M BRING A GOOD AMOUNT OF SNOW. >> IT'S GETTING COOLER. WE SEE A SYSTEM OFFSHORE. COULD THIS BRING MORE SNOW? >> THEY'RE LOOKING REALLY GOOD. IF EVERYTHING STAYS ON TRACK, WE ARE TALKING ABOUT FEET OF SNOW. EXCELLENT NEWS FOR THE SIERRA, FOR OUR DROUGHT. BUT, OF COURSE, LIKE LATELY, IT'S ALL OR NOTHING. WE HAD VERY DRY CONDITIONS THROUGH NOVEMBER. AND HERE WE GO AGAIN. MID TO END OF DECEMBER IS LOOKING UP FOR US, AND WE HAVE BIG-TIME RAINFALL IN THAT FORECAST. A LOOK RIGHT NOW AT STORM RANGER MOBILE DOPPLER RADAR, AND WE HAVE CLOUD COVER OVERHEAD. A LITTLE DRIZZLE MIXING IN. AND THAT'S WHAT WE EXPECT AS WE HEAD THROUGH TONIGHT. I DON'T THINK YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE ANY PROBLEMS. BY TOMORROW MORNING WE'LL BEGIN TO SEE THE CLOUD COVER BREAK UP ACROSS THE NORTH BAY, BUT A PRETTY OVERCAST START BUT THE EAST BAY, PENINSULA AND SOUTH BAY. AND THEN WE SHOULD START TO SEE THE CLOUD COVER MOVE OUT FOR SUNSHINE TOMORROW. TEMPERATURES WILL BE CHILLY, A FEW DEGREES COOLER THAN WHAT WE'VE BEEN USED TO WITH HOTS OF 40s. PENINSULA 43, TRI VALLEY, ALSO HAVE YOU AT 41, AND WE ARE GOING DOWN TO 40 >>>40. IT'S ANOTHER DAY WHERE YOU HAVE THE JACKET. DAYTIME HIGHS TOMORROW DROP OFF A COUPLE MORE DEGREES. DAYTIME HIGHS UP INTO SANTA ROSA, 54 DEGREES. WE STAY WITH MID-50s TO HALF MOON BAY. AND IT LOOKS SIMILAR ANYWHERE YOU TRAVEL THROUGH THE BAY. 56 IN CONCORD. A COOL DAY AS WE ROLL THROUGH TOMORROW, AND THEN LET'S MOVE IT AHEAD TOWARD TWO DIFFERENT CHANGES I WANT TO FOCUS IN ON. THE FIRST CHANGE IS THE COLD BLAST OF AIR AS WE HEAD THROUGH FRIDAY AND SATURDAY MORNING. THAT'S GOING TO BRING MORNING TEMPERATURES DOWN INTO THE 30s. THE SECOND THING WE'RE LOOKING AT HERE IS THE ATMOSPHERIC RIVER LEANING UP ONCE WE HIT SUNDAY AT 4:30 IN THE MORNING. BY SUNDAY NIGHT, THAT ATMOSPHERIC RIVER STARTS TO MOVE DOWN TOWARDS THE SOUTH BAY, THEN WE GET INTO HEAVY RAINFALL MONDAY AND HEAVY, HEAVY SNOW FOR THE SIERRA. I HAVEN'T SEEN ANY CHANGES IN THE FORECAST. EVERYTHING LOOKS ON TRACK. RAINFALL TOTALS ANYWHERE FROM .75 INCHES TO 3 INCHES. WINDS 20-40 MILES PER HOUR. SMALL STREAM FLOODING COULD ALSO BE AN ISSUE FOR YOU, AND I'VE INCREASED THE SNOW TO 2-6 FEET OF SNOW. THE RIGHT HERE IN SAN FRANCISCO, DAYTIME HIGHS ARE EXPECTED IN THE 50s. KEEP THOSE JACKETS HANDY. DUST OFF THE UMBRELLA, AND THROUGH THE INLAND VALLEYS, WE HAVE IT ALL. COLD, COLD MORNINGS COMING IN FRIDAY AND SATURDAY AS WE ARE TOWN INTO THE 30s AND THEN HEAVIER RAIN. THIS IS JUST WHAT WE NEED TO SEE IN DECEMBER. WE ARE GOING TO BE ABLE TO MAKE UP HEADWAY. >> WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS KIND OF FORECAST FOR A WHILE
