hello and welcome to ralph the movie maker this movie is titled the top the fourth wall the movie it's a movie directed by and written by louis lovehogg although this isn't technically a channel awesome movie at its core it's what a channel awesome movie is which is a bunch of dumb references to science fiction movies much like doug walker he made a film based on his review show where characters that had been established in the world of his reviews all have time to shine in a full-length feature film it's such a bad idea it's just annoying and lame you're here to kill me [Music] atop the fourth wall of the movie was uploaded to youtube in parts and it was released over the course of a couple days while i was watching atop the fourth wall of the movie i was mostly just mocking linkara you're alive you're alive there's a theme song at the opening of this movie imagine just shouting link hara over and over again that's the song it's just lankara the art design is atrocious they show the poster for the movie in the opening credits and instead of any kind of studio logos at the beginning it is just the logo for atop the fourth wall all of those to boldly flee people are in the movie this guy was in to boldly flee spoonie nostalgia critic most of these characters didn't need to be in the movie they didn't serve much of a function in the story a lot of them are just cameos for the fans of those channel awesome movies from the kailasus everyone says kyle estus differently like dog in this scene says it differently the spaceship kyle's tiss good job doug for now let's focus on lankara's acting days is that because i saved the world from the entity me because i'm awesome i've edited together an acting compilation won't be the last time either now go away we are never going to be friends you are the best friend ever i am drunk because i am awesome his fake drunk is terrible i you guys ever stop and ask yourselves how did i get here look link carl what are we doing here what am i still doing here this is pretty depressing what do i have going for me that makes me want to see my next birthday he goes to a bar hangs out with his friend and then the following night he goes to the exact same bar and hangs out with his friend it looks like the same scene they didn't change anything at all they probably shot it on the same day what is the story being told here what are these horrible jokes i hear you're letting your fans vote on what to name the craft yeah they're going for vigilant though i think i'm gonna go with comicron instead defying what the people voted for never a good idea yeah but it's not their ship now is it this scene can be cut out five minutes of a completely pointless scene there's a summary for this film on the atop the fourth wall wiki i'm going to be reading from that periodically on linkara's birthday a government spaceship called the spaceship kyle's tis kyla's tiss is on a mission to check out a strange debrief field near jupiter but when the government loses communication with the ship when kara's government liaison allen recruits him and comicron 1 to track it down at first alan and lenkara don't get along but then a title card appears that says four years later and now they're best friends when kara has some dreams about makakara he has flashbacks too to boldly flee if you do remember the plot hole from tiboldi flee he talks to some robot chicken thing in the kitchen before recording his video he starts drinking yep again linkara has flashbacks and he just stops recording the video he has to leave dude do we have to like film the episode no i um i need to go take care of something stay here it's where i always am he's always standing in the corner of linkara's room i can't even tell if that was supposed to be the joke then lankara goes back to the bar and it's doug walker playing the ask that guy with the glasses character who's the bartender we are 13 minutes into the movie and doug walker has made two cameos has anyone ever told you you look exactly like the nostalgia critic about 30 times a day everyone ever told you you look like heavy fine boys the acting in this movie is just so terrible that's nice allen but i'm a little uncomfortable with an agent of the united states government stepping on board a ship that said government would like to take away from me cut to the scene of these random crew members aboard the kai lestis linkara called his friends to help him out when kara asks him where's nostalgia critic and they say nostalgia critic is being traumatized by the garbage pail kids movie linkara gets a phone call that's a weird shot his ringtone is the atop the fourth wall theme song alan i guess he's in his office in the fbi building and this random dude just comes in the room sir is there any word no sir the editing is terrible and what is even going on here yes sir [Music] he looks at the atop the fourth wall logo that's printed on a sheet of paper meanwhile linkara and his friends are watching the amazing bulk and they're making fun of it the movie lewis is making is almost as bad then alan explains a bunch of plot stuff and it's really quite dull they're just talking and it's just in a kitchen it's not any great characters that you know it's not like a bunch of well-known actors that you've seen everyone agrees to help out and they go aboard the ship now the crew has been established and they're ready to go off on their mission there's this really bad cgi and part one just ends abruptly part two starts and it's more cgi throughout the movie linkara against these dreams and these visions of i don't know bad guys and the plot hole they don't do a good job of explaining it [Applause] why does the story have to be so complicated why is the movie feature length scenes just go on for too long cram in all this camaraderie between the characters and it just doesn't work atop the fourth wall of the movie is a desperate attempt to be funny and a piece of fans of atop the fourth wall when really just should have been another episode of that kind of show apparently he just reviews comic books which is okay you could just keep doing that but trying to make a feature-length science fiction movie that's a parody of star trek 2 is a waste of everyone's time and effort and money there is no reason for this movie to exist the plot is so thin i don't know there's something nagging at the back of my head maybe i'm finally just realizing now how not normal my life is how not normal for crying out loud i own a magic gun why do you do what you do because i believe in this country and the ideals it stands for sure it doesn't always live up to those standards but i believe in helping out as many people as i can look link carl what are we doing here what am i still doing here what did my i still doing here something for yourself alan what have i got going for myself well you have a good life you have a family you have friends you have things that you enjoy that you're excited about look you think your life isn't that normal really it's all about dealing with hardships and everybody has to deal with those frankly i think life's worth living for its own sake some days i agree with you others others i don't know you're alive i always you're alive alan comes in to talk to linkara about a bunch of nonsense these scenes of character development just are not good they're not interesting they're forcing this friendship when cara says he's having trouble living a double life being a comic book reviewer and also fighting aliens or whatever when i'm being sent up into space to possibly rescue astronauts from god knows what what the hell am i doing reviewing whatever editorially mandated garbage has been spewed out onto a comic book every week i sit on a futon and review books that think that a g-string is appropriate attire for women's battle armor and then every other week robots try to put their fists through my face this is not normal linkara's upset he has to review comic books and also fight aliens but there's no conflict if fans really wanted a review soon but he couldn't make it because he was fighting aliens then that would be something but nothing like that happens in the movie then there's another bad cgi insert linkara comes face to face with his old foe mecha mekakara alan and mekakara actually kills linkara's friend there from the fbi just so pointless and not impactful at all because you don't actually like these characters give me the med kit my car he looks like tom the tomato have we got a show for you don't apologize stop talking alan dies yeah that was a really sad moment i can't believe the bond that allen and linkara had then the characters are just standing around talking the group assessed the damage caused by comicron 1 with lupus suggesting they traveled to europa before reaching europa and heading down to it mars girl and lenkara have a heart to heart over his recent concerns about his dangerous lifestyle you guys haven't seen anything i'm the expert here i'm what counts out here he goes all out for this scene i know how dangerous it is you guys don't you you don't know what it is to fight something that truly truly wants you dead you guys don't know what it's like to collapse on the ground thinking that you did something horrible only for it to be some monster messing with your head you you don't you you never had you've never you you said how small you are and then you you stare right back at it and make it blink and then you froze one of the worst scenes of just the many pointless and random scenes that just didn't move the story along was this discussion of god there is something better for all of us out there nash expresses his fears to harvey over nearly being killed and waxes philosophic with him about the existence of god we almost really died and i'm not okay with that no one is not really anyway no one truly wants to die yet another scene that is pointless in this one conversation they cover the meaning of life god mortality do you believe in god how do you mean you know god a guy up in the sky long white beard created the universe god i need to stop recording this review and take a moment to scrutinize the potential of my life [Music] now that you've taken time to contemplate the meaning of your life when kara nash and lupa beam down to europa to find supplies for comic crown 1 and quickly discover the planet has been affected by remnants of the plot hole but mekakara soon catches up and attacks forcing linkara to have the others go back to comicron 1 without him meanwhile the group works quickly to fix the ship but mekakara soon comes up with a plan that may destroy the comic book reviewer once and for all once they arrive they find out this ship has the ability to regenerate tissue the plot hole gives the ship the ability to bring people back to life they put allen's body on the ground and just leave it there it'll just come back to life eventually on its own then they're like oh alan's body stinks later on alan wakes up and the joke is supposed to be that he [ __ ] himself but linkara has a new pair of pants for him don't worry in anticipation of this i have prepared you some new pants mecha car starts ripping off his face looks pretty bad and that's how part 4 ends and a climactic battle breaks out as mekakara reveals his new powered-up form the grueling fight comes to a head as the group bands together to attack mekakara one last time with linkara delivering the final blow having a new lease on life and with the day saved he returns home to finish celebrating his birthday wow when cara leaves he says he has to go do something and then he goes to sit down in his couch and he records and atop the fourth wall review hello and welcome and that's the end fighting makakara made him realize that he wanted to really be a comic book reviewer again it had to end somehow i don't even know what to say at this point and no matter what i say it just keeps getting worse don't even try it's not worth it now let's delve into the behind the scenes of this movie louis lovehogg basically made this movie on his own he's a reviewer he worked for channel awesome he appeared in many of their videos he of course has starring roles in many of the channel awesome movies tell me what's mekakara it's my psychotic robot double how does my theme song go the production of to boldly flee was incredibly grueling for the crew to the point where many of the reviewers left the site and the company after that when it comes to atop the fourth wall movie there's no stories about people being dehydrated or hungry there's nothing you actually see in the film itself that seems that strenuous on the crew or the cast they're all on sets and sitting in studios and they're not doing anything very physically demanding but at the end of the day this just doesn't matter when you're actually watching the movie itself atop the fourth wall of the movie is a chore to watch even if you know that no one was in pain making the movie you know you're not the first people to go to jupiter well we're the first not to be backed by an evil organization at the very least oh no just the us government nothing evil there this is what lenkara has to say about the atop the fourth wall movie during production as my assistant director and i worked to reduce costs of our budget i realized that the studio space we needed could be made available by using the channel awesome studio he wants to use that studio doug walker uses to make pop quiz hotshot and demo reel doug said himself in a video that he would allow people to make their own productions in his studio we're going to open up this place to other productions according to lenkara i brought this information and my request to mike machode and rob walker showed flat out refused it it would interrupt with the production of the nostalgia critic someone would need to be there to supervise them like their preschoolers while production of the nostalgic critic could have been impacted we would have been happy to spend some money to rent the space and make up for the lost revenue in addition not every nostalgia credit episode requires the use of the studio space doug had done nostalgia critic for five years before without the use of a studio and could simply film somewhere else in a manner that would not interrupt his video production the idea that we would need to be supervised is insulting we're all grown adults it conveyed an idea that we are untrustworthy and could not act responsibly the studio we ended up renting did not need to supervise us to be fair it is entirely likely that using the studio would not have been a viable solution anyway the fact that chode was not even willing to humor the idea or discuss it any further demonstrated an unwillingness to work with us compromise or negotiate to make things easier i can't help but feel bad for lenkara they didn't actually give lois the resources he needed to make the movie okay whatever you know the way out if you were to watch this movie side by side with to boldly flee you wouldn't be able to tell the difference really both films were shot on camcorders and look really cheap i am a moon there are a lot of spaceship shots in this movie to showcase the visual effects that are apparently so great this is some [ __ ] epic [ __ ] [Music] this was the budget for this movie they were able to get all this money from an indiegogo campaign that's a lot of money to make an independent film there have been movies like the blair witch project paranormal activity films made for basically no budget my name is lois lovehog and for the last six years i have written edited performed and produced the weekly web series atop the fourth wall while the focus of this series is on humorously recapping and reviewing the worst comic books ever made i frequently indulged in an ongoing storyline for the show with action mystery and character development as such i feel now is an appropriate time to finally take the storyline to the next level and produce a feature length atop the fourth wall movie the script is ready the actors are willing space is prepared for filming sets can be built props can be readied makeup can be applied and the crew is up to the task it will cost us 40 thousand dollars to make this movie a percentage will be given to indiegogo for hosting the campaign paying the crew including makeup props and filming transportation costs for the actors and crew hotel costs for the actress and crew the studio where the majority of the movie will be filmed set construction for comic ron 1 and a few other sets that's right comic ron 1 will be an actual set as opposed to just a green screen background cgi for various scenes [Music] music what like the theme song here's my favorite part the rewards for 24 you get a back issue level a signed dvd of the top to fourth wall volume one and two little petty level your name will be included in the movies and credits as a backer internet sensation polo level 14 a signed print of your choice from linkara company-wide crossover level 19 cast photos signed by the whole cast pretty hat level a copy of a top to fourth wall movie on dvd once it becomes available the extreme level sixty dollars all the atop the fourth wall dvds and the regular edition of the top the fourth wall movie dude level signed special edition of atop the fourth wall movie on dvd plus pdf copies of all script drafts for the film 250 editorial mandate level producer credit on the film all the top the fourth wall dvds signed copy of the special edition of the film plus pdf copies of all script drafts forty four dollars doesn't even say anything well where did this money go did it go toward casting well he plays multiple characters in the movie which is what doug walker did in to boldly flee i had a gnarly idea about how i could redirect power from the sensors to the guns i believe you're all familiar with 90s kid this is the science station that's a piece of paper with a light behind it i really don't know where this money went it honestly seems like a total waste they could have saved some money perhaps by using the channel awesome studio instead of that one they ended up using in conclusion atop the fourth wolver movie was a waste of everyone's time money and effort that's all i have to say about atop the fourth wall of the movie it was not an enjoyable
