Alex and Logan try SINGAPORE CUISINE! 🇸🇬🍲 | Williams Racing

[Music] hello everyone we are Logan and Alex we are going to do a bit of a Singapore taste test I've obviously had a fair share of Asian food um Logan you you eat you eat a lot you you're you're quite open to food yeah basically we are going to try some local food I mean I've had most of it I haven't had all of it but uh I'm interested to see how you react to it I I know what to expect I know what to expect you know done it before yeah yeah right logs I have got a sconi boom beef noodle soup Bo I got a Singapore Alexa boom what's in that um it's like a noodle soupy oh so we got two soups kji is like a rice soup and then laxer is more like a your traditional soup okay good and then we got the chicken rice boo chicken have you had chicken rice before I don't think so okay this is insane what's in the chicken rice though it's poach chicken so it's like super soft poach chicken so it's actually quite healthy the chicken the problem is is then they use the chicken fat and the chicken like when you poach it you know you got like white stuff but they use that to cook the rice and it makes the rice insane and but unhealthy uh I don't think it's that bad I don't think it's that unhealthy um and then you got like this the dipping sauce for the chicken and um in Thailand they do it with like make it really spicy which is like this is going to offend people but it's even better than the Singapore chicken rice but um this is good like it is really good it's not spicy I was in Thailand last week with and Sky came for like half a day and uh we ate maggots and like uh silk worms I didn't even know that I didn't even know that was a thing yeah you can like eat dried like a scorpion yeah I've seen that it's good protein have you tried it it's actually supposed to be really good for you like like uh you ever heard about um like bug food is supposed to be the new thing like with the population rising and it's low impact CO2 so we're going to start eating bugs what did you think pretty good honestly if you closed your eyes it would taste like french fries seriously like it's got the same crunch maybe a bit crispier than a french fry man but if you just know what you're EA seasoning the seasoning is is good I hope not is that Tri Tri correct okay what's that it's like intestine it's intestine right yeah yeah yeah that looks good no h you like right I'll take one dish and you take one dish and then we'll we'll change turn on how is it the beef's okay pretty good now tastes like normal beef this is like very fishy I don't think I'm feeling very fishy this isn't bad I don't know if I'm going to try the intestines but your shirt it's just a texture it's not a taste what would you rate that I can smell the fish on I know I I might be hungry but this is like for me for me this is an eight and a half yeah that's high that's high yeah we've gone big for that one try that oh I actually think you might like it it's less fishy I can just smell how much fish there is fish sauce yeah so what's in this is that chicken this is um this is like tofu just smells like the bottom of the ocean who tight have a bit of the noodles yeah this is pretty clean tasting like it's it's quite simple this one it's not as bad as I thought it's not bad good to be honest it smells strong but the taste is good right The Taste is good it's quite it has like a little kick to it yeah yeah yeah I mean if I'm going to order one for myself I would order that you would order this over there yeah okay see this that's where we differ that I would go like a s 7 and 1/2 and I would give this pretty much the same but I just in the current mood I'm not in the mood for seafood so I wrate this a a a six a a low six okay well I'm I'm no total expert but this is some hese chicken rice it's uh this is the poach chicken this is the the rice cooked in the chicken fat and then I honestly have no idea what this is I might get uh my girlfriend to tell us what this is but I think it's just like a soup do you mind getting Le can you tell us what we do here chicken rice what's is this a soup or is this part of it soup but you don't eat so you eat it separately and um but this you dip it that I think you put it on top of the chicken I might I might be wrong you don't know be offending a lot of people if I get yeah you do you're excited for this one yeah knife and for we got the full tourist just easier just easier that was good that was just like it's healthier it's almost like a teriyaki sauce it tastes like to me I think I think it sesame oil and soy sauce so yeah you're right it is basically there it's quite simple it's pretty simple it's just good chicken rice with a good sauce yeah yeah this to me tastes like a pretty standard chicken teriyaki right bit of vegetable good chicken good rice good sauce yep it's what I'm used to what would you rate this out of 10 eight 7 and 1/2 7 and 1/2 that makes everything's at 7 and a half right now have you real the others were seven seven I think I need to tone the beef one down to six the other one down to six and then make this a seven 7 and a half wow okay I think I've gone too high on the others cuz when I compare it to like you know a nice hamburger you know I think I've had B chicken rice then here I actually think it's not that great here no we need to go to I think we need to go to a proper street food I used to have it really good but the dish normally for me is like straight out 10 but this is I'd have it over them two still so it's an eight yeah but it should be a 10 okay we've got kanji um kind of a this is like comfort food I believe again I'm not an expert but it's um can have it for breakfast mostly for breakfast I believe and it's when you're feeling sick you know how like in Europe or America you kind of have porridge or you have soups yeah more soups this is the like very filling kind of warm food so try yeah it's not bad yeah it's good it look it's better than it looks definitely better than it looks is this your is this your favorite are you are you ack Still Still Still the best so you can have this with anything like prawns chicken beef like grits maybe it's the same what is grits I'll give it a seven seven I feel like it needs something else yeah so not we should have ordered this with some protein like it just feels like it's just a bit it's missing something right well that could have just been the extra ingredient grits are a type of porridge made from boiled cornmeal cornmeal you have to explain to me the colors do you know which is in each one no no so we is it we will do it ourself we will find out it will be a journey of Discovery but is there like a standard protocol of like colors I think this one's always this is always shrimp and chicken is it not or am I am I crazy I don't know do we need to call the expert I think all of these are predominantly Corn based shrimp based corn LS it's just your average dimsum I mean I think dimsum must be one of the most globally yeah popular foods so you've had your F yeah I just just pretty full like you said just your average and by the way we got a ton of we I'm sure you guys see how much excess food there is we got a big camera coup who who is going to eat all of this afterwards so don't worry this is weird I don't really know what I had these last year is there um beef or in them yeah is it pork yeah it's pork I had these last year this it's so fluffy this stuff I feel like this is Logan's going to like this yeah I do like you're back to America yeah this is Team USA Team USA babbe see I don't really like this one you don't it's just so squidy I don't think this one in particular is great the ones had last year were much better what is this no God it sticks your teeth so bad it's not that good is it the fluffy one that I had last year of that yeah whatever it is I ordered them in from like some place right and they were phenomenal really yeah much better than that I'd say this for me is a six I'll give the first one a seven yeah I'd say that was like a five in terms of order then chicken rice yeah P1 purple sectors one two and three uh SE conji probably conji yeah yeah I I say it's the same third for me was the the laxa for me those two are like there it just depends the mood right right right right and then dim dim Su dim some come and pee last I think that was a successful um Singapore experience I hope you guys enjoyed that um we're now going to go and eat some burgers after this joking but we I am very full actually I'm still going to finish the chicken rice but uh other
