BARRY MORPHEW TIMELINE: Before & After Suzanne Morphew's Disappearance.Uh.Oh.

welcome to what's the crime i'm linda and today  we're going to be doing a little dive into barry   morphy's timeline in the suzanne morpheu case  if you are a regular viewer you know how much   i love timelines so today we're going to get into  the timeline from barry morphy's point of view in   the days leading up to suzanne's disappearance and  after but before i get into it if you'd like to it now before i get into the timeline i'd  like to highlight a few points about barry   susanna berry have been married for 26 years and  just had a wedding anniversary in august of this   year they have two girls together one of them is  in college and one of them is still living at home   barry has a landscaping business and is a  volunteer firefighter he actually started   firefighting at the end of 2018. now an  interesting quote i did hear when it comes   to barry being a firefighter is barry is a great  firefighter drops anything to help anyone and is   very committed to what he's doing and according to  barry's brother-in-law and suzanne's brother andy   mormon he says that barry is an avid hunter and  an expert tracker now barry did not participate   in the recent search for suzanne organized by her  brother andy and barry has just put up their puma   path home for sale this was just as of yesterday i  believe which would be october 5th and also barry   adamantly denies any involvement with suzanne's  disappearance he stated that the police has   botched the evidence now i'm going to dive into  a few days before suzanne was reported missing   as you know she was reported missing on sunday may  the 10th on mother's day but clues are actually   leading now to before that now i'm going to go a  little bit before that and just go a week before   on monday may 4th i was actually sent an email  that had pictures of an area with old cabins   and a quarry in a ghost town near salida and i did  remember though that there was a fire i remembered   reading something about that and i  looked it up and here's what i found   on monday may 4th there was a fire in arborville  colorado and it was a little ghost town   but my question is was barry there as  a volunteer firefighter in that area   that day putting the fire out i'm just really  curious i thought i'd put it out there let me know   if you know that answer in the comments below it  did catch my eye stay tuned for more information   on that all right now to the official timeline  five days later on friday may the 8th morgan   gentile barry's employee states in an interview  that barry started working at the riverfront site   located on de vere road and county line 105 on  friday night they just call it the riverfront   property from this point forward now this is also  the first day that authorities wanted neighbors   to check out their videos and their cameras and go  through the camera footage from this day which is   friday may 8th right until tuesday may the  12th law enforcement wanted people to just   hang on to the footage though and not to turn it  in and i am curious if law enforcement ended up   having any information or getting any information  from these neighbors or if they talk to anybody   about it now the next day on saturday may 9th  just one day before suzanne was reported missing   in the morning morgan said barry picked her up  and they went to the riverfront property barry   wanted her to rake the beach and level it out she  planned to be there all day but only worked until   11am and she said barry mentioned he had to go and  make the wife happy by doing some hiking or biking   now morgan stated that she later heard  that he was actually out shopping in town   all day she said that barry did seem stressed and  he was acting weird that day and saturday when he   picked me up he had asked me to clean it up and  break it out because we were going to add the   bring it up to level so that  way it was a beach sand and not   look that area is a construction site off  county road 105 east of salida no no it   needs to be flat flat flat now like he was  acting really weird about it and i was like   very like what's up you know and he seemed  like i don't know stressed he definitely seemed   weird on saturday i was planning to working  all day that day but we only worked till 11   and he said that he had to go uh make  the wife happy do some hiking or biking   and uh i found out like later that day that  he was in town all day now i find a few things   interesting about the statements that morgan makes  number one she says barry's acting odd and seems   stressed actually her words were weird number two  she expected to work all day but actually only   worked until 11 a.m number three barry said he  had to go make his wife happy and do some hiking   or biking but what's interesting is to me this  last statement actually gets my attention i do   wonder if he actually did any biking or hiking  first and if so where did they go and if not   what did they do in the early afternoon were they  in town shopping by the afternoon reports say   that suzanne's close friend was texting her back  and forth about one of her kids upcoming wedding   i do know though when it comes to the phones  as we've seen many times that the reception   is pretty spotty in that area now at 4 p.m it's  reported that barry and suzanne were seen getting   a sandwich in salida my question is did they eat  it there or did they go back to the house also   who was it that reported seeing them there that's  important now in the early evening reports say   that communication with suzanne's friend suddenly  stopped and in the evening by midnight suzanne's   facebook account starts friend requesting a bunch  of men andy's age andy says and then later that   night oddly enough my sister friended a whole  bunch of people on facebook that are my age that   i went to school with that was completely strange  or different from what she normally would do so i   honestly believe somebody else was manipulating  her facebook on saturday now this friend   requesting spree is important i've said it in a  previous video and i bring this up for a reason   stay tuned in this timeline in this video because  there's another clue that may tie into this and i   believe it does and it happens a week later so  this is also important because at this point in   my opinion this could be setting things up for an  abduction theory or tactic so my question is who   else other than suzanne has access to her facebook  account and i did mention this also in a previous   video from what's been said about suzanne this is  unlikely behavior from her i also wonder what time   suzanne goes to sleep and i also feel like suzanne  would not be doing this type of thing now on   sunday may 10th which is mother's day which  is the day that suzanne was reported missing   in the middle of the night so we have facebook  at midnight and in the middle of the night   a neighbor of the riverfront property hears  machinery operating in the middle of the night   she says at the very first i thought it was a  truck or something maybe parked in my driveway   or something but no it kept running she said  the noise sounded like machinery or construction   equipment that lasted for about a half an hour  she says i sat up in bed and said what's going   on this time of night that's ridiculous at first  the very first i thought maybe some truck i know   they better be parked in my driveway or something  but no then it just kept running and it just   seemed in the same direction when it was over  there and i've been hearing all this noise for   i can say quite a while mary says she has a good  memory but is hard of hearing she says the noise   had to have been really loud to have woken her up  i've been hearing those machines for quite a while   and i thought it sounded like one of them running  and i sat up in bed and i said there's one of them   what's going on this time of night you know that's  ridiculous unless they had orders to move it or   something so i laid there and listened and kept  going and going and going for about a half an hour   i finally got up to check and as i opened the  back door it stopped and so i thought maybe   they were just moving something or what  and i saw i did not go out to investigate   now it actually takes 20 minutes to get from  barry's house to the riverfront property site   we do know that the neighbor is talking about  the construction site that barry was hired to   do work on which is the riverfront property  and she hears equipment running we also know   that cadaver dogs hit on this property  during the search with andy mormon and both   towns salida and maysville are very small in fact  maysville is something like 150 or 175 people so   something teeny tiny and salida is around 6 500  i believe i think it's actually 135 in maysville   so when you live in a small town you get to know  really quickly when the town goes quiet when's the   busy time so to speak everybody knows everything  about everybody pretty much so the person who is   operating this equipment would do so obviously  in the dark if it's in the middle of the night   so i do wonder if barry was the only contractor  that weekend at that job site now one other   thing i want to point out as well and i'm  just digging into this is regarding the   bobcat meaning the machine i don't know the exact  model of it but i am aware that barry likes to   drive it everywhere and there's reports that he  takes it everywhere with them or almost everywhere   with them and i decided to take a little peek  at the bobcat website and they had a video and   when i'm looking at it from a suzanne perspective  or a missing person's perspective and then i look   at the video it's kind of chilling in my opinion  i'm looking at it a different light obviously   now you can have several attachments on this  thing and i just want to give you a little bit   of a clip so you can see the potential this  animal or i mean this bobcat machine can do and it takes around 20 minutes to get from barry's  property to the riverfront property so let's just   say at the 12 o'clock midnight mark this happens  with facebook it takes about a half an hour so   like that 12 30 mark maybe to get there uh do some  things around the property and then get back home   maybe that's a half an hour like the neighbor  said so that'd be like 1am and then 1 30 return   home and who knows right that's just something  that i'm very curious actually i'm very curious   to know what time the neighbor actually heard  the noise she says middle of the night but i   wonder if she knows the exact time very very  very very curious now at 4am it's noted that   barry is rambling down the road and texting  to gather people to go to this broomfield job   now morgan states that the plans actually  changed last minute in an interview okay so   barry's vehicle information doesn't line up with  what he said and morgan states he called me that   sunday mother's day and i hung up the phone and  thought he just had the worst night of his life   so also i do want to point out besides barry's  timeline not lining up with the vehicle data   he also had an inconsistency with his bobcat  and the timeline he admitted there was an   inconsistency and he says that it was only because  i didn't know the time that i did something   a mechanical thing to my bobcat i was confused  and i just found out my wife was missing and i   was a little bit not in my right mind when  they were asking me these questions but i   did the best i could and i answered everything i  never once declined any interview so this gets me   wondering now and trying to connect the dots  was he inconsistent in his timeline because he   was doing a mechanical thing to his bobcat late  saturday night or into the early hours of sunday   morning really really really would love to know  now by 5 a.m barry reported that he talked to   suzanne and asked if he was okay to go to denver  doing this job because he knew it was mother's day   he said that in tyson draper's video and he also  reported that he saw suzanne but he didn't talk   to her because she was sleeping and just gave her  a kiss i think was on the forehead or something   like that and then headed to denver now with  this inconsistency in his data with his vehicle   and what he's saying andy mormon was saying  well listen how can you be at home at 5   00 a.m when you're at 4 00 a.m trying to  figure things out and going to broomfield   so my question on this though is if he was at 4 00  a.m texting everybody then what's the rush right   why is he trying to gather everyone at 4am to go  to denver also it sparks the question why did he   wait there all day if he was setting up a job what  did he do on the job exactly now it would take him   three hours to get to broomfield from salida  which he would be there if he left at five a.m   he'd be there at around 8 a.m and he didn't  leave the hotel to go back to salida until   6 pm which is 10 hours later so the question  is was he waiting for a call was he coming back   home did he have dinner reservations or dinner  plans now barry told morgan that he had been in   broomfield all day morgan questioned what he did  all day because she said she saw about 30 minutes   worth of work and wondered what the heck he did  now in tyson's video with barry he states that   he went to denver on sunday to set the job up  for his workers on monday so again why all of   a sudden the rush to have the workers come out  on sunday did he get a call to do the job early   everyone could have left really at from salida at  5 00 a.m and be at the job site by 8 a.m on monday   and sunday was also mother's day as we all know  and all these guys did was sit around since they   didn't have the correct tools to begin with so  let's rewind a little bit 5 a.m he would leave 8   a.m if he did leave around five he would get there  at eight so the question is what time did he check   into the hotel and when did he book the hotel was  it when he got there or was it on his phone or how   did he book it now morgan also said he looked like  he did a half an hour work right like i mentioned   where where was it because according to jeff he  didn't even see that location now later in the day   morgan and jeff and another worker show up cassidy  cordova it is the name from my understanding now   we heard from both morgan and jeff but cassidy  has declined to give an interview to lauren scharf   now with morgan and jeff they talked about how the  room reaped like chlorine and that there were wet   towels on the floor something to note as well and  he stated that their home smelled like chlorine   as well i think that's a very interesting and  important piece it does connect some of these   dots together now this is what i question  if barry had the worst night of his life   like morgan said then perhaps barry never slept  right so let's just say barry was up until   4 00 a.m he calls to coordinate the job then  has to drive another three hours to broomfield   so potentially he would have been up for  at least 24 hours at this point or longer   since we know he was with morgan the day before  at the riverfront property in the morning so   even if he was at there at seven or let's just  even say 8 a.m that is i mean a good 24 hours   so what potentially could have happened is he just  simply needed to sleep at the hotel so let's say   he did get there at 8 a.m that morning he needs  a shower towels are on the floor and they're wet   and then he goes to sleep and even if we had about  six to eight hours of sleep that would make it   until 2 30 to 4 30 ish in the afternoon now  remember morgan said it only looked like he   did a half an hour work and she wondered what he  did all day by the time they got there perhaps   he was sleeping she also stated that it looked  like somebody slept on the bed but it wasn't   made by one of the staff at the hotel when she saw  it the towels were like super wet on the floor and   uh it looked like he had like made the bed before  he left but it wasn't made by a hotel clerk   and so one more question would be why would  barry need sleep what kept him up all night   and also i want to note that if he was setting  that job up then why did he not provide the proper   tools the workers said that he had a bunch of  tools in a hotel cart and morgan said it looked   like he just emptied out his truck and they  didn't even have the proper tools so this is   another important thing to note now investigators  have asked every business near the holiday inn   in broomfield to turn over video that was  shot between thursday may 7th and sunday   may 10th okay so back in salida suzanne's girls  were on a camping trip they call their mom   to wish her a happy mother's day but  she doesn't answer then they call barry   saying hey can't get a hold of mom barry calls  the neighbor the neighbor goes to the house sees   the cars are still there tells barry barry says  well what about the bike and the neighbor goes   back and checks and then tells barry nope no bike  by 5 46 pm the call goes in reporting suzanne is   missing i want to know who decided to make the  phone call and in tyson's video barry does say   he's worried or he says you know they are  worried or the neighbor is worried he says well   i am too but it's not clear who actually made  that call i wish we had that call to hear it   i think it's going to be very interesting  when it does come out if it comes out   so barry then tells the crew jeff and morgan that  he has a family emergency and he needs to leave   also i want to know jeffrey puckett stated that he  found insurance papers in the garbage at the hotel   he also called it foul play he said that it  was either foul play or an alien abduction   and said that the alien abduction obviously  would be far-fetched and when it came to this   insurance papers he says some of it was from an  insurance company like insuring your property   that kind of thing he says it's kind of weird  my first thought was that this must be like an   alibi that's what it felt like i hope they  find her live but it's been a long time   so on this day too the search for suzanne is on  now by 9 pm in the video with tyson draper barry   states that he gets back from denver at 9. he also  states in tyson's video that they found the bike   and that the investigators botched the job he  says my buddy was there right after that and he   said they completely destroyed the evidence and he  tried to stop them but they wouldn't listen to him   and said this is not csi there's no evidence for  the investigators to see because the sheriff's   department completely obliterated it then he says  the sheriff's department screwed this whole thing   up from the beginning and now they are trying  to cover it up and blame it on me my question   is though who found that bike first in the dark  and how quickly from that 5 46 pm phone call   did they find the bike now trevor knoll barry's  nephew reported the bike was found on sunday night   interestingly the authorities did not announce  that now the next day on monday may the 11th   the concrete foundation is poured at that  riverfront property and the search resumes with   the sheriff's office after an overnight break they  take a break they go back and they start searching   again for suzanne that included law enforcement  on foot drones divers aircraft water rescue units   and various canines now barry that morning on that  monday calls morgan crying and tells her suzanne   is missing and a mountain lion must have got her  he says they were going up the mountain to search   we're gonna find her i'm wondering who's we he  tells morgan and jeff to stay in broomfield and   wait for supplies to be delivered for the job  he says wait until 11 o'clock to get the brick   it never arrived morgan said she didn't want  to bother barry with this since his wife was   missing and obviously he has some bigger issues  on hand or as i say big bigger bananas to fry   now by the evening andy arrives in town to help  look for his sister and bury in some friends   meet with him and they figure out a plan to search  for suzanne this is the last day that barry talked   to andy now on tuesday may 12th law enforcement  continue their search for suzanne there's no   request for volunteers that was made and barry  andy and friends divide into teams to search they   weren't allowed to search where law enforcement  was actively searching but they could cover   the area already searched andy and barry were on  separate teams but at one point it was noted that   a member of andy's team separated from the group  they backtracked to find him he was later located   at the home where barry morphy was staying and  they were saying a week later the personal article   belonging to suzanne was found about 20 yards  from the trail where andy's team was searching   and the question where i was reading was were  they meant to find it so that was interesting   now also on this day this tuesday morgan and jeff  come home jeff state said he was ticked off and   didn't want to wait there any longer so they came  home they didn't have a job to do and didn't have   enough tools or and they didn't have brick now  once home morgan said that a friend and family   member of berries told morgan we would give you  your paycheck but we don't want it to look like   hush hush money you have rights but you don't  have to give cbi your phone and what kind of weird   statement is that i mean truly we would give you  your paycheck but we don't want it to look like   hush hush money that's a super odd statement then  it's followed by you have rights but you don't   have to give cbi your phone why wouldn't a family  member and a friend of berries not want morgan to   hand over her phone and why would they say they  would give her her paycheck but didn't want it   to look like hush-hush money was it substantially  larger than what she would have normally received   or did they mean that because it's an exchange  of money this is super odd behavior and super   odd wording in my opinion then barry fires morgan  via text message and she says he fired me because   i gave up my phone i wasn't staying quiet and  i was complying with cbi i feel like if he was   innocent he would have had he would have talked to  me i worked with him every day for a long time and   barry called her a meth head and he called jeff  a meth head and said he's been in prison for nine   years so he fires back at morgan about her being  fired and he says this she's mad at me because   i fired her and don't let her work for me anymore  she's mad so she's not going to say anything good   about me morgan did state in that interview with  lauren sharp she said that she's scared of barry   and she never wants to see him ever again now  also on this tuesday may the 12th it's a busy day   the workers come back to town and barry  is out searching for suzanne with somebody   and they stop off at a spot where he says  it would be a good place to look because   if someone wanted to throw someone over  the bluffs it'd be a great place to look   something to that effect the person who was with  barry thought it was very odd and barry lies down   on the ground and is exhausted and is shown in  this picture notable is there weren't any cliffs   at that area now also later in the evening at  around 8 p.m barry was observed by an employee   at the pancha market digging in a trash can and  the market closed at 7 pm upon being questioned   barry states he's looking for the bike helmet  and then shortly after barry taps on the market   window and when they let him in he stated that his  wife was missing when they asked for a description   he approaches the manager at the pancha market  and scribbles down three items on the crumpled   receipt nothing about suzanne and her description  but three things to look out for her helmet   her biking clothing and a baby blue bike oddly  though if they already found the bike on sunday   why is he including the bike and it's odd and the  manager from the market said it's odd as well and   if a mountain lion got her according to barry why  is he looking for a helmet in the trash can pretty   sure the mountain lion wouldn't carry it there now  the very next day sheriff john spezi tells cbs4   the probability of an animal attack is not very  high and then the sheriff's office blocked the   road off on the highway that leads to the morphe  residents now in and around this time barry tells   the daily mail when they wanted to interview him  that it's just too soon to do an interview i find   that very interesting wording too soon for what  also on this day the find suzanne murphy facebook   page was created by barry's nephew trevor noel  also a gofundme was created by trevor as well   and i did notice the gofundme account has changed  a few times as to who the beneficiary is i believe   in the beginning the very beginning it was barry  then it changed to barry's mom shirley morphew and   then it's changed now to barry's daughter mallory  that same day as well there was a hundred thousand   dollar reward that was offered and a friend  matches it for a total of two hundred thousand   by thursday may the 14th fbi are now involved  friday may 15th the personal items were found   and the road is shut down on the highway it says  in the area of county road 225 and highway 50   we did find items that we believe were personal  items of suzanne morphew and that launched a   bigger search we had today which included the  full closure of highway 50 in monarch pass   the announcement for the video from the  8th to the 12th is requested on this day   and here's what sheriff john spezi says about that  he says one of the most helpful ways the community   can aid in the search of suzanne mooreview is by  preserving these recordings we are aware that some   systems override video after several days and we  want to ensure video remains available if needed   this was the day of the press release from sheriff  john speesy now two days later on sunday may 17th   here's where it gets very interesting suzanne has  been missing for at least a week at this point   and remember when i talked about the friend  requests on the saturday night at midnight   well here's where this comes into play  the requests were made to men in indiana   that were of andy's age and here's where we  start connecting the dots there was a check-in   on suzanne's facebook and it stated the check-in  was in alexandria indiana where she's from this   is why i think this could be part of the abduction  theory or tactic friend request made at midnight   she's putting herself in harm's way by friending  all these guys so to speak then a week later she   checks into alexandria doesn't talk to anyone no  one sees anything i want to know who checked in on   facebook and from what device we do know facebook  can do that but perhaps the person responsible   does not or clearly does not again who has  access to suzanne's facebook page if not suzanne   now it takes 19 hours to drive from  salida to alexandria and one could say   it would take days to get there if you only drove  you know six hours a day not if you're andy mormon   but let's just say somebody  goes on a leisurely track there   for six hour days we take three days so these  two things are starting to speak loudly to me   if we take a look at suzanne's facebook we will  see there's a lot of things hidden you see her   about me it's blank we see friends they're blank  there it's hidden but yet here is the check-in and   it's public and think about this if suzanne was  checking in with her phone let's say she would   need to be able to access it some way why would  she check in after being missing an entire week   without talking to her daughters or anyone  she doesn't have a bike she doesn't have a   vehicle so does that leave it to an abductor and  does it make it look like one of the guys that   she friend requested was the guy that came  and abducted her from alexandria and then   checks in you see what i'm saying this is highly  highly suspicious it's a big red flag and i feel   like the two are connected in my opinion if  it's not suzanne that checked in then who did   and if it's an abductor they wouldn't be  checking in to tell on themselves on facebook   as to where the location is and if it's barry  then the question is why is he doing a check-in   in alexandria on suzanne's facebook right now  here's where it gets even more interesting   this day that the check-in happens also is the day  that barry murphy makes his 25-second video plea   pleading for the re safe return of suzanne  and he'll give any amount whoever has her   it's different and i mentioned this before it's  different than what we normally see we usually   see the family coming to the media speaking out  doing as many things as possible to get the word   out there and this is a very controlled video from  barry he's in control he's saying what he wants to   say he's putting out just enough that 25 seconds  he says oh suzanne if anyone is out there and can   hear this that has you please we'll do whatever  it takes to bring you back we love you we miss   you your girls need you no questions asked however  much they want i will do whatever it takes to get   you back honey i love you i want you back so bad  now from my understanding if it was this type of   situation an abduction the family member would  or could be guided by authorities in what to say   if it was this situation obviously it would be  highly sensitive notice though there wasn't a   response from an abductor two hundred thousand  dollars is quite a paycheck no questions asked   notable as well authorities won't acknowledge the  reward money and also didn't help in the creation   of this video the question is who helped barry  create that video and i wonder how many times   it took to create it and what prompted barry  is the bigger question to put out this video   addressing whoever has you i thought the mountain  lion had her so what new information did barry get   to believe enough that he need to get on camera  and address the abductors right but he does have   information here that there were friend requests  and a check-in that same day of the video did   somebody tell him or did he already know last i  checked mountain lions don't watch social media   now another notable piece in this timeline after  barry's video was posted that is the last time   trevor knowl posts on the find suzanne morphew  page very interesting now just two days after   his plea video the authorities cordoned off his  house and search it for 11 days now side note   by this time barry didn't have his vehicle or his  phone and he's been staying with his friend at   this point and talking to through through him  now a crime scene expert on crime online says   this she was talking about the length of time the  authorities were searching at the house being 11   days and she said if i have a crime scene that  i cordoned off for 11 days i've found something   substantial i'm going to use luminol i'm going  to recreate what i think i have found i'm putting   strings up i'm doing day and night photography i'm  listing everything i'm going to use a 360 camera   i'm going to do everything i can to show what i  believe occurred in that house this is long past   collected evidence this is recreating a crime  scene so wednesday may 20th they're searching   the 21st they go for 11 days by friday may 22nd  they start searching the riverfront property and   they search it for three days a chunk of cement is  removed from there and the owner says there was an   x-ray type device that was used at the end of it  though they're saying there was nothing to connect   anything to the suzanne morpheu case now by may  26th the house was turned over now on june 1st   which would be about three weeks after suzanne was  reported missing barry morphy files a petition for   guardianship the petition states that suzanne  morphy is deemed incapacitated under indiana   law because she cannot be located upon reasonable  inquiry and the document also states that barry   morphy was requesting to sell real estate in  indiana on behalf of suzanne who is the joint   owner of that property and is currently  in contract and scheduled to close on june   6th so it's my understanding that the house was  up for sale and possession was on june 6th and   he went there and applied for guardianship it says  the need exists for the appointment of a guardian   of the alleged incapacitated person in that she  cannot be located upon reasonable inquiry and   property in hamilton county indiana needs to be  sold it says that the court documents show that   suzanne and barry morphy's eldest daughter who  is an adult provided consent for her father to   be appointed guardianship of suzanne and this day  was also a busy day because this was the same day   that tyson draper had a video that he shot  of barry and you can see that video here and   i will also put it in the description below so  you can check out the original from tyson draper   now there's quite a few points in that video  too but i'm still talking about this triangle   and i think i'm gonna do another video on that so  stay tuned now if we fast forward another month   july 9th this is the second time the house was  searched and it's hard to get another search   warrant you have to have probable cause so it's  it's a difficult thing they've already searched   once and now they're coming back again  and asking for it and this is significant   so now barry has actually put up that house  for sale on puma path he actually bought his   longhorn drive property in salida and it's also  said he bought a new truck and a new motorcycle   but all the new shiny
