foreign welcome back to the channel or welcome if you are new here today I am sharing one of the biggest builds I've done in a while this is only on a 40 by 30 lot but it is a massive six bedroom five bathroom house in brindleton Bay and I actually have it set up as a bed and breakfast this is something I've been working on over the last couple of weeks I had like 90 gigabytes of footage to go through to uh turn this into a speed build I had like six hours I think of build footage and it was just a very long process and I really wanted it to be in this style of this world which I think is like Dutch Colonial if I'm accurate with that I'm really bad at figuring out the names of styles but it's pretty much what you see in the world of brindleton bay so I wanted it to fit in and I haven't built on this lot in a really long time I believe it's called Tail's end it has this like really big driveway leading up to it and a view out the back of the water with lots of boats and I just thought it was the perfect spot for a build like this so this is going to on the bottom floor have all of the main living areas that your Sims would be using to like Lounge as well as like the big kitchen and all of that there's a main office for the owner to like check in guests and run business out of and then her private bedroom space and bathroom and stuff is all on the main floor as well upstairs is where of all the bedrooms that are available to stay in are located and there are technically five of those because one of the bedrooms of the six bedrooms is the owner's Suite on the first floor um but for the bedrooms two of them are double bedrooms that have like either end of the house one of them has a balcony the other one doesn't but it's a little bit bigger they're like the more expensive Suites that have their own bathrooms and then there are also two bedrooms in the middle of the house that one has bunk beds and the other one has single beds and I believe there's also a room that has a double bed so there's a variety of ones that you can choose from it's just the three in the middle share a public restroom on the top floor or like a shared restroom on the floor whereas the units on the ends or the bedrooms on the ends of the house each have their own ensuite so uh you could stay wooden whichever one you want and I do have this set up as a rental law unfortunately when you upload rental lots to the gallery they just save this residential but it's an easy thing to just change it to a rental lot and your Sims can come stay here obviously they'd be renting the whole place technically but I liked the storytelling of having this as a bed and breakfast and I think it came out so cute in the end I really hope you'll enjoy it if you do and you'd like to download it it will be available on the Sims 4 Gallery you can find it under my EA ID which is griffy g-r-y-p-h-i and that information will also be in the description down below as well so this is not the final shape of the house uh what we have is going to stay but we're going to add like a big extension over on the right side and tons more Landscaping because it just didn't feel like it was going to be big enough for what I wanted and it was quite the process also I cut out a lot of the painting of this house it was going to be yellow one one point and then I put it down for a couple of days and when I came back I hated the yellow so you know that that kind of happens when you're building you change your mind about how you've created things and it's a whole process it actually ends up being a greenhouse in the end which I really enjoy not like a greenhouse like for plants that the house itself is painted green and I think it looks really pretty that way but this diagonal portion cost me so much trouble to try and get it to work I'm so glad that I pursued and figured it out but it did take a long time I also really like the windows I used on this house the more traditional looking windows are from the cottage living pack and I just think they worked really nicely here at first I tried to use like snowy Escape as well as cats and dogs and it just wasn't looking how I wanted it to I really wanted to have like a more traditional window and then accent it with the windows that I have in the sun room from the greenhouse Haven kits I keep forgetting the names of things and I'm like oh if you think about it long enough you're gonna figure it out but the greenhouse Haven kit I used some of those windows throughout for like bigger Windows just to look nice uh with the panes of Glass on them and then the screened windows in a sunroom portion that I have over on the left side of the build which I think looks so nice I also originally wanted this to be a garage it's not a garage in the end it's actually a door that comes off of the living room I'm pretty sure and it works well I did have quite some trouble with the floor plan as well because especially upstairs is a really weird shape downstairs is too with a really big building so trying to figure out how to cut that up into individual rooms was a challenge but we got there in the end and I think it works pretty well there's only one room that's kind of a weird layout and that's because I had a roofing glitch I could not fix no matter what I did it was cutting into the room so I had to make one of the rooms a very bizarre shape but I still think it works out okay you'll see when we get to it but anyway I decided to put a driveway here anyway for some parking and then we add a little porch here for your Sims to sit down on I end up putting a couple of rocking chairs here which I thought was really cute I used the ones from Nifty knitting I'll be grabbing them a little bit later we do have some now that came with uh growing together and we're also getting a new one with the horse ranch pack and I think the ones from horse ranch are probably my favorite style wise uh the ones from growing together are also really nice because they're modern but for this build of the two that I currently have access to I decided that the Nifty knitting ones would be best so I will place those down in a little while but out the back we have this really big space which I thought would be perfect for a nice deck Outback for your Sims to enjoy uh you're probably staying here to really enjoy like the water side so I wanted like a nice relaxing space outside so there ends up being like a barbecue out here lots of lounging spaces I believe we have a fire pit as well as a um a hot tub back here as well but we'll get to that first I'm trying to figure out the floor plan and I caught out probably close to half an hour not sped up footage of me trying to figure out the floor plan and where to place the stairs of this build because I was so lost in this especially because you can't put stairs on diagonals and I'm just placing down beds where I'm thinking maybe a bedroom could go and like talking it out and pointing at spaces and it took a while but we got there and then when you first walk in there's gonna be the staircase in the main entrance I'm actually gonna make the staircase too wide which isn't something I do very often just because it feels like it fills up too much space it feels like a waste of space basically but we had so much space in this house and it felt necessary and realistic for that to be a bigger staircase so that's what I did leave the stairs in the entry the office off to the side the kitchen directly in the back uh we end up having a bedroom up here this room that I'm kind of sectioning off now is a bedroom and ensuite for the owner and then we have a dining space a big public restroom on the bottom floor and then the sun room ends up just having some other activities for your Sims I have like board games in there and chests and all of that and this is going to be the living room it ends up being a really pretty home I really like how it came out it's interesting how you would probably use this because I was thinking you know bed and breakfast lots of different people would be staying here but like if you're playing in it unless you bring multiple households in one household it's probably probably just gonna be you and your Sims so you can have access to the whole house so I just really wanted the main living spaces to be usable and not like you're just gonna stay in your bedroom so that's what I did and also like if you have a family there's a couple of different bedrooms that have double beds and then there's like more kid oriented rooms so that way there's a different room for everyone to stay and I feel like this could be a fun one for vacations for your Sims I don't I don't build that many vacation homes I guess I did a lot more back when we were getting vacation worlds which I'm glad we don't get anymore we get worlds that you can live in or vacation in but I built things for like salvadorada and Granite Falls quite a bit for your Sims to go on vacations but uh if that's something you'd like to see more of more vacation homes or bed and breakfasts like this let me know or maybe maybe I can build a hotel at some point I think the reason I haven't built a hotel is I really hope at some point we'll get functional ones in the game so part of me doesn't want to build one if we don't already have them if that makes sense uh but I don't know maybe that could be something to do I've also been considering doing another apartment building because I have so much fun with those when we build the outside of an apartment and then go in and decorate all of the individual ones it's just such a fun project so just some ideas that are in the top of my head right now that I figured I would run over with you and see if there are things you would like to see because we have horse ranch coming up soon but aside from that I am just looking for some more ideas and also after that I wouldn't mind doing like a horse girl apartment that sounds fun I think there's going to be a horse girl apartment on the channel sometime soon that would be so fun anyway uh working on the Landscaping some more now I got some overgrown grass we also have a place for bikes to park and a little sign out front with some flowers just like ever so slightly in front of it for some reason that made me so happy how the yellow flowers are like kind of hugging around the sign I think it looks so cute and then out back I also ended up getting some of these rocks kind of leading out they sort of just Trail off the lot I just wanted something it felt like it was so abrupt so I needed to do something here so I added these rocks and some more plants and terrain paint and all of that and then I also sized up a rock over here and put like a bench so you could sit and like look out at the water which I thought was a cute idea and then we should be actually decorating the porch after that also those pink flowers that I put everywhere that are really tall I think they are so perfect those are from cottage living they're actually in the live edit objects catalog and I just think they were such a beautiful touch on the slot they're probably not something that would grow in this area but it's assumed you can put whatever you'd like or maybe they would grow in this area I just associate them with the world they came with which is hand fried on Bagley and so that's what I put over there and here I am grabbing different items for this porch I knew I wanted to use the covered hot tub just because it looks a little bit more traditional with that roof and I thought it looked really cute here that one is from base game we got it for the 20th anniversary it was kind of a a big thing that a lot of people have opinions on and I have had some strong opinions on it as well but it's actually kind of a cute hot tub I am glad we have it and I do use it occasionally and it worked really well here so this is one of the seating spaces I almost said seating seatings uh that I place down I'm just using some of these couches from the perfect patio pack and like a little candle and a place to get some drinks and of course an umbrella for a while the umbrella's sticking through the wall and I didn't notice but I do notice at some point and fix it I also put down some loungers facing out at the water and then over here we add a barbecue it's a pretty simple outdoor space but I feel like it has lots of different activities for your Sims to do you can just like lounge or roast marshmallows sunbathe go in the hot tub and here is that little porch out front I had mentioned where I put these rocking chairs I think they're cute and also there was this debug flower pot that has yellow flowers in it and I thought it was so perfect so I ended up putting a couple of those around the lot and then I put a trash can outside so I wouldn't forget there's a chance that I added another one later because I always forget when I add them but oh well anyway this is the upper head balcony that is for one of the private Suites that I decided you know they could have this to themselves is probably one of the more expensive spots to stay I was thinking it was for a couple like a honeymoon suite so we ended up having a VIP bucket here so they can have some drinks and a nice lounging spot out on their balcony I also added a telescope just because I thought it was a fun activity to put out there um but I don't decorate that room for quite a while I just decided to do the balcony since we were working on the outside but finally moving inside we're in the entryway now I just have a place to hang up your coats as well as some paintings and a chair to sit in in the corner and uh it's a pretty simple entryway but I think it looks really nice also this rug from cats and dogs is one I really enjoy I just feel like I don't use it that often but of course it worked really well for this build so I ended up using it quite a bit in this build as well as some of the lights from that pack uh this is gonna be the office directly off of the main entry one thing I will say say that changes about this office which is quite minor and I do it off camera but the top bookcases are glitching through the floor into one of the bedrooms upstairs so I end up having to change them to be the like single size on top instead of the double height ones if that makes sense those are the new bookcases that we got from the book no kit but this room pretty much looks the same as I have it here I think it's really cute we have a couple of decorations that are like Hey we're in brindleston Bay and lighthouses and water and cute stuff but it's just a place for your Sims to check in I also put all these keys on the wall which I thought was really cute I was thinking they were like locked in there so you couldn't just grab one but this is where the keys to all the rooms are so I put a little sign over there as well and I also was imagining the Sim had a dog so there's a couple things throughout the build for a dog mostly in here and in the bedroom that this Sim has so I have food bowls and like a bed and stuff but anyway moving on into the kitchen now I used these green counters from cottage living I think they are so pretty I was trying really hard not to go like all blue and white in this build because I feel like that's naturally what I would be drawn to for a more Coastal build like this uh but I did end up with the greens in here and I think it looks so so nice I think it looks soft and just really pretty I quite enjoyed this kitchen it's a really big kitchen too uh everything in this house is huge but I think it's meant to be that way this Sim is running this bed and breakfast and it's in this massive home uh like the dining room has two dining tables I mean I did that on purpose I just thought it made more sense to have two separate ones because you're not necessarily going to be staying here with only people you know I thought that made sense but you could probably push them together well I know you could push some together and just make it so it's like one big dining table in the dining room but I just thought it would be different to have two and really show that this is meant to be a bed and breakfast not like a single Sim home or a single family home if that makes sense so over here I'm made this like the coffee bar so there's like a tea machine a coffee machine extra cups and tea bags and we also have like pastries and stuff I thought this would be cute to have like a little buffet style breakfast over here and just making it look like it's actually being used also I just had so much counter space that I had to figure out how to fill up I put some cookies over there and just looking through all of the different pastries I could place down I also got a bread box over here and I believe we get some flowers as well oh and a fruit bowl on the island it's just such a big kitchen uh just getting some dishes over by the sink I also really like that curtain that I have up above the sink I'm pretty much using this curtains throughout the entire build but something about the way it lays over the sink and like is framed out by that shelf that I put above it from the Country Kitchen kit I thought looks so so nice and then I just got a trash can over in the corner as well as some aprons and this corner shelf which I think is just so perfect in homes from brindleton Bay it's one of my favorite I think it is my favorite corner shelf in the game I wish we had more corner shelves because they don't fit with every style but anyway I just got a rug in front of the sink I like to do that so your Sims have something comfy to stand on while they're doing dishes and getting a couple last decorations in here and that should be it for the kitchen it came together pretty quickly but we're moving on into that dining room that has two tables just figuring out a rug first I ended up cutting out a lot of footage like I had mentioned this was like six hours of video of build uh because I was just very very indecisive and Unsure how I wanted things to look and didn't feel like it was matching the rest of the house but I still feel like I kept in plenty so you can understand like the process of how this went along definitely let me know if you feel like it was easy to digest I'm always a little bit worried on these bigger builds which I've been doing more of lately I used to not do big builds very often but lately I've been getting a lot of inspiration to do some bigger ones also some smaller ones I'm still posting tiny houses and apartments and stuff like that because I love those things but it's been nice to sprinkle in some of these bigger builds from time to time so definitely let me know if not only if you're enjoying them but if they seem to be easy to follow enough because if I didn't cut out footage this would have been an hour and a half sped up so I didn't want to do that I don't think anyone wants to hear me talk for an hour and a half and it would have been a lot of like spinning around and placing an item deleting it and placing like 20 other items before I get to the final option but anyway this is the downstairs hallway I think I show most of this I'm not sure if I show the upstairs hallway at all though because it was just kind of repetitive and I didn't want to put you through just like almost nothing important I had to cut something out and then I didn't show all of the bathrooms I think I showed like one and a half bathrooms uh but this is the sun room we're working on this now I wanted to have a foosball table in here a chess table we also got some of the game Stables so you can play any of the games on those don't make the Llama as well as like Puzzles and whatever the other game was that we got with the growing together pack but as long as you have the packs that the games came with any of the games tables can be used to play set games I also got a place to sit down in here and a nice rug and just try to figure out all the colors it's very blue in here but I thought it was kind of fun that we had the blue colors on the tables and chairs so that's what I opted for and I also wanted to clutter up that shelving unit and this chalkboard I thought was so perfect maybe keeping track of score or just like fun little notes I feel like when I was a kid I loved going up to random chalkboards and like white boards and stuff and just writing and drawing on them so it could even just be for that but keeping track of who's winning I think could be really fun uh but here I am adding like some of these plastic buckets that could have like craft supplies in them and then I also added this little shelving piece in here as well and moved some other things around because it just looked more realistic but anyway moving on into the living room now I opted to go for these couches from cats and dogs they of course fit the theme very very well and uh I guess I did kind of fall into the blue and white color scheme in this room or maybe like blue and brown more so it's not that white um but I think it came out really cute in here and we have a nice big TV on this fireplace that's a fireplace that I really enjoy from cottage living because the top portion of it is so thin that you don't have to delete the wall behind it to put a TV up there it just automatically sits perfectly there and that always makes me so happy so I opted for that we also got a bar over on this side I thought about using this one but I actually swapped it out for the one from cats and dogs in the end because of course that matches the style a lot better but I thought this was the perfect spot for a bar it's like right when you're leading out onto that back porch and this was just a big awkwardly shaped room I didn't know how to fill uh so I put a grand piano in the corner because that's what you do with big Corners you don't know how to fill apparently but it just felt like it worked there they could probably have somebody they hire to play the piano in this space or like people can come by and do that it just seems like a nice thing to have in this area I also got some more of these bookshelves from the book Nook kit I changed the color a bunch of times I'm pretty sure we go with a dark brown in the end yeah that brown uh just to fill up this wall and have reading material for your Sims I also put a couple of these barrels from the wedding pack with some chairs around them to kind of look like high top tables I thought that was kind of cute and I believe I just put like a sign or something above it oh no I added the um I think I did add a sign but I added the champagne bottles also from The Wedding Pack those are actually functional so your Sims can grab a drink and then I scaled down a barrel over here and put a plant through it so same kind of idea I just wanted a couple of different areas that your Sims could sit down in this space since you know functionally it's gonna be for one family but the idea was that many people could be here so that way there's different sections or areas that your Sims can sit down and have like their little clusters or groups of people so you're not sitting like directly with other people who are having a conversation you can sit separately so that was the idea there and then I got some lamps behind the couch as well as a couple of other decorations that actually it ends up being three lamps because that Lighthouse decoration I love it so much but it's technically a lamp and I put it everywhere in this build it's absolutely everywhere because it's so perfect because you know Seaside build and that is actually a like replica sort of thing of a lighthouse that's actually in Bridlington Bay on I think it's called dead grass Island I'm pretty sure I've built there a couple times before I don't build there very often just because it feels like it's a little bit difficult to figure out what to put on that island but that's another place I would be totally down to build if you have any ideas I have so many ideas right now though so I don't know when I'm getting to everything and I'm feeling really motivated and excited about content so that's really good so uh expect some things on the channel this week as soon as I finish this voiceover and get this video out I am working on some more things that I started last night and just like inspiration struck and I couldn't stop building and I love what I'm working on and I'm just very excited to share it so this is the bedroom I had mentioned that has a really weird layout because of the roof clipping in so I have this weird like triangle cut off in the corner uh so it's it's a very strange shape but I still think this room came out nice it's our one bunk bed room I was kind of thinking this was more of a kid's room so I ended up adding this really cute stool over in the corner as well as the toy box in here and just like a couple of decorations that kind of lean more kid oriented whereas the other bedroom I have that has two double beds is just kind of generic although it's pink which I thought was really pretty uh but I do end up putting this little decal in here of that dog I know we just moved over it but I was thinking that was a sticker of the dog that lives here that the owners and that kind of like roams around his and is friends with all of the people that stay here I love the idea of that it makes me think of when I stayed at an Airbnb once and they had a dog and their dog was actually having a friend over so there was two dogs just running around the property coming to say hi constantly and it was amazing so I guess I was thinking about that a little bit while decorating this house but anyway this is our first double bedroom this is one of the ones that doesn't have an ensuite but I think this room might be my favorite it has this little bench over here I added some pillows onto using the tool mod one is just like a debug pillow from pillow fights and the other one is actually a meditation stool that I rotated and I just have a couple of paintings up above that it's a very blue and brown in here all of the rooms have kind of similar color schemes because I tried to use the same double bed in different swatches amongst them and then I also added this little table tent here from the dine out pack on all of the dressers or all of the either a dresser or on the desk in each room because I was thinking that would have like the information about where you're staying or you know how like hotels have like some sort of information card so that's what I did there this is that room that I mentioned that was pink I decided on that because I was just going through the swatches on this bed and I thought that that was the prettiest one and then I just got a little dresser over here from cottage living and I've been loving this rug from growing together lately I've been using it in like every Swatch and of course the flower one worked very well for this bedroom and got a little ottoman over here a plant because I have to tuck those into every corner and I also got a clock over here pretty simple room I end up using the same artwork pretty much throughout the entire build so there are definitely repeats of these from uh not cottage living from cats and dogs but they were too perfect to not use everywhere and I feel like it makes sense in a place like this that there would be some reused artwork they probably got some of it in bulk or maybe some of the photos were taken by them themselves and they just got lots of prints done of them I thought that that was a cool idea but this is our first of the bedrooms that have an ensuite this is not the one that has the balcony though it does have its own fireplace though which I thought was quite nice it's the same fireplace that we have downstairs the other side also has a fireplace the other one the one that has the balcony but because of the balcony where the doors were it had to be a smaller fireplace so that way you could still access the doors but it has pretty much the same Vibe as the other the other bedrooms with the same dresser we have an ottoman the same sort of lamps I wanted them to all feel cohesive in like the house to all match together so that it felt like you were staying in the same space uh so they're not drastically different but I showed them all anyway because they do have different color schemes so this is going to be the bedroom that has the balcony that I showed earlier I think it's really pretty I did struggle in here a lot trying to figure out a rug because of the Swatch of this bed with the pattern I just could not figure out what I was doing in here for the longest time I'm pretty sure in the ends I end up changing the Swatch of the bed which is really sad because I really wanted to use this green one but it just wasn't working with whatever rug I put it was just too much pattern or not enough pattern or maybe I did keep it I did keep it I swapped out the rug okay that makes me happy I know for a while I had changed out the bed and I'm glad to see that I actually came back to it and kept to that bed that worked well and then over here in this little window space I decided to put a couple of chairs free Sims to relax in and then I have the same ottoman that I put everywhere else and I ended up just putting some artwork above it and uh changing my mind about what art I won't wear I just was very indecisive with it but I think this room came out really cute I like how I put the mirror through the dresser that mirror is from the basement clutter kit it's one of my favorites right now and I also got some of these little rugs in front of the doors to lead outside and I actually ended up having those outside all of the doors upstairs as well for each of the rooms and like a little sign next to each door so it looked like there was a room number or name or something but anyway this is going to be the private room for the owner of this property they have a bedroom that has like a little dining space in it a spot for their dog and I think a desk as well it's pretty small but it's bigger than some of the other rooms and of course they have access to the whole property they own it they can use the kitchen and all of that but I wanted a space for just them and I ended up giving them the poker Dog painting which I'm gonna move around the room a few different times but I tried to use it so many different times in this build it just wasn't working but finally it made sense in this room so I was happy with that they also have like the little dog succulent over in the window a nice fireplace and there's definitely more of a green and pink color scheme in this room which I really really enjoy and uh so just getting some toys and stuffed animals and a little pillow and stuff on this dog bed some of this might cause issues with dogs using the bed if it does those are easy things to delete but I thought that they looked cute I also got some books over here on one of the chairs as well as some trunks at the end of the bed that's actually a functional like dresser from werewolves I just thought it looked cute to put at the end of the bed so that's what I did and then we just got a little TV or a big TV up on the fireplace and a couple of chairs facing that so that way if this Sim has any company they can have them come hang out in the chairs watch TV have a cup of tea all of that and then over here I was trying to decide if I wanted to have a wardrobe or a closet or a desk it looks like I kept the Wardrobe in the end which is interesting because it would have been nice for the Sim to have a desk but I guess they do have access to their office right inside the front door that is their space as well so although I feel like anything that comes here is going to be messing with that and technically this doesn't function as having an owner anyway unless you want to be the owner and then have roommates come over there's different ways you could run this there's a lot of different ways to play this but I was kind of imagining it was a rental you go and visit but this is the downstairs public restroom it just has a couple of stalls in here I wanted this to be a space that more than one sim could use it once since it's downstairs in the entertaining space and then upstairs all the other bathrooms only have one toilet so they don't all look like this but this is one that I did include because it was bigger and then this is the bathroom that is the ensuite to the owner's bedroom uh which is more in line with what the other Beth the other bathrooms look like we have like the same shower tub combo bow sink in toilet which are all from Beast games surprisingly I just thought that this shower top combo made the most sense with this style of house so that's what I opted for and then upstairs they end up having the same stuff just in a different layout and I believe I added different towels and rugs and all of that sort of stuff but that is pretty much it for this build I hope you enjoyed this thank you for listening to me talk for half an hour please enjoy the screenshots and like this
