BEACH CAMPS ON THE NINGALOO COAST ARE INSANE | ROADTRIP AUSTRALIA EP.10 |

[Music] freaking crews bastard under there I got an Engel ooh so not far out of Coral Bay you'll find the turnoff to water station which is where we're going there absolute beachfront camping make sure you look for this sign ah and then hang up a left or right depending on which way incoming it's 34 caged in the dirt road to get in there so the missus was navigating so don't blame me down 40 extra kilometres that we had to turn her in come back in this way anyway drop your toys slow down and it's an easy road I'll just take all mine down to 20 straight up and our crews in probably takes another 40 or 50 minutes and hopefully it's pretty busy in there so hopefully there's a few spots on the beach and we'll show you what that's all about absolute beachfront camping reef out the front good fishing campfires like it's brilliant mate so coming here will give you a look how'd you enjoy that mate you like driving an extra 40 kilometres or what thanks for that big house that night you like drive an extra 40 cows clever hey I don't think she's all the way right I suppose a good thing to note it's a big sign on entry don't bother getting you after 5:00 p.m. although other team I Spy this is shows you what a taller there let your tires down slow down and enjoy Hey don't bang in here like an idiot ruin it for everybody else just chill out have fun it's one of the best game starts in Australia [Music] so here's the first glimpse at 14 more care for water station coming down over the June look at that look at the color of water you can see the vans parked up along there oh love this place a there's a dump on the way in down here on the left there's also a little hill here they call it Telstra Hill so you can drive up there and get a pretty good phone service so that's handy and then yeah just kick back and enjoy that you come to Iowa I will tell you it's one of my favorites around Australia yeah check it [Music] [Music] what do you recognize this joint it's pretty bloody awesome oh here we go so we're at war station right we weren't lucky enough to nail one of the beach front sights which down the end here I'll sort of poke my head over the front here they're all down the beach down there but it's pretty sought-after spot these days it's highly popular and we're in peak tourist season as well but I do reckon that the old gray nomads have got like a secret booking system going on because I all seem to get the beachfront sauce the families don't clicky system colonel I've done all of this before I'll need to expose it anyway we're on the ridge so it's about 18 sites along the ridge that range from the bottom across the top there actually might be more might be 20 or so anyway we parked up here it's free nice but not absolute beachfront but we can walk down our own little track here fire pit the Jacksons are with us another family we've met over fire here this arvo wow I've got to fish down there on high tides doing low now so the roofs really exposed and yeah just a good spot so we've got a plant if if we managed to get or if you didn't notice the floors are pretty bad too if we manage to get a beachfront sight we probably would have stayed a couple of days ah the fact that you're up on the ridge here and when there's no chance it was getting a beachy in the next few days ah we'll just move on after tomorrow but it's pretty nice in here we showed you the access road it's not too hard to get to not here and then we'll head up the coast and show you an English station somewhere we have never been I looked a pretty effort pretty ethic pretty epic we hardly get to it's not as not as many nomads up there we should be able to get a spot on the beach but this will do for now all right this is probably gonna look a bit funny I'm reform with me falling it on but I'll make gate I could give me a hot tip say get out and walk the flats just any of the ends be it there's a heap of octopus and stuff she just falling them in their hull hit him with your hands beer and you can drag them outside I was walking around for didn't think he was for real but just [Applause] seriously I think I've managed to spew like the biggest octopus on the rain gonna hear the hell a good being at home but it is massive it will not come out [Music] the biggest octopus ever and i that'll be a good fade on the barbie yeah fight for the rest of it oh man that's another first for me won't even know they'd be in the walls what do you go by Billy come and help him go boys you know boys fifty map yeah on the base taking about the beach so this is where you make it if you know the caretaker okay I don't know like I said before wreck and there's some unwritten law that we don't know about to get a spot Danny but look at this look at this your Tina's here there's a road that there's you been oh man it's like a fishing beach camping that guy easy three months six months yeah what is it 100 bucks a week oh yeah but if you've got enough to pay for kids either this is 14 mile beach beach camping this is inside it was a waiting list when we got here together so we're up it well wave renamed it hop rack reach because we're pretty they're pretty divided that we didn't get a sporty anyway there's a lucky bug is there one family out of 478 Granite's anyway you win some you lose some slot the widow can't control it non-compliance as the world tumbles are no you below and I will always be there the futures to see is there ooh sunset on Raj hey not too bad we missed out on a beach spot but you reckon by not too bad at all how's that for a photo man that is just epic everyone's having like happy hour along the cliff watching the Sun go down man don't get much better than this aren't you guys very lucky waiting for their coffee that are sick a look at him up bloody rough head but we are at the turnoff to ningaloo station now this one from all accounts is a real adventure it's our one of the roughest roads to get into a campground and at the very start of it at the highway this is what you run into so I guess it is going to be pretty rough sad story one of the families out we've been traveling with they just smashed the chassis on their van in here yesterday so I don't know what happened but the a-frame near bent like a banana they got towed XP so anyway that's right we got an off-road van and we're gonna be heading and give it a crack slow down driving conditions she'll be able to get in here nobody promised some cool campsites reason we're here is that we hit cold by and we hit wara we're packed in like sardines might get real anxious and go stir-crazy or just want to get out on my own do some cool stuff so we're coming in here it shouldn't be so busy because the rows too rough and now scares everyone off they go from Mora coral buy straight to expand any wait for us not this time ID but going in normally we'd drop straight pass near the friggin cruise master under there we're ganna Ningaloo yeah I don't know where yet we might be to decide the South Lefroy or window bandy there's a couple there's a peak amps in there flies a bad again closet always bad maybe four Oh wave your arms in the air scroll by boat Johnny fell for that once [Music] all right let's go 45 days of this to get into the campsite 322 K's in and he hit a bit of a wide junction where one way thanks to the yardie creek and all the campsites on Ningaloo station the other way takes you to the homestead so this is the best part look at this camping fees $5 per person per day hey children under 10 half charge so it's like 35 bucks a week exactly and you know Hackney mocks our days you're not dealing with pranking carryin parks you know paying $15 Patrol it sucks anyway all right can we should I look the B look at that check out this bloody Yukon see okay here we go we have made it to South Detroit we haven't had the best trip to be honest it's only take us about two hours took us extra Clues I'm old not the over here left a GoPro a caravan and it fell off somewhere on the track so we're to double back yeah but uh we haven't found it if anyone ever finds a flippin GoPro on the way into ningaloo station please let us know howdy how to go with that I am screwed be stone tighter flight is on but the start of the track but I'll just leave him on and drive two minutes out right I got out and won it bloody come loose or lost one of those two so not the best start freaking trip but anyway but here check it out flicked on through a bit of a sandy track and the sun's going down we are at seth Lefroy let Roy Lefroy anyway well I open that we might have it to ourselves but there's a by the puppeteer already so anyway alright we had a changing plans as we do our we showed up to let Froy and are all the good spots were taken which is a bigger bit of a bugger so we're going up to another place for winter B&E it's a bit tighter a bit rocky ER but it's only been out for away anyway and we've got some other mates who are staying up there anyway so we will go there and have a look it is here if you can see that we need to be any point down here is where we were left fried bay so I don't know what's happened busy so this is Ningaloo station right and this is winter a bandy point or window bandy point it's pretty special so I'm gonna hold you in suspense because I reckon it this spot deserves it wait for this mate turn this around our Caravan are you and the beach hey what the hell is this [Music] [Music] far out like can you get any closer to the water seriously look at that fully protected about 20 K is that way is yardie creek and the starter cape range national park right oh it makes me so pathetic happy night hey what do you reckon babe Justin since we're gonna go for a swim now just put the bathers on oh my god oh this is just unbelievable we keep we keep saying a lot we keep adding these places to our top ten but we just got better and better once for a walk on the beach this morning and dolphins literally came off the shore like two meters I got it on my iPhone might be able to drop it in but like they were just chasing fish right there the good thing about it like we showed you water war is an awesome spot but they Jam me in like sardines right so this one here we're in a site the next sites not for like 30 meters up the peaks that way and then there's another one you can see where this boat trailer is the that's the next site there so you can't hear your neighbors get plenty of space to yourself and you've got this thing now there's lots of stuff you can do you can go exploring there's an old whaling station there's a few different campgrounds to choose from we showed you we checked out South left all the way through we didn't think it was much chop but anyway this one here for us is but ha I don't lost for words because this is our perfect campsite 18 19 20 well not 19 because it's in the June so I think I don't know 22 spotties and it's son oh I can't wait to show you all that footage from last time yeah bingo Tandy right ah good times [Music] [Applause] [Music] haha Ningaloo station mate how cool is this absolute beachfront caravans are parked right here the sun's going down and up here you got like the gorge in the background so the moon come up there last night just as the Sun went down absolutely epic but anyway always want to do one of these I've seen it heaps other people taking them on the beach today had a couple other lads here Jamie from lap it up Jacko from the Jackson's and whole Madi Marchman we've managed to dig one check out this only took us about an hour but far out we're going to sit in and on a crack into the tins crack that fall out and then just watch that go down I reckon it might be a big night just quietly [Music] ah she cool [Music] star nation is so we get a few questions down then about how we power up the you if we're not driving so we do have solar inputs on the unit and when we do stop for a while we've carry a 200 watt portable blanket so normally I might throw that out and chuck it on that external innocent plug on the driver out of the van just to pump another few amps into it cuz we get about 10 amps out of that blanket so it just helps to top-up and make sure it always it 100% but so yeah we parked up here in the beach how buddy good is it it's pretty good in it anyway I would put I'll take the chance to show you how we run this it's just a 200 watt blanket and he can stand it up on legs or lay it flat peg at the end of the ground do whatever you want to do and just run it to an Anderson plug which I've got one on the front of the canopy canopy here in case you ever want a roof me up a panel I can plug one in I've also got another Anderson plug on the other side internally next to the DC to DC but anyway at the moment all we've got running is the fridge I've just been charging me computer and doing some work out here and the battery is at 70% but as you can see here pumping eight eight amps in from the panel take out about four and a half amps for the fridge running so we're getting you know pretty good power probably 10 12 amps out of that turn to what panel so that'll do us good son like this leave that on for a few hours that'll be back up to 100% then normally we're driving every day so we hardly ever pull the panel out but like I ain't driving anywhere for the next three nos this place is the bomb haha alright we caught up a heap of crayfish on our heli heli charter a couple weeks ago and we froze them all up but I know a lot of people just knock the tails off them and throw the stay out right but we just frozen hole cook the legs up in the first two nights and ate all those cuz you don't wanna waste an inmate these things are so damn delicious anyway so I've tailed them but I've kept the heads and now just defrosted him while we're on the ocean or Waller at this Beach camp here I'm just gonna cut him in half because look in there so much meat Danny there so you just sort of cut the whole head in half with a pair of good scissors wash all the guts here and then just go and chuck it straight on the barbie so I've done one I'm having it for lunch so come up be I'll show you what looks and here we go woho get up all right flip them over so much meat in there wash down in fresh salt water oh look at that I gotta pick in there with a fork and pick all the good stuff out like that's it definitely nothing gonna waste on those bad boys Randy look at that hey come on smooching they're all in here all up behind that it's like when you get doing you buy a hot chop from all this and the only time all that stuff underneath tastes good is when it's hot and you gotta get straight into it well I'm good all these little scallops a bit hmm it's so damn delicious man you ever get a cry cut the head and half and do that [Music] good morning hey basics on Ningaloo station and it has been one of the best places we've ever stayed mate like sunrises here coming up over the range I just epic so fishing hasn't been that hot which we thought of a bit better but anyway it's been bloody bloody brilliant the water here is perfect for the kids you can go and do a few day trips and then today give you a hot tip we're gonna pack up early I'm gonna drop them key back at the homestead and then we're actually gonna go that way back that way we're gonna go up cross yardie creek cuz it's dry so tracks a bit tight we put a few extra pinch drops down the side of the willow but saves us going back yet that access track and that was rough man so that's the plan we'll give you a look at that track and it'll be an X myth Stanek cape range national park where you reckon my Rajaraja cats mango mango spanish what about a spangled emperor hey we've lost him in the rocks either well here we go good job a little bit small but it has that is your first Spain go what do you think of that turn I'll be free hands underneath what a spot me a couple minutes drive you can see our Caravan over here parked up on the beach just straw out little hearty heads in these seen holes bull let's get a bigger one I alright so we're going from Ningaloo station window bendy to Exmouth right and we're going through this track there's only one dip we've got a hit we should be alright but I'll get back to jump here anyway [Music] [Applause] ah yes bear hit the yeah good bumps to play I just gonna get Jack I throw he's got a bit big event it's like 23 foot Crusader semi off-road but I reckon he'll be wrong Oh portal over this bush you'll park along Eli range it will pull him up if we have to drop your bags just fine LD I'll just move this max track creep along it live Miette that's gonna work take out [Music] yeah you're good because that I did the same thing just dropped in respect is a bit of a bump stop and we just slid on the end a couple of treads in their good works and buh buh giddy up here we go yardie creek crossing the caravan on the back tires down to 16 full drive low gear in second and I just got hunch it yeah mate ready to go across we go across the Rd Creek Crossing little bit soft bubble smash through here no worries so my range look at that there's the gorge yeah it's Becky this bits a bit lumpy but to get up here and up and up and up [Music] yeah okay yeah the creek crossing piece of cake hello now go and see how Jacko guys wrote down here right giddyup Oh followed me across I'll come down to fill me in he's up no dramas oh look is that trashed it as a piece of cake I want to say that saved us about two hours in and going back out the one on the roughest roads in history make sure we were pretty smart we drive it first the other day I wouldn't have tackled it all the way here all right a couple of big rigs
