bay area gas prices hit record highs see the city where you'll be paying the most to fill up plus uc berkeley is significantly cutting student enrollment this upcoming year that and more news coming up [Music] hey everyone it's time to get a carpool buddy gas prices in the bay area have hit record highs averaging well over five bucks a gallon recent data from aaa shows some local cities have seen almost a 30 percent increase just over this last week take a look what are you doing to try to save money on gas spill your secrets come on we need to know okay aspiring cal students listen up the university will be accepting at least 3 000 fewer undergraduate students than it planned for this upcoming year this is because of a recent supreme court ruling ordering the university to freeze its enrollment numbers to reduce the impact on the community a group of berkeley residents had sued the university for accepting too many students without providing enough housing for them uc berkeley is trying to appeal but in the meantime it says it'll have to adhere to the enrollment freeze all right here's something to binge this weekend silicon valley meets hollywood in the new show the dropout it's a new hulu series about the infamous elizabeth holmes and her silicon valley company theranose it depicts the early years of her career and the failed startup amanda seyfried stars as holmes herself co-star william h macy says she really got into character nailing down that distinguishable holmes voice and so to change her voice like that and to create this persona that she did for elizabeth holmes was an astounding feat i don't know how she did it um i think she'd be an actor um and uh i think it must have been really tough for amanda the dropout is streaming now on hulu i gotta watch that series all right that's all i've got for you today have a great weekend bye
