Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
Our team has been following Alright Rig for awhile now, and we have watched it blossom into what it is today. It's a very powerful plugin that allows for (just about) whatever you'd want to do in the animation department, directly in UE. So people who are comparing this to control rig simple don't understand what they are talking about because they are not even comparable in terms of features/functionality.
As for price? $100 doesn't seem out of the question given what this plugin is capable of. I personally feel like that's on the higher end of the spectrum, but, once again not out of the question. If a dev cant afford $100 for a major piece of there development pipeline then maybe this plugin isn't targeted for that type of developer.
Our only complaint/concern is that the creator has promised to wrap things up, and get it on the market multiple times. He has not followed through on his promise yet. I'm sure he's a busy guy, but, there comes a point when people start to question your ability to follow through with what you've promised. No one should have to worry if a $100 plugin is going to be well supported in the future. Especially if its a major part of your production pipeline. I think that concern is more than fair.
We are looking forward to its market place release, and will gladly lay down $100 for the software.
The title makes it look like a somehow shittier version of mixamo, I was pleasantly suprised it wasn't.
This seems like a great tool, but that price is really off-putting. Iβd rather put in the little extra effort and animate in Blender than pay a whopping $100. Why isnβt it on the Epic Marketplace btw?
Whaat! Edit anims without opening maya? Cyool!
For a promotion video it is a little fast and frenetic, don't you think?
Cool feature tho
You can already do this in Unreal. It's called the control rig, it's an experimental feature and they're working on adding features/implementing it fully.
