's get them out of the way right so every now you'll have somebody spawn over here um and that rate is controlled by the um the the happiness of the village and that's something that we're going to have to work on but right now we're at our population limit so we need some houses so that we can get more people coming in so come on okay so we'll have a house there and i'd love to get another one going in for that we need some more wood so let's get a couple of people working at the sawmill right they will go and start cutting trees down and bringing wood in good and that allows me to get another house going so let's get another house going come on there try and pack these in quite tightly okay food our food is ticking down we are losing um we're using minus minus 50 food per minute so i need to get some food going where am i going to get some food going well we've got some uh we've got some wild boars here we can set up a hunter's hut over here and we'll just pop that in there's fine so yeah you're gonna go and build that excellent i've got enough wood let's get another house going and just tuck that in as close to this as we can there we go awesome so i got three guys as soon as this gets built come on there we go now you do have to click off the building and click back onto it to actually see the workers slots which is i got to say it's a little bit annoying but it's what it is right now since they get there we should start to see our food go positive i hope yeah at 10 we're up by 10 a minute hooray not awesome but at least the food's going up now we can put in um we can put in a cattle farm here that would be kind of cool this is our countdown clock to night time at night time with the solar people look you can see they've got they've got solar faces at nighttime we get attacked by the moon people uh who are very bad people and they attack it's indicated by these blue flames so they're going to be attacking in this direction so i tell you what the first for the first night i'm going to cheese it because because you can and i'm gonna show you how you choose it uh that gets through the first night so that so i can just focus on getting this stuff you know i might get a fishing thing set up over here you know what i'm gonna do let's capture that and we'll go to resources i do need to get some sunstone going asap so i'm gonna have to unlock this one as well um i'm gonna do that now you know what i gotta say i'm kinda tempted go on let's capture that and i think i'll get that guy i'm going to get but yeah because i've already got food coming in from here all right let's get some uh let's get some sunstone be in mind what do i want a sunstone workshop sunstone workshop let's point you in this direction and let's put you in well um i'm thinking about putting some houses behind here so actually maybe if i put you oh come on don't wait okay that's the only place i can put it apparently okay well that's fine oh okay that's a bit of an issue the wolves were chasing the builder because he went through their territory oh that's not good i am gonna have to take them out sooner rather than later oh well it's almost night time on the first day uh we are positive well we were positive for food i'm gonna have to get some more food going oh man i'm gonna have to get some more food going uh we've got a lot of people so yeah so again what didn't i'm gonna get the i was gonna get the fishing going wasn't i yeah go on so resources where's a fisherman's hut let's put a fisherman's hook in over there all right right i said i was going to cheese this the first night well here we go three two one all of our people will go to the protection of their homes here come the enemy the nasty moon people right we're just going to get their attention so that they follow us it's just like they are billions from this perspective from this perspective so i'm going to go over here and i'm going to get them to run through the wolf area we're going to run out of the wolf area and then they're going to get attacked by the wolves bunch of losers they got eaten by wolves well well frankly screw them [Music] oh you gotta love that well done wolves so now that we've done that we can get on with uh with building away right we'll put a couple of workers in there mining sunstone excellent right our food is going down do we want that going up so we've got our fisherman's hut being built now and as soon as that gets built we'll get a couple of workers in there and that's going to get us positive on the food oh now they're gonna be attacking in this direction tonight so we're gonna have to get some defenses going i think yep yeah get some defenses going i think um i gotta say this is this this wooded area is brilliant for the for bringing in wood uh stone i want to get some stone going uh the reason we want stone is so that you can upgrade buildings so let's uh let's capture this and we'll get a stone quarry set up stone quarry resources stun quarry and we'll put it in um i don't want it too close to the wolves actually that's a good point will you go in yeah you will there we go so that can go in there now as long as my builders don't run through where the wolves are we've actually got good protection on this side that's going to help us a lot and then we've got it it's this side that we're gonna have to worry about now i could i could probably choose it on the second night as well and just lead them over to the wolves um so if i wanted to i could totally do that let's get you over there uh ready for tonight um some more houses would probably be a good thing because we've got we've got nobody waiting oh i need to get more houses going let's get some more houses so let's do a bit of a row of houses along here i think so let's have one and come up two let's get maybe three houses going we want some we want some population okay good now you do have to support your army my army is currently costing me 35 a minute uh which is which is very little um i need to get some workers in here but i need some people first come on spoil me some people now the faster the happier people are the faster they'll spawn okay we've got one guy let's get you getting some stone coming in so i can start upgrading some buildings that would be good um the best way i've found to make them happy is uh to put in a tavern and i've got enough wood so i'm gonna do it and i'm gonna put tavern in right over here i'm gonna create a little bit of a town square kind of thing going on so let's pop that in oh i don't wanna knock down trees if i can avoid it well it's gonna go there then good good good good right this is a bit of a bit of a an extravagance early game but i think i think it's really worth it okay i've got a couple of people so i am gonna get them going into this tavern like asop come on build it build it right it's built uh let's get you guys going in there now since they go in there look look how the mood goes up we're now plus eight so we're spawning residents now at 185 percent i've got a couple of guys uh one can go and work in the stone quarry we've got two workers on the sunstone we've got two in the sawmill we've got two in the fisherman's hut or some sauce um let's see i'm 318. i need some space so i'm going to capture this and we're going to start creating some troops i think so i'll go to military um i'm probably going to do an archery range first yeah probably going to do an archery range first for that i need wood now the faster i can bring when bringing wood the better so i'm going to use my first bit of stone to upgrade not that's the hunter's hood idiot to upgrade the sawmill to add another workplace and i'm going to assign another person to work there right so that's going to be bringing in wood a little bit faster now we've got this area over here which is a really nice wooded area so i'm thinking i'm probably going to get this as well and have another one to bring in even more wood i might even open up this area as well for this one that's maybe not a bad idea maybe not a bad idea we're up to 238 come on one more lot of wood uh and that's small stone over there which is maybe not a bad thing which one i probably want to open this one up first go on right let's open that up because they're starting to come over here to get wood and i don't really want them to i don't prefer them to be getting wood over there okay good good good we got stone coming in how's the food we are at plus 10 a minute at the moment that's good i'm going to upgrade the fisherman's hut and get another person working there to keep the food positive because we are we're zero at the moment right we got the enemy coming in okay i'm gonna have to cheese it so you lot yeah come and chase me can you chase me over to uh over to my friends the wolves now i can't go too fast otherwise i'll lose them so here we go so run into the wolf area and then run out the wolf area now the wolves are faster than them so hopefully the wolves will come back and catch them up oh come on come on there we go and the wolves have got to move again oh the wolves are my best friends oh quick run away run away run away run away now if you can survive until um sunlight the moon people will die so they've got a limited time to attack all right so where they're gonna attack oh tonight they're gonna attack here which means they're gonna run right through the wolves oh that's good for us that's very good for us all right sweet okay what are we gonna build next oh let's see um i've got like one guy waiting we um how are we doing we're plus 50 on the food i wouldn't mind getting more food going but oh yeah what what shall we do i've already got an extra guy in there haven't i i could increase the hunters in the hunter go on we'll do that let's put an extra guy into there keep the food positive and then we'll get some more houses are going so we'll have a house there [Music] and [Music] put me put like three more houses in there and one going in there all right cool so that gets up to what like 21 population which is pretty good going cool uh mood is very good so they're going to spawn at a reasonable rate we've got moonstone coming in um yeah that's good i'm gonna upgrade that building and we'll have another worker working there as soon as i get somebody come on spawn darn it here we go yeah you know what you can be a bill well i've actually got builders so yeah maybe yeah go and go work there that's fine we've got plenty more people coming in right next now what are we going to do next i do want to get a church going this resurrects dead soldiers but on the basis that we kind of don't have too many soldiers listening at the moment let's get some soldiers i want an archery range so i'm going to put an archery ranger in probably there boom and it goes and then i'm also going to want a siege workshop to uh to build siege engines and we'll put that maybe there boom cool so now i'm going to be able to train archers and i'm going to be able to make siege engines and the siege engines fit on top of towers so i'm gonna have to start building towers oh yeah i've got cattle there so i can build a cattle farm out there if i want to um i could capture the how am i doing for food we're plus 50 a minute at the moment now i'm gonna need that but right now it's all about training some troops up okay let's get some archers going right you i'm gonna get one worker in there and i'm gonna start building trebuchets or some sauce now tonight they're gonna be walking through this wolf den which i think is gonna keep them pretty occupied but i will get we'll get some arches just in case so another one and another one and there are my first two archers three and there was much rejoicing all righty they're gonna have to they have to train up a bit first he's working on the trebuchet awesome all right things things are looking good at the moment i wonder how i'm going to screw it up because you know i will at some point right i said i was going to get some more wood going on here didn't i yeah so i think maybe we'll unlock this area next and get some wood more wood going on because the wood's coming in a bit slowly you need a lot because we've got to build towers and walls and all kinds of stuff 246 i need 280 to unlock this come on guys you can do it the hunters are going on where are they where are they bringing wood in from i can't see where my oh look they're bringing it in from over there now i might even knock that down and rebuild it over here i think that would make a lot of sense you know what i think i might do that so you know what let's get uh let's get a sawmill i'm going to build a sawmill over here in fact it like if i build it kind of there um i don't want to knock those two trees down though and i can't do it without knocking them down well i think probably there's gonna have to work can i oh i can put it in the ah that'll do let's put it right in the middle there okay so i am gonna knock that down uh i have got a bunch of workers um i haven't got enough wood because i just built that come on get it built get it built get it built there's the there's a roof on and ching okay right let's get a couple of workers in there i'm going to upgrade it get another worker in there then i'm going to not am i going to knock that one down i've got enough wood to unlock this capture that and sawmill goes in somewhere around here probably i'm probably going to lose that tree probably going to lose that tree oh no not cha-ching hooray okay now i can get rid of this so get rid of that awesome now my wood is going to start to roll in sweet oh it's almost nighttime let's get my archers over here just in case you're going to get that built in time yeah i didn't get a chance to assign the workers never mind okay where are they oh look here they come now you may think well there's only three walls if um if they do some damage then a big wolf is gonna come out with a couple of little wolves which should present them with some serious issues i'm gonna get my archers over there and i'm gonna get these guys ready all right yeah now what we can do is just run them around and let our archers shoot them i know it's cheesy but oh and there's another wolf the wolf's chasing them yeah go on wolf kill them now the walls respawn relatively quickly let's get these guys a bit closer to my arches come on oh and another wolf for you to fight they're not having a good time of it tonight oh and now we've got the wolf now i could destroy this um am i going nah i don't know it's it's a bit of a pain there um you know what i'm gonna take the opportunity to destroy it i think yeah i'm gonna now the time because i can destroy it hopefully oh i'm gonna get to kill the wolves as they come out now i can get my archers to fire at this as well why you lot come over here destroy this there we go right you locked come on destroy destroy and boom okay we've cleared it out excellent all right you lot you've done very well go stand over there okay man man man man man right um what am i gonna do next okay i've got a lot of wood coming in which is good let's unlock what next um maybe the cattle farm yeah go on let's capture that and we will get resources a farm an animal farm uh which way around do i want this probably that way around and pop it in there try not to destroy any trees if i don't have to awesome right sawmill that needs workers in i'll upgrade it and put another worker in hooray now that should that should start ramping my uh my food production up i'm at 21 of 21 i need more houses god there's always something else to build isn't that uh let's put i think we can squeeze a couple more houses in here like uh one there and one come on there and i didn't knock down any trees hooray right uh let's get maybe uh actually do i want more troops i don't know don't know right the enemy's attacking in here tonight so let's see how much do i want to expand i'd love to capture that and i'd love these sheep farms so i'm thinking maybe i'm going to capture this okay so they're going to be attacking in here so what i'm going to do is i'm going to get a tower built there [Music] and as soon as i get more wood i've got three guys in the stone um now that's the sawmill isn't it here the three guys in the sawmill that's good we've got just the two in the stone quarry that's fine don't need any more than that we've got three in there how's my army yep we've got an income of 215 per minute so that's good i've got three guys fishing that's excellent got three guys at that sawmill um i'm tempted to capture this as well it's 400 wood to capture that good lord it starts getting very very expensive i'm thinking it probably better to capture this then there's loads of wood for these guys 542 wood do i get another tower going uh god say i'm pretty tempted so go on we'll get um we'll get another towel going on there and i think we'll start producing a few more troops go on um let's get a couple more a couple more arches going on right so my archers i've got five archers at the moment get up in this tower over here um i'm gonna now which one's gonna be my ballista tower oh i you know what i actually um just come over here archers i think this i'm going to put my i'm going to put a ballista in here yeah i'm going to put a ballista in there i'm going to get another ballista being built where's my siege workshop right you uh build me another trebuchet and build me another trebuchet cool as soon as the one trebuchet gets built that'll go in there and we're gonna put in another tower over here have the wood the wood is coming in at a nice right now okay come on come on come on come on that right another tower going on there awesome so i think i'm going to have trebuchet trebuchet in there and then my archers are going to be in this one yep that's the plan let's get another couple of troops going you can go and join those guys all right this is this is all kind of sort of going along quite nicely at the moment right i'm staying positive on the sunstone stain oh i'm i'm dead level on the food um let's get more workers going we need uh we need more houses don't oh well no actually no we don't i just need to put somebody else in there there we go i've still got one spare person we've got another couple of people to spawn okay so this will put another trebuchet in there boom and then archers archers get up in that tower uh i've got two more you can go up there now sometimes they just don't do what you tell them you lock go up in that tower thank you slackers right i'm going to try and uh oh i was going to try and get some walls built but frankly that's just not going to happen in time so new lot decoys decoy squad get out front we've got eight seconds this oh okay there they are right come on travis guys boom oh decoy squad get back here quick i i forgot that ah that's not good that's actually really bad the they'll go up there and they'll slaughter my uh my arches i should have held them off oh that's bad that's actually really bad on trebuchets do the job look this guy's gonna kill all them can you get out no they can't you know i should have i should have uh should have got to have these guys just go up straight up there come on you're killing all my arches stop there's like one guy who's just killing all the archers oh the trolls going up there now okay trolls dead okay finally okay so i i did lose my arches well not did i lose i didn't lose all of them um no i lost i lost like five more arches that was just sloppy but we survived another night and we've got uh we've got some basic defenses going on on that side now so we're in a pretty good uh we're in a pretty good position we're going to leave it there for this episode if you want to see more if you want to see the um the church of light and resurrections
