so it's probably no surprise to anyone just how oversaturated the game Joe is with five nights at Freddy's fan games with a hefty amount of them reimagining the universe with unique characters or ideas but also unsurprisingly there's definitely a fair amount of them that straight-up use established characters from the Freddy's IP unexplored the potential behind those unexplained portions of the story with them one exceedingly popular sub-genre here has got to be those Fred Pitt and spring bunny games you know the ones spring Freddy's been found behind an abandoned family diner and I was governed after you spring Bonnie is actually hell-bent on killing kids and you're his next victim Fred bears forgotten rotten ass I was left to wither and decay in the backseat of my Nan's convertible yeah those ones a lot of these seem to take the form of Unreal Engine games which is a whole other thing which I'm not getting into now but essentially yeah most of these the greatest I totally get it though Fred best family diner and the spring-locks suits and all of that are still some of the most mysterious concepts in the Freddy's universe and I don't blame people wanting to get their interpretations out there I'm one game in particular that I've caught wind off time and time again that price would these concepts has been the coaling nights Fred bears lament now this is a fine game that's been in development for a while after seemingly a couple of delays but was eventually released a week after its original intended for lee state which was originally March 25th 2020 the synopsis for this thing well it's not the most original it has been 15 years since that bite of 87 and fazbear entertainment has been reduced a foggy memory remaining locations have been knocked down abandoned or become home to graffiti artists and scavengers serving is no more than a playground for troublemakers one location remains an imaginary pristine snapshot of the 80s yeah okay it does feel like one of them good old 2015 fan games and it's not often you get fan games like these in this day and age and hey it looks Bunica nuff so I thought hey why not give the little guy a shot and see what this funky ass fan game has to offer so the menu screen is nothing special but it's hopping into the first night things are already pretty interesting looking and there's no camera tablet to flip instead everything is already laid out here for us in a bit of a strange layout actually the monitor front and center showcasing the map with a smaller monitor to the left displaying the camera feeds so yeah pretty much the opposite of what these fan games usually do the maps like reduced to the bottom corner of the camera screen or something not the focal element of the office dude you can hardly make out the details here I think I understand why it was done it forces you to look to the left of the office as to your right as a breaker switch which is used to deal with the animatronics roaming around the establishment and it means that it'll take you a tad longer to reach it which you'll need to do in urgent situations I guess for the sake of having it take a bit longer to get your bearings the gameplay here is pretty straightforward you're dealing with fredbear and spring bunny over on camp five who both acts pretty differently you'll have to worry about spring bunny first as he's the only active animatronic on night one and goes on to become the more aggressive of the two in Layton eyes and the way he works is a little interesting it is like a modified version of the way spring-trap works in five nights at Freddy's 3 where you'll be using audio lures to drag them away from you however there is now a penalty for not deactivating the lure in time if you're not quick enough he'll find and destroy the audio source ie the speaker emitting the sounds that means that you won't be able to take spring bunny to that room for the rest of the night and on top of that a destroyed speaker will raise an alarm essentially turning your office into the loudest audio source in the building it's pretty much a far less forgiving version of the phone mechanic in five nights at candy's - another fine game that uses audio laws to prevent the rebels from reaching it become a game actually there's a lot about it that this game reminds me of they're both in an abandoned building they both feature weathered animatronic characters they're both even based on five minutes Freddy's is a pretty strange coincidence but awright as long as you keep track of him and spring bunny is actually not that difficult to deal with you can pretty easily ping-pong him around the restaurant however to counteract that we have fredbear as a difficulty balancer you definitely have far less control over this guy he's free to roam for any camera he desires that being said you'll have the chance to stop him in his tracks when he's poised outside your office it's a bit of an unconventional mechanic you could put its there's a sign on cam one that has two sides a stop sign side and a drawing of a kid usually you'll only see the stop sign and as long as it is showing when fredbears on cam one looking directly at it you'll be all good however if the kids showing he'll run into your office I'm guessing a mistake see for the kid or something and again this does feel a tad reminiscent of one night at flumpty's to another fan game with the similar concepts having you perform an immediate action to counter your enemy staring you down but hey these who do work in conjunction with each other spring bond it gives you a reason to survey all the cameras and forever has an excuse to put more focus on your immediate surroundings and well it's simple I like it it's not something I'd go out for hours but thankfully the game is pretty quick together is the extra stuff this game throws at you anyway that seems to be the focal point of all this speaking of OneNote fontys - that game was released on April 11th 2015 which was the same year as 5.7 teased four actually and that's something I've been think about a lot because five nights at Freddy's 4 well that's the fourth entry in the five nights at Freddy's franchise and one night fontys 2 is only the second however one night from T's one came out not long before and that kind of gets me thinking the first five nights at Freddy's game was released in August of 2014 right so that's over a year later when five nights Freddy's four releases I don't know it's something that it keeps racking my brain like one at flumpty's one all-night flumpty's two and then five nights at Freddy's finest Freddy's two five nine thirty three five nights at Freddy's 4 that's four or five nights at Freddy's games isn't that crazy now while that really is the extent of the gameplay here there's still a few things about this fan game that do seem a tad odd to me like for example the phone calls here seem to be a tad vulgar the phone guy seems to be somebody else has been trapped down here before you describing how they've managed it there were the animatronics themselves but most of these phone calls are just like insults and stuff it's super weird and gods they are super inconsistent to 9/5 phone call that's nearly the entire night and a couple of the others are incredibly short but you know I can justify that I think it's not some guy reading off the script this is somebody who's been down here for a long while the least of their worries will be given the length of their phone calls consistent right so anyway yeah that's how nice one to four play outs but I do have to mention the visual presentation here is not the most appealing it's pretty bland for how hard I've seen people get over this thing I mean it genuinely looks like this game is thrown together in like three weeks not three years geez come on dude well alright maybe I'm being a tad harsh after all it is meant to be abandoned so mainly it's just an aesthetic choice the rituals are all super high quality and the way the animatronics blends with the environments are eerily realistic there's a lot of polish over intentional design elements that really tie the visuals together in this regard and hey the idea being in an abandoned location with these decrepit animatronics is an idea that I've never seen before it is genuinely one of the more original concepts I've seen in the sea of countless enough clones and I really do appreciate that I mean it's not often that you'll see a professed family diner fangame plays out like a usual wouldn't bother doing this but as this is still a relatively new fan game spoiling fan highfive I guess so yeah at that point really shines to 105 and holy crap dude you can see why all the cameras have been replaced with these super colorful acid trip ESCA renders and that's obviously a side effects of being trapped in a place like this for what four nights already it's a really cool attention to detail for example gam seven has what looks like a toaster and a couple of bath bombs on the floor to complement the tens of urinals it's automatic in its own way kind of like how on camp five it's all red and filled with posters of some real cool-looking cartoon character the animatronics also definitely seem to complement this with some really decent looking renders baked into the scenes and that's commendable this is a fan game with an identity that sets it apart from the shitty-ass withered animatronic in the original Freddy fazbear's pizza fan games you know the ones it's not often you see quality like this taking a surrealist art form into something already so incredible looking I think one of the coolest things about this game as a whole is the fact that it's really not afraid to just throw these guys at you hard the later NIH's do get a lot tougher to a harder then I [Music] [Music] you serious yeah right yeah yeah yeah all right they can yeah oh yeah cause I'm doing it the other day yeah all right yeah sorry sorry good all right yeah yeah I'll talk to you later Alfa the cool one night's fredbear's lament is honestly one of the contenders for the best fan game on the planet I'm going to enter production on go motion and start a channel only for this game what a pang piece of media I'm gonna go to Tesco up in Canada and buy a sponge later [ __ ] [Music]
