Ark: Survival Ascended - Taming a Dire Bear for Bee Honey! ASA E18 Ark Ascended Gameplay

welcome welcome back to another episode of Ark survival ass ended that is right and man super excited for today cuz we got a lot going on um last episode what did we do we went out we got our first under sea Loot Crate deep sea Loot Crate I think they're called I I don't know why they're not just called loot drops but anyway yes we got our very first one we got ourselves an ascended long neck yeah about time some real power in taming um we also laid a whole bunch of RG eggs and we got ourselves the industrial Forge however it's not powered yet yeah we could just throw gasoline in it but why do that when we could get a generator to power it and be you know powering a couple of other things too so that leads me to today I would like to kick things off let's go ahead and make the chem bench let's just go ahead and grab this drop and uh we also damed up a snail last time however in vanilla snails just really are not not as good um especially because of the fact you don't have stuff that can autocollect it I guess you could do a gacha but I gachas don't exist yet in uh survival ascended oh man I hope I said survival ascended in the intro I'm going to be so mad if I didn't oh what you going to do just still getting used to things but it is still alive however it's going to start to get super hungry so if if we ever want to be able to feed this bad boy um we have got to figure out what we're doing for making veggie cakes which we have to do anyway for Kibble so I think we should start to make a day of it um anyway before while we have enough polymer in here let's go ahead and go Kem bench we had left it off where we're just crafting up electronics and look at that we just barely have enough good god oh spark PW Spark pwder did did I make some okay thank goodness all right and chemistry bench this is the better pestol and mortar mortar and pestol among a few other things so very cool we've got that done um can we make another generator oh yeah we got more than I thought all right generator let's go ahead make a oh no the electronics is what we're short what was I looking at the polymer oh crap crap all right so we got to get more pearls we got to get more pearls but that's okay we don't actually need to use it today but we have got to deal with the Pearl situation as well which shouldn't be too hard now that we have the mosa and yes we went out on the mosa we found ourselves an amazing amazing saddle so pretty excited about that is the platform version all right boom so I need to start getting used to using this instead again once we get a few more Electronics just because you actually do get better um like it crafts you get better rates or how would you say it it costs less you get a better output you get more for the money so yeah it's very cool anyway I am all loaded up with everything we need and basically we need honey that is what is keeping us from um making the sweet veggie cakes the dang honey and that is not a fun thing to go after now I was thinking what would be a fun tame cuz basically I I'm pretty sure we can we can just harvest the honey you know one by one which it's not great it is not a great way to go about life I think you only get five honey per or you could you get a dire bear which makes it a lot easier cuz chances are after each Hive or maybe we can Harvest a couple hives but we end up getting taken out by the bees and the crazy bees stuff but with the dire bear you can Harvest honey without having you know they don't get mad at you so I mean that would be a huge Advantage especially early on when we got no honey but then we could also use it to help us to tame a bee to make a beehive which I believe you can do I haven't done this in so long cuz I'm used to playing with s+ where they have the domesticated beehives that you know are just better so I I don't know anyway we got to figure all this stuff out today and the only place that I know of that we can go to do all this is over in the Redwoods so we're going to head over to the Redwoods hopefully be able to find a decent dire bear Harvest as much honey as we can and maybe even get ourselves a bee that we can take home so we'll see how all of that works and just now seeing this too we need to look for a theur too at some point all right level 40 I've only seen low level ones thus far only low level ones but you know keeping my eyes out why can I not Harvest you from the top huh that is not cool all right that was junky loot trap but anyway we are making our way and if we can finally get like a good a good uh you know re renewable supply of honey I think got you know we're going to be able to get pretty far make most of uh all the Kibbles that we want and just do everything keep our snail alive what more can you ask for so anyway I'm going to meet you over in the Redwoods going to do a little bit of hunting see what we can find for dire bears and uh yeah I guess all there's left to say before I go is guys please found my first bear that I'm interested in it is not as high as I would have liked but it's the highest I've seen I don't even see it now I oh there it is there it is it's the highest I've seen and it's high enough that I think it's you know at least worthwhile to uh you know potentially tame so let's see if we can do this I know we had a lot of issues trying to trap stuff cuz the new AI things are just so much smarter than they used to be oh my goodness this guy hits hard holy crap all right come on come on come on come on oh I always do this I I put the stuff in here and then I don't end up using it I might have been partially damage I took on Alpha Raptor 2o by the way oh my goodness dude I'm stuck come on come on come on my biggest thing though is that I oh God this is not good my biggest thing is that I am concerned about like this place is crazy insane I've seen so many Terr birds so many like everything come around here and I'm really in fact I think that might have been a tear bird sound right there really concerned that Uh something's going to happen while we're taming so I just I feel like we have got to get this guy fully enclosed and then we can I'll I'll worry about how I'm going to do this afterwards come on buddy you know I might do this I didn't want to do this but I might do this I feel like they know when it's an enclosed area and I think that who is making that sound I don't know there's just so much Badness around here like everything possible bad let's go ahead toss another one here and I feel like if we there we go if it sees that it's a pass through it might be willing to come in you get what I'm saying and then I've I can do the doors come on buddy so dire Bears they're not like outwardly aggressive but when you get in their space you know they they like their space come on jeez I'm almost having to like bump into this guy all right all right all right yes yes yes oh crap I keep forgetting that no oh we did it we did it we did it okay beautiful oh my goodness all right so it is trapped now we don't have to stress as much I'm going to heal up and then we'll figure out how we're going to actually do the taming all right here's what I've constructed so I've got two high walls that's not for the bear that's so other things don't get in I put in the reason I made this so long is so I'd have a place to uh you know be able to chill out and what I'm going to attempt to do is open the door and back up to here and I'm I'm I'm positive a dire bear can't fit through that you know I might be able to pick that up but oh oh all right perfect and now so head shot don't matter for a dire bear they're treated just the same as everything else look at that now this guy likely has massive tore like absolutely massive um dire Bear's Health to toror is always kind of an issue can I get close enough without you kidding me oh dude I don't know if I can look at that but our new long neck is definitely making work of it we just got to make sure that we do not get to the point where you know we we damage him too much we got to stay ahead on the torb yes dude that was so much faster with this new long neck holy crap all right so for a bear um I believe it's Superior kibble I could be wrong about that but I believe it is we don't have that it's next preferred food and actually I I never knew this but I was looking it up today I think honey actually counts the same like as the uh kibble so that would be the next food then the final preferred food uh would be well then it would be mutton then prime meat so it really would be to our advantage if we could get some honey I just don't know if that's a good idea so I guess I also don't want to lose track of where our bear well I guess uh we can get on that taming meter let me see if I can find a honeyhive cuz being that it's not like a super high level one I mean it is pretty high but you know on our server we have up to 300 um it would definitely make sense if we want to get the best levels we can to get honey just to make sure there's no drop oh oh we got an alpha Raptor you know it's kind of important that we go after these guys that's a lowl one um just because they can give really good uh tools you know and just treat it as a Loot drop plus levels and they seem easy enough come on let's go dummy gotcha plus more Primes don't you even think about it all right let's see what we got we're to filled up on inventory to pick it up oh nothing come on oh my goodness I'm making a mess of things go go go go go all right I've been out for a while I for whatever reason I cannot find a honeyhive I'm not hearing any bees buzzing I'm not seeing any in the trees and um our Prime spoiling pretty quick so I think we're gonna have to just settle for the prime and I'm terrified in here like quite honestly I've been dismounted so many times and luckily it's not been you know in a scenario where where I couldn't handle it but it's quite possible that scenario could come let's just get some renewed Primes from this Titan Boa come on all right there we go there we go all right we should be good it's been starving out for a while please thla no to do it oh but I can get one thing I did forget the dire bear saddle totally totally spaced on it and dire Bears I can't pick it up with the RG so it would have been uh not a fun journey home without having a saddle and I'm positive almost positive we have one I still can't believe I couldn't find a single honey just pushing my luck running through there I knew it would happen eventually all right so let's see Saddles one dire bear look oh look at that one holy crap uh should we bring two I don't know cuz I might just in case we found a second one all right fair enough um who we going to take out let's see one of these guys does still has a ton of levels I haven't pumped in yet I think yeah this one right here all right I might make are you the male too okay good it's not the male I'm going to go out on this one and instead of going massively more on the carry way I'm going to put this all into melee beautiful all right wish me luck I hope I don't get too cold on the way all right we are almost back so that's a good thing um our death point is on the way to our tame I did grab some new fresh Prime me as well on the way over oh Lordy we just have to pray I haven't seen a death you got to help you got to carry your your you got to carry stuff come here got to carry stuff holy crap I guess we did have a bed here but it's not going to really matter much all right dire bear come on guys all right so I think we're going to probably have to ride on the dire bear and then have two backup Aries to uh assist us thank goodness we had this good saddle oh my lordy but I mean dire bear is pretty quick definitely pretty quick of a creature so I think it should be able to hopefully hold its own anyway and um I mean of course we had the whole reason we came here to begin with which was for honey so on my way back I'll see see if maybe just maybe we can actually run into a honeyhive but this is starting to get to be uh quite a bit more of a sketchy day than I had first intended what do we got here watch it be okay level 50 come here dire bear it's pretty good awesome all right I'm digging him I am definitely digging them and I think with our two RGS we likely are going to you know be able to hold our own all right guys I'm being brave uh I actually feel pretty comfortable having both RGS I kind of wish we had mate boost but you know is what it is I want to try and get some honey and I finally found a hive I don't know if it's too high up though I really don't know how this works let's see I'm going to press right click yeah I think it's a little too high for me to actually Harvest so there's probably it's kind of silly I don't know all right we also got to try and tame a queen bee but all right let's try this let's see what happens um we've got you all right fair enough I'm going to put on Ghillie cuz I believe the Ghillie I did repair it up too is supposed to be a little bit better oh God you stupid birds all right go go go go go go go go move Birds move all right and they should ignore me now that I'm on this and see they're going after our Birds stupid bees oh you know what I have harvesting off right now on the bees I don't think you get anything from them but I don't know just in case dude these bees are going nonstop all right how are you doing all right our RGS are fine on health so don't have to worry about it okay well we got a couple Honeys Honeys do not stack though I forgot about that well I suppos supposedly we would get way more honey if the bee actually was the one to harvest them and I think to get the queen out you actually have to break the hive but I'm not sure if you can do that after having just harvested it so let me go look it up real quick all right I just got finished reading about the beehives it's been a hot second for me um I'll tell you what we're not equipped for this right now for one we don't have any of the uh correct taming food although we're close to the swamp we could definitely get it um but having these argies here is not beneficial for us at least not for the uh The Beehive taming cuz all of the basically we got to break a hive to get the queen out and we got to wait until everything is like kind of passive around us and that's not going to happen when we have these RGS around so you know we got the bear I guess that's good enough and we got some honey but I didn't realize it doesn't stack on our server which you know normally doesn't stack but I may change that ah it's just going to be annoying by the time we get home all the honey no matter what because it doesn't stack no matter how much honey we get today it's going to spoil so we're probably going to have to build a little compound over here full of refrigerators and all the shenanigans that we need for taming and for converting to kibble it's just going to be a pain at least until we get a beehive you know uh which you turn a queen bee into the Beehive so oh it's going to be a process but we will get there and I also got to remind myself where are the good hives for our bear to be able to harvest but it's not too important not as of yet I just wish there is a hive that we could see but anyway oh God two alpha go go go this way this way all right we got to get home we got to get the crap out of here this is way too uh sketch for us oh my lordy and these swamps though come on guys come on so anyway I'm going to slowly find my way the crap out of here and start heading home we really need to get a quets though cuz a quets could pick up the bear and then oh no oh no and then we wouldn't be in a bad position oh the one thing about bears it's super annoying is they cannot jump and while it doesn't really matter that much uh you can get stuck on stuff they're super fast but you got to Hope and it's seeming thus far by the way that um the bear is actually transversing way better than I thought it would so that's a plus but anyway um I got to get the crap out of here it's going to be a long long journey so I'll see you once we're actually getting somewhere go away Raptor go away come on birds you're so slow all right we're out of the swamps and believe it or not this bear is actually not that bad I was expecting it to be so much more of a task now given we are nowhere we're still nowhere close to home nowhere close it's only level 80 we're actually making out right over here yep right in this area I think we got him like koed I think it was right here I'm pretty sure it was right around there all right that should be the island just right up here are we coming Birds oh beautiful all right I'm going to have to test how well this guy swims it might be able to handle it even with the the Megalodons depending on how quick it is it's too bad if you like ran this fast it would be epic if you could like get like you know a glide into the water that maintained the speed somewhat but don't think that's going to be a thing all right there is no Sprint but I think we're good I don't see any Megalodon but we can and sort of uh kind of skip from Island to Island maybe maybe not I don't know all right let's see if I can get onto here go away Manta yes all epic I love our dire bear I like this guy already way better than I do the ASC ones all right let me get my birds in and let me see if we have enough time to tame the Megalodon all right if we're super duper quick with this I think we should be able oh my goodness stop being stupid when you jump I think we should have enough time let's go run down here we're going to have to put all these guys onto passive come on guys all right passive let's go tell them all to come further down into the pen I still have to like separate let's go and get this guy Dragged In oh the uh SCU is on the mosa I would do it with the mosa but I feel like we have a little bit better maneuverability right here and we should be able to hopefully do this all with darts This Is My Hope because it will go down super here all right we got to identif y the correct Megalodon which none of these may be the correct one 20 40 17 oh my God there's an alpha oh crap this is not good an alpha is not what I want oh my goodness I don't know if this going to happen guys don't know if this going to happen we we'd have to get it separated from the alpha that is for certain all right I'm going to try and maneuver this for a little while to see if maybe just maybe I can arrange this 270 come on dude I don't know if it's going to be possible it is going to be quite tricky all right I'm just going to go for it I don't see the alpha it did separate great a please don't be the alpha please don't oh my God there's so many Megalodons right here all right I'm going to separate again I feel like that's too many oh how are there so many 30 I the biggest problem is I can't I keep losing and there's a lot of high level ones by the way like a lot of really high level ones and I just can't distinguish which one is the one we want all right 40 cuz they keep on losing two there's a 250 oh the alpha is there crap 250 would be good too I'm going to be honest with you I think that's too many I hate to say it but I I don't think I can deal with this and the problem is when I let them in inevitably oh God when I let them in oh no oh that's not what I wanted to do when I let them in um if there's if I get overwhelmed and I can't you know it's going to be too hard to to get it down to just the ones we want they could potentially especially the alpha got in there kiss armosa yesi I think there's a two 50 20 oh oh oh yeah just too much could go wrong I don't think it's going to happen guys I'm sorry but anyway uh yes let's get get on back all right we are back we are unpacked and I have to say even though it kind of felt like a let down that we didn't get what I set out to do I just have in my brain this is what I want to do this is what I set out for I barely acknowledge the fact we got an amazing amazing dire bear we got our chemistry bench and um we got a pack of Megalodons I don't know what I'm going to do it is absolutely I actually spent a while trying to call the herd a little bit and uh see if I could get it in it's just too much there's just more and more is the Megalodon absolute horde outside of my base right now so we'll just have to deal with that another time because it will take hours hours to you know at least make sure that we don't kiss the wrong ones there's actually 280 out there too I know but you know that's that's another another day's battle for today I think we did good with a bear we'll work on the honey stuff and I want to set up some tree platforms and all that sort of good things so that we can have like a little Outpost there um and I think we're going to have to for crafting sweet veggie cakes and Kibbles and all that sort of stuff we're just we're way too far off the beaten path here it's super safe I love this area but we absolutely have to start making our Outpost so something to look forward to in any case though guys I think we did epic I think I'm quite I'm quite pleased what we got so all things being said thank you so very
