ADOPTING A DOG FROM A SHELTER!! MEET OUR NEW FAMILY MEMBER

[Music] good morning guys good morning we're doing something kind of crazy today i'm big a little really big a little big it's it's real big real big hey can we just look at that dog we're gonna go get a dog well we're gonna go look at dogs um you guys so you may not have heard all the details on christmas morning when we told the kids we were gonna get a dog no don't you [Laughter] are you excited yeah but you guys we are going to rescue one at the humane society for a few reasons one we want to rescue one two we don't want a puppy with how chaotic our house already is we want a dog that's a little bit older and my parents always rescue dogs from the humane society and they were the best pups ever so we had to make an appointment we've got an appointment scheduled to go look at one specific dog but there's a few that we want to see if they're still available yeah two of them are um alaskan huskies they're pretty pretty dogs they're so cool are you excited bud yes yes you're excited you're excited are you sure how excited though five ten five excited and ten excited you guys we're going to look at dogs okay coda what do we need bud a leash we're not sure what size the dog will be yet so we don't want to get a collar but we want to get a leash just in case so that it doesn't run or get hurt that is pretty cool huh sis what are you thinking we are going to get one today customer service call holdings what is it customer service call holdings live one cody just said are you sure you don't just want a goldfish they said no dad we want a dog fish sound pretty good i love dogs what [Music] that's so funny [Music] is that would be one spoiled dog well now we got a leash and a poop bag we still need lots more stuff but we're gonna see if we can get a dog today first all right after some quick taco bell we made it to the humane society of utah you guys excited yeah yeah there's only i told cody i feel like i'm bringing home a new baby basically big responsibility huh guys gotta treat a dog just like like our family huh brother brother treat him so well yep so we're a little early have to schedule an appointment so we're just gonna wait till our appointment like 20 minutes but we didn't want to be late either we gotta meet one dog for sure maybe multiple we'll see it's gonna be fun [Music] oh [Music] oh yeah [Music] piece of a um okay [Music] um [Music] thank you well guys we want to introduce you to our eighth member of our family pepper we might change it we're not sure yet we've got some treats family of eight peppers what is this thing hey mom [Applause] he was excited to have a home huh what were they saying what were they saying about them earlier they said they've had him on some sedatives that we have to wean him off of because he's just been crying in his kennel so sad so sad he's been like running into walls he's been so sad he is just ready to go up he's sitting right here [Music] oh i love him hi honey he loves us it's just one of us already hi cute boy second day of 2021 we got that beautiful sunset and look at this you guys he's cuddling me hi hey boy oh my heck happy new year [Music] cohen hi peppa okay you guys we're back at petco because this boy needs some food pepper pepper you guys he is so sweet i'm not even kidding this is the dog our family was supposed to have i just know it i feel it in my heart we said a family prayer before we went in to look at dogs that we would just know which dog was right for us and that we would find the puppy that was meant to be in our family and you guys we totally found him he's such a good boy hey pepper he is so calm and mellow with the kids i just love him he's such a good boy but cody just ran back in petco to get him some food a dog bed and other things like that that we might need cody just put a huge bag of dog food up there on the counter he's checking out oh they got a dog bed i see cars holding a dog bed so fun just look at carson with that bed on his you guys got the goods buddy they got you a nice bed yeah they did hold on his leash so he doesn't run and get hit by a car we've got lots going on guys oh you got his bed sitting in his new bed and it's even squished so it's even a lot look he's bigger on you he loves us hello welcome to our home [Music] oh you found your bed already oh yeah what do you want to do oh you're not excited at all are you guys peter pepper come here pepper come here guys just let him explore shut the laundry room dude oh yeah oh and will you close the garage [Applause] is that fun he's such a good boy he loves the ball hi sweetheart who do you think you are pepper huh we have our um he's just like oh i'm just sitting i'm gonna sit here i we put his collar on the camera watch and then he runs over [Music] someone was thirsty [Applause] this is funny that bag's bigger than you are yeah but i can't open it oh my goodness mom i'll help you where do we get ourselves into you see that gotta take good care of him huh guys [Applause] he's so sweet he's just chilling walking around [Applause] [Music] yeah he's good at it like when we got him we took him playing with him he just like would go for the ball and grab it and then and then just leave it and go but now look go get it [Music] give him a hug chloe [Music] like like your face oh i love him just look at him i don't know if these guys like him enough cody just obsessed cody was like don't get on the couch and then he slowly just put his head on cody's leg and then started inching up a little more slowly just worked his way up there he's loving life go say hi pepper already had some like new baby jealousy well i was talking to my guy big boy and cubby's like mom like look at me i'm still here too look at that guys he's the sweetest boy the sweetest boy let's see how he does with lots of people huh he seems to be handling it really well i love that white patch too if not all not got lots of people available coming to see him huh and he's just chill yeah you know [Music] and then look at that this is your house oh my goodness look at this cheerleader let's see a cheer go show me a cheers [Music] even with the baby right next to him he's still yeah like kind of bites face and mouth he just like stops gets away like he knows not to be she was just like look at that [Applause] [Music] [Music] uh are you being spoiled rotten he got a blanket and he's like little gifts back like i was gunning i said you guys should put the bike back and she's like dogs don't [Music] [Music] shake so many tricks [Music] well guys we got a dog today and he's the best boy in all of our lives he is so nice we're not still not 100 sure if we're going to change the name or not pepper she doesn't quite it's hard to say it's hard to say when we're calling it and remember oh guys so we'll have to decide that yeah are you happy oh yeah i don't know if coco is happy enough i am you're happy i'm happy ten out of ten family of eight now and i'm just so happy we could give this sweet boy at home yeah because he needed a home and a family definitely but thanks so much for watching guys we're gonna go try to get this dog to sleep somehow and we'll
