HAS CHANGED FOR US. >> IT REALLY HAS AND WE KNOW OF COURSE THAT IT IS CALIFORNIA AND WE WILL OF COURSE BE IN ANOTHER DROUGHT BUT AS FAR AS IT GOES RIGHT NOW OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS THAT RAINFALL IS ON TAP FOR US IN THE RAIN SEASON IS DOING EXCELLENT. MOST AREAS ARE CLOSE TO 100% OF NORMAL. WE HAD TO START AGAIN WITH SAN JOSE. LOOK AT ALL OF THIS BLUE SKY IF YOU ARE LIKE ME TODAY IT WOULD GO OUTSIDE AND IT WAS HARD TO GO INSIDE. REALLY AMAZING AND IT FELT LIKE SPRING OUTSIDE HOLDING ON TO 65 IN SAN JOSE. A BIT OF A BREEZE OUT OF THE NORTH, NORTHWEST MAKING IT REALLY ENJOYABLE TO BE OUTSIDE WITH 50s ON THE WAY THROUGH TONIGHT. WE ARE DRY IN THIS CURRENT STORM RANGE BUT THE STORM SYSTEM WE ARE TALKING ABOUT IS KNOCKING ON THE DOOR. IT IS JUST OFF TO THE NORTH AND WHAT IS DIFFERENT ABOUT THE STORM SYSTEM, IS THE PATH. THIS ONE IS DROPPING DOWN FROM THE ARCTIC. THAT IS WHY WE HAVE SO MUCH COLD AIR WITH IT AND WE ARE GOING TO SEE THOSE BLIZZARD CONDITIONS IN THE SIERRA AND LOW SNOW FOR THE BAY AREA. CERTAINLY THIS RAIN CHANCES WILL BE HERE AS WELL WITH EVERY OTHER SYSTEM THAT HAS BEEN MOVING IN FROM THE SOUTH. WITH THAT ATMOSPHERIC RIVER AS WELL THIS ONE IS DIFFERENT AND IT WILL HIT US IN A DIFFERENT WAY. LET'S MOVE INTO THE TIMELINE I'M NOT SEEING ANY BIG PROBLEMS FOR THE MORNING COMMUTE. SPOTTY SHOWERS WITH CLOUDS THAT ARE BACK AND WE START TO GET INTO THAT MODERATE RAIN WITH HEAVY DOWNPOURS IN THE NORTH BAY. AND THEY'LL MOVE TO THE EAST BAY PENINSULA AND THE SOUTH BAY THROUGH AROUND 5:00 AND CONTINUE INTO TOMORROW EVENING. WHAT WE ARE REALLY GOING TO BE UNDER AS WE GO TO THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS AND WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU SEE THIS. THERE WILL BE ON-AGAIN AND OFF- AGAIN APPEARANCE OF RAIN. BY 11:00 TOMORROW NIGHT IT STARTS TO BREAK UP AND THEN AS WE GO THROUGH TOMORROW THERE WILL BE SCATTERED RAIN AND THEN WE GET SOME EXTREMELY HEAVY DOWNPOURS BY 9:00 ON FRIDAY. AND THEN WE START TO SEE MORE SCATTERED AREAS OF RAIN GOING INTO SATURDAY'S FORECAST. SO AS OF RIGHT NOW IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE IT WILL BE WALL-TO- WALL RAIN FOR US BUT WE DO KNOW THAT THESE AREAS OF BREAKS WILL BE HERE AND THAT RAINFALL WILL RETURN. THE RAINFALL SMALL TOTALS TOMORROW ARE TOTALLY MANAGEABLE. A QUARTER TO ONE HALF INCH HERE IN THE BAY AREA AND A HALF INCH TOTAL FOR THE NORTH BAY. AS WE GO THROUGH FRIDAY, SPECIFICALLY THE TOTALS GET BUMPED UP A BIT. WE COULD SEE ANYWHERE FROM A QUARTER TO ABOUT THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH FOR MOST OF THE BAY AREA. YOU GO TOWARD GRENVILLE AND YOU WILL BE IN THAT 1 TO 2 INCH RANGE. ON SATURDAY THEY WILL BE ANOTHER ROUND OF A QUARTER TO ABOUT ONE FULL INCH. WE WILL LIKELY SEE AROUND A HALF TO ONE FULL INCH FOR THE EAST BAY HILLS AND RIGHT UP AGAINST THE COASTLINE AS WELL. RAINFALL IS IN STORE FOR US BUT IT LOOKS LIKE WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO AVOID MAJOR FLOODING. I DO THINK THAT THE BULL'S-EYE THAT WE'VE BEEN TELLING YOU ABOUT IS UP ACROSS THE SIERRA. BLIZZARD CONDITIONS ARE HERE AND THIS IS FROM THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY. THE WIND IS UP TO 100 MILES PER HOUR AND ROAD CLOSURES ARE POSSIBLE. AVALANCHE WARNINGS AND YOU HAVE 65 IN TRUCKING AND 69 IN TAHOE. 92 INCUR FLOYD AND SNOW THAT AT TIMES COULD START AROUND PLASTER VILLE AND AUBURN. SO A LOT OF STORM UP THERE FOR THE SIERRA. BACK IN THE BAY AREA KEEP YOUR JACKET ALONG WITH YOUR UMBRELLA. TEMPERATURES IN THE 40s IN YOUR DAYTIME HIGHS DROPPING 10 TO 15 DEGREES. SO WE ARE BACK HERE IN THE 50s. IN YOUR SEVEN DAY FORECAST WE WILL SEE SOME SPOTTY SHOWERS LINGERING INTO SUNDAY. DRY ON MONDAY AND
