A NORMAL DAY IN MARIO ODYSSEY

things have settled down a bit thank goodness oh yeah i'm so glad everything's back to normal here in the cap kingdom she's just kind of oh oh oh man yeah this is uh this is definitely mario odyssey as i remember it [Applause] hello everybody and welcome back i'd like to introduce you guys to a friend of mine a friend of mine what i like to call andy now i'll let you guys in on something andy if you already don't know he's got a secret you see unlike you and i andy does not like to play games like we do he likes to do things just a little bit differently and today andy wants to play super mario [Music] odyssey [Music] oh it's so subtle it's such a subtle change but it makes everything wrong i mean we could do anything we want to this outfit nothing is going to change it from being as hideous as it is oh even the mario 64 version doesn't have a mustache oh this is terrible i it's pretty incredible how when you change one detail mario's mustache if you take that away he's just a dude but like i don't know man it just it i see why he has a mustache he looks like a he looks naked something else should be different oh well would you look at that floating cans of pepsi the size of a man this is truly a nightmare you really have to appreciate the attention to detail they've even got the nutrition facts printed oh man wow it actually looks really good like this actually looks like sonic what i don't know why i was expecting it to not work i mean it works perfectly fine oh and of course the rings are changed to fit the pepsi color scheme oh that's really nice that's really cute good job guys oh and it just gives you a bunch of pepsi oh my god that is a lot of pepsi that is enough pepsi to kill at least three people the moons are shine sprites i have to get a shine sprite oh i was really hoping the sound effect would be changed but that's so cool it's a shine sprite that makes me so happy oh oh okay that's how you ruin it oh no oh would you look at that the coins are rings we are slowly turning super mario odyssey into the next 3d sonic game one step at a time oh oh oh wait a minute we seem to have found a perfect cross between the two this is mario odyssey folks i know i said that mario without a mustache was unsettling this this is this is just disgusting it's one thing that he's sonic but it's another thing that he's in a business suit and he looks oh my wow this is uh this is new should we should we take a ride i guess how do oh okay okay we're just we're going we're just going ah of course the best remedy for being stranded in the desert and dying of dehydration a nice four foot tall can of ice cold pepsi oh god there's pepsi in the ground there's pepsi in the goombas there's pepsi everywhere you know it really is nice seeing an hd render of a shine sprite in the modern era next to an hd render of mario oh my god i forgot he doesn't have a mustache oh man there is something so unsettling and slightly demonic seeing six cans of pepsi orbiting around a mound of sand i cannot believe what i'm looking at oh gotta go fast that's the edge that's the edge oh god oh god i didn't know that was the edge oh no i lost rings you guys can't tell me this is something unusual okay you never seen sonic in a business uniform on the back of a giant fur running through the desert gotta say i'm a huge fan of mario odyssey right now why does sonic look so shiny he's so so greasy and ready to go that's never a good thing [Music] okay so if everything worked correctly there should be a pipe aha oh yeah here we go [Music] custom maps in mario odyssey now this is something i have always wanted to do somebody actually made a mario odyssey level that's it's custom it's in the game it's real and it works what's that is that a skewer is that coming at me oh my god you can't just you can't just do that did they make that skewer custom in the game because i've never seen that before this is way cool this is like an actual like mario galaxy style level in mario odyssey this is the coolest thing this is a challenging level too this ain't no walk in the park whoa come on let me up yes do not mess up now cannot afford to make any mistakes ooh careful please you can do it we believe in you good luck thanks cappy guy how did you get here why are you guys here oh my god is this a boss fight i'm doing a boss i have one health oh my god there's a bowser fight okay okay uh here we go i could do this though one hp no damage run oh god that's way too stressful got him bowser your ship your ship is going into the lava dude you gotta be careful and there you have it folks a one hp run of bowser's final boss fight oh what do we have here bianco hills oh don't mind if i do i think i'd be happy to go there okay so first impressions um it's beautiful the music is correct it's just uh really really slow this is so weird i mean i'm feeling nostalgic and sl it's slightly unsettling at the same time we should go fight petey piranha we should totally do that oh i could just go up here think i'm a little bit out of bounds in sunshine you would never be able to go up here so i'm gonna do a little bit of off camp nope can't do it oh the music fixed oh i died and the music fixed itself okay i'll take that i don't know why we have sonic rings i'm pretty sure i got rid of that um but we do near tower top well there's no actual windmill i don't think i can go up any higher i think this is the highest you can go let's see what this is then oh my god whoa this takes me all the way back i don't have flood that's why this is so wrong i want to have flood it's just mario with his cap and cappy oh there's petey piranha i found him okay i'm gonna attempt the impossible i'm gonna see if i can get on top of petey piranha got it no no no no oh man i was just trying to climb on top that's all i wanted to do that's the best part of this map undoubtedly hands down that's so cool oh my gosh this is a recreation of bob bomb's battlefield in mario 64 with pepsi cans included okay the pepsi cans weren't part of it i put the pepsi cans in but they're there so what they did was they basically recreated the entire map of bob-omb battlefield from super mario 64 but they made it so that it actually fits mario's new move style it's got all the enemies in it and everything this is so cool they built this from the ground up you know i never played super mario 64. so to be playing this right now as an odyssey mod is really cool i am sure there are tons of secrets to explore here oh all the way up there oh it's supposed to be the koopa that that you race to get up there ah that's too cool i just gotta run i just gotta go oh i'm right there i'm gonna make it right on time look at all the pepsi i got from that what even is this anymore there we go that's more appropriate now you can't even tell the difference between this and the real mario 64. and almost oh oh oh i forgot that i did that [Music] um i can explain you know what i don't think you need me to explain i think i i think this pretty much speaks for itself so this is something called uh the lost kingdom which apparently just takes the entire game and switches things up oh yeah it it really changes things look at the sky the sky looks like an italian water ice oh my god the mushroom kingdom is surrounded by lava what he shoots a giant ball smoldering volcano ancient falls well i would certainly love to see this map but it looks like i won't be allowed to also i'm invisible i'm oh there i am can i just say that this is terrifying because it's terrifying ow okay no that that's that is real lava that is definitely real lava this piranha plant really just ties everything together you guys opened up a shop here oh my gosh there is actually no animation and that's my favorite thing about this luigi there are there are bigger issues right now than balloon world i don't know if you can see what's happening the grass look at the grass i really just want to get out of here i i don't like this one bit oh god the bunny rabbit he bunny rock you can just do that puddle canyon oh you're telling me this is just a flooded area in the middle of the desert i kind of like the blue sand look i mean it makes absolutely no sense but it looks cool that's all that matters in the world does it look cool then it's it makes as much sense as it needs to whoa now this is what i want to see yeah i wonder what color palette they chose for this level i'm thinking just a lot of blue oh it's the ocean can i swim in the water wait i can what well since this is all surrounded by water can i just like i just like swim away it actually looks like i'm getting closer to something what what wait what does the camera just not work beyond this point i'm just gonna go straight and see what happens there he goes okay i can still see myself over there bouncing around this feels like controlling an rc car from very far away look where i am on the map i'm gonna assume that i've pretty much gone out of bounds part of this level appears to be underwater uh which doesn't i don't think that's very safe uh for these robots to be just swimming in but all right oh man many of us are busy watering i think you guys might have probably watered enough looks like you've done the job and tenfold the steam gardens are objectively superior to other regions i mean that's definitely objectively is right dude i mean look what you're doing to your trees you're drowning your wildlife i like to imagine the story behind this is that after mario leaves these friggin these watering guys just got super crazy and they just flooded their own kingdom trying to water flowers oh my god the odyssey is green why is it that every time i'm recording one of these goddamn videos this guy makes his way into it somehow okay so if i'm correct there should be something uh like a hidden level here that we can take wait a second now that is definitely a pleasant surprise you know the best part about this is that the animation actually fits this so well if any of the things we've seen today need to be ported to the original game it's stuff all over jaxy you know i gotta say the green odyssey is actually pretty good looking oh oh god that totally ruined it oh i see okay toad do you want to get down from there are you just gonna it's gonna kind of do your thing i uh am really not sure how i feel about this things have settled down a bit thank goodness oh yeah i'm so glad everything's back to normal here in the cap kingdom we fixed up almost all i certainly oh okay there's no there is no in there's no in to go to okay i could i could see how this is maybe not an effective guard rail um they should have probably reconsidered this when they made it but it's okay oh i don't know what it is about this image right here that's so terrifying but toad levitating like his entire height off of the ground while saying the moon is so pretty i can't stop looking at it oh there he is oh i don't like the way his neck's doing that thing that it's doing why why is it doing that he does look a little bit squished but i mean i mean he works right he does what he's supposed to [Music] look at his long jump look at his neck no i'm glad that we have bowser jr in super mario odyssey he's a great character it's just a shame that he's all stretchy and up i have a sneaking suspicion this is not supposed to be here luigi what are you doing oh this is great this is what i'm talking about this is a mod i can get behind there we go this is what i'm look this taxi driver has no fear oh great here we go wait can i go oh oh my god whoa running through the city oh i can't i wish i could just smash through things can i just step on toad just like you mind if i do you mind if i come in i can't come in okay uh oh okay now i'm in the moat i don't know how to get out of here i think i think i am stuck okay you know what that's fine you just you just hang out there uh dinosaur uh i think we should acknowledge this that's here [Laughter] i am riding so dirty right now oh i'm unstoppable dude oh what happens if i fly off the edge can i just go flying no oh that's not good there i go what a wonderful vehicle yo nice whip toad you mind if i take this i'm about to storm peach's castle can it swim nope yeah but bowser jr can uh oh uh oh um that doesn't sound very good i definitely might have broken it oh yeah i think i think we've broken the game enough we can uh we can consider that broken [Music] what a strip oh
