nowadays special in this modern time we have lost self-esteem so there's a lot of self criticism and sometimes this become could be very strong and it may cause lose energy and become problematic for your life but in the ancient practice especially in the tibetan buddhism the first part is what we call appreciation the appreciation about yourself about the world about your life so this is really important why what we call we all have basic innate goodness our true nature is wonderful so and how we can discover that our true nature one of the practice is through appreciation so when we begin to appreciate then we will have lot of great discovery from within ourselves there is a unlimited teachers within yourself so one of the simple practices what we call five self-richness so to appreciate five things about yourself so that this practice really benefit for me and this is one of the my first practice also and today i would like to i would like to share this with all of you so five appreciations very simple in a way is uh looks like not nothing special but actually these are the biggest special so the first one is what we call minion being as human great thing isn't it we need to appreciate that so first appreciate about human life second is what we call born in the center place meaning born with freedom and special with the spiritual uh choice so we have a lot of spirituality that we if you really want to engage in that so i appreciate about that one and [Music] and number three having the senses is amazing isn't it so eyes ear nose tongue body all these are actually amazing number three is that the once we have born in the the spiritual environment everybody has freedom right you can choose your own path and this freedom is wonderful actually appreciate about the freedom and the last is the having the basic inner goodness so actually deeper level you all have love and compassion and wisdom and awareness so awareness love and compassion wisdom is our fundamental nature so far all these five things so now we're going to do a little bit um meditation together so please keep your spine loosely straight and if you want you can close your eyes and please relax muscles in your body and relax the your head shoulder bag arms and legs and now please appreciate that having this body amazing that we have this body and appreciate that i'm alive now and i'm breathing how wonderful and i'm born in the spiritual freedom i can choose i can choose to practice meditation this wonderful spiritual path is wonderful and i am having senses now whatever sense you have appreciate that i have this wonderful eyes ear ear that i can hear you can hear the teaching and knows that i can smell things taste i can taste wonderful delicious different food and bodily sensations and appreciate that i have the following [Music] path in the world there's a great works that lay out by great beings and i can follow that i can go on the right path if i choose to again this is the freedom of the path appreciate that and i have wonderful basic inner goodness the awareness is my true nature and love and compassion is my innate quality and i have wisdom i appreciate my basic innate goodness and now please open your eyes and you can see the world wonderful so we need to learn how to appreciate like that sometime what we call if we have ten qualities nine positive one negative normally we ignore nine positive things within us and we exaggerate one negative we see only one negative and we exaggerate but if we practice like this appreciation and the gratitude like that way you will discover the great qualities within ourselves
