Las Vegas is known as a mecca for world-class entertainers and a playground for the rich and famous but many of the best known celebrities are residents not visitors and one of the most famous of them all is in a singer or actor found star star Rick Harrison owns a pawnshop on Las Vegas Boulevard and for some reason when you are on top you tend to get a lot of hate that is why today we will be going through 10 reasons fans can't stand Rick Harrison before we begin a word from high played hapless tour offers the finest quality clothes in accessories with one-of-a-kind designs and to make things even better every single item is in a 50% discount with worldwide free shipping included hapless store.com there's a bit of everything for everyone [Music] number one interview gets heated George Knapp goes one-on-one with Rick while Rick Harrison may seem genuine on the show there are some things he has to do in order to run a pawn shop and maintain a steady profit that many people don't like but can't really do much as it's how business runs Rick always finds a way to send the customer home somewhat satisfied with whatever they sold him to in his shop in an interview with Rick Harrison and George Knapp as the host the two seemed to go one on one with their conversation almost seems to be accusing Ric of scamming his customers if he asked me not the best of ways to get around an interview but it sure was definitely entertaining number two Fame for a price today it can be really scary to be famous because if you have all sorts of people who would want to take advantage of you the old man recently hosted a Valentine's Day party for the infamous of a ghost biker gang at his Vegas home the gang wanted the old man to host because of his fame banking on the fact that lots of people would attend and plunk money down Tim when various raffles now here's the alleged scam sources say the proceeds from the raffle went right into a slush fund used to pay for lawyers for members of the game that commit crimes and the bag owes crew gets into lots of trouble a four year federal investigation resulted in the arrest of 32 gang members for crimes ranging from gun and drug trafficking to robbery Rick Harrison says the gang took advantage of his 72 year old dad who had no idea he was fronting a party for nefarious purposes [Music] number three Rick seems to never get a break three burglars target the home of host Rick Harrison the Las Vegas metropolitan department said officers responded to a burglary call at the Northwest Valley home on the morning of February 16 a resident of the house spotted three strange men in their late teens to early 20s inside the house the men exited the residence before police arrived at the scene and an email Harrison's publicus confirmed that the house belonged to the reality television star understanding the home mortgage process Harrison said our situation turned out better than most as no one was harmed or hurt and they ran away as a member of the community most of my life I hope we catch them and no one else can be put in harm's way by these people again number four Rick and his family don't even work in the shop anymore many people walkins in Gold & Silver Pawn Shop expecting to see the old man Rick Corey and Chumlee working behind the counter however if you're looking to walk in and get an autograph or selfie you might be a little bit disappointed the Czar's of Pawn Stars don't really work behind the counter at all anymore due to their extreme fame they aren't really able to in fact with all the money they've made over the years there's no reason for them to actually work the only time you can actually catch the guys in the store is when they're filming the show leads you to believe that they're always hanging around in the store and you can just walk in and chitchat with them but fans will be a little letdown when they visit this leaves so much in the show's fan base letdown yeah [Music] anything in here jumping out at you number five fans stopped watching the show as previously mentioned although they do a lot of filming for the show there's not a constant camera crew filming all day every day if a seller comes in with a really interesting product during a time that there's no filming taking place producers will actually have the person come back during a filming period when they come back they're sometimes asked to even reenact the entire cell including bartering and anything they did the first time around when they sold whatever they brought into the store the whole point of the show is watching random people walk into the store to try and sew a piece of history although there are some fake parts to a reality show this definitely takes a wave authenticity of the show and makes things a lot less realistic which can be a bit disappointing to fans number 6 Rick might fire corey and chumlee we know how much - corey and chumlee are loved by their fans but both have done some shady stuff in their past Chumlee witnesses so charges and drug possessions but Chumlee isn't the only one with this type of history of the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop Corey has also been in some legal trouble - Corey decided to head out to a bar for a night of fun that would bond up turning into a bit of a messy fight according to TMZ there were claims that Corey got into a verbal fight with another person at a bar in security guards at the bar we're afraid it was going to escalate to a physical fight and called the police once the cops got to the bar Corey and the other person were immediately separated cops also made claims Ike already pushed both a security guard from the bar as well as a police officer as a result they took him into custody where he was held for a few hours until he saw burn up these incidents can get them fired from the show which will just end up hurting the show's popularity number seven his site businesses are falling as the series popularity continued to increase Rick did what Rick does best he expanded if you have ever been to gold and silver Pond you have likely seen Pond Plaza and attached mall of sorts features everything from a donut shop in several other non dining establishments my August 2016 the smoke shop pizza place and donut shop have all shut their doors some of the tenants have complained about the management of the property and rick has taken a lot of heat over the tenants who have departed because of the loss of rental income from the shops that have left palm Plaza rick has initiated some extreme vetting and the hopes of ensuring his future tenants remains to make the place profitable [Music] number eight the show has hurt the shop believe it or not the fact that Pawn Stars has become a huge hit on TV has caused some major problems at the actual shop and set of customers coming in to the store to either pawn sell or buy something people are just going to the shop because they're fans of the show it has become more of a tourist attraction instead of an actual business people are flocking to the store because they're fans not customers all they want to do is take pictures meet the cast and say that they went to the actual pawn shop people are so concerned about getting this perfect selfie that they forget that it's an actual store and not a fake one like you see on TV and as a result things aren't selling like they used to and that's taken a toll on the show and Rick number 9 he is starting the burnout before he fully committed to his pawn business Rick promised his wife that after two years he would massively slow down he said I can't work 12 hours a day every day for too long before it burns me out so two more years and then I'm going to really slow down but the shop will still be around luckily because of the show Pawn Stars he was able to make more money and also work less hours during the day so he signed a contract with History Channel which paid in $300,000 per season he knew that the shop would never generate such income so Rick started to concentrate more on the show rather than the actual pawn shop number 10 the show is being sued we already explained how the shop turned into a movie set when it should be running like a business selling stuff and making profit but because of the show it had to be sacrificed now the show itself is being saved from melting stolen coins where it's $50,000 the show is now at risk if the show stops Rick has to return to working 12 hours a day in his pawn shop like the old days thank you all for making it to the end of the video it truly means a lot for me in the channel if you enjoyed the video we'd appreciate it if you could drop a like on the video didn't like it feel free to dislike although if you really enjoyed the video be sure to subscribe and press that Bell button so you can get notified when our future videos are soon to be released that's gonna be it for me and I'll catch you guys next time thank you so much for watching guys and don't forget to leave a thumbs up and subscribe to our channel if you are new also don't forget to turn that post notification bell on so you never miss our uploads thank you again for watching and we'll see you next time [Music] you
