A Rapid Hypnosis Technique in Brazil

i showed you the flashlight a pen light it's not a laser it's just a regular flashlight actually quite a dramatic and very simple technique that does produce very good results and the uh of course objective is if you put the flashlight on the person's forehead have them with their eyes follow the light they have to roll their eyes back in their head you're forcing the eye roll and as you do that if you simply again as the light come closer comes closer your eyelids will get heavier and heavier by the time the light touches your forehead or when you feel the light touch your forehead you will drop into a deep relaxation and as you saw it can be a simple very effective induction cuts out a lot of time a lot of the i'm going to count backwards from ten down to one stuff that takes forever so it shortens the period of time for an induction there are a few dozen approaches like that that are simple and to the point but i wanted to show you two that are common very typically effective and very simple i have one more i was going to show you uh take two or three minutes but it will give you yet one more tool in your toolbox when you go out there to use as uh as induction methods before i do it a comment why would i want to have those if i'm going to use your induction method on stage if i if that clock is running and i have 60 or 90 minutes and i did my talk and i use your induction and i've got my subjects hypnotized and i'm doing my hypnosis and talking about how it refers why would i want to know these other techniques couple of reasons sometimes you go to a corporate event and they will have a luncheon or a cocktail hour or a dinner and you will get asked can you hypnotize someone off stage can you hypnotize someone before the talk can you hypnotize someone after the talk sometimes they will ask you to do some hypnosis i had one company say when you get there you'll get there at noon you're going to go on at two o'clock if i put together 10 of my employees could you hypnotize a couple of them so that they're already hypnotized before you start your talk and you can do some stuff with them before you do your presentation every once in a while you get an unusual request so it would be good to have some techniques that don't require 100 people to pick the 2.14 that if you are one to one or in my if you were sitting there with 10 people you could do some simple suggestibility tests maybe the pendulum maybe the light maybe the one i'm about to show you to identify a couple of good ones before you go out on stage or to show the boss or to do things afterwards because you will get asked afterwards can you hypnotize me can you know can you sometimes my friend and of course it's your judgment call whether you want to do that or not but if you do want to do it and you get asked to do it you should have some simple techniques that don't take forever which is why i'm showing them to you i would use them sometimes you need to pull that flash up there remember that little button for the flash perfect um so you need to have a a few techniques i think you're not going to use them all the time you may never use them but to have them as tools so let me show you another very very simple technique and it is a variation believe it or not of the simplest of all techniques we all at some point are using this right i mean everybody's using something magnet that's that's so common but uh you can take this very very common induction technique um suggestibility test and develop it and turn it very quickly into an induction let me show you you do not speak english right cesar would you mind stepping out of the booth and translate for me right here in real time and so everybody can see it could you come out here would you mind would you volunteer for a moment and i'm going to turn this chair sideways so that everybody can see it he will translate sure [Applause] so my employees would you volunteer concentrate and i'm going to start counting three threes feel those fingers okay okay excellent let's ask your hands together not now in a moment when i ask you his fingers come together again i'm going to count back in three days and by the time i reach number one fingers will be touching okay but this time my socket that's a vase we're going to do with your eyes closed okay okay close your eyes beautiful it's the feel them coming together down down one all the way down deeper deeper deeper deeper sleep way down deeper i've taken a simple test they're expecting me to count three two and then i started down if you're looking if you have a group like this a few people let me show you all simple tests [Music] if you've never worked [Applause] at least once or twice is [Applause] you can try totally very simple she was wonderful give it up again this is a wonderful subject uh i don't know i'm sorry i don't know if you all know her i don't know her first time i met her was yesterday morning we don't speak the same language this was not a setup she had no idea that was going to happen that's the kind of questions i get at conferences you know that person don't you while you two set that up beforehand didn't you or how much did you pay her to do that that's the most conflict but and and you will not get that kind of a beautiful response all the time but if you start with a group of 10 or more people and if you do just very simple tests to see who within this group seems to be more suggestible than the others and if you just take a moment bring them up you remember how that happened a moment well we're going to do this again but this time with your eyes closed remember how and always remember how it felt why am i saying that always trans by association remember that argument you had with your spouse remember that sad movie you saw remember riding a bicycle at eight years old remember how that felt uh hypnotist is always bringing forth the state of mind that they're looking to enhance so when i'm doing my presentations like i did at your conference hypnosis is like driving past your exit on a freeway pulling into the driveway at the end of the day not knowing how you got there daydreaming one of the powerful tools that we have is trance by association is metaphor is giving people examples teaching them by example and when you bring these emotional or these mental states the memories of them forward you're also recreating them helps you become a hypnotist helps you in your hypnosis so the other day even though i knew i was standing in front of 300 people almost all of whom knew about hypnosis most if not all of them studied it this was nothing new to them i still took a few minutes and evoked the feeling driving past your exit talking to someone they don't even hear you saying their name daydreaming in the middle of an office and then i did my tests so i could find my bell cows and do my demonstration there's a formula it's always a formula any questions
