liverpool and the only female owner you think of a strip club in the uk yeah yeah i'm owning that one yeah yeah yeah yeah it's a belter i mean i don't actually know where to start because again i think just the fascination i've just learned then that strip clubs are still banned in ireland yeah yeah i didn't know yeah that's a real reason we have so many irish yeah it's not the union no no it's a strip club such a cool story as you said like we're touching on our fair and we will on the thing and like stiff clubs is something that you know are there but yeah you don't really understand like the mechanics behind them or you know how how they just pop up there do you know what i mean so it's really an interesting story to like deep dive into i can't wait for this and also liverpool had the first strip club in the uk they did yeah yeah so there's a lot so i had a lot to live up to people think like london you know string fellows and stuff but know it all in it all started i think about 40 years ago now with angels yeah it's still a very new industry isn't it in terms of like yeah definitely obviously talking in the uk it is yeah because obviously if you go to america um it's it's the done thing like if you go to vegas you go in the casino and you go until you go into a strip club aren't yeah but over here now it's very it's it is it's different isn't it it's not something that and people would talk about going to yeah is it the same way that if you i'm excited as well to see if jordan happens to drop himself because again owning a business any business whether that's a strip club or whatever it may be it takes a certain level of you know into you've got to be switched on to do it yeah yeah because you always like that growing up yeah it's kind of you know money-minded kind of do your own thing yeah um i didn't realize it because obviously you know you go to school and you do what you're supposed to do but i struggled in school so i never grew up thinking like i was you know i was grateful i was going to achieve great things because i used to go to school and think like look at all these people they were doing really well i you know i wasn't i wasn't thick but i just i struggled you know they say school's the best shave your life like the time of your life i couldn't wait to leave and i struggled yeah yeah i struggled in a classroom environment i was bored um and i'd just lived in my own little whale there was a daydreamer i was chasing it was that confidence or like just disengagement was just like just disengagement yeah i was bored um and yeah i just didn't i just didn't fit well so then i'd sit in the class and i'd be daydreaming and i was like i'd grow up and i was obsessed with like britney spears and you know all that i used to just think like i never had back in the day oh she was boss yeah but like that was all i wanted to do was go home just listen to britney and um i never kind of thought what i wanted to do or but i'd go into school and i'd struggle and i just thought like oh i i just must be there i'm just so i never had these like really high aspirations that because of those you know you get told in school if you don't achieve well in school that you're not going to really amount to anything and i'd sit in class it is um i'd sit in class and you know the teacher would say whatever and then everyone would crack on with the work and i'd look around and i'd be like what are we doing what you know i couldn't um i could just couldn't do it so i left school and i went and done an apprenticeship because um i remember like leaving i had no gcses no not on and we were all going out and that's all i was interested in not going out but like how i looked and you know all because i was a young girl i just um i remember going home and my dad saying well you know you don't have to get a job because me mum and dad i was the the firstborn i think you're always the most strict on your face so my dad was like you know you're gonna have to go you know you're gonna have to go get a job on that so there's got three and just wiped his eye and i was like and i went on an apprenticeship i remember going and signing up because obviously i had no gcses i thought i'm going to have to do some kind of training so i went down a.m to training plus and the options were in it was business administration hairdressing and child care i had no interest in like hair and beauty and things like that and that seems to be what everyone was jumping on i thought oh god i haven't got patience for that child care i was like definitely you know so of course i'll i'll do the business administration because obviously it's a great foundation for whatever i decide to do you know i can as long as i've got that i can kind of because you know i didn't know so um they put me on put me in like a job i think four days a week and then they used to send me to college now i worked great with that because it was practical it wasn't until i had children on my own that i realized i was actually dyslexic and that's what that's why i struggled so much in school it was never picked up on and i never was something i never thought of because i was naive and thought that if you were dyslexic meant you couldn't read you know i think that's what a lot of people people still think to this day it means that you can't read all right and i could do all of those things i could sit here now you know and you could say read this read this book read whatever and i could read it um yeah i'll be quite theatrical and i'll be all but then tell me ask me what it said you could say to me read that passage to me there and i'll read it out not a problem ask me what it said afterwards and your mind doesn't retain it and this was the problem i had in school was that i was doing the work and then when it had come to like go and sit in your tests all doing i was like i've got a clue what you know so it was until i left school that i realized that um that wasn't that wasn't how i was gonna learn so i started doing the apprenticeship and i was thriving because i was in a work-based environment it suited me better to practically see results and i was doing you know a lot better than the others because i was able to and prioritize tasks and move through departments so you're moving through different departments of a business to see how you know different things work so eventually they put me in the accounts department now in school maybe because of me and dyslexia and struggling with um you know english and all those kind of things i excelled in maths i was great with numbers i wasn't once it got to algebra at all because i was like what's the point in this you know hieroglyphic sort of ladder yeah like you know you just sat there thinking how's this gonna like you know so matt was my only subject that i used to get excited i also used to love playing with numbers and i could tell you the times every time's table back to front and you know so i thought right i'll i'll do i'll go into accounts i'll do like something to do with that so i joined a night course so i had was waking and then i was working in tj's of a weekend and i love that because they used to leave me on a sunday to run this little department so it was down to me i'd be on my own you know doing like the the stock checks and getting all the tickets in and doing the tail and i really enjoyed it and i was great harry and i loved ear and money i loved getting up in the morning and that's when i realized i thought i'm not this i can do this but i just didn't understand at school that i was wasn't being taught in a way that suited me and so when i've done this my course college so i'm only like 16 17 so i'm not engrossed in what i'm doing i'm not going out of a weekend because i'm working weekends and i'm working through the week and then i'm doing this business accounts course it was for 12 months in the evening so we've done that course and um the apprenticeship used to send me back into town one day a week to you'd have to go and sit and part of your mb mbq with the clones you'd go and do like a classroom thing so that one day a week and just go to [ __ ] because i'd just be saturday not the window so we're on live street and facing this train and plus is a strip club do you just sit there and assign me like 16 17. and i'm staying out the window because put me back in the workplace environment and i'm i'm doing everything but sit me in that classroom and you know you're not getting anything out of me so i'm staying out the window with this strip club and i'm just like you just intrigued thinking like i wonder what the girls look like and wonder how much money they ain't and i had this like thing and we had that and i think this is why a lot of women um i can have a negative attitude towards it because they used to think about like the girls are all stunning and they've got like big fake boobs and tiny waists and all the men love them and she used to spend my whole time staying up the window you know like just wondering kind of what went on and then anyway i'm doing this course and everything so the workplace that i'm in decided that because of a show on this initiative they put me through to a80 accountants technician course and so i got a job um in the finance department and i'm only 17 working as a trainee accountant and they paid for me to go on this course so it was a fantastic opportunity because it showed the initiative but i didn't really appreciate it at the time i'm only 17 i've got loads of pressure on me um and i'm going to this same it was on james street in town to do this iat course so it was the first year it was like three years um and i passed and everything and then it comes on to the second year and started getting it's like school with algebra it starts going right over me ed and i'm going back you know into the office and i'm just like start losing me way and then i'm sitting with other people who were fully dedicated to become accountants they're born in the living daylights out of me and i'm thinking you know you just lose your drive and i'm thinking this is just and they had degrees so they were going to go on to become an accountant i didn't have a degree because i didn't go to university i just scraped through school i knew i was never going to go to university i didn't want to go to university so i thought i kind of worked it all out i thought i could struggle through this next i've still got another year after this year i'm going to become a beekeeper and i'm going to be on about 16k a year like that's it you know i'm still probably going to be working two jobs i thought now like and i think looking back it was having that at the age as well aren't you where like you've made starting to go out and stuff like that definitely yeah you know what andy that didn't bother me because i loved week and i loved like getting ahead i was always i i want to do this and i want to get this job i'm going to do that course and i'm gonna i wanted to do everything really young and i'm glad i didn't know some people you know i say to the girls and work live your life while you're young because you wake up in your 30 and you're like you know things that you know you could have done back then but and not as acceptable because you should know better yeah but each to their own journey and i'm glad i've done it my way but i totally get why people want to live because they're the best years of your life aren't they um so i just decided i was like i don't want to do this so i dropped out the course and i left um and i went to work for me there for a little bit just do an admin again but shitless while i was at a bit of a crossroads still working other jobs and i just thought i just want a different life like but i didn't know what i wanted to do so i was back frustrated thinking the one thing i was good at i'm not really gonna like succeed to the way i want become unemployed and you know it just wasn't for me aim and it was on a night out one night we were in the news bar and him i'd seen everyone and i'd done bits of modelling when i was younger and stuff and i'd seen everyone all glamorous and and obviously i've been missing out on that bit of lifestyle so i thought i'd do i'll go back into the model and put a bit and just do like something that i enjoy so when i got my portfolio done i took her to pulse in liverpool and i was dead lucky um i got to i went and met who became the agent and i got taken on straight away we sat down and um she was like you know you know you perfect enough for what you wanted which was just right really commercial because i was only quite small and but i had like quite a bubbly cheeky personality so it was something that aim worked well let her play up in the cameras and was doing like promotion work and stuff like that and so i started doing that so i'm waking and then i was getting because i had a little car and i was going back and forth to manchester quite a lot i was getting a lot of jobs um basically doing like promotion jobs and things like that so these kind of sexy photoshoots are the only way yeah but a lot of it was like commercial so it was like the cute girl next door type of type of look um and then i started doing these like i've done a few of these training shoots in manchester and it was basically like photographers who were training in um in their photography and stuff you get hired to go down and be the model and they'd have a you know photographer training them so i do going down i'm doing that and i'm just like i'm working nights driving down doing that and then i'm working weekends and then away from the day so i've got no life but i'm stacking money and it feels good but i haven't got still got a clue what i wanted to do but i was just you know i was happy at the time and it was one aim one night driving back from manchester and me money and me bagging that and that was like as i know it that was what ruled me was like in a money i was thinking it made me feel good do you know what i mean it made me feel like i'm achieving something that i thought when i was in school i couldn't and i was driving back from manchester one night and i just started like this light bulb moments and i thought what if cause i was on it was my space at the time during my sleep and because i was doing well and getting like loads of shoots and stuff i had people messaging me asking me like how do i get into model and how do i get a portfolio how did you go about this where did you go to so far what if we done that in liverpool but the other way around and our girls coming and training with a photographer and done done it the the opposite way around and as a model doing training days so it goes home i had obviously a lot of contacts with studios and liverpool photographers and stuff like that and so when i got flyers made and i put it all together found a studio found a perfect photographer and went round liverpool one handsome flyers out because you didn't have instagram you know no papers and stuff and you know what i've done really well i remember going home to my dad and i was like this is what i'm gonna do and he was like you know brilliant come home the first day and i enjoyed it that was the thing was like when you're in front of a camera you're being told what to do when you're directing that shoot you're you're taking control you're able to you know it was get back to that practical side of being able to create something so i put this whole package together that girls could afford and a lot of girls like they didn't want to be models you just wanted to come and get some nice pictures yeah you know and that's you know call some headshots just just have a nice day come and feel gordon get the meat hooked on and show him yeah i was doing like one of them a month but in my spare time i'd wait a whole month you know setting it up and booking the girls in and stuff and i was coming home i was like 19 at the time i was coming out like throwing 600 pounds on the table send me that and he was like [ __ ] algal and i was like now yeah the annoying thing is though like your mind was setter oh i'm just gonna be nothing really i'm just gonna that's just so because like you're clearly not stupid you're very intelligent you've got thrive but at one point in your life people were just like you know yeah yeah you just sit at the back of the class you're probably not going to go yeah even to me mum she was like cause me two brothers i've got two younger brothers they were really academic they went to like really good like you know schools you take exams to get into i was the black sheep he just shows though it's not one size fits all is it you know you're not the [ __ ] but my mom used to do because like she would be almost there cool dude i mean i i see any school i'd come home at lunch time i'd dream of somebody to knock on the door she'd play here she is again she used to do you know she'll be fine like it was um and it shows you how much you know like school can suppress some children because if it's not um like a one one size fits all and if you don't fit that size it's the first place in your life where you get positive reinforcements for do feel like it's like you're saying you know you started to get success because you were getting sort of you could see the success of your hardware yeah whether it be monetary value or you were feeling good in yourself but in school you'd either get well done or you're bad there's no middle you know and you might not be bad you just you know you can't keep up with what they're doing exactly you know i went through school with no achievements you know i was never that kid that was cool so you just used to sit back and assembly and just be like because you knew your name wasn't ever going to get called um you know one in 10 people have some form of dyslexia dyspraxia autism adhd but it's not talked about it's not touched on in schools um i'm really big on it with like my girls but obviously being able to pick up on things and try and educate them in a different way to what i i needed you know even little things like when i read um school books with you know with one of my daughters i'll be like i'll read it out and i'll be really like theatrical about it now but i can will mary and beth and you know chippies i think he's a dog isn't he i'm at that stage i'm much harder now than he was when i was ready and then i'll go right so what did chip do what and we'll have a discussion because that's really important because that's the bit that you don't you can read and that's what i learned was that you can go into the classroom and be told some you can walk out and be like what happened there so it's little things that i try and pick up on now and go right let's talk about it let's talk about what happened there what did we do there and you know open up another conversation about things yeah and so yeah i'd gone through school thinking like that i was suppressed thinking i'm not gonna you know really uh do anything what are your moments i think when you're coming back and you're like yeah six ton there that's what's the feeling then they were made up yeah like obviously you were always a bit worried than that like what i was you know what i was getting into and stuff but yeah he was there proud me that um but i kind of like created an idea from nothing and was doing something i am so i was doing that and it was you know it was brilliant um and then yeah then i got pregnant so 21 and that's when i moved then and moved to like the other side of liverpool and so stop waiting for a bit and just i didn't have a clue what i was doing i think a lot of people can can really you know if you have a baby young and stuff and i stopped all i stopped doing the model days the modelling and stuff like that i am and just had no confidence in myself because i didn't know what i was doing i remember getting my mum to come to a baby class with me because i was saying i didn't everyone seemed to be great you know you go in these classes and they're all breastfeeding i didn't know the top from the bottom do you know what i mean i was like and looking back now i think i just had no confidence in myself like you know fast forward ten years later and i'm taking a baby to the freaking club and changing them in one of the dance moves but back then i was like so we long story short i was at home for like six months with this baby thinking oh i'm just gonna have to go back into into the accounts department and you know go back to doing that i'll look back now and think like come on even you could have well gone back to what you were doing i think i was just a bit young and scared and um so my husband he was a he was pleasure to him dj so he's what he was saying doing all this dj and everything that like dries off the pleasure names clues didn't it [Music] i was that like they were five one days and all that yeah i managed to get there a few times so it was yeah when i ended up like with it yeah yeah we definitely didn't go there when it was legal to go yeah we didn't yeah i think i was 15 or something yeah yeah yeah five one there's so many guys oh they were the besties um so yeah we uh carl had always done that so we come home one day and dolly must have been about six months old and i was like i was on meeting with him i see leaving i thought i'm gonna have to just go back and um go get an office job and then you look at the history fees and stuff like that and obviously all lead avenues was clubs and things and him the pleasure rooms was closed and he comes in one day and goes so to me there i mean you can hear those money interest clubs you know and i'm like i don't know what i just went can you yeah and he was like yeah we should open one i don't even remember like the conversation of how will we do it or what but i'm a bit like that i don't you know just go with it you know don't even think that's really important to just kind of like i went i was like yeah that yeah yeah okay let's say we had the bottom floor of the pleasure rooms and we done it we done it up on like a shoestring budget it was absolutely shocking because i had these like i'd wait with models and stuff like that for so long a lot of like i didn't know any girls that danced but i knew a lot of models and i'd come across scales who were dancers and like you know used to go to some bets and you'd see gales who were coming in every week in the sunbeds and you know the girl would work there but oh she's a dancer and i'd be like you know when they'd be all glamorous because obviously they've got to keep themselves keep up with themselves haven't they so um i had some contacts with bits and models and stuff so i was like i'll find the girls so we i remember doing this audition i have five gay i've never talked to my friends with me because i didn't have a clue as i say i'd never been in a straight club so i didn't have a clue like what what it was that i was you know supposed to be doing so i was like going my nails were gone i knew him i got five dancers off these girls they'd all danced before that's what i don't do now so that i think that's the least important thing when you're taking a gail on us as seeing a dance the actual dancing part yeah yeah you're talking through this though so i'm gone so you you don't know almost what you're looking for in the sense because you've never played but yeah you've won all fannies you know five you know girls and then what you've sat in a room with a chair that meant one give me a dance yeah a.m i love like the rawness of it it's like say yes now and then deal with whatever comes to your face yeah but you know what that's how um that's how i've got through life then when i think it's part of um they say like a dyslexic mind as you don't know your limitations you don't you're more creative and you don't see those limits that i think like a a normal as disabled person would so because you don't think about it you just go with it you can create so many amazing things by having that mindset do you know what i mean so we yeah speak to these girls and that and i took them all on because like you human might have said no i haven't got a clue what i'm doing you know what i mean so i took these girls on and we we opened the club and it's like us we had to remember that already yeah yeah all over the country [Laughter] oh my god yeah andy you've got this kit and woman's out and the room there are the either at the bean the downstairs room the place rooms it was tiny and i said to the camera she's like what you want me to do because i knew that the obviously they've got a dance but i'll just just throw a cane across there so i made this tiny room half the stars because i was like they come in they have a drink and then they go in there you know and have a dance so we opened this nice um with these five girls and the the club was shocked and jeremy fellas were coming in and walking about how do i like what the you know why just because because i twerk across the room there's a little sushi room living room coming in like and we just have one line of like seating across there like this little bike bench [Laughter] what do i do here so i'm talking to the girls and i'm laying and you know different like different things we put a booth in and you know we did have a pill and and we moved the care and the care only lasted a couple of nights so we moved the care and made a bit of a booth and things like that and so we had the club slowly started to progress and then i opened the second floor upstairs because it was obviously it was only small and you know we were getting busy um and i was getting a lot of fellows coming in that wanted to spend money and like lowly footballers and stuff like that and there was no privacy for them so i was thinking like there's more money to be easier and because people don't want to come in and be seen you know in my little waiting room you know they want to be done upstairs like a bit of a vip and that was something that never been done before because it was always just in liverpool anyway was um you know you go into club you get dancers you know you have a beer and you get off type of thing so i was like no there's there's more that could be done yeah so a set up like a bit of a package of satan one day with a scrap paper and then set up like vip packages where the girls could earn more money the club with day and more money the men would get the privacy and they could keep hold of a gail for longer and things like that um so we don't know all that we're in this building it's waiting to get sold so it's only a temporary thing but only in there for a few years so you know i'm only doing this job for money like that's all i was in there for and i felt not embarrassed but i felt like what are people going to think you know like um as my daughter's getting older and i'm taking it in history and that dread the question of so what you know when i go like oh well i'm in work because i'm waking until six seven o'clock in the morning so i can't be there at every drop-off and stuff like that but i mean i've got money do you know what i mean so i'm like and then people would say to you oh what is it you do and my heart used to sink and i used to lie all the time i was a fear you know of like being judged um so this is where you know it's all kind of come from with the girls and everything um so i'm doing this job and i'm thinking that it's temporary i'm not staying doing this the girls ruled me i got these more gail started coming to the club i think they got wind that it was a girl who didn't have a clue what she was doing that was running and he thought you know we we'll run rings around this one because i'm like 22 you know what i mean i'm a baby and i've got girls coming from another club who are like in the 30s you know the long-standing girls have been doing it for like 10 years so they run the club you know i was just like so like they'd be ordering mcdonald's into the club and you know like customers would be coming and they'd be paying them whatever they wanted and they were just it was awful you know when i was thinking like i'd do weekly meetings and i'm like right and they'd talk all over me and they were like really hard and like women but i had this baby so i'd go home and i'd be waiting like three four nights a week and then i'd go home to this baby and just be sat in the house with this baby and like i felt like my life was you know thinking what am i doing like i felt like i couldn't go out and speak to people because no one would understand the whale that i was in because it is very much like just a normal world and then there's this crazy world where anything goes you know your customers are all like these fellas who are going to come in and they're like the tits on it and that you know and like you don't feel nice it's like a nocturnal world as well yeah all this stuff's only happening when everyone else is asleep yeah yeah and it's not good for you do you know what i mean so then i kind of isolated myself a bit because i was thinking like i can't you know if i go out with people and i'm gonna hold it and they'd be like what are you what did you do when they said we're just it was like easier to just not talk about it um so i had a few years where i was like i can't do this i'm not doing this like the girls were draining the life out of me i was tired and you know they'd speak to me like [ __ ] the talk over me and i'd try and bring in rules and i'd see things that were wrong and stuff like that and it was as much as i tried it was always me and the girls and i wanted to you know like i'm going home on my own to to a baby like i i wanted to go in and talk to them and be well it was like your management you're the boss lady and we're the dancers and they were very like they were they were amazing with each other they had a fantastic bum but i wasn't no matter what i would tried i wasn't part of it i was the club that was taking money off them to get naked and that was that and so yeah it was really really odd and i had like a few years where i was like i'm not doing this but the money was there and that's you know it's odd when you're in a good money to walk away from a business that's so far so i just get someone else let's get someone else to do this and i went off to have my second baby and i did get got another another woman to come in and like run the girls for a few weeks came back and him she'd lined the girls up like they were in the army and there's like 10 girls and i walked in and i'm like there was 20 of you when i went off four weeks ago like where the [ __ ] is everyone going and they were like hey i've never felt so wanted in my life yeah she'd have them like military and i was like you can't do that like that you can't she was like yeah but then i'm like i know but you know we've just got to like try and work with them and try you know so we'll come back and i was like no i can't leave like this so i'm up in this vip one night and he we had this like low league football team in like the manager had brought them in the girls were upstairs and they're like loads of guys and the girls are all having drinks and everything with them and they were really they were honorable you know what i mean like slapping the girls asses and just you know like fellas together all and i've gone upstairs i'm at the box obviously i don't deal with the customers the girls are on the front line i'm sat in the office and then going out and telling them off and taking the money off them and stuff like that so um i'm on the bar i think i was like filling jokes or something for them and anna here's one of them like shout over to me and he was like hey he said something like a little blondie or something like you know and i'm like she's talking to me you know when you're like you cheeky bastard so just pretenders i couldn't hear him and he's like hey hey you know like little blondie you there and i lost up at one of the girls and he's you know he's doing all that to them and the girls just looked at me like reason you know just like shook her head and i thought this is what they have to deal with yeah do you know what i mean and it was at that moment of course this is why they are so hardened and they're getting such a bad reputation about their [ __ ] and they could they've got to be they've got to have tough skin because no one in this industry is out to look after them and that's why i never used to get it you think why are they so because they are like if you upset one of them you've upset all of them do you mean that they have each other's back they are amazing but i wasn't part of that and when i was stood up there that day and i felt so belittled and i was fuming i was thinking what do i do in this situation here do i like now like he you wouldn't one day but you know back then i was like i remember thinking like really like belittled i'm thinking this is this is how they feel every week and they have to just accept that so i didn't say nothing to them and i didn't say nothing to them for like the way they were with the girls i just left it and i went down the stairs and i went home that night and i couldn't sleep because i felt that bad and i felt like him felt like a failure and i was thinking that's not right like so we i was like nah so i went in the next week and i spoke to the girls and i was like hey they would say heads them wasn't they and they were like oh yeah bloody bar and i was like do you get that all the time and they were like yeah i was like that's not okay you know and they were like no i know and i was like no it's not so that's when i started to like make changes because it really it upset me seeing how they just dealt with being spoken to and treated and stuff like that and it was like that's just how it was she went the lappies and fellas just thought it was acceptable i hope to call it a slag or do whatever so that's where they kind of stemmed from then that i was like at least everything from the girls that i was doing all the mistakes and when i say i'd learn from the girls all the stuff they were doing and i'm like no you shouldn't be doing that you know like you've you've you've made that rule now because now i know that's wrong and we're going to do it this way and i always say to them like we have fans if they're late and there's so much structure and that's why rude doesn't really work for everyone because some people are still like quite old school and like to see it as a job that you can just rock up to and it's not that you know it's not i i treat rude as if you're working in tesco's like they're your shifts they're you know i was you know it's that's how it is yeah and a lot of people because you're there to earn money appreciate that and need that structured and that stability in their lives and so a lot of the rules that i have in place i say to them you created this because you did this which made me do this so it was at that point i thought now i i need to change this i i need to look after these girls better than need to be so i did get a lot closer to the girls then and as new girls were coming in i was able to kind of prepare them for what they could face and how that he wasn't gonna you know accept it um and like you fast forward now like i don't know say eight years on and he said like sassy just gone i'll tell you this shoot might be telling you hey one of the girls is in the dance booth and i'm behind the bar and one of the other girls comes running out because if you upset one you've upset them all do you know what i mean and she says um get i need security something he had okay he reused the door and comes in takes this fella out the booth he's getting kicked out the girl comes out and she's all upset so runs into the change the names and the girls are all like oh and we stay there it goes in the changing rooms and as much as like the now i'll always look after them i'm a bit like what are you trying for what are you you know like because you've got to be like that you can't you know yeah it's fine yeah it's like um you've got to be strong to be able to do that job and i always say it's like one in ten that apply you'll get through and then one and ten will survive after that point as well it's like it's like an endurance test you know like you spoke about the marines and stuff it's like there's a lot you've got to get through to be able to really like do that kind of job what are you crying for what's up come on let's go and have a drink well and she goes amy i'm dancing for this mason it turns around and this guy you're not even doing a dance floor smacks me on the ass so she's really upset and i was like don't worry he's being kicked out now you know and she said that's what said tumblr and i said what are you having the argument with him for i've told you you don't have the argument you walk away you ever feel sorry say that to the girls you ever even if you've spoken to and you're not happy in how you've spoken to or just remove yourself from the situation don't you know don't accept it don't tolerate it if you feel even if a guy just looks at you just smile and walk away don't ever feel that you know you've got to feel belittled in any way so what are you arguing with them for you know that's what we're here for is to look after you if someone does something to you you walk away and then we you know the dorm yeah yeah okay so she's all upset and i said come on i'll get you the drink let's go and have a little chat at the bar you know because everything get back out there straight away don't let one person ruin your night so then obviously i'm responsible for the girls so it's my job to then go to the dorm and say like this is what's happened to this girl because he needs to know why you know he's removed the customer from the club so he goes up to the the office and we've got to watch the incident you know you got to make sure everything's fine just in case you know police come or whatever everything's same so we're watching and i'm like yeah you know as much as i'm like that to the girl what are you crying for i'll go to the door i'm not like she's awful upset she's upset you know she's in bits i hate him because my girls my girls are angels you know and um watching the video she's she turns around she's dancing this customer does he quickly comes up and he slaps her from behind so obviously because she's from behind she hasn't seen her coming so we slapped her on the arse so she said they didn't hate me it was the shock so he slaps her she turns around within seconds and knocks like proper justice oh really yeah ally just chains him and he stood there and his woman just looked at me are we she didn't tell me that baby said she shouted he just looked at me he was laughing and that but i was like oh yeah so he goes into the changing rooms and i was like excuse me missus did you forget to tell me something do you know what she genuinely didn't know she was like what i said and i hadn't cracked him she was like did i it was just she was just yeah yeah i was like no you know she was like oh do you know what i don't feel so violated now and all the girls around you know they're all just like they detect detail and then she's gonna have a good night you know what i mean um but that's how far it's come because they know now that that's not um it's not tolerated and that it's like i say to the girls it's very much like it's it's your body your choice um and they're choosing to do something you know men are always gonna like sexualize women in in everything not just in strip clubs i think in life in general um and i think all women are doing is taking control of that industry and i can't see how there's there can be a negative on that you know what i mean so i'm preaching to the girls about how you know the job they're doing and you know it's because it's a short term you know it's like a footballer you've only got your looks and you you know for so long and so you say to the girls you know if you're going to do it make sure you've got something to shoot for it don't go out and like party and you just waste like 10 years of your life and stuff i have something you know to show for it at the end of it um and i'm just going off track here's where we're going that's what we like you know structure we just saw it wait what are you saying that the way like you can't say it to the girls like have a plan and stuff i mean what type of girls is they were coming and going i want to be a stripper i mean is it uni students is it i don't know young girls you were i don't know i want to do it full-time is it a lot of students you got a lot of students because it's a great way to pay your university fees off um and still have a life and still you know you've got obviously you've got a lot more free time if you're dancing three nights a week and then you'll have if you work and you know when a job test goes or whatever for xml today so yeah you have a lot of students so they time you over because they're only obviously temporary you'd have girls you just dance does they earn that much money they're happy to you know just dance and mature students girls with kids girls who have got a job that there's a full you know the girls range from like 20 that's the youngest i really take girls on you can't dance from 18 but i just doesn't feel like they're too young right up until like i think the older scale is 47. she smashes it yeah yeah it's like you know if you watch tv programs or whatever you would be convinced then you didn't know anything it's always painted there's like like someone who's got a drug habit and they're like it's always painted painted there's this like seedy thing isn't it you know it is yeah and do you know why i think that is i think it's because it's the unknown yeah because you know women rule the world women's women talk and women and because women were never really allowed to go to these places and i was one of them you know years ago i'd be like you know looking over at that strip club over the road thinking like what goes on in there i think as a like way very complex creatures you know what i mean um we men are of length obviously through making a living out of them that you just black and white do you what i mean there's just you just happy it's just like life's simple isn't it where women are like we're emotional creatures and so i think for a woman we find it difficult to for a man to go to a strip club it is lighthouses entertainment and you know men visually can be can find a woman attractive and appreciate it and enjoy the stages but that's it the war house and you know i guess we got so many wives running on the phone like quizzing or something like i always say what happens in root stays and you know what i mean like but i want at a corn i'm like no sorry oh you know when they say like we just have to drink this package you know but i want to say the whole lovely one home to you like you know you but you can't you can't like obviously disclose anything but i think for women we find it hard to comprehend because we get if we're attracted to someone we've got emotional attachments to that person yeah so you view of a woman like someone we're emotionally invested into that person where for a man this is what are for women to understand is they think like oh you love her more than me you fancy hey you're giving her your money and it's not it's just like life's hard to life's boring it's life's you know it's same we're just waiting every day aren't we it's like the same routine and see with rude it's like for me you go in and like when we made the new roads i knew from seven years experience in this tiny club you know now the biggest in the uk i knew what i wanted to create and that's why you walk in i've got the big stage to have shows it's an escape i call it like the dreamy mouse it's an escape from the real world to just go and enjoy like adult entertainment and i think it's something that everybody's interested in but it's not okay to like people just don't talk about it especially women men can be like oh and you know bull women don't talk about it so when i'm preaching to the girls about how they should be proud of what they're doing and you know and it was so hard to see so many girls hiding it from the families and stuff and then when we moved into the new club i was like i had a budget that i was working with it was such a huge venue so i had to do things bit by bit but i was really um i really really wanted to do something for the girls because i was like i need to practice what i'm preaching and put my money where my mouth is i wanted to create like a complex that was just for the girls where they had like because the girls although rudolph was at the changing rooms it being renowned that strippers just got changed in the toilets um the back of house was was not very nice and but they were never treated very nice and this was white going into it it was always this me and the girls and i could see i can totally see now why you know they didn't want to be involved with me or be nice to me or befriend me or anything like that um because of the way they're being treated it's just like you're that person that takes our money you know even though i was a female it i was still laughing yeah yeah object thing though isn't it it's like you know i'm guessing back in the day these women are treated like objects aren't they yeah yeah of course they are their products yeah definitely i think that must be that must be hardwired in their minds of like you know that nobody's going to be nice to us nobody's coming in either anyone cares about it yeah definitely because you've got men coming in you think it's acceptable to like all your slag or slap your arse and stuff so it's so destroying for them but there ain't no money so it's a it wasn't a nice like environment but you'd have to train the girls that that wasn't acceptable for them to be able to you can't just tell every customer comes in right no touch and know this know that you have to make those gales believe in themselves empower them yeah so i was lucky that over the space of nearly 12 years now i've got new girls coming in so you're wearing the blank canvas that they now like some of them like are too far and i'm like turn it in you're like be nice be nice play nice you know because they're that like a strong willed but um yeah so after like a few months of being in the club and you know getting money in and stuff i'd done this great big like changing rooms and we knocked through what was the men's toilets of the gales toilet study of society were huge in the second society they had these great big long toilets um but the men's toilets had to go there originally when we opened because obviously we needed men's toilets on the floor there and i just didn't have the budget i needed a poll on a boss we couldn't have these big fights you know um so once i got all that i said so they aimed away when i was like right the men's toilets are going over there we're knocking all this down and they were like everyone thought it was mad even like me that was like what could it cost you know cost a lot of money to do a talking entirely designer and he was like why are you investing so much money on something that your customers are not going to see and i was like because my customers aren't important the girls are what's important and i thought if i do this and give them this that's never been done before i'll prove to them that i do care that i am serious about changing the perception of this industry and i i'm a strong believer and you you you work to your surroundings so like you know if you go into a restaurant and it's really nice you're going to sit tall and you you know you're going to expect to pay a high price and you're going to if you go somewhere on the table's daisy and the toilet so you know you're just going to be like you're going to leave everything there and you you wear environment controls you know you're spending so much of your time there it needs to be positive and uplifting i always remember like week one day one i was in the marines and i had like me button open and that corporal come over and he said like do you button up he said you know if you if you look the part you'll feel the part you feel the part you'll start acting the part when you're acting up it just it but it all starts looking the path and you've got no chance of you you can't even look smart and it's just it's all i can do of course i do it now i walk into the changing rooms and they go if they get someone love me something to meet me i'm walking i'll be like what are they because the only way it pleases in roots foot shoes and hair and it's not so much a uniform but their underwear has got to be of a certain color and it's got to match and i'm very very hated you know you see girls like mismatched runs away or the hair lashed off and say like are we coming to work today or we cleaning the toilets what are we doing you know and they're like but it's for their own benefit you know you've got to it's your uniform isn't it you know if you look well your shoes are right and everything's so i'm constantly in there pulling them up and dressing them and but they appreciate it they realize that once and that's where they say it's a bit of an endurance test because you've got to get past me because i have i've haven't had an easy time doing it so as much as i'm all for them i'm not going to stand there and cuddle them and be like this is okay it's going to be you do this you do that you wait you know that's always have you said like you know that industry is probably being seen as something like you know like this bahali thing but like you're turning it into as you said tesla it's a it's a job it's yeah it's a big pink light yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah but it's like taking pride in you know of course obviously what you're doing not sort of i guess if you're hiding it what you do when you get to work just like well i just got to get through this sort of thing you know what i mean it's not of course yeah taking pride in your craft sort of thing you know you've created this culture within within it have you found the girls are kind of happy to say oh yeah i wake up rude or still i kind of oh i'm not telling anyone what to do ninety percent of girls like yeah and name they even say like to still say if they go to all the clubs the d woods um when they went to previous clubs they wouldn't talk about it but since they're being rude they feel because and it's just how it's marketed isn't it because it's the same instagram's boss like you know what i mean it looks really really thanks for trying to get back on my feet again i've got your poster didn't i got it yeah yeah jealous no it looks as in like you say it you've definitely taken it away from kind of this seedy back alley thing so you look at the instagram page look at the photos look at the girls i wouldn't betray that but i think having that background in modelling and because i do all those shoots myself and i love it yeah i love i get all the ideas and a lot of like me pictures that i do the name she goes to me it's just normal so um a lot of them i can't put on instagram and stuff because they're not allowed it's just too raunchy yeah but they're like the grace jeremy and we have fun doing them and i have all these ideas and stuff that goes on in the club like the whole like 50 shades trying to themes and stuff but um yeah i think i've got to get on twitter i think anything goes on the images you know the high quality the tasteful that the crisp and i'm like i'll post something i'm gonna go on i'm like oh no i'll delete that it doesn't look right on the feed and you know it's um but that's where i got a lot you know a lot of miguel's from i get them coming off and from london and everything but the changing rooms was a big thing so going back to that people were like you're matt you're gonna spend all this money and i was like now the girls are the heart of the club without those girls the is not a club this is what and i kept saying to people this is what we need to understand and we can piss these girls off and we can go no one's got a job like everything revolves around these girls so we knocked right through and it was it was um it was really interesting we actually found because the the building written used to be a brewery we filed a safe room that we didn't know was there so we had to get through this safe room where they used to like store money and all that i thought it was fascinating um and anyway long story short we've done a great big dressing room makeup room their own toilet so that they didn't have to share with female customers who were going to come in and go home which one did you make tonight and what's that you know and ask all those questions that people think that that that oblige should we say to the girls like ask them how much money they've got in their bank account no you're not like people yeah you're not people in the podcast they're like our jobs and stuff it's like the [ __ ] you speaking yeah people think dancers are like public property like they can ask these kind of questions like what's a female's view like a general female like in terms of is it still the same as all this strippers them is it started like starting to appreciate what i think it's i think massively i've seen since we um since i've done the changing rooms so then then what was happening was a lot of girls work because obviously girls can't resist taking a photograph for instagram because aesthetically it looks so nice i had all of a sudden i had all these girls taking pictures in the makeup room because the lighting was great and i'm posting them on instagram so then the promoting obviously the clubs was great for me so i'm getting all this exposure on instagram but they're putting it out there that they're a stripper he was still a stripper before that was done but because you've marketed it and it's no longer seedy and you're making it look nice in a nice environment and everything you you're changing their perception now if you change their perception and they're okay with coming out and being like yeah i am a dancer then people will then fast you know learn to accept it and be like oh because people can only throw stones or something if you're you like i did originally feel like oh [ __ ] what am i going to say here when they say so i've done the changing rooms and then it's all great um and there was a piece that went in like the echo about saying there was a you know quite good positive feedback and i'm still preaching to the girls and it's all going grease and then we had covers and obviously we had to we had to close a bit and come back and that was when i kind of realized that i had to step up to bring the business back because it was a point where i thought i'm not coming back from this i thought i need to make a stand and i thought i can't preach to these girls to be proud and go out and tell people what they do if i'm not proud of what i do and they do so i think stepping up because obviously i've done this been working on this for 12 years and you know in the background and especially doing the new routes and everything i was i went missing i wasn't even on social media for two years because i was so busy doing what i was doing that no one knew that it was a female run or anything like that and i think actually coming out and putting my face to it helps the girls as well and i think that's being like the proud to work for a woman in the industry who's changing things and you know but it also again i'm proving a point that i'm not going to tell you to do something that i'm not prepared to do so i'll gladly be the face of you and i'll take the flack on the baby off do you know what i mean and i think a lot of respect comes from that as well i mean even just we wanted to kind of obviously i've seen about you on kate's podcast as well you've done and straight away once started following it it was just that wow you know this woman's like like having a go zone in it and she's smashing it like wow and i think that's again a far cry of where you were like of you know doing the school you know i don't want to say what i'm doing yeah yeah it's amazing to see like the turn around and again it's gonna kind of filter down isn't it with people but then also society as well it's amazing you know how many moms i've had messaged me um over it as well and be like mums that i wouldn't thought um you know with like positive feedback and stuff and i think the people that probably did say stuff or assume things or whatever once you come out and own it there's nothing you can say you see they've not got nothing on you what i mean like education as well though it's like i've been educated just from speaking today it's about like being brave enough to say to people it's not what you think of course this industry is not what you perceive it to be like let me explain to you what it's like like you know i'm empowered and women in terms of you know they they're not just taking money out of the industry now they're going to go out and maybe a little of learning from you in terms of how you handle business do you mean it's not just this like sort of as we've said multiple times the seedy thing you're actually educating people too of course yeah the thing is as well as like i you know if i go out if i go to london i'm going to a strip club i love watching girls on the pole the stage shows and stuff you know and rude i'm the face there like clapping and everything i it's amazing for me like the female body is you know it women i've got attractive bodies compared to you know they are the more attractive sex and you put them on a pole and watch them dance it to skill like it's really really let me tell you it's really hard i've done lessons myself what they do it's amazing and you know you've got like great music you sat down you're watching these girls dancing and stuff but since we've done all of that the increase in female for fall coming through the club yeah and they're lovely um and it's what you do we get like lesbians coming in we get couples which is good so they'll come in for like jordan wife so many couples but it's nice i think the women appreciate it because they get to see that the girls are not a threat and the girls will let him they'll perform appreciating a woman like obviously earning a living like they're the yeah wives i think because yeah they're just open-minded they appreciate it for what it is and enjoy it with them and that's the thing is like your fellas not going and cheating on you you can go with them and have a drink and watch the stage shows get a dance or whatever chat to the girls some people go you can pay to just go and talk to the girls like i go to stringfellows i just want to talk to the girls i'm dead interested in you know where they've come from and what they're doing and um follow them on instagram and stuff because they live interesting lives you know it's it's a like a little unknown world we get loads of like hemp houses coming in you know if i like because it's great because you know it's somewhere that men will go on stag dudes women will go on the hem party for an hour and you know aim throw money on the stage and watch the stage shows and stuff whatever one question i've got for you as well and this is like from a bosch point of view what do you like now as rude's got bigger and bigger it might be kind of a rude question but do you play on words yeah um but for like the girls that you won't come in obviously everyone's got different kind of um preferences do you have to get the lock and go right we've got too many of girls who look that way we've got too many blondes we need a few more brunettes so we've got definitely yeah is that something that you'd happen to think of yeah like bigger girls um yeah girls of all different like we've got one girl who's only recent used tie right and we've got every cool chat booked out for weeks well i've never had a thai girl i've always wanted one and she's gorgeous i mean so many men love like thai girls and we got one that was like as soon as she applied i was like straight away and she come in and she is she doesn't just look gorgeous her energy is like she's hilarious and she goes right she's like amy i love you i love you and she's done some rounds and the men just absolutely love that and i know as soon as she come in she'd like smash it and because she's the she's the only one but um nowadays it's funny like one of the girls from gambia she was like no more black girls and i'm like i can't help you like when they come in she's fine but she's like no she looks too much like me you know with him but yeah deaf men do have they do have like preferences yeah and what i how does it work for like so are you like constantly looking for new girls are you know what i mean is it people just apply when they do or do you have to go scout them then or what um the girls come to me so i'll have times when i'm like full but don't get me wrong if like a girl applies and i'm like like like a tiger when i haven't got one i'm like wow you know yeah we need you if a girl applies and she's stunning and she wants a job there and i'm making a job for her and but you have different times of the year where you're busy for instance like your races or you know christmas and stuff but then you also have like a 10 around the girls like in the summer you'll have a lot of girls your students who'll leave so you'll take more girls so yeah it's a constant thing really you're constantly feeding new girls in but also you bring your new girls in because it's not this easy job with easy money other people think it is so for every four girls that i get oh my phone honestly got some other pictures i get sent something like that when you say you send a picture i think i don't realize you just want a picture of the face he's getting serious and conditioned yeah like what kind of picture am i just a picture of your face babe that's it so i'm like are you following every day you're deleting them so then the one should you send in a lot of them and i get it you know it's it's a it's an ever i can think a lot of them don't turn up you know they'll take a few weeks to come in and then the ones that do come in they can't afford you know and i always say to girls i'll never feed them my [ __ ] and be like this is the best club when you're going today in this you're going to learn that i always say think of yourself as a taxi driver you're going to pay a fee and it's down to you if you're going to sit there in the rank all night or talking or whatever or you're going to go and find work so we bring the girls in a name i would say from your first night just just treat it as a night out and i say if anything you can take it off your bucket list that you went to a strip club for the night and they sit at the bar and just watch they get a few dances off the girls the girls will give them dances on that and and you'll see because it's it's one of them you know how to take to it like a doctor walter and like you can have the best looking girl in the world and she won't it's not about looks it's about comforting yeah it's that works and again don't have to answer this if it's a real question but it's that how it works in the sense of they pay you a fame you take you take a fee and then it's it's how hard they work then type things yeah so some clubs are different some clubs work on commission i personally believe in a commission club that you will be penalized then for being a better girl and being a hiring and obviously it's within the club's interest for you to be the best skill on the pole the best looking and have the best so as a way of me keeping the best scales that's just personally what i do i've kept it on quite old school so i've kept it as a cash selfie so that means that if you're going to be in a grand you're paying that if you're going to sit on your arsenal only in 100 quid you still owe that so if phases girls out that aren't really aren't taking the job too seriously the girls that are will benefit from it yeah i guess it's changing that thing of like you know i'm guessing people have this opinion anyone can be a stripper you just got to be good looking yeah that's absolutely yeah that's absolutely not true yeah yeah you're cheating stripper ever yeah honestly yeah yeah because i've got no i just glared at them it's changing that isn't it in terms of like you know you can't just apply because you're good looking you have to come in and you know it's it's a time it's a talented craft you know years ago i had these two girls right there online now um these two could do identical twins blonde they were absolutely gorgeous right identical twins the floors i'd won the lottery and they come in and i was like oh my god it was like right okay right girls we're going to dress the same okay they were like platinum blondes so i added all of me as i was going to bed at night and i was like oh yeah i'm going to smash it with these so right we're going to wear these underwear set we're going to do this and i'll do that just didn't get it i was like you are going to absolutely smash it and then i want to be over there dancing and the other one would be sat on the move there and i'd be like what are you doing where's she where's your sister she's like she's over there with him and i'm like why aren't you i'd get it look at you and i'd be like what are you doing you just work together they've never danced before and they couldn't get it and i was like listen because and that's what i always say i'm i'm always lingering around i don't dance i mean when he moves because i'm like i'll go over to a girl who's new and i'm like what are you doing you say i'm talking to the customer and i'm like you've been talking for 20 minutes and he's drinking water and he's wearing a check shirt what are you doing move and they're like he said he's going to get a dance in a minute like he's not like is is he going to pay your rent this month go over there and work you know and because you've got those years of experience of now and who's not going to spend money what is the client's health like that you've got coming in all different so you've got like like stragglers who just want to come in and just they're just pissed they just want to watch some shows they're not bothered about getting dancers so they can sit and watch the shows and say to the girls you know i have a little conversation on that but you're not getting no money or not and then i move on he's going to talk to you for free all night if you let him you know it's having that cut-off point of being polite but he's not paying you for you at the end of the night to move on um but you get totally different like customers like we get a lot of foreign customers from the football that's why i've got that sign as you're walking um the the um they never walk alone sign i've got as you come down the stairs yeah and even the guy when he put that up he was like you're going to piss a lot of evidence i'm not bothered i'm going to make a lot of money off it like people come in you see them get in the picture talking front of it and stuff like those little things that people are going to talk about because that's a huge clientele for us we get a lot of like business people who come and bring like um corporate clients and stuff so they'll go upstairs and so yeah it's a it's a full range of yeah of customers yeah i'm just interested how did it go from i know we've touched on it but how long did it go to the tee to go from the room with the headaddy wallpaper to like where you are now full 12 years so it was seven years to the move and then it's been five years in the in the new club um the grand scheme of things it's not that long is it no i think the covert fast forwarders a lot as well because we were closed for a year so um i had to come back from that and i came back under restrictions which hadn't not been done because we wasn't allowed to open was being sexually entertained how do you you know how do you have a strip club with like social distance and stuff like that no i know but it was a it was really frustrating because obviously um they were there was different phases of the the lockdown it wasn't you know a different way clubs were allowed to open and you could say food and things like that and i was like we've got this huge club yeah and we've got like pubs allowed to open which you know didn't want anyone don't want to see anyone close one you know wasn't like bitten in that way i was just upset that i felt like we were being penalized because we had sexual entertainment on our license and i was fully prepared to do like distance dancers and whatever because i had gail's um you know my best girls all i was awake going and finding all the jobs and i was thinking with dancing once you get into it you're in and that great money it's hard to get out of once you're forced out of it for 12 months that's when you're going to look at other avenues and doing different things and you're probably not going to go back to it so i had that pressure on me as well as like losing my own income and losing me as a person because when you've done something for that long yeah that's who i am that's everything about me and for one day all of a sudden for your phone to not you know to not ring anymore you know look at your phone expecting to see loads of messages and stuff and there's nobody there it's it's soul destroying yeah how do you deal sorry mate how do you deal with obviously you you know fast-paced industry how do you deal with that then like personally when it's just like stopped in terms of like when we were all put in isil what was called isolation lock down yeah how do you deal with that from going from like the industry into you know being at home i got a dog i got a dog when i when i came off the marines i was dead alone but like locked down like that's when i got a dog oh yeah the best thing i ever done yeah oh yeah there's no love like this i've got four girls as well yeah we've got a boy and him he he gave me one of these which was someone to need me someone to because the girls because i'm quite same hard with the girls but kind of like you know i'm a bit like i'm not like a mumsy mum you know what i mean so they i bring them up to be like independent and stuff and then it backfired then because all of a sudden mummy was at home and they could do everything for themselves so yeah i got i got my dog and i felt like when the world was just going crazy wasn't it and you know you just you just like start to question humanity and stuff because so much just felt wrong and i had this i've got my dog who just like simple pleasures yeah just love me no matter what when i felt like i had nothing to give from you know what i mean i felt like i wasn't me anymore without dudes but it comes to you all the time you know i've got a bed's in the office there's the boss all the girls love them as well again rude question and sense of don't answer but how can girls make that much money from me the girls can make a lot of money from it yeah because that's just the thing you know that they're all they're making loads of money i mean is it can you make i don't i think it's exaggerated massively like people think oh they're in and like grands and grounds a girl can come in and say 12 in japan on one night but she can come in the next night not in a penny and she could be the most experienced girl it's just it is like driving a taxi but it's something that you lay in a lot of money once you're um experienced and it's like going back to those two girls the identical twins they could have absolutely smashed it but they didn't like i used to literally grab them i'd be in the changing rooms like acting out a scene and i'd be like this i get one of the girls i'm like this is the customer okay and i get and i'd be like you're going to come from behind them and you're going to put your arm around him and then you're going to come the other side and he's going to fall apart when he goes like that and there's two you know so but they didn't get it they left um of course it was like all the time well so yeah they can't earn money but it's not it's not an easy you know obviously they're awake and nights so it consumes their life but also that money comes with experience so a dancer can come in she's not going today and i always get asked this question what am i going to go and we're going to run i'm like well i don't know what i'm going to do tonight how can i know what you're going to learn tonight you've got to have patience and you've got to want to do it and so yeah they can earn money but it's once they invest in themselves they're experienced and they accept that they can have a really good night but then they can have they have a [ __ ] week you know what i mean it's not it's not guaranteed money and just to kind of finish on because again i don't want you to be late wait what's the kind of future hold then for ruth because it's already the biggest is it in the uk yeah yeah um so i'm i'm obviously still coming back from covert as well you know so we're still in we're getting a lot more international customers coming back now i think things are easing a lot aren't they thank god i know so for the earth right through the summer when we opened we were just staying stuck with stage shows and things like that which again allowed me to like reinvent the club um and do something that we we didn't do before which was like americanized like stage shows or people would throw money on the stage and the girls went from being dancers to hostesses and getting commission on drink sales and stuff so it allowed me to kind of look at other things to add to the club and to add to the customer service that i would never have thought of and obviously we're getting back to normal now the football's back and so i'm putting all my energy into that and looking at um obviously moving out and branching out into london because i've had a lot i get a lot of girls from london but i've had a lot of interest from big clubs in london as well wanting to win me to jump on board with them and invest in me and which is you know it's it's some huge like you know i wanted to be um like recognized by them and for them to want me when i feel like a baby you know in comparison to them um which is definitely something i'm interested in doing but i feel like rude strong enough and i'm strong enough to go on my own yeah and i go out to london quite a bit and go to the strip clubs and stuff so for my big goal that's where that's where i'd like to be is start like branching out and taking this to other cities and not girls haven't because i do get a lot of girls traveling down from london to come and work with me and with the girls and come and meet us or something yeah so um that's my ultimate goal is to be able to yeah to do that and then retire one day [Laughter] empowered and women sort of thing that we touched on in terms of you saying that you know you want the girls to feel like this is their thing is that something that you're obviously massively passionate about in terms of allowing them to not feel like they're working in a dancing club to feel like they own something well definitely when i always say to them you're self-employed you're your own boss i'm here to guide you and obviously i set like guidelines out in which you follow but now they're very much their own boss i'm always like was talking to one of the girls this morning because she saves money we were talking about oh that's great you do this and i do that and we do and it's it's being a they've got that control over their income and their lives is because they can wake when they want you know they book the shifts in and their earnings is down to themselves of what they want and so there's no limitation on them do you know what i mean and it also opens doors for them because they can in a lot of money quite quickly so it enables them to then go and do courses and things that they're really interested in that they might not have been able to do if they were working trying to hold a full-time job down you know without the the income that they would have been in and they got to meet interests and people as well you know like we get a little like tv stars in and you know things like that did you get like famous people coming in yeah we do yeah yeah like retired like footballers and you know like these what are they called essex people and all that coming down and is it the case of like are they getting you to sign like that's non-disclosure that like is that kind of a science they're not asked you know you just know yeah i had him we had the press come in once years ago annie because they've got wind that um there was a he was a really big footballer at the time he'd signed for liverpool he didn't last long and he'd come and we didn't tell anyone um we got seen outside um when people were taking photographs and all that and they come in and i said to them i was like well yeah you could give me like 500 quid or something to tell you that they've come in but i'm never ever getting a footy player coming through this door or a boxer or ever again because soon they'll be like she's a grass you know i mean don't go to where so it's not within my interest to tell people and to not you know the girls aren't allowed to phone on the floor for that reason because it's private so you'd be stupid to know what i mean because no one's coming to you then are they no i think it's it's such a cool story i've got about a million more questions i know oh you don't have to have me back i think it's just like i think the bravery that you've shown to try and shift the whole industry is the coolest thing for me because definitely yeah it would have been it yeah it would be easy for you to fall in line and be like you know let's keep this behind closed doors let's keep yeah we like to have the bravery to go you know what i'm not going to be embarrassed on the school run about what i do i'm not going to like you know tell these girls to don't tell your family you do this you know having the confidence in yourself to do that it's such but i think again as i say it that just came over time yeah because i you know like me when i went into it i just went in to it with for money and i didn't not didn't get on with the girls but they didn't they didn't you know they didn't see me as a friend and i said you know they would they were a bit you know like a great not aggressive bull you know they were standoffish yeah yeah yeah listening to your full story you come full circle you can totally kind of see why it may be starting like that yeah yeah having a small insight into being treated how they were treated every weekend and how they they were just kind of groomed that that was acceptable and then they would go and get changed and shitty toilets and stuff like that you can understand why oh yeah but you know they were the way they were because no one else was going to come and stand up for them and look after them you never changed your attitude yeah they said i'll raise their eyebrows you have to say yeah this is standard yeah yeah she's just like yeah as i say i felt like [ __ ] of the thought it's my juicy yeah to look after you and that's the sat and other sides where people don't see is like you're not just there taking money off them and booking the shifts in you know you're there you've got the ball yeah you're there you know you banned them from pregnancy tests when they've come back from ib fair or when you know when things have you know the miscarried or when you know they've been in an abusive relationship it's just like you've got young women in this day and age and you're responsible for them and they come with all those issues and you know you're there to to be that person nothing they can't really go home and tell them as well you know what i mean you've got young girls who are in the city to study ooh parents you know in another city so you kind of like you feel a juicy as well to to look after them um and that's another thing like because i get a lot of mums like actually thanking me you know what i mean like and you think well if that was my daughter i'd wanted to be there and that's where like it frustrates me you know you get like people like report and you're on instagram and then i think i didn't create this industry i've just come along and made it better and like you know gone out and just put my face through and realized like because they don't agree with you like you know you'll get they'll be in a press article and they'll give you [ __ ] and stuff like that and i think like you're not going to change humanity you're not going to change how men and women think or what men want to see you're not going to just demolish strip clubs and if you did i think there'd be more problems because we'll just go on the ground again like course just like just like ink over for instance when they shot nightclubs people just went to parties now i'd rather i'd rather my daughter went to like a club where it was regulated and you know that's what i mean you could imagine like you know you'd hate to think about like domestic violence and rapes and attacks because those desires will always be there and if you you've got a controlled environment with security and with someone like me with everything called regulated you know the police license and coming in checking everything and you've got that safe environment for that to be yeah you know it's just entertainment that's the other thing i think people think it's a lot more than what it is to know to me i think that's the most important thing isn't shifting from as you've said a couple of times like you know adult entertainment from this like you know taboo subject of you know these women do this or did it's not it's like to normalize yeah do you do a dance they take your money and if you want anything else you're getting told exactly what are you getting the clown yeah i mean you've created an environment where the girls obviously feel you know more than confident to say this is what i do like if you think anything else is going then you know point blank it's not so move on i think that's probably something you need to be commended for as well yeah definitely because like i said before if you you own that what can someone say now i go to school and i feel that proud because i think you have got nothing on me because i've come out and like said you know this is what i do type of thing and because it was frustrating when you're working so hard and you're doing good but you feel like you can't talk about it you can't shelter from the roof yeah yeah yeah i think it's such a cool story genuinely is see that knew this [Laughter] thank you
