Abandoned Resort in the Woods | Lost in Time | Destination Adventure

[Music] [Music] what's up you guys and welcome to one of the most beautiful places this right here ghost Lake Falls [Music] this is day three of the adventure for me day two for you guys that's because I wanted to fly the drone over top of the falls and all day yesterday it rained and so far all day today it's two o'clock right now and it finally broke so I've got my drone shots now we're just gonna hike up so I can show you guys the Upper Falls [Music] there it is ghost Lake beautiful sight [Music] I'm beginning to realize just how many people watch the show this campsite we're at it's very remote and there's five people here when I walked up last night three of them recognized me from the show and they invited me over gave me a nice lunch and something nice to drink and then a ride back down on the motor home because I walked up here in the pouring rain just wanted to say thank you to them really appreciate it that super nice folks I love when that kind of stuff happens [Music] yeah [Music] I am so happy to be on the move again almost two full days of just sitting and waiting for the rain to go away I am really happy that it did go away and I got to fly the drone over the Falls for you guys and now we are back on the move we are now just arriving to the resort I love these remote places because they're not vandalized look at this every single window still in here I love it calm it Creek Resort is one of those places that has always intrigued me and really baffled me because it's one of the only ones that I almost never hear about my friend Maria a few years ago she sent me some pictures because she found it when she was doing the loop other than that I've only stumbled across the occasional photograph if you look online you can hardly find any information about it it's kind of just out there oh look at the flooring so cool a dartboard there that's where it should be have a sink here wow I can't believe the shape this place is in that's amazing little bathroom here no shower just bathroom and sink probably just bunks upstairs I would assume I wouldn't spend a mattress on each side rats have definitely been in here I love how this stuff is still here wheelbarrow there anything that's not this hard to get to gets ransacked immediately fisherman's head ooh captain's chair this one does have one broken window unfortunately need a little fireplace ooh a bit of a nest going on this one just bunks in the back and then bathroom just toilet yeah whatever's in this nest I hope it doesn't jump out at me look at that yech this roofs held up surprisingly well and then the inside of these buildings are in great condition - OH - really dope there's that many buildings out here oh man look at this this is really neat I don't know if they would have filled this with hot water or cold water but you can see it is four people because it's got the ledge coming along here for sitting on that's so neat yeah this one's seen better days this must been oh maybe not I was gonna say one of the earlier ones because it's a different set up but it's got the toilet here bunks probably this is the smallest one sink there but once this happens there's not much time and it's too far gone and this looks like a big one here oh wow yep you got the couch here table in the corner look at this fireplace big beautiful fireplace hand-cranked meat slicer that's cool oh I love that fireplace oh it's a cook stove that is so cool so wood goes in here heats up the top man that's amazing probably the baffle for the chimney right here Wow think these are yeah just little gas stoves in here so this is this is cool cuz you'd be able to bring a propane bottle in here and get this stove one really easy water wait up there yeah dorsal on it I love this amazing one of the main reasons that I like abandoned places is because I love the history and I like to be able to try and envision exactly what I think it would have been like back in its heyday and komak Creek Resort it's so easy to do that because it's still in such immaculate condition the windows have been smashed out it hasn't been vandalized and graffiti'd everything is just the way that it's supposed to be and that's what made this adventure so special for me we're gonna shape this couches in the cushions were sitting up there on the table I just chucked them on this thing looks brand new I can't believe it I've been torn apart close this door when I leave it was open when I got here but I guess other than that there's a couple holes over there but this door is closed so maybe nothing's getting in here look at this door okay we need to take a minute to appreciate this door because look at this it twists it like a regular doorknob hey real just over here at this hot tub and look it has a drain that's open and functional I bet you could use this today I bet this thing doesn't leak and you can fill it up with hot water how are you so cool look at that the welcome mat is still there even it's amazing here's the shot of the full resort it is small it's such a beautiful spot and apparently there's some campsites back in here here's the sign that says campsites and resorts right there I know how far down the campsites are I think I'll lock up the motor home and then go for a bit of a walk here cabins right here I just want to show you guys something really cool from the ground I thought this was just a water tank sitting here well there's a spot where you can have a fire and then heat this tank up and then you have hot water I thought that was really cool it's first time I've seen that before these gardens outside and there's a big one that goes all on the front there I wish they'd planted perennials they'd be out by now but yes no these campsites they have here these are nicer than a lot of the campsites I see nowadays got a nice little bench perfect flat spot for tent there and a little fire beautiful spots I've never seen campsite with out host that has rockwork not bad I think tonight it's gonna be a good night from mosquito coils [Music] draining again honestly I don't mind I got as far as I wanted to today I got to go filming the awnings up finally feeling good [Music]
