Band of Brothers Season 1 Episode 1 / Welcome to easy company! First time watching!!

hello everybody good news I broke my fever um I still have a have a cough I think that's going to last for a little bit but that's okay um everything I needed everything else to kind I needed my eyes to stay open so I'm really happy about that um today we're going to watch band of brothers that's what w won our Monday slot over in my patreon I don't know anything about it I'm literally looking at the HBO um cover photo and it's three guys arm in arm in military outfits I seem to be kind of older so I think this is going to break my heart we watched some intense stuff um but that's about all I know I see here that it's made in 2001 but a lot of y'all were really looking forward to it so I am too and without further Ado this is episode one season 1 of Band of Brothers I always got to make sure my captions are on or else I can't I can't listen and that store told us to put our uni in a war with Japan maybe was just dumb country people but who would like to volunteer for the Air Force Navy or whatever they said who would like to volunteer for the Airborne so I say what the hell is the Airborne yeah what I don't know I don't know what that is either small town and three in that town were that were four F because they couldn't go at different time that is a different time I medals I didn't do them for accolades I did them because it's what had to be done so I'm assuming this is going to be more of a documentary kind of style of show um which is interesting but it also going to hit a little bit more home because it is going to be a personal account of each individual and it's going to be it we have to remember that and when it comes to these different periods in time and what our older Generations have experienced it really is a different world than what we are experiencing now and shows like these I consider to be important because we need to be able to understand and learn right I know I know sometimes it's difficult because a lot of old uh traditional ideal ideals are maybe not compatible with a lot of Our Generation now but it's still something that we can respect and learn from because like like he says um he you do you did what you had to like at that time you know what I mean said will you jump out of airplanes and then I don't know what it was brought it up in the the so that made it 100 bucks I was always interested in history like this um because man it really makes you realize how far we've come and how different the world is changing and the the world is and unfortunately it's all because of everything that's unfortunately but also fortunately you know Tom [Music] Hanks honestly I can't imagine like I know this was part of life back then but I can't imagine just you know one day you have your husband the next day he's being shipped off like it it's pretty [Music] scary I don't I don't know sometimes I like to I like to put myself in people's shoes and and character shoes and I I one of the common questions I asked my myself is what kind of head space do you have to put yourself in you know like what thoughts would you be having would you be thinking about your family would you think about what's ahead what you think about yourself like what kind of head space do you need to be in I think that obviously changes from person to person whatever is their own Comfort but still it it's just a little anxious heart pumped myself up to something that I know is you know puts fear me anxiety this and that you know you're you're basically especially when it comes to war you're basically you could die so you have to result to your death right like I get that but um I guess what I'm saying is I don't know if this character is that common or if they just have a bad Sergeant a strict sergeant you thinking in your regiment o I want the names of six men they infractions and your dis by 0130 is that clear okay the standards are being set for sure and they are very very high I don't think he's joking around he he wants this to be the best company out there and I think I like to give the benefit of Doubt and always say that he's doing this for their benefit so when they're out there in the middle of War they record in the entire second Battalion for examp like whenever you go through a hardship with someone it creates a bond um and these essentially these are going to be your comrades literally right next to you out in the field right it's important to fully understand them they understand you you'll have each other's backs as well I believe every bit of that is congratulations Captain so thank you sir going to continue an episode two with this or we're going to go on to a different department of the army cuz that would be interesting but also I want to see what happens to our characters but I'm going wait till episode two to find out oh this is going to be so so sentimental it's going to be heartbreaking I know and World War II for me every time I read about it learn about it I I truly cannot wrap my head over the fact that that is a part of human history and that we overcame that like truly from any angle it's it it's it's it's it's tough and a dark part of History um so it it it's
