good morning jerusalem we are now at the corner of the northern wall with the western wall of the city the walls were built by suleiman the magnificent but it actually built it on top of ancient walls as well what i'm doing today in jerusalem oh it's a very important day i'm headed to the church of the holy sepulchre the place that jesus was um crucified buried and of course resurrect but this time i'm going because of two reasons the first one is the acceleration of the holy cross today saint ellen santelena found the cross i'm talking about many many many years ago 326 a.d first century and the second reason sorry is that it's not less important the dedication of the church of the holy sepulchre at um 335 a.d then in that case their church is more than lots of years you can do that mathematic look how beautiful there's the wall look how green is the grass and september in uh in israel it's still a quiet i must say quite a holy hot month it's gonna be not so hot um like like in august uh but it's gonna be around the 90s or 30 degrees but it's so breezy and it's cool now and it's less um less humid than tel aviv in terrible sweating and what are those barriers [Applause] tonight thousands of thousands of jews will arrive the western wall uh this is what is yeah this is the last day for repentance [Music] uh it's yom kippur david toyment in the day of enjoyment we must ask forgiveness from god which is not so difficult but the most difficult part is to ask a forgiveness from people who committed sin between each other i mean friends families lots of wind i hope that they can hear me then in the mirror uh you have to call each other you have to reach each other and ask for your for their forgiveness and if i did something wrong for you i'm so sad and i'm asking the same thing why not the wow it is actually near from 16th century suleiman the magnificent build it but you can see that there are so many towers around it and the gate in front of you is jaffa gate right there and to the right of it this is a tower of david it's a fortress that was built even before king herod uh but mostly knows by king herod because he built something massive why they'll default this dress mainly because this is the highest place of the city and from there it could control the city now you can see minaret which is the muslim um sight it's part of the mosque that is correct everyone who conquered the city and so many did it use it as the fortress behind the fortress the other side of it you will be able to find this palace today it's a police station the palace of king herod was there and about that there are two possibilities of the praetorium place the place that pontifida judge jesus the well-known one is the antonia which is a fortress that was built by king herod and he could control what's happening in the temple a very i think that it's almost obvious that it could be there but another option is right outside the palace of uh king herod that used as a palace by pandu spilat as well then two possibilities java gate mainly because it leads to jaffa which is tel aviv today that's the way to jaffa this is the west part of jerusalem another way to call it the jewish part of jerusalem and if you're talking about food if you're arriving to jerusalem don't ever say no to the bagels i must say that the falafel is not so good but the jerusalem not death for love the falafel jerusalem is amazing um that is the baker like smell it and it can add ease up into it jaffa gate let's enter the gate you can see that we are now turning left we cannot go straight into the city because as enemies it'd be easier for us to do that and the one who built it wanted to make it more difficult for us now let's go to the map and about the map yes it could be better if i will plan the tour in advance but it doesn't go like that with me it's like someone tells me what to do when i reach in jerusalem then i'm so sorry that i'm not adding maps into it i want it to be as surprising to you and to me but here there's a map then let's talk about jerusalem i started the tour from that garden i went through the walls and this is the tower of david and jaffa gate our david the sun will be in your eyes for a minute here it is and what we can actually what i'm gonna do now i'm reaching the church of the holy sepulchre um this time i will go through david street until the christian quarter street and then to send helen street and to church of the oldest applicant the ceremony begins in about an hour but i'm not sure that they will let me be part of the ceremony because the chapel is too small for i mean only 20 people can go in but that just that's why i'm entering earlier today and betty i remember your 33 candles and in that case david street until the christian quarter street and then highland street i will enter to the church of the holy spirit but if you're talking about the map you can see that we do have four quarters the crystal water the church of the alexander is the center of it the armenian quarter which is behind that uh fortress the jewish quarter is a small one and the biggest one is the muslim water the most important part here is the temple mount beautiful isn't it if you're talking about that wait what's up with that if you are watching that video for the first time and you never watch my videos the fails first subscribe my channel and even push the button of the bell and be part of my family secondly i do have 19 000 videos then you can actually watch so many of them uh lately by your request i started to add long distance uh tours and um and it makes me happy if you do have some questions don't hesitate today i'm going to light some candles at the church of the oldest replica and and i will put some notes at the western wall i'm gonna do it for everyone who will ask me to do that i'm doing it once in two weeks but the best way to do that is to enter to the link which is at the description and it's called buy me a coffee and then there you can ask me whatever you want uh if you want to pray if i want you if you do have a special prayer i will do that for you um why there is not in other places you can have to do that in other places well let's wait for the noise to go [Music] because there's so many who asked me to pray and it's easier for me to go through that link i'm actually reading each one of it and then later on i will upload a video that i'm preparing especially for you uploading to everyone who asked me to do that and and and of course i would upload it to youtube this is david street the shops are closed because of two reasons first of all it's very early as you can see there's not a lot of people anyhow secondly there are no tourists then you're lucky because you can see the city without them when the outdoor is here and it might be it's actually very crowded um about the question when the tourists will arrive there's a rumor that at the end of september groups will be able to go in to enter to israel and um and uh later on individual uh tourists let's say in early october we'll be able to go in this is the christian quarter street just like a mansion and we will continue until saint helen street it's important to know that the israeli tourism minister is changing it every day then the best way to know it is by going into the government side of tourism is a tourism government side and you will find all the information about it how you will get visas how you will get that and that and that and that that's their beautiful color self strict isn't it i love the shops here soon you will see a pavement from third and fourth century now we are walking on the 20th century pavement sorry i didn't make breakfast yet i wanted to be as soon as i could in uh jerusalem to show you the church before the ceremony if they would let me into that and if not i will uh reach that place again a few hours after the ceremony and that's the chapel will be a opening you can see already the franciscans months as i believe on the way to the church to the ceremony this is the pavement from the third and fourth century and there's a wonderful bakery here started opening it but the smell is so good there's a greek orthodox monk now but there's a tractor behind me oh we can run away it is in front of you is mask of bernard i must say that there are muscles usually next to homicides nature in the jewish water and and in classic water it's a symbol of we we're the rulers and we are controlling you the mask of omar is that a nice story omar according to tradition enter to jerusalem and visit the church of the holy sepulchre the bishop there asked him to pray in the church but he said he will pray in the church the muslims will turn it into a mask then he went outside he prayed there and then they built a mask on top of it another franciscan monk on the way then in that matter you can see that they say for prayer only most if not all of the muslim side are forbidden for non-muslims i never been there now we know that i'm not a muslim and and why because they can only sites belongs to the people who held that place and this is the muslim place we're now entering to the holy sepulchre the holy shoot look at the beautiful door which they are closing at 7 pm or a little later than that and this is the most famous facade of the church oh you can see the white apparently it's going to be a huge celebration sadly without tourists and facade is mainly from 12th century but the church is earlier than that of course from we actually talked about uh 335 the only problem is that their church been destroyed so many times now before they will close my chapel let's see if we can go into it now as you can see there's so many kind of of uh priest here from domination i mean um greek orthodox armenian catholic you can see here that he is actually adding some oil into the lamp what's up let's continue to the chapel but the story jesus was crucified here if we climb up we will see we will visit the calvary later on i will do that after he died the purified his body like every attitude and they put a shroud around him the anointing table is in front of you i don't know if you can see but it's filled with oil and then they buried them now the priest franciscans goes now to the chapel let's look they're climbing up to the calvary then we are rushing first to chapel i'm sure that they will do a ceremony all over the church but i cannot stop everywhere because a little bit of the golgotha remember that they told you that actually this is the exit but above us is the kolkata then you can see part of the bedrock right in front of you you can see some armenian art and that door will lead us to the most important chapel of today that's where they find the true cross i love the smell of that place can you hit the bells [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] i don't know do you feel the energy because i feel it [Music] another reason for the exaltation of the cross the true cross is that and it's in the armenian chapel at the seventh century the persian country conquered the city and it destroyed the the church and they took the true cross at 629 regulars the bishop brought it back then in that matter white in it is in the armenian chapel because he had armenian roots we are heading out to the most important chapel and i'm still alone i'm so happy that i reached that place earlier than others but the smell of the answers is amazing and because of the the first it's uh as you can see it's fully light and you will see every image here then the feast of the true cross september 14 we are now at september 14th held right here when i'm constant in order to look for the correct side of the church they went into here i mean not only here and started to dig to look for evidence 326 99 and nine years before the dedication of the church they arrived here and they excavate here and they found the crosses they gave some talent their honor to look for literal cross in that area they found three different crosses is it okay yes please please um the few uh verses of that story but the idea is that uh they took an old lady she was sick or even dead and they put the first cross on air nothing happened the second cross nothing happened and you know exactly what's happened at the third cross they found it across and you can see here centennial with it a little bit of the history of that room first of all you saw me it's the lowest sight of it then it's historically lost please that area of the church was used at the beginning of the quarry by king herod somehow the stones for the temple were taken from here after he died no one used it uh because it was a government place then people started to bury their dead here and there are lots of jewish tombs here it means that it was outside the gate ah look at the cross because of the light you can see it wow later on because of lack of water they use every uh place as water system then you can see that they cover it with plaster let me do here it is you're not there it's okay sorry they use it as what is this you can see the bucket holes amazing isn't it another beautiful thing to see is that you can see the body of christ amazing then this is the end of that video later on i will put the camden's bedding right there but the ceremony will begin soon if you really like that movie the video you can join my family by subscribe my channel you can ask me whatever you want see you in my next video
