hello so today I have a short video demonstrating how to set up the game um with a 3070 um to start off with you can see I have the game with a medium preset so I'm going to show you what most people have uh set and I've got race racing off um it's a very demanding game from my findings you can see a few other videos on my channel where I dwell deeper on optimized settings and how it runs in different systems but you can see here with a 3070 which is an 8 gig card we basically almost maxing out that VR at 7.6 gigs and we kind of hit in 60s um occasionally but you can see for the most part we are hovering in the high 40s to to low 50s so the game doesn't look that great you can see in the water especially there's a lot of visuals of yeah well noise and Shimmer which doesn't look very great and we're not hearing 60s so the the first thing you want to do is 100% set the dlss 2 quality it works very well with the 30 series especially the 3070 and we're going to leave it at the medium preset I will turn off uh film grain I'm not personally a fan of it but you can leave it if you like uh we're going to leave the rent off for the most part um and you can see that with just a use of dlss which I'm sure you know many of you are already using we had jumping from like high 50s to low 90s um this is obviously a sort of good of little Benchmark here um and you can see our average is around 90 however this is not the most demanding area um you can see drops 7s as soon as we look towards the town and in sort of more demanding areas like the forest at the beginning of the game you will drop um just under 60 uh which we can still optimize for um you not guaranteed to have a above 60 at all times but there is definitely things you can do to to help it I'm just want to demonstrate that um without the use of Rage racing we're not going to have perfect Reflections and there's still Shimmer and other things so the next thing we're going to do um in order to improve some of the settings and the visual side of it of the game uh is we're going to turn on the transparencies which I made a video on previously in my channel um which improves um a form of R Racing it's not full R Racing so you're not going to expect um Reflections and other things to look perfect but it does improve some of the shimmering like you can see in the water right here um the image is a little but a little bit clearer and it doesn't cost an awful lot in performance so we have dropped um by about uh 5 to 10% um usually it's about 10 to 10 to 15 FPS uh but you can see me walking around um when I look sort of towards the town and and uh the trees over there um as much as the FPS is lower it is not to the point where transparencies are not worth turning on so I'm just going to walk around here a little bit um we can watch the FPS be mostly stable you can see the average is in the 80s but um it does drop especially mon demanding areas um the reflections are not rate traced so transparencies do not affect the the reflections so don't expect it to to be a miracle setting that you know doesn't sh performance but uses R Racing but it does improve the Shadows you can see my character as I'm walking around you can see some of the uh posts and other Shadows on the ground uh it does clear up a little bit but like I said it's it's a not super demanding setting that definitely improves some of the visuals so the next thing we're going to do uh we're going to go back into the graphic settings and we're going to use my recommended optimize settings from previous video I've done we're going to turn U fog quality during quality and far object LOD quality to medium we're going to all turn all those three to medium we're going to keep transparencies on low and that will give us a boost of around 5 to to 7% um FPS on average um I'm going to put all the averages on the screen so you can can see that when I'm changing settings what the average is uh the main reason I made this video was to just actually show in practice how 3070 actually runs rather than just sort of theoretically talk about it whilst I use a 490 so you can see it's a very very clean image um and as much as it's a super demanding game you can definitely still enjoy on a 3070 and even below if you willing to compromise on the dlss quality I'm going to show you a little bit of a benchmark here where this is pre um optimized settings and you can see that we run in uh in mid 40s mid to low 40s uh this is with a medium preset with Native quality with transparencies which I think are quite important to the visuals I said to low uh of course you can turn them off but uh you will compromise a lot on quality and like I mentioned before DSS is definitely the first thing you should try and turn on and sort of um play around with that a little bit I'm going to show you with the actual optimized settings uh in this show right here we're going to turn the DSs to Quality uh we're going to set said the preset to medium we're going to leave it at that I personally don't like film grain so I turned it off and we're going to go full quality terrain and F object to detail to medium and then we're going to leave transparencies and low um and you can see straight off the bat that when we set those settings to my optimize recommend in settings we go from mid 40s to low 40s to 70s high 60s and like I said it can drop in some areas so you're not going to get a super Rock Solid 60 FPS but it's a huge huge Improvement um and if you have a 4k monitor uh you can basically use the same settings but um since the resolution is much higher you will have to set the SS to Performance instead of quality and also if you want to use a 1080p monitor then um you can uh just play in a native quality resolution with the 3070 um but that's it for this video it's it's a short video just showing in practice how 3070 runs I hope it was informational for you guys and I hope to see you in the next one bye
