[Music] [Music] we're here at Arrow 2023 it's the last day but before I left I had to come and look at this airplane it's the swan but there's something wrong about the swan yes the engine fell or something I'm Dan Johnson talking to Radu berso I think I say that correctly almost almost correctly and I want you to tell me ru what's different about this airplane everything is changing so uh swan has changed also I see uh because uh uh a lot of people ask uh for um U more usual shape we changed the engine from uh the tube above uh to a normal uh and usual position uh more or less the specification are the same uh here inside there is a polini 303 T engine but uh in the same position we can put an electric system okay so you offer it both ways both ways you can have electric or you can have have it uh uh combustion electric uh we use uh semi solid batteries the last one uh uh they say uh technology that mean we have 285 wat hour per kilogram the rest are at 200 220 240 we use the semisolid they are square like that the batteries and with the batteries we have uh in both of them uh you can fly normally 75 minutes 1 hour and 50 minutes and for this kind of aircraft 20 right that's quite a bit of flying in all light aircraft yes yes yes now is that 1 hour and 15 minutes and then nothing so you should plan ahead from from from from 100% batteries to 25% batteries you you are not allowed to discharge too much because the life of the battery will go very quickly I see okay so it's about battery life that limits that time somewh yes no you have 600 cycles of battery but uh the weight of the battery we use is 42 kilos 42 kilos okay and replace the engine uh the fuel tank uh it's almost the same the same total weight ah okay okay so does this airplanes still meet uh 120 kilo class sure sure the engine moving down did not change a weight too much no no no no almost almost at all and uh 103 it's uh compatible it's a pretty significant change you made that had a you had to have a strong enough yes component here to hold theine it was a tube like that and the engine here and yeah about out to here something like this so it just dropped down here exactly in the same position almost okay that's a handsome change but I looked at it and I went there's something wrong with the SW yes yes and uh we work a little because the cooling is is quite complicated with polini uh this is the cooling for for the house and um this is the the liquid radiator but there is an exhaust uh because no matter how many holes you make if the air doesn't go out you will not have a good uh cooling system cooling is not just going in it's also going going out exactly it goes out as heat of course but okay yeah excellent okay okay well I think that's great now uh people were very inter interested in the swan when we have reported this in the US um loved it it was my problem with the US is um the the transportation price yeah now container the container it's almost $10,000 and um uh you don't know how many months uh it will it will make on on the ocean uh so my main problem now to export in the US is the transportation not the price not the customers anything but the transportation if I will find because we cannot sell this aircraft as a kit it's it's made only in molds everything it's in molds I can I can make it without painting but otherwise I I I cannot sell something in kit a wing it's it's made in molds in vacuum in temperature so so I I need a homeowner cannot do this exactly and uh and uh I I need to export them as they are as as finishing aircraft so finish aircraft in a big container maybe I can put three that mean the transportation cost will be, 3,500 about 10% of the airplane cost yes if you're shipping a a cirrus yes okay the airplane cost 1 million so if it's $2,000 or $10,000 to ship it it's a small expense but for this airplane it's a big expense yeah exactly well we hope this will change but you can't affect that so you can only do the best you can do before covid from Romania to United States it was $2,000 it went up five times exactly now it's $10,000 wow okay that's difficult we hope that will change because we need more of your airplanes in America okay we will found the solution but here's a busy man now you have a lot you have a composite background yes that's why you can do this make this change and it's not so hard for you for somebody else it would be difficult but no no no for me it's easy this is your work here composite right in other things you do trains and exactly projects so this is kind of easy work in a way huh it's U my passion I see your smile coming out I I am not I am not leaving uh uh to do small airplanes but it's my passion and uh I will keep doing I hope your passion continues exactly even
