hello welcome back to my channel thank you so much for joining me today today i am here to plan my week in my amplify daily planner i talked last month how i kind of wanted to try some new planners and share that journey with you and so we are here this month with a whole new planner last month i felt a little bit stale in my plum paper daily planner and so i switched to the cultivate what matters and then the ink and volt daily planning pads that had hourly sections and a page for every single day and i loved being able to map out my day by the hour sometimes i feel really constrained by that and really pressured to finish things in the amount of time but i feel like i've gotten pretty good at knowing how long things are going to take and structuring my day in a way that doesn't make me feel overwhelmed in a way that works for me and so i was doing it on those planning pads and while those did work for me i was really craving something dated and something coiled something that would encourage me to use it every single day because there was a page ready for every single day i had tried the amplify planner back in quarter one as a strictly work planner i didn't use it for personal at all and it just felt too big it felt like i had way too much space so i wanted to give it another go trying it for both work and personal combined and since we were already a little bit of the way into q3 the q3 ones were already on sale and there was a q31 with the perfect color for me just this perfect right playing with like in pink so i ordered it and i have been loving it and i'm excited to plan my week in it with you all right good morning monday morning in my amplified planner the first thing that i'm going to do is cover up this daily habits section i'm just whiting out this like outside line over here because the quote sticker i'm gonna put here is not wide enough when i first started using this planner i was using that corner and i was putting my routines there so i put like am lunch communication pm but i also fill all my routines into the hourly section so it just got really repetitive and i have lots of coat stickers that i am not currently using so i just decided to go ahead and use it this way so i white out those outside edges and then i put the quote sticker down here actually last week i was using white so it didn't really bother me that it was off center now i'm not sure if i want it there or if i want to also white out this side but it's still narrower than these boxes no i'm still gonna i'm gonna keep it off center and that is the beauty of a daily planner is it's just for today and if i decide that i really don't like it off center then tomorrow i can change my mind but most of the time i'm looking at my planner like this at an angle anyway instead of like straight up and down so i just don't think it's gonna bother me that much okay step two is covering up some of these categories so i will leave the today's priorities but i'm gonna cover up work tasks and personal tasks and so i've just been kind of using these rectangles i can't even think of what they're called little rectangle stickers guys i have so many stickers so many freaking series so i'm trying to find some that are somewhat similar to this red let's do these i'm going to do kind of like a rainbow this week so i'm starting with red today i'll do orange tomorrow this first sticker is just going to be to do i know it's not that different from work tasks and even though i am using this planner as a combination work and personal planner which you'll see i i like just having a to-do section most of the time i don't add a ton of work to do's in this section because work to do's i end up putting over here in the actual hourly section so it doesn't end up this ends up being mostly just personal tasks and then this one i change to tomorrow if you watch my plan with me where i was using the cultivate what matters a daily notepad i really like having a section for things that pop into my head that i want to do tomorrow so i like having that tomorrow section all right now let's get to actually planning out the day so i've been using i used on those stickers i use the micro micro firm o3 because i need a permanent sticker on those christian design stickers or permanent pen and on the actual planner i'm going to be using the paper mate flare which is my favorite pen and the whole white world and the paper on this planner is fantastic it's bright white it does not even remotely shadow with the papermate flare in my heavy hand and i just love it okay so i kick off my day with my morning routine this is actually part of my morning routine it's almost seven o'clock and then on monday wednesday friday since i don't go into the office i take a full hour to work out one of the reasons why i do love this planner is the half hour time slots although there are times that i just do a full hour so i just kind of write it over the whole thing and then the next hour is like shower get ready eat breakfast all those kinds of things i don't write that in my planner i know that that's what's gonna happen it has to happen to get started with my day and i i like seeing that empty space in my planner so i don't bother with that um so then the next thing i'm gonna do is write my lunch routine and then if i have some sort of errand to run i usually will include that but today i just i'm probably gonna go for a walk because i don't have any any actual errands that i need to run actually that's not true i need to go to the ups store i just realized the sticker is crooked i don't know if this is just an old chrissy indesign sticker before her paper was removable or this paper doesn't like that but that did not work out well where i got an email that a package got delivered not 100 sure what it is so i'm interested to see what that is and then the afternoon obviously working my full-time job i will go fill that in when it's time to start working i'm doing this at 7am as part of my morning routine i'm not ready to start thinking about my full-time job yet um and i will be doing that off-camera because it's kind of hard to plan out work and keep things um you know that i'm not allowed to share but i do like using it for both work and personal i just like seeing it all in one place it just has been working for me i talked about that in that last plan with me video i don't know what it is so all of that and then at five o'clock five to six i do my communication routine and then from six to six thirty i have a call and then after the call i'm definitely gonna cook and eat dinner um that's another one of those things that i don't really fill in and the reason is i like i like to check things off the things that i 100 need to or like really want to get done i'm gonna check them off next to them here that's why i stopped putting routines in this corner cooking and eating dinner like that's going to happen because dinner has to happen um and i know that that's where that space fills in but i would rather have that white space there than write the word dinner but then there is one thing i need to do after work um and that is to do some of the one-on-one prep work for my new one-on-one students that i'm working with i'm so excited to be working with a couple of people one on one we have our first calls next week and so i am wrapping up some one-on-one prep they've submitted a lot of information and i'm gonna make a plan i'm just i'm so excited um so that is what i'm gonna do this evening i typically have been trying in the past you if you've been around and watch my vlogs i try not to have plans on mondays i like to leave monday evenings empty to kind of rest and get ready for the week but since we're going out of town this weekend and i have a lot of extra things on my plate this week between the one-on-one work and the accelerate your goals course it's just that that's what's happening this week um so far i have not really thought of any other to-do's i'm gonna do today i will tell you i don't always fill in these top three lines in the today priority section i consider this space for like absolutely urgent things actually you know what i am going to put one thing today one thing there today and that is to post the instagram story for today's youtube video that's it and that's a 30 second task and that's one thing that like has to get done today because the video goes up today and it doesn't need to take up space in the calendar because it is a two minute task as always with every daily planner that i've used if it is going to take more than five minutes it needs to actually be in the calendar section otherwise it can be in this to do section or i have to accept that if i put it in this to do section and it's a more than a five minute task it may not get done today and that's just that's just something i have to accept so that's how today is looking i will i will do my best to show you what this looks like tomorrow with kind of some of the work stuff maybe covered up um but you can see like what to do i ended up adding and how the check marks look and all those things all right here is how yesterday sort of turned out you can see that i kind of check things off on the schedule section as i do them some of the things over here either i just like decided i wasn't going to do that i realized i never prepped an instagram story for yesterday and there just wasn't i just decided to not make one um i typically share my youtube videos on instagram mostly to be able to save them to my highlights not because i get a ton of extra views from instagram and so the video that went up yesterday i was like that one doesn't need to be on my highlight so that's why i decided not to do that if you were curious um i didn't get to this and then i started jotting some things down for tomorrow now today is one of those days that i am very glad that i did not plan the night before kind of debated this whole like planning the night before thing in prior videos and i've settled sort of on a morning of planner and today's one of those days that i'm really glad that i did because i slept in and i'm sort of pushing things back and then i'm also deciding to work from home today when i was originally going to go into the office so that sort of changes things as well um i will explain a little bit more as we get into the schedule but let's start with the quote sticker i didn't mind that it was um off center like i said it because i keep my planner like this kind of an angle all day it's uh it doesn't really bother me so let's pick an orange one this one's a little bit narrower than normal half boxes oops nope not even a little bit okay well we'll just put this one back on in the binder i did notice it looked a little bit narrower but i thought it still might see that's like a little bit shorter uh so that doesn't work it has to be thick enough i love this it's from gilmore girls i love this quote it's from rory's graduation speech let me know down in the comments if you're a gilmore girls fan i just i love gilmore girls okay now we need a or two of these little um [Music] these little boxes actually these ones that are on this full page match pretty perfectly in terms of the color um sometimes when i'm like in a rush or i just don't i don't feel like pulling out the stickers i just cross it off like i literally cross off the word work task i'm right to do and then personal task i'm right tomorrow above it um i don't mind that look like it's just for one day obviously i'm still filming a video so i'm taking the time to put the stickers down and do the whole thing but just to be totally honest there are days that i don't i don't do this the whole sticker thing the most important part is that the planner is useful to you whatever that means so let's move over i did when i when i say i overslept i slept in it was really only about 30 minutes but it was 30 minutes and i didn't do all the prep work that i would have liked to do last night that's the other one of the other reasons why i decided to work from home so i'm going to do my am routine here just 30 minutes push back i do only typically do a 30 minute workout on tuesdays and thursdays normally it's because i go into the office today it works out because i'm gonna do work out i'm gonna use eight to eight thirty to get ready and then i'm gonna do a plan with lincoln thing from 8 30 to i'm gonna prep the vlog that goes up on fridays and then the rest of this is all work i'm not gonna write in my lunch routine because one of the reasons i'm also working from home today is i was supposed to have a call a zoom call for something wedding related yesterday and she asked if i could push it back to today and i said yes because i i just want to get this thing done but i don't want to take a zoom call at the office at the office for something personal even if i'm taking it as my lunch break and it's i'm doing it in the afternoon so i'm gonna put oh i don't know why i just wrote that over the whole thing it should only take a half hour but at three o'clock i have a wedding related call and that's going to be like my lunch hour obviously i'll eat lunch earlier in the day and then some of the other things i do during lunch like go run an outside errand that's not gonna happen um prep something for dinner doesn't matter because i have dance anyways and then yeah getting all the food together is the reason why i'm working from home because i just don't want to deal with getting all the food together uh to take it to the office so then my communication routine and then from six to about 9 30 is dance and then pm routine 9 30 to and that is what the day looks like in terms of things i need to get done today i need to practice at some point you take five minute break i need to practice the dances for tonight cleaning my ring that's something just very random but i want to do it before we go out of town this weekend um because we're going to be seeing a lot of family friends and stuff i have just people that we haven't seen since we got engaged so what yeah which we've been engaged almost two years but we haven't we haven't been back to houston together i don't think since we got engaged so that's why that's all i can think of right now that i like need to get done today tuesdays and thursdays are busy it's a lot already filled in here i'm sure some other things will pop up as i go throughout the day um but that that's what my day looks like good morning today is simple in terms of planning but it's busy there's a lot of things that are just taking up all of my extra time so so today we are doing yellow so let me look for a yellow this one i really like that quote but it looks like one of those that's a little bit too short now let's just try it let's just see how it goes because i do really like that quote what i learned yesterday with some of these quote stickers they're not quite tall enough to cover up oh that works okay let's go to the rectangles oh so many stickers okay that was a little bit more of like a golden orange i'm gonna do these two oh these might be a little bit big i think i've been using kind of those thinner ones but it just means that i can't use that first checkbox definitely this planner has more check boxes than i need it that would probably be my biggest i don't know if complaint is the right word i'm still trying to find like you know quote unquote the perfect planner for me um and what i would change about this one is first off i would make the lines bigger like i need more space to write than is available here and then also i wish it was just smaller like i don't need this extra space like i wish it cut off like here and then maybe had less checkboxes more space to write and then i don't i never really use this space at the bottom sometimes i randomly will have ideas pop into my head and i don't have anywhere else to write them but that space at the bottom but really i would rather have a smaller planner than all this extra space that i don't end up using okay let's get to planning same old same old six to seven and routine wednesdays i do a full hour workout wednesdays i also do a big stretch which i'm really looking forward to and then normal lunchtime routine today i don't really have any errands to run in terms of my outside time for my lunch time routine i might keep it really short just to get outside get some vitamin d but then get back inside because like i said i have a really busy rest of the day my communication routine from five to six my live from six to seven and then at 7 30 is the first accelerate your goals live class that is from 7 30 to nine and we do typically go all the way to nine on the first like all the way for an hour and a half on the first session so i'm sure it will go until then and then my pm routine in terms of to do's the one to do i definitely need to do today is schedule the live just get it up on youtube have a have the link all ready to go um if i get around to it i want to prep actually that's an errand i can run is um some amazon returns that i need to do so i need to get all that prepped and then maybe that's what i could go and do during lunch and then oh the one other thing i need to submit today is i need to submit my tax numbers it shouldn't take me more than five ten minutes but i need to pull my tax numbers and send them to my accountant for q3 taxes if you're confused it's okay q2 and q3 for tax purposes and before you think that they would like it's as of june 1st and september 1st instead of july 1st and october 1st i know it's confusing um so now that september 1st i need to wrap up all my tax numbers and send those to her for her to run my q3 taxes and so far that's all i've got i say that's all like i said very busy day looks very simple on the planner but it's a very busy day good morning it is a thursday i want you to let me know down in the comments if you like these kinds of videos i typically have been trying to do them at least once a week um or once a once a month for a week and i do an entire week because sometimes things pop up and i feel like it allows me to show when things change whereas if i just did one day you know it could be just nothing goes wrong that one day i feel like a week allows for that kind of uniqueness that happens throughout the week however i do also feel like sometimes it gets very repetitive um when things don't change or don't pop up it's like oh well that was all very much the same that week and kind of boring so i don't know let me know down in the comments if you like these kinds of videos i do have another planner that i am thinking about trying in q4 when this one is runs out because this one is only q3 planner so it is done at the end of september so we will see if i use a different plan i guess i would likely film one more september week in this planner and then maybe i'll start the new one like a new plan with me video will be october but let me go ahead and get today all set up a green themed day all right so far everything is just as normal so am routine six to seven all right well the camera battery died and i did not realize it so i just filled in a couple of things um i accidentally wrote that i'm doing a full one hour workout instead of just a 30 minute one i also mentioned that sometimes i feel like writing things like doing my am routine every day from six to seven feels repetitive but i also like having the option to move it to a different time like earlier in this week when i slept in um and then for lunch i am going to take a full hour for lunch but i only wrote lunch on from 12 to 12 30. that will just let me check off that i did my lunchtime routine and then from 12 30 to 1 i will do the lattes with lincoln recap as part of my lunch time routine that's just where i watched the live from yesterday add in any links that need to be added in and then share a summary recap over on instagram in terms of things that i need to do today priorities i need to make sure i guess let me let me finish the schedule first i'm jumping the gun um like every day communication routine from five to six and then it's thursday so i have dance from six to about 9 30ish depending on how well the trains cooperate which we had some flooding last night so i'm not sure the trains are going to cooperate today uh priorities so i need to check in for our flight today i'm tempted to write that at the time so we're flying tomorrow to houston for the weekend and we're flying southwest so we need to check in exactly 24 hours before i will set a timer on my phone to make sure that i do that the only reason i won't write it in here is because i if i need to write something work related if i have a meeting or a task that i'm doing during that time i don't want to take it up but i might go ahead and put like in parentheses here 2 30. but like i said i will always always set a timer on my phone when i need to check in for southwest flights i set it for five minutes before that way i always get the best seat available and then i also need to practice at some point take a quick five minute break and practice the routines before tonight's rehearsal and then i'm also gonna put the instagram post for lattes with lincoln i usually do it as part of the recap but i'm just gonna add it here just in case and then i also need to pack tonight i was gonna do it yesterday i don't know when i thought i was gonna do it yesterday i am okay do saving it partially for tomorrow given that our flight's not till 2 30 and i'm taking the full day off but there's also a couple things i want to get done during the day tomorrow which you'll see before we leave um so it might start tonight just by pulling some things out or today that i know i want to pack and then i'll finish it up tomorrow but i just i'm i oh i definitely need actually you know what let's just change it to the pack list i want to print out the pack packing list and make the list at least maybe if i get that done today i'll feel good the other thing that i want to do today if i can find time is meal plan for next week so one of the things i do want to do tomorrow before we leave is actually go to the grocery store i know it sounds kind of backwards to be going up to the grocery right before we go out of town but we're only going to be gone well i'm only going to be gone three days and i get back monday afternoon and i would like to come home monday and have a like fridge full of groceries and be ready to go so if i can get the meal plan done at some point today i'm not sure where that's gonna happen least i could think about the meal plan that would be great i've mentioned this before the things i usually put in the to-do list section it is just like it would be a nice to have if it doesn't happen today it's not the end of the world whereas the things that are over here in the schedule and then usually the things i put in the priority section those like for sure need to get done today so that is what today looks like all right it is friday you know i'm not even gonna bother with the cut white out in the stickers because today i'm just kind of in a rush to get a bunch of things done it's a little bit later than i wanted it to be and i have a lot of things that need to happen today so it is the friday before labor day and we are headed to houston this weekend my fiance's mom is getting married so i'm gonna mark leave i'm gonna start it at noon i'm working backwards today we really need to leave at like one at the latest but i i'm gonna check the traffic and make sure and i would rather have some extra buffer time i don't want to be like this is not something we can just be late for right we can't be late for the airport so um i'm gonna start marking it at noon it is seven o'clock now as of the time that i'm filming this so seven to seven thirty i am gonna go and write film because it's gonna take me a few minutes to do this and then i'm gonna go ahead and meal plan while i've got the camera up down in a meal plan as part of the vlog that vlog will already be up by the time this video goes up if you want to go check that out i normally would want to try to get my workout in as soon as possible but i also want to prioritize what has to get done today and as much as in my mind a workout is to have to for my mental health it's not necessarily i have to so meal plan and then i am going to start packing that's going to be the first thing i do while i finish up my coffee and just get started and because trader joe's doesn't open and then the next thing i'm going to do is run to trader joe's i talked about yesterday go get some groceries for me for next week and then and that i mean sometimes trader joe's takes 20 minutes sometimes takes an hour i'm hoping on a friday morning it's not going to be that busy but we never know so trader joe's and then when i get back from trader joe's i guess i will have plenty of time and then i'm gonna take an hour to work out and then i will shower get ready and finish packing all the stuff that i like couldn't pack until i got ready makeup yeah things i only have one of which is not much i did a vlog a while back actually about how i for all my toiletries i got like a second smaller version so i didn't have to worry about it with packing but there are obviously still things like a hairbrush and makeup that i only have one of okay so that's the plan so if i stay on the schedule and nothing takes way longer than expected i will be able to get everything in that i want to get done before i need to leave for the airport and again i put in some buffer time here too and the nice part is if i have extra time at the end of the day i'm just going to read that's my plan if i have extra time before we need to leave for the airport um i am just gonna sit on the couch and read or if sam's ready to go maybe we'll go to the airport and read um and just get get airport security and everything over with our flight's not until 2 30 but the traffic here recently and just it's been it's been a nightmare so let's go all right that's it i hope you
