hello everybody thank you so much for joining me live if you're new here i'm laiken and i go live every wednesday at 6 pm eastern to talk all about goals planning and life and i'm so excited to have all of you here live and thank you to everybody who is watching the replay i'm so excited to hang out let's kick it off with our question that we start every live with and that is what are you just having water tonight i'm so behind y'all so i have this and then i still have this to finish for my big water jug uh so i brought it with me in case i do finish this i'm gonna fill it up while we chat so that i can get through my water tonight it's um it's been one of those days one of those days all right we've got some more water jessica's so dehydrated i'm glad it's not just me i am so dehydrated oh corey a pumpkin cold brew i still have not gotten one i um i think i mentioned this somewhere i'm usually not a big fan of pumpkin flavored coffee um i like pumpkin pie like i like pumpkin flavored things like pumpkin cookies pumpkin cake um but i've never liked the pumpkin spice latte i have not tried the cold brew yet now that it is officially fall i will give it a try at some point at some point um iced coffee water unsweetened iced tea uma english breakfasty it is so late that there's so much caffeine in that tea you're amazing um we got some more water just coffee 8 a.m in australia thank you for joining us chocolate chai that sounds good water and having coffee so fun all right before we hop in to questions i want to let you know in case you missed it on instagram or just to remind you that starting tomorrow tomorrow kicks off our 100-day challenge as of tomorrow we're starting tomorrow thursday september 23rd there are 100 days left in 2021. now you might see that number and feel really uninspired you might be like only a hundred days left that is a lot of time a hundred days is a ton of time for you to do a lot of things and so i want you to see that number and feel excited and feel inspired that you can still make a lot of progress in 2021 with 100 days left to go and so i have a template that i created for instagram stories for you to keep track of your 100 day progress the goal is not necessarily to do it every day if like life is too unpredictable for us to commit to something every single day but the more we do it the more progress that we make and the goal is progress not perfection so i want you to grab that template over on instagram and fill it out and then tag me and start posting your progress i will share mine again tomorrow if you missed it i am planning to clear through photos on my phone that is my action step for this last 100 days and i will then continue to share updates every monday and just show my tracker and where i'm at so if you have not yet i want you to share in the chat what it is that you are doing for your action step for the last 100 days and if you're watching the replay i would love to hear in the mile a day outside if possible uh some parts of the country it's too cold where you are it's too hot fill in the exercise ring on your watch jess that's a really really good one um hello hello eight hours of sleep a night that's a really great one 100 days of gratitude joanna i love that one declutter your house diane what are you going to do is it like one item a day or like one drawer a day crafting for five minutes a day rachel i love that d stashing sticker books you're not using that is a really good one 10 minute walk journal every day evening routine lifting weights walking daily track spending instagram stories or posts kathy that's a great one decluttering your house training session with your dogs susan get moving waking up on time i know someone else that's doing that too corey 30 minutes of crochet amanda that's amazing 30 minutes is a lot every single day major props for that being your choice 100 days of writing no spend and bible challenge meditation and three times walking a week i love that you've chosen a weekly goal as part of this 100 days the way that the tracker is set up is if as if it is a weekly calendar so you can see like the first circle is on a thursday is how it lines up it's a monday start calendar um and so if you want to do something like this where it's just three times a week you could totally do that as well i love it i love hearing all of your actions and i can't wait to see all of your progress over on instagram all right i know shannon i saw your question before we started dropping in answers how did moving your iced coffee to the morning and hot later work out uh so if you don't know what she's talking about if you watched my one of my weekly vlogs i don't know if this was a while ago i talked about my struggle with finishing my coffee in the morning before it was time to work out i shrunk my morning routine down to make space for dance and that has resulted in this like coffee situation moving the iced coffee to first thing in the morning works out like i finish my coffee by the time i need to to work out i don't always want to have hot coffee in the middle of the day though because i it's hot outside it depends on like what the weather is like outside and kind of how things are going sometimes i just have a second iced coffee and i realized i needed to update my my hot coffee that i get is instant coffee from four sigmatic and i have it on a recurring subscription and i'm like haven't been having a hot coffee every day so i usually get um 30 servings delivered to me once a month and normally i go through them and it's fine but i'm really behind and so my shipment just went out and i should have decreased it but now i'm going to be even more behind i need to make sure i remember to update my next one so i don't end up with a ton of hot coffee in my possession but it's working and again it is temporary because dance is only another four and a half weeks which is bananas and then uh and then it'll be over and so it'll be back to my like normal routine and getting all that situated thank you for asking that one for checking in all right what other questions do you have what do you want to chat about tonight if you don't know how to phrase it into a question you just want to talk about a topic you can drop a topic in the comments i feel like my shirt looks super boring i'm wearing my shirt from color me courtney that says you'll never shine by throwing shade i just love love love this shirt it makes me so happy but you can't even see it all you see is like the boring white white shirt i promise my shirt is more exciting than that um all right new for me i purchased zebra mildliners they bleed through my papers this has happened to you diane it depends on the type of paper for most paper i use i don't feel like my mild liners bleed through i don't know how hard maybe you're pressing them down but i don't typically have that issue depending on the thickness of the paper jumping right into the cold face what matters products what are you getting on cold food matters launch day how do you feel about all the cold day what matters products so when you are an updated tracking since saturday so i'm still waiting on it hopefully it'll get here soon and i'll be able to share all of my thoughts with you on powersheets and the new accessories before the launch um the thing i'm the most excited about in terms of accessories if you didn't watch their live is the snap and bookmark super pumped about that um and excited to see all the changes i did watch the live from yesterday where they showed they showed the inside i honestly thought they were going to do a full flip through of the whole product and they did not but they showed a couple of things um that they've updated on the inside i have mixed feelings about a lot of them but i'm going to save all of that for my review video i if you've watched my review videos in the past at the powersheets i'm very detailed in telling you what has changed from last year's what is new on this year's how i feel about that is it a good change or a bad change and like how i feel about going buying new powersheets for the new year um so i will be working on that video and i will get it up as soon as i get powersheets in my hand hopefully soon hopefully soon but i'm excited about some of the new products um and hopefully i'll be able to share them am i still drinking the mushroom coffee kind of like i explained earlier in the life on the days that i do want a hot coffee second i will drink my mushroom coffee but because of my morning routine situation it's not happening every day right now i still love the taste of it though it's like my favorite it's just so fast and easy yeah so they have two lives that they've done they did one yesterday which was talking about the inside of the actual power well let me write there's three one from last week showing the covers which we talked about and during last week's live one for me yesterday showing the inside of the powersheets again they didn't show everything they just showed some pages and then one from today the 22nd where they talked about all the accessories i did not watch that live but i saw the accessories last week when i was able to purchase as an affiliate um and i didn't buy all of them i didn't buy the new washi yo i just i have so much washi that i right there that i don't use so i did not buy the new washi there are two different color schemes of washi um so if you're a washing person it looks beautiful and their washi quality is great i just didn't i didn't buy those um i know i got the bookmark i know i got the stickers always um i know i got one of the they have these like cards that they did with um goal action ideas for different goals they only have three right now which is wellness which is the one i bought faith and then parenting obviously by the faith and the parenting ones um so yeah tina did i go with the green cover so i actually have both the green and the neutral on its way to me still trying to decide what i'm gonna go with i'm leaning towards the green but i'm going to officially decide once i have both colors in my possession jesse are you still trying the full focus planner if so will you do an update later so i haven't started using it yet because i'm going to use it for q4 which starts next friday so i am going to use it starting next week and i will definitely give y'all an update allison going back to personal goals after graduating tips for setting up the fourth quarter goals to finish the year strong so the fourth quarter is tough for a lot of reasons number one it's typically a busier time of year for a lot of people with travel and the holidays and those kinds of commitments it's also a time where we all really do start thinking about next year and therefore kind of try to write off the last quarter of the year but like we talked about at the beginning 100 days or really the fourth quarter is like 90 days is a lot of time to accomplish something so i would i would make sure that you take look at your fourth quarter look at how busy it is how much time do you have to dedicate to your goals and even if you're only picking one thing to focus on don't just give up and say i'm too busy and i'm going to wait for the new year pick at least one thing that you really want to focus on and prioritize that to finish the year strong and also think about how working on that in the fourth quarter will really help set you up for success in the new year because momentum is a real thing and if you take the entire fourth quarter off from any kind of goal progress getting that momentum started on january 1st is going to be more difficult yes there's a lot of magic in january 1st and there's a lot of natural momentum that comes with that new year and like fresh start but it is even more helpful when you've been making progress all the way through the quarter so i hope that was helpful i'm sure you talked about this before but are you planning to do moxie life and powersheets for 2022 amanda no i really especially after this year just think that trying to do both at the same time is very difficult i think that they are both incredible goal-setting tools but they are so different but yet so involved that if you try to do both at the same time i almost feel like you're just distracted in so much prep work that there isn't enough time for action and there's just there's too much going on so i did a video last year that i will link below link up wherever the cards go and i highly recommend it if you're struggling between these two and it is a powersheets versus moxie life video and i don't mean in which one is better because i think they are both fantastic for different people what my video does is it gives you some questions to ask yourself to figure out if which tool is going to be better for you based on your needs and your goals and your planning style and i think that video is still very helpful i haven't seen any major changes in either systems that are that is going to negate anything in that video the only big change you should know is moxie life is planning to come up with a daily so in that video i talk about one of the things to think about is that the moxie life is a planner and a goal setting system in one and so that planner style really needs to work for you for the mossy like life system to be a good choice and i talked how there's only a vertical and horizontal where there's also a daily this year or next year 2022 so otherwise that i i just i really would encourage everyone to pick one i just think that one is going if you go all in on one of them you're going to make progress i feel like trying to do both at the same time can hinder more than help diane this is a great question when you plan daily do you plan the night before or the day of i used to plan the night before i used to think that made me more successful now i am a morning of planner i've had this debate for months if you watch my daily plan with me videos i talk about like oh morning night morning night i'm a morning planner i plan as part of my morning routine naomi i was getting the coral till i saw the teal tile pouches yeah the um the pouch pouch designs can maybe impact your your cover choice couches are beautiful and they're great quality and i have a million of them but i don't use them like with my power sheets so i'm not as concerned about them matching heather happy fall do we know where this year went no idea this year has absolutely flown by being that we're coming into the holidays any christmas gifts you would like or any gift ideas for others i have not the only thing i've thought about and i have not officially put it on my christmas list because it is pricey and i'm just not quite sure is the aura ring o-u-r-a have you seen that it's a ring that like tracks things like almost like an apple watch um but i really want it for sleep tracking i am still struggling with the whole apple watch charging sleep situation i would love to track my sleep but i care more about my apple watch during the day so it's the only thing that might be on my list i have some christmas gift idea videos from a vlogmas two or three years ago um that i can link if you're interested in checking them out but i have not thought about it at all this year at all abby this is a great question also happy birthday i need help maintaining momentum when i get home from work i need a transition that includes rest but doesn't turn into an entire evening of sitting okay so when i used to come home from work from the office i did have what i considered my wind down routine and i i had like a list of things i needed to do and then i was allowed to sit on the couch until a certain time on the on the clock and so if depending on the length of the commute and depending on how quickly i got through all the things then i got to sit on the couch until that time hit and then which was six o'clock that was the time so if my commute only took 20 minutes because the trains cooperated and i got home at 5 20 and then i got through all my like things which was unpacking my backpack and my lunch box lighting a candle putting on comfy clothes giving making sure charlie has food and water like those kinds of things when i get home and then if um i'm sorry i got distracted then i would get to sit on the couch and like literally play my phone and scroll through instagram until six and then at six i got up and i always made a plan to do one thing i had a plan for one thing i wanted to do in the evening after work and that's it no more no less because if i had more then sometimes i'd be like i don't have the energy to do all of that and i would do none of it and then if i do if i didn't plan for anything then the days that i did have energy went completely to waste so i made it made the situation where i planned one thing i would do that one thing and check it off and then the rest of the evening was rest i hope that helps joanna leaving one little word how have you got on with your word of the year this year did you pick a good one so i shared with my patrons last week that i am quitting one little word um i actually realized i haven't talked about that in a vlog i probably should share that i just um actually i'm gonna share it in my goals video my october goals video um so the irony also is that the word i picked during my powersheets prep work i switched it for one little word that word that i switched to which was brave i feel like has shown through in my life immensely this year and like still with things to come and i feel really good about that um even though i'm quitting one little word and even though it wasn't the word that came up in my powersheets i still feel really good about that word of the year i also my other my powersheets word was trust which i still like but brave really felt better and then another word this year that kind of came through and if you watched the video where i made my vision board i talked about this word too and i put all three kind of in the center of my vision board and that was confident and that's the other word that i feel like has really shown through a lot for me this year and i just like i don't know those three together it's been a good year it looks like sam's birthday was great thank you lisa what was his reaction to your gift such a cool idea yeah if you missed it on instagram the gift i got sam for his birthday was voice lessons which the frustrating part you'll see him is so good at this he guessed it like a month ago like a month ago he guessed what it was and i tried to like play it off cool but i'm a terrible liar so it didn't really go well um so he was like excited but also like not totally surprised so um but i'm excited i don't know if he's made if he scheduled his first one yet but i'm excited for him yeah i love sticker kits but sometimes it is too much work so i switched to minimal planning now i miss the stickers and find i don't use it as much but still need it to be useful how do you find the balance this is a great question and one that i'm also personally struggling struggling with a spoiler alert friday's vlog i have like a sticker existential crisis and i basically like get rid of a bunch of stickers not like throw them out i'm gonna give them away but i just like can't deal with the stickers anymore and i just like need to get more minimalistic about it so i feel you on that um i try to think about what what is the benefit that the stickers bring me because at one point in my planning life using stickers helped encourage me to use the planner and then using the planner helped me stay on top of things and accomplish my goals now that's not true anymore i'm going to use my planner whether i pull out the stickers or not so what is the benefit of the stickers is it for creativity well if i don't want to use the stickers because they're getting in my way of planning then can i get that creative outlet somewhere else is it because i just own them and i feel like i need to use them that's not really a good reason for me to keep using the stickers is it because they make me happy and looking at my planner it looks prettier and it makes me happy that's the one that i'm kind of leaning into right now that i will talk more about in the vlog on friday but just remember the core reason that you're using your planner is way more important likely than the stickers like you're likely using your planner to plan out your life and if the stickers are getting in the way of that prioritize that but if you're using the stickers if you have another way to plan your life and the planning and the stickers is for the fun creative then then keep doing it that way does that make sense i just feel like i've said a lot of things there um this is a fantastic question any tips for beating perfection perfectionism when setting up new powersheets i find myself trying too hard to be neat and not always digging deep enough i want to ask you how many times this year or any year that you've used powersheets do you go back and really look at your prep work my guess is if you're like me it's very rarely you go back and look at your prep work i hardly ever go back and look at the prep work pages so why am i focused on making them look so perfect and neat nobody is going to see them because most of the time what i put on there is so personal i'm not going to share it with the world and the only person who's going to see it is me and then even then i'm only going to see it until i get those first set of goals set and then i'm probably never going to go back and look at it again so what's more important is getting it done rather than having it be neat the other tip here is use a pen that you love my like my handwriting changes when i use my paper mate flares that i just love it so much more so use a pen that you love and and remind yourself as you're going through it why you're using your power sheets alexa i oh i'm so sorry if you actually have one of those and it just went off i know you've mentioned that you don't typically keep your phone in the bedroom but the sleep cycle app can track your sleep if you leave it on your nightstand so i thought you had to have it in the bed and i thought that that didn't really work if you had another human in the bed because it would sometimes track their movement instead of yours um maybe that's not true but i think for me as much as i do want to track my sleep not having my phone in the bedroom is more important than that because having my phone in the bedroom just turns me into a snoozefest i'm very bad about that and when you do your routines with routinery do you click do you click to check mark each one as you go use it as a timer or do you just click to check them off all at the same time at the end so it depends on the routine and it depends on the actual step so some of them it is just like i'm checking it off at the end as i go some of them i i check them off as i go but i don't care about the timer if it takes me more time or less time it doesn't bother me like it's it's just about having it in there some of them the timer is there so for example going through photos which happens to me when my 100 day challenge that set my routinery app as a five minute activity and so i will go through photos until that timer goes off sometimes that's 100 depending on the it depends on the type of photos y'all i'm very guilty of when i take photos for instagram especially like planners i take like 50 of the same photo and then i pick the one i post it and i never go back and delete the other ones so half the time when i'm going through my photos like to clean them up on my get sorted app i'm like deleting the same photo 50 times if that's a lot of what i'm going through in the morning i can get through like 300 um before my timer goes off but so on those tasks i do when the timer tells me it's time to move on i move on again some so it really depends on the task and the routine i don't use all of them in the same way amanda man always asks me this question what are you reading fiction nonfiction okay so for fiction guys why do i always mess this up i'm reading the same thing i'm still reading the red tent because i've not been reading it i like actually probably since you last asked me last week i probably haven't moved forward and all i've been watching bones at night and going to bed instead of reading non-fiction i am reading quit like a woman um which is a lot of really eye-opening things that i like maybe didn't want to know but are very important i love hearing that other people have also given up stickers this is so interesting and grace said she did that during her co-working session kate dropped a lot of stickers it's so interesting randy you did not miss anything i have not talked about why i'm leaving one little word um it i just told my patrons during a patreon q a and i haven't talked about it in a video yet until now honestly i don't have a good reason other than it felt more like a chore than excitement and even though it's like not that many hours of a commitment there are so many other things on my plate right now that i would rather spend those three hours a month doing than one little word so that's all this is a good tip jess for me i find the stickers help me to feel excited to open my planner and use it it would be less likely if i used zero stickers everybody's different you got to think about why you want to um to use the stickers and what the value that they're bringing oh this is a good tip corey i have a watch charger next to my desk i plug it in when i start work at seven and then have an alarm to remind me to put it back on so that's i don't like it look i don't need my watch on right now because it was dying because i've slept with it it's the whole thing so that is the problem if i wait like if i sleep with my watch so i can track it and then at some point during the day it dies so i take it off and put it on the thing and then i forget it right and then i miss like three sand hours because my watch was sitting there charging but i like the idea of putting on an alarm to remind me to put it back on that's a good tip i might try that thoughts on the night circus heather i i don't want to spoil it for anybody i enjoyed it i gave it a 4 out of 5. there was an aspect um the like again i don't want to spoil it but there was a relationship i wish they would have started earlier i felt like it was too rushed that piece of the story um but otherwise i very much enjoyed it and would recommend it who i'm reading quit like a woman too since you mentioned it previously it changes your whole thought process and you've eliminated alcohol from your life for two months props to you on that it is um it's a very interesting read and it's been uh very eye opening in a good way for the most part all right i have a couple questions that were submitted in advance during our question box on monday that i definitely want to get to this first bunch is actually three different people submitted these three different questions but they all fall into the same category so somebody asks how do you balance your work and personal life especially with multiple jobs how do you protect time for impromptu socializing how do you set time to rest and relax and this is definitely something that i've learned a lot this year how to manage this so a couple of things is i don't have a lot of impromptu socializing if i'm being totally honest i schedule my socializing out in advance and and then i have white space in my calendar if i get an impromptu social invite i i look at my my schedule and depending on the amount of white space that i have i may or may not say yes this happened exactly this week i have things scheduled already for the week and for the weekend and one of sam's friends asked if we wanted to get dinner her parents are in town and they know sam and if we wanted to get dinner on friday and i was like look i no i don't have time the truth is i do have time like my schedule is empty but i know that if i take that white space that i have on friday evening i'm gonna be and then i have booked things on saturday and sunday i'm gonna be exhausted come monday and we actually have social plans for monday night and so i just knew that i needed to say no in that scenario and it's hard saying no can be difficult now thankfully like i can say it to sam and then sam can relay it um but it is it's just something that i have to protect my white space and that is my time to rest and relax we might get to friday evening and i might feel very energized and not need to rest and be like oh i should have said yes but then i don't know how that would have carried out into the weekend so the way that i do it is i just make sure that i have all my priorities scheduled out that includes social things those are priorities to me i have them scheduled in my calendar and then i have enough white space for me every week to rest and relax and i just protect that very very fiercely and and it's i just plan that i just plan out further in advance i think i mentioned this i don't want to live or somewhere i literally made we made dinner plans with a couple for october 15th because that was the first day that i was like this is the day i feel comfortable having these plans based on everything now we're i'm out of town the two weekends prior so that's part of that but like i just am very um protective of my time another question i got that i wanted to bring to the live that way if any of you have tips for this question asker you can help and that is goal-setting recommendations for college students stick to short-term or go long-term too so it has been almost 10 years since i've been in college um i definitely would not worry so much about long-term goals in college personally i think that college you should focus on enjoying your time there and preparing like grades and internships to prepare you to to do whatever it is that you want to do when you graduate college um i actually graduated early and it's like one of my biggest regrets i wish i would have studied abroad and taken like classes that didn't matter and then not graduated early like that is one of i i don't like say i have regrets because everything in life happens for a reason but that is a regret that i have so well i want you to set goals because goals are so important and make up you know there's such a big part of living a life that you're excited to live in college get good grades enjoy enjoy college that would that would be my advice um and sticking to short-term goals for sure but if there are any college students who have any thoughts or advice in the chat or in the in the comments on the replay i would love to hear it diane what are you going to do this weekend anything fun so saturday's a pretty swamp day of calls so i have the accelerate your goals course and then the patreon goal-setting quarterly goal-setting session in the afternoon and then football and then sunday sam and i have plans he got some gift cards for his birthday so we're gonna go shopping for him and then we have marriage counseling on sunday and then because we're gonna be out of town the next two weekends i knew i would need some extra white space this weekend and because again we have plans monday night to watch football with some friends uh i don't know if i'm gonna enjoy that i agree to this football watching adventure because it is my team against their team i'm a cowboys fan and my cowboys play eagles on monday and a friend of mine you all know her her name is justina i talk about her all the time she is my favorite fitness instructor nutrition coach she's an eagles fan and we're going to watch the game with her and her husband and i'm like super pumped but also like i hope we are friends at the end of the game oh here's a good tip uh from corey for college short term seems best the career i'm in now isn't what i thought going into my senior year focus on personal development and learning about yourself and the rest will come um okay amanda what's my next trip so the weekend after that october 1st is i'm going to new orleans for one of my bridesmaids and then i'm also a bridesmaid at her wedding her bachelorette party is in new orleans the weekend of october 1st and i'm super super excited i'm super pumped we have so many fun things planned outside of sam's birthday what was the highlight of your week i mean that was the highlight of my week for sure so outside of sam's birthday oh i don't know lisa can i say it was like seeing my friends at sam's birthday picnic that i hadn't seen in a long time um there were a couple friends of mine that i just hadn't seen one of them in a year and a half and it was just really nice to catch up cowboys will eat beat the eagles no worries how many days on the wedding count down 171 i just pulled up my phone so i could tell you exactly i haven't updated my um corkboard i rearranged my desk actually it's back there um i've been updated in a while but 171 days what it's crazy um mia if you're thinking long term back to the college question i would focus on habits that will help last past college because in college you may have more time to establish good habits like water or working out that is a great great piece of advice allison do you have any personal policies for example i don't socialize on friday nights so i don't have any um that are set like that rigidly i do i have the i have it where i'm not gonna do more than two weekend days so friday saturday and sunday i need at least one of those to not have a social event on them so that i have time it does seem to be fridays most often but there's times where we have things friday saturday and then i have nothing on sunday um i also i don't have i don't really have any other set rigid things like that i really just have learned to look at my calendar at a whole and see the space in it and i can tell if there is like there we're at the right amount of space and i can't take any thing else i do also have a i don't know personal policy is the right word but i i told sam this a long time ago that i need at least a week out um to schedule things because like i plan my week on sundays and like once it's planned it's gonna be hard and that i see this question how do you plan to handle spontaneous things with sam like he really wants to go somewhere do something in the weekend but not plan for i mean we take each situation as it comes he's also a planner he's not super spontaneous either so he also is pretty cool with that being a plant like it's a week that's why i told him it's a week i need a week um to plan it out so um there are still times especially when he was working in the broadway and i mean he still works in the industry to some extent but when he was really working in the broadway industry this was a lot more common that we would get tickets last minute and that i will be spontaneous for like again there's like there are scenarios that like it will be um it will be worth it but i've got to know what i'm giving up for it because there's going to be a there's going to be trade off for sure amanda my razorbacks will be a m for you this weekend too thank you i'm actually we need arkansas to win all their other games so it doesn't look as bad when we lost to them so something is being delivered it's not my powersheets y'all they're being delivered to the uh p.o box so i don't know what that is it's not my power sheets um hopefully sam gets it because i'm not getting up okay i had another question submitted how do you decide whether or not to participate in e-courses how do you manage them so they're worthwhile so in terms of managing them when possible i do try to sign up for live courses for me personally that works better i also have learned not to sign up for more than one course at a time so you can't sign up for the next one until you finish the next one trying to make that my policy and then whether or not i decide to purchase in it is usually two things one is the person that's that's teaching the e-course are the things that they're doing is that something i want to do like is how they're living their life is that how i want my life to look as well um there are there's a lot of different people teaching a lot of different things and even if they are somebody who is like super knowledgeable and whatever it is they're teaching i really just also need to want to have some some aspect of how they're living their life i want to feel like i want that as well um the other decision-making process that goes into whether i purchase an e-course is what is the end result that they're talking about what is my state gonna be in at the end of it um like what's the before and after how i'm feeling now is usually the before um and then what's the feeling after guys it's still buzzing and i hope hope that sam gets it he might be on a call it's awkward it's awkwardly awkwardly buzzing um okay what else what else do you want to talk about what else is on your mind not drinking my water as fast as i need to be i think that was all the questions go check it we can wait well jessica might be too late now if i buzz it no it's okay if it is something that's trying to be i'm not expecting anything i've been sending everything to the p.o box i'm not expecting anything and if it's something they'll just deliver tomorrow that's fine um it's don't feel bad don't feel bad it's not a big deal alyssa great question for those of us who travel a lot for work and the schedule is unpredictable how do you manage routines so what i would say is set set the pieces of the routine that don't that are like non-negotiable that you can do other places right so there might be pieces of your routine that you can do when you're traveling and they're so important that you will do maybe something like taking your vitamins or something like reading in the morning or getting in a workout whatever that looks like for you those are just some ideas but have the pieces of your routine that are non-negotiable that you can do while you are traveling and likely that's going to be a little bit smaller and have that and then have the the extra piece that you layer on if you happen to be at home be the extra on top of that and letting giving yourself the permission to not worry about that piece of it when you're traveling and it's going to be applicable to the evening and you know morning and evening routines because there's many pieces of your evening routine like tidying up that you don't have to worry about while you're there but might be something you want to do while you're home but then layer it with the things that you will for sure do while you're traveling diane have you purchased your wedding dress yet i have i actually went dress shopping conveniently february of 2020 so that long weekend in february my mom my sister and my stepmom and i went dress shopping and i purchased it and then it actually i ordered like tried on purchase it it got delivered in the summer when i happened to be in san antonio for two weeks in the summer um and so i went and tried it on last summer i haven't seen it since in a year but uh it fit it fit last summer so i um it's still hanging out hanging out at the dress store they're keeping it keeping it safe for me heather i love this question have you dived into the dinner fix cookbook yet yet i have i cooked my first meal from it yesterday um and so i will do the second piece of it probably tomorrow i was thinking i might do it tonight but i'm probably not gonna do it tonight i'm probably gonna do it tomorrow so i will share about that in the vlog rebecca did i miss it what did sam get for his birthday he got voice lessons for his birthday tiffany will we get to find out the product you were collaborating on so i don't know there's there's kind of two things floating about there is a product that i gave my feedback on i talked about that in a vlog that one it's gonna be a little bit of time before that comes to fruition like i was giving my feedback during development so to and that one is not like um i'm not collaborating i was just as a a person who supports that company regularly they were just asking for my feedback the product that i actually collaborated on the design of you will find out tomorrow so keep an eye out on instagram tomorrow um the company is sharing about it tomorrow which i did not know that was the date until like over the weekend and so i'm so excited i'm so excited mia this is a great question how do you stay patient with your goals like i just want to do all the things now but realistically can't i love that you realize that like realistically you can't do all the things now because that's just there's just not enough hours in the day and if you start them all now the likelihood that you're gonna continue all of them long term is gonna be not as as possible it's going to be more difficult so starting small and layering on is how you're going to be successful really it's about tracking your progress so seeing that you are making progress even if you don't see the results that is we get impatient when we don't see the results because a lot of times we don't see them we can't the you are working and working working and you you don't actually see the results come to fruition and so when we track our progress in some way whether that's powersheets whether that's another piece of paper that you track on whether it's an app on your phone some sort of tracking is going to help you realize that you're still making progress and then the analogy i love to use here just to think about is if you're planting a seed and you plant a seed and you put it inside that dirt you cover it up with dirt and then you give it water and you give it sunlight and you're taking care of it but you can't see anything happening because it's all happening underneath that dirt right that seed is growing but it hasn't broken through that dirt and you can't really see the progress you don't see the results you don't see any of that but you know you're doing the right things you're giving it the water you're giving it the sunlight keep doing the right things and know that the seed is growing and the results will come in general how do you feel about skillshare and have you joined a class i've never used skillshare so i don't i don't really have any opinions on it i think you went to portland any advice for the airport i'm flying in for work and i've never been there um we flew through seattle when we went to oregon i have not flown into portland so i um i don't have any advice for you heather i bought it and tried one recipe set i think i'm going to like it better than the cook once cookbook you made a spreadsheet to track all the recipes you've tried that's amazing i am i made a spreadsheet for the other cookbook and i will eventually make one for this but i do love it kate great question any ideas on how to cook for one person without eating leftovers for the multiple meal same times so couple of ideas one don't worry about cooking a whole meal when you're cooking cook components of the meals and then you can mix them up so cook a bunch of chicken and then you can use it different ways cook a bunch of vegetables and you can use them different ways also get comfortable with freezing and then unfreezing meals that way if you do cook something and say it's four servings but you don't want to eat four servings of it split it in half put half in the freezer eat one serving now one for leftovers and then the other in a couple of weeks when you have gotten bored of it tiffany any ideas for breaking down a goal if you don't know all of the steps yet so if you don't know all the steps you just break it down to the best of your abilities and get started and the steps will come it is so difficult for us sometimes to just take action when we don't know the perfect plan most of the time we don't there's no perfect plan like you're never gonna have all the steps when it's time to get started there's a martin luther king quote about taking the first step without seeing the whole staircase sometimes you just gotta take that first step have the best first three steps that you know break down those first three steps and then get get started take action and then the rest of that will come i also have found that google is my best friend when it comes to breaking down goals that i don't know how to break down which powersheets cover is your favorite um i i mean they're all beautiful i have mentioned i have the neutral and the green on its way to me and i will pick one once i see them in prison diane do you mean will i not be purchasing a moxie life for 2022 is that a question um because i talked earlier in this live about how i don't plan to use the moxie life goal setting system with my powersheets um i do want to try out the daily pages of the moxie life though so i will at least be getting that one because i want to try the daily pages because i can't seem to find a daily that works for me none of them are perfect we talked about this last week what else what other questions do you have let's see if i can get some more water in before the next one comes in heather where was the moxie life daily announced they seem to have missed it so as far as i know she has only shared it in the club moxie facebook group so that's the like the private horse club that they've been talking about or they've been doing for the last few months there is a about all the things that they're watching this year have you seen the city girl daily planner are you the one who messaged me about it somebody messaged me about this product i have not purchased it yet because i just like i'm about to use the full focus planner and i feel like i can't also try another daily planner but i followed them on instagram and i'm very intrigued about trying out this planner very intrigued cheney how have your workouts been going well i'm gonna be honest with you the last two days it has been not good because it's been that time of month and i just have not been in the mood to work out um but otherwise they've been going really well i talked about it my favorites video that that facebook group that power uh said powersheets that peloton facebook group has changed my workout game for sure have you always been going amanda i've used my plum paper daily for the whole year so far that's amazing you deserve like an award for that i have loved it and haven't gotten bored also amazing but now i'm wondering if i want to try something else for 2022. there are so many out there so if it is not broke don't fix it like if that is working for you and you're not bored i would not change it up i would keep going with what works for you the reason i couldn't deal with that one is because i eventually wanted hours and so i needed an hourly breakdown and that's why i gave up on my plum paper i also don't love that paper y'all i mean i can put up with it but it's not my favorite paper um so unless there's something that's not working for you i would not enter away i would use what works nicole how are you liking the no bs pro program my minute too started in august congrats it's so exciting if you don't know what she's talking about it is a weight loss program i will link it down below if you're interested in checking it out it is a paid program um i'm loving it so far i feel like even regardless of weight loss i've learned so much mentally from that program that has changed my life for sure cheney i love this the peloton has probably been the best investment i could have made i don't think i've ever worked out this consistently ever that's my powersheets will also be one of those things that show up soon i'm so sad y'all i just want them so many people have already gotten there so many affiliates already on theirs and i'm just sad that's all oh monica i think you've convinced me to try powersheets next year i i also want to clarify though like i am not here to say that powersheets are the only answer they are what worked for me that is what works for me it has for years they've changed my life and allowed me to accomplish goals that i never would have accomplished otherwise there are other goal-setting systems and other ways of going about your goals that can also be successful for you so if you've tried them and you feel like they don't work don't feel like you're a failure at goals or you're never going to be able to accomplish your goals because that's not true i talk about powersheets a lot because that's what works for me there are also lots of other amazing goal-setting tools and systems that can absolutely work for you as well joanna have you ever tried any of the appointed planners i have never even heard of it heard of that company is it a uk-based company i'll have to take a look after i heard of that so many so many good questions so many things to think about as we go into this new year but again 100 days finishing strong for 100 days monica i like both the moxie life system and the simplicity of powersheets throughout the year so i may end up getting the companion notebooks it's kind of a weekly this is what i did on my goals type of thing i think i mean i think that's totally possible i think it just can be i don't i don't want you to feel too overwhelmed by doing both systems um i just think it can be super difficult um but i think if you i don't know there are ways to do i know there are people who do it i just have never figured out how to make it work for me let's put it that way no it's american shipping to the uk so expensive oh maybe i need to take a look heather any sneak peeks on what you're doing for memory keeping this year um not enough i don't have a sneak peek for you because i don't have an answer yet i don't think it will be in a planner like the type i did this year i don't i don't know what it will be or if it will be anything or if i'll take a year off remember keeping and just like take a break i don't know honestly i've not figured that out yet um i have thoughts i have ideas i have i mean i just i don't i i don't know i don't know the answer um and i might i might just wait until i do my powersheets prep work to think about how i'm going to incorporate that in incorporate memory keeping into my life next year joanna did you look more at the hb 90 system that cindy is using i did coming soon coming soon i'm looking at it and i'm looking at it may i ask what was your why for memory keeping this year yeah absolutely so part of it was because i wanted to document my life and i wanted to to document things that were going on that were more of the everyday and not just um the fun trips and and ticketed items and parties and those kinds of things i also missed weekly stickering i missed weekly stick doing sticker kits in a planner and i i wanted memory keeping to fill that void that i was losing because i was no longer using a weekly planner and it turns out that doesn't really work for me so yeah okay all right it is 5 fifty-five i don't know why it's five fifty-five um and we are almost at the end of our time together so i am gonna ask you my question which is what is the one thing that you will do this week to make progress on your goals what is the one thing that you can accomplish and check off your planner to make progress on your goals it might be that you're preparing for q4 and for october because this time next week it'll be september 29th so maybe it's getting prepared for the quarter and for the new month maybe it is picking your 100 day item and getting started on that um maybe it's an action item that you've been putting off for months and you're finally gonna check it off walk every day i love it that's your 100-day thing yes you started doing a five-year journal this year perfect for super low pressure memory keeping i love it i have a five-year gratitude journal but not like anything else um setting your 100 a goal finishing your two grad school classes q4 2022 prep track expenses for this week not hitting the snooze button i love that drinking water meal prep and not eating out convince your partner to help you a bed into the spare bedroom sending you good vibes for that joanna sending you good vibes walk or bike every day so many great steps y'all it doesn't take a lot of up steps it doesn't take a big giant leap these small steps add up it may feel like whatever you're picking for the 100 day challenge might feel small like for me 100 photos a day is small but if i do a hundred photos a day for a hundred days that's ten thousand photos i had to do that math i was like wait is that right ten thousand photos that i would get through that's amazing so is that yeah it's ten thousand not about ten thousand photos i swear i have a math degree that's amazing so even if it feels small for you i want you to know that it will add up especially over the course of a hundred days so that is it for this week if you wouldn't mind giving this video a
