Federal Aviation regulations with recording approved by silver Airways while you see the full flight represented in this video it's important to remember that it's edited for time and entertainment purposes and is not intended to show you every procedure in detail there are no passengers on board our aircraft as we take on our repositioning Mission from Orlando to Tampa I'll be commenting throughout the whole video to give you some context to certain situations but this is absolutely not a how to fly an ATR video so with that being said let me tell you about the flight we're doing a repositioning flight today from Orlando International to Tampa International we need to get the plane over there so we can take passengers to their destinations for the dead our flight today is just over 70 miles but before we take this repositioning flight let me tell you a little bit about silver Airways we're a friendly Regional Airline headquartered in Fort Lauderdale we have an all ATR Fleet mostly planted with our distinctive color as the name suggests fuchsia not silver at all fuchsia and then some of them are white we've done flamingos on our tail and smiles on our faces as we fly for you [Music] for the transitions [Applause] before propeller rotation checklist a common question that I get about the ATR is about the prop break and what it is well on Engine 2 on the ATL we can start it in a Thing Called Hotel mode what that means is basically we start the engine without rotating the propeller what that does for us is gives us electrical power to the aircraft along with air conditioning and we don't need the use of a GPU anymore so we can disconnect that the propeller isn't spinning it's held in place hydraulically and it doesn't spin until we release the prop break in a procedure that you'll see in the video could get away this morning without these but yeah I was thinking the same yeah I got mine ready to go at least we're going west parking brake set the pins earlier yep two here just wait for the uh the north all right so it's clear for tax procedures standby it takes about 15 seconds after we press the auxiliary uh hydraulic pump before there's enough pressure in the system to be able to release the prop brake and that's what the captain is waiting for now it's a 463 new departure frequency Auto single Channel check as in the previous video that I serviced by an approach light system uh if we end up going missed it's straight ahead to 600 left turn to 2800 160 on the head in on the 138 radio from PI and then out to the missed approaches down here everything is in the the FMS it's all set up with the Gibbs as the hold and it's got the course of 187. uh if the landing is successful uh it will be a right turn off we're on the descent into Tampa International now to land on Runway one nine left there is a crosswind from the left side that I'm gonna have to deal with but it's well below the maximum for the ATR 42.
